Willie and Sandra, owners of Idube guest house best hospitality you can find. Very comfy house and nice and quiet area. Our experience is exactly what previous reviews and photos were telling, excellent place to stay.

Heel mooi groot huis met prachtig uitzicht op het park en de dieren. Heerlijke omgeving. Zeer lieve eigenares Sandra.

The animals were right there and close to the start of the Ntabamoya Run.

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum Übernachten und Ausspannen! Die sehr saubere Unterkunft ist hervorragend ausgestattet und bietet sehr viel Platz. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, danke, Sandra!

Die Atmosphäre ist wirklich toll. Tiere kann man von der Terrasse aus beobachten und auch sonst hat es uns gut gefallen. Die Gastgeberin ist jeder Zeit erreichbar und hat uns mit Heizlüftern ausgeholfen.

Wir waren im Winter dort und haben etwas gefroren, da wir keine Klimaanlage hatten. Was allerdings unsere Schuld war, dies hätten wir bei der Buchung beachten sollen.

The property was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a fantastic family getaway. We especially loved how peaceful it was and the animals that wandered casually around our properties, from the buck and giraffe to the warthogs and zebras! What an amazing experience. The owner, Sandra Fourie was beyond accommodating and she is such a warm, friendly person which made us feel like we were coming home. Her recommendations for activities, food and restaurants in the area were most appreciated.

Great place in a beautiful gamereserve. Continiously animals around, lovely to walk around. Easy to reach the hikes at the Drakensbergen. The house is huge and clean. Sandra and Willie are the best hosts! Hope to return in the future.

The house and surroundings are exceptionally beautiful! This is a must visit type of place for anyone traveling to or through the area. The house is modern and cosy with everything you need to be comfortable. It is amazing to be surrounded by wildlife without leaving the house. With such great hospitality to top it all off. I will definitely be visiting again!

We had the whole time grass cutting and weed eaters around our house. Therefore the animals stayed away.

Fantastic views, Sandra the host was amazing and the animals strolling through the farm was a lovely touch every morning and evening

There was quiet a number of electricity blackouts but that was not the fault of the host.

There was no pool

The space is spacious and lovely home they have there.

The people who come and clean arrived an hour before checkout, that makes one so uncomfortable coz now they in your space. It would be great if they arrive after the checkout time. And the pool in the area isn’t clean

The accommodation and location were outstanding. The game animals were healthy and well and all around the house. It was perfection. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Sandra is a fantastic host.

Tranquility at its best. The sound of birds in the mornings and evenings. Animals walking about freely in their space. The accommodation had everything and more. The booking process was simple and the host was awesome from the beginning. She remained in contact with us until we arrived safely and were let into the premises. Definitely first class and a 5/5. I love the mountains so definitely will visit again soon

Everything was perfect ,peaceful and tranquil setting .

Tout était parfait. Sandra et Willie sont des hôtes très accueillants adorables et toujours de bons conseils. Le logement est très propre et dispose de tout le nécessaire pour passer un excellent séjour. Au réveil, nous avons pu observer à 2 pas de notre logement des girafes, des impalas. Au coucher du soleil, les zèbres. Concernant les activités, foncez les yeux fermés. Nous avons pris le package entier et avons passé une incroyable journée riche en partage. Ne passer pas à côté du barbecue proposé par Sandra et Willie, c'est un pur régal. Un seul mot pour notre sejour : AMAZING

The property is absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything was clean and well cared for, and the atmosphere was calm throughout our stay. The only thing I missed was the presence of animals, which would have made the experience feel even more connected to nature. Still, a lovely place overall and highly recommended for those seeking tranquility.

Five-Star Stay at Idube Guest House! We had the most wonderful experience staying at Idube Guest House in Winterton. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The lodge is self-catering and thoughtfully equipped — we didn’t need a single thing! Everything was perfectly in place, making our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. One of the most unforgettable parts of our stay was the wildlife. We were lucky enough to watch giraffes roam peacefully right from our terrace — they came so close, it felt surreal. It was such a calming and beautiful experience to see them up close in their natural surroundings, along with other wildlife that made the stay feel even more special. The owner was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It truly felt like a home away from home. The views from the guest house were absolutely breathtaking, and the cozy fireplace inside was a BIG bonus— especially during these winter evenings. Every detail was taken care of, and it made for a peaceful and memorable getaway. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

Een prachtig huis / appartement op mooi privé park. Alles was meer dan perfect. Gastvrijheid, mooie uitzicht! Mooie kamers, goed ingerichte keuken! Het waren heerlijke dagen om onze vakantie af te sluiten! Komen heel graag nog meer terug!

Wat een gastvrije eigenaren zijn Sandra en Willie! Daarnaast is het appartement/bovenverdieping heel schoon en verzorgd. Alles wordt met liefde en zorg onderhouden. Er is koffie en thee, hout voor de openhaard en de gebruikelijke toiletartikelen. Buiten staat de braai helemaal schoon te popelen om te worden gebruikt. Het zwembad ligt er mooi bij, maar voor ons in de winterperiode te koud. Prima uitvalbasis voor hikes in het prachtige Drakensberg.

Wij hebben alleen kleine dieren gezien rondom het huis. Je kunt samen met Willie op de farm op zoek naar giraffen en zebra's, die er voldoende zijn binnen de hekken van dit landgoed. Maar na 3 weken wild parks was dat voor ons niet meer nodig. Enige minpunt is iets waar de eigenaren niets aan kunnen doen, maar in dit hele gebied rondom Drakensberg is de armoede erg zichtbaar. Dit leidde niet tot een onveilig gevoel, wel voor een beeld van het grote contrast en harde werkelijkheid.

This property is worlds apart from what we have experienced before. In a nutshell, heaven on earth is an understatement: The luxurious three-bedroom apartment is tastefully decorated, and every window view reflects awesome pictures of nature, which are usually only seen in a travel magazine—except it is not AI; it's for real!! The Out of Africa movie scenes can be compared to this property’s spectacular landscapes. That is to experience the Acacia trees gracing the land, filled with wildlife - Springboks, Giraffes, Wildebeest, Eland, and so much more, integrating with the bushveld grass, water streams depositing peace and tranquillity into being. To top the experience, go on a game drive, which can qualify as a bucket list item. Willie, a charming host, can retell historic events in the area, leaving you speechless. He is the best 4 x 4 driver we have experienced. No seat belts are necessary; he is brilliant at navigating the most impossible terrain. Be wise and stay at Indube Guest Lodge for at least four days. There is so much to do in the area and too little time. Need information about the area? Ask Willie; he has it all at his fingertips. Then there is charming Sandra, who is the hostess in a million. If you want to feel warm, welcome and loved, yip, she is the one who can make you feel appreciated and never want to leave. Lastly, expect only the best as there will be no disappointments.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! When I booked the place, I almost couldn't believe the price compared to other good accommodation options in the area. The facilities were fantastic, Sandra was an exceptional hostess, extremely welcoming with lots of little touches like milk in the fridge provided for. The location on the game reserve is exceptional, we were able to walk around freely and saw buck, zebra and giraffe. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't stay even longer, even though it was offered to us by Sandra if our hiking in the Drakensberg didn't go to plan! I really can't express enough how much of a great option this is.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Idube Guest House this past weekend! From the moment we arrived, Sandra and her husband made us feel right at home. The unit was surrounded by beautiful wildlife, and we loved spending time in the peaceful and serene surroundings. The braai area and swimming pool were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning scenery. Sandra truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making sure every little detail was taken care of, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We also had the incredible opportunity to join a wildlife safari game drive, where we learned so much about the wildlife, the farm, and a few fascinating facts that made the experience even more special. This trip is truly something to remember, and we are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Thank you, Sandra and your husband, for making our stay unforgettable! We can't wait to visit again!

Apartment was very clean and comfortable, the locations was stunning -really amazing to be able to see the wildlife from the windows and to be able to walk around the farm for closer looks! The hosts were absolutely lovely! Sandra gave us our own private tour on arrival and very kindly gave us some wine/beer! Was also excellent location for the balloon ride and walks around Drakensberg. Would recommend to anyone.

Sandra was an exceptional host. The unit is very comfortable and well equipped. We loved the surrounding game farm and had the pleasure of three visiting giraffes right on our doorstep.
