De ligging van het hotel is goed, heel centraal gelegen met vrije parkeergelegenheid aan de overkant!

Kleine kamers zonder ruimte om iets op te bergen. Badkamer zonder redelijke ruimte om wat neer te zetten. Warm water maar niet heet uit de douche. Op aanvraag van advies van een whisky werd ons een glas van 12 pond geschonken. Geen goede koffie zoals espresso.

Helpfull staff allowed me to park motorbike behind gate overnight for extra security.

Die Gastgeber, Leo und seine Familie, sind sehr warmherzig und geben einem das Gefühl sie schon länger zu kennen. Total unkompliziert in der Kommunikation, interessiert und immer für ein Gespräch zu haben. Die Lage ist sehr schön, direkt an einem kleinen Park am Fluss mitten in der Stadt. Es ist alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und auf den Matratzen ließ es sich super schlafen. Besonders hervor zu heben, ist die gute Küche. Das Frühstück war schon richtig gut, und Abends ist sie hervorragend. Das Wild, das Lamm und das Rind kommen von Leos eigener Farm, und der Koch weiß gut zu würzen. Alles in allem komme ich definitiv wieder und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Do not stay here! This was booked as a business trip for our engineers who were working on a site nearby. The place was absolutely filthy with dirt mould and cobwebs. The carpets were dirty and the whole place smelt of damp. Toilets were not clean either. They didnt eat in the restaurant as they couldn't face it and dreaded returning in the evenings Our guys left after 2 nights as they couldn't stand staying there any longer. The photos on booking.com were not of the manor hotel they stayed at. I believe they were actually of the sister hotel also called the Manor House On checking out on the 2nd morning (booked and paid for 4 nights!) There was no one around to discuss this with.

Great hotel, good size and clean rooms. Welcoming staff and great food.

Room was dirty, toilet had not been cleaned, bed had been used, bath mat was deteriorating, towels had been used. Receptionist was not interested. Very poor. Will not use again. Prices were extortionate.

Absolutely nothing

Upon arrival, our engineer was redirected to a separate property down the road, Waterside House, rather than the accommodation we originally reserved at Manor House. This alternative property was in an unacceptable state, exhibiting severe wear and tear, lack of cleanliness including the bed and mattress and dampness throughout. When he returned to reception at The Manor House to raise these concerns, he was offered an alternative family room. However, this room also appeared unhygienic and improperly cleaned. Due to these unacceptable living conditions and potential health and safety risks, our staff member was unable to remain at the property and had to find alternative arrangements.

Breakfast cooked to order. Also choice of cereal and fruit juices

Not much and definitely would not recommend. Dinner was good and it’s not far from station.

Stayed in room 9 at the top of the stairs no offer of help with luggage. Room was dirty, hair in bed not sure the beds had been changed duvet had a hole in. V dirty bathroom shower not cleaned, tooth paste splatters or worse over the mirror sink and tap dirty. Dust on toiletries. Some towels frayed. 1 plastic hangar and some hooks. No soundproofing could hear the person next doors telephone conversation and the belching and farting hugely unpleasant experience.

Perfect for an overnight stop on our bike trip around the north of Scotland. Thurso has very little godforsaken it but hotel had great food and a nice little bar. Also had off road parking for my motorbike

Unique building for a hotel experience

We were required to provide our passport numbers, etc. We stayed at nearly a dozen places throughout the UK and this was the only one to require additional registration information. The bathroom was not the best. It was difficult to get any sleep due to the noise from the bar, the live music, and what seemed like millions of birds who chattered all night long. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. There was no clear signage to identify the hotel from the exterior. It just wasn’t our favorite on the trip.

The owners were lovely people and very helpful. The bar and food were good and the location was excellent.

The rooms were very small for a three day stay. We were upgraded to a larger room but the bathroom facilities were poor.

Het was in de kamer zelf niet heel goed gestofzuigd, lagen nog lange haren in een hoek.

Bed mattress needs updating , bedsheet holed, quilt cover stained, towels threadbare and stained, dirty unclean tea/ coffee cups , 8:05 builders started work on adjacent room, drilling, hammering and general loud talking with no prior notice ! Too early when you’re on holiday and paid £111 ish for a night.

Das Zimmer war klein und unkomfortabel, eine Abstellkammer. Kein Fenster, nur eine Dachluke.

Das Manor House ist speziell - man könnte sagen es besitzt Nord-Schottischen Charme. M.W. ist das Haus Inhaber-/Familien geführt und befindet sich wohl seit einigen Jahren in der Renovierung und im weiteren Ausbau. D.h. unser Zimmer war wohl zeitnah renoviert und damit ok, es ging auf eine ziemlich ruhige Straße und Fluß raus. Das Haus Äußere, der Eingangs- und Frühstücksbereich warten wohl noch auf die Renovierungen... Die Bar im Haus ist recht nett, der Chef serviert das (schottische) Frühstück an den Tisch und das hat schon auch etwas. Hohe Ansprüche sollte man aktuell nicht stellen, andererseits ist es durchaus persönlich und Alle sind nett. Auch das Abendessen war ok. Fazit: Es war OK, aber die Ansprüche nicht zu hoch einstufen.

Der Frühstücksbereich ist sehr nüchtern und nicht wirklich einladend...

Eingang,Frühstücksraum,Zimmer,Bad waren sehr schmutzig. Bett Haare. Wir bekamen nach Beschwerde ein anderes Zimmer, aber leider das gleiche Problem. Wir konnten dort nicht übernachten und baten um Stornierung. Warten noch auf die Rückzahlung. 26.05.26

The room was a bit smaller than expected, although nicely refurbished. There were no hooks anywhere so nowhere to hang coats etc and no wardrobe being a small room

Cold room. Noisy event in room below us. I went down to the bar to complain Cramped bathroom. Uncomfortable single bed that rolled out when you sit up. Lack of space for bags.

Location was good. We were lucky as the night we stayed it was a music night. Local musicians arrived sang folk songs and played various instruments.

Our room was not in the main hotel it was 200 yards up the road. The entrance to this building was littered with disused furniture and linen. The corridor was filthy and carpet full of holes. Our room was very sparse, no bedside cabinets, no chest of drawers. The bathroom had nowhere to put anything. The drinks tray had no teabags or milk. There was no evacuation procedure details in the room.In the main hotel there was no furniture in the bar so you couldn't sit anywhere for a drink.

Der Wirt hat uns nach 7 Stunden vollkommen zugequatscht und uns Abendessen und Frühstück aufgeschatzt. Das haben wir dann storniert. Weil wir haben sehr gut am Hafen gesessen und es gibt gute Bäcker im Ort

About 400 yards from the railway station, and close to the centre of town. Supermarket approximately 400 yards. Room very spacious with a lounge, and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom squeezy, but adequate. Nice views, and lots of light. Hotel very warm, but possible to turn heater off, and open windows. On busy road, but quiet after 2200.

Hotel being renovated, so lots of dust. Breakfast adequate, but not great.

Friendly, helpful staff. The food was good and we appreciated the option of half size portions.

As with many older hotels, there is no lift, which is a slight inconvenience as we age. There was no lounge by the bar for guests, but I believe that is a work in progress.

Beds need new mattresses. Warped and overused. Older accommodations. Low budget .

The breakfast was okay think it was reheated but was alright apart from sausage which was so over cooked I could not even bite into .not a chance of cutting it

We stayed in room four which was good fir price we oaid. Only problem was en suite had a terrible smell like rotten fish but apart from that it was usable

Location was great. You have everything you need within 5 minutes walk. Recommend eating at the hotel as the food is amazing and the ingredients are locally sourced. Staff is very nice and helpful. Will come back there if I have business in the area.
