Great location and modern

The aircon was very, very weak. I found it too hot in the room and it wasn’t the hottest day of summer by any means. There was also a fire alarm that went off at 10.40pm… trudged out and then got waved back in shortly without any explanation or apology. When checking out, not even the hint of an apology from staff… adding even dare ask how the stay was. Very poorly handled. Fire alarms happen but it is how the hotel deals with it that counts

Good location, staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing negative to report. Flexible check-in and a very clean, tidy, and presentable room. Comfy beds, reasonable check-out time.

Breakfast - good range of food. No fruit salad/fruits which I like to eat. Could have run out. Roof top bar - superb, especially at night. Staff - excellent customer service.

Breakfast - food needs to be hotter in the serving trays. Plug in bathroom sink - water drainage very slow. Reported to reception on departure.

Staff on reception fantastic, greeting staff in rooftop bar were a bit de-meaning on arrival, staff behind bar in rooftop great.

1. The de-meaning staff on greeting in rooftop bar. 2. The fact I was not informed by reception staff on need to request room to be serviced. 3. The fact my room was not serviced despite asking a senior housekeeping staff member to have room serviced. 4. For a pretty new hotel room could be much better (damaged table in room).

Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Even great for when one needs to do some work.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, we were made to feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble, and the room was very clean and comfortable, located was spot on.

Only a couple of things, the breakfast we paid for was abit of a let down, as not much choice, it did state what time is best to get to breakfast but even so could of had some options, ran out of a few bits, eg sausages, also there was abit of a smell from the drains, but didn't affect our stay at all these issues.

Excellent value, great facilities and with a roof top terrace this was a great treat

Liked the central location, room decor and size & rooftop bar. There was a hair dryer and iron both of which we used. We had a room at the end of the corridor overlooking the train station which was remarkably quiet, we didn’t hear any noise from the station.

Room was very warm and the air conditioning switched off when you turn the lights out. We woke up so hot and dehydrated. Would have liked at least one complimentary bottle of water in the room fridge on arrival. And some biscuits on the tea/coffee tray 😊

Lovely comfortable rooms with everything we needed, great location really close to the station. We got there before check in but they were kind enough to let us check in early. We were particularly greatful to the lovely guy on reception who was really accommodating the morning we were due to check out, I had been ill the night before and he was really understanding and allowed us to check out a bit later. Thank you!

Hyatt place is in a very good location, if you get the train it's a short walk behind the station. Welcoming and helpful staff, clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Had a view over city. The bar and restaurant on the roof was cosy with a great view. Breakfast was okay. Would reccomend for a no frills stay in Leeds.

Cleanliness was good.

Almost impossible to flush toilet, poor water pressure in shower exacerbated by leaking shower hose and hand towel holder kept falling off. Didn't like decor in landings much either.

I don’t like the motion sensor light in the bathroom. It’s very inconvenient when using bathroom in the evening or night. The light is way too bright. Also breakfast needs more work. Staff were more worried about getting your plate off you than anything. Felt very rushed.

A perfect location for sightseeing in Leads and Wakefield as the hotel is so near the station (once you know the back way from/to the south entrance over the canal). The rooms were a good size with efficient, adjustable air conditioning. The bathroom towels were large and thick. We had two dinners in the extensive Azoteca restaurant on the top floor (booking recommended especially towards the end of the week). There is a large roof terrace and it is possible to just have a drink with or without a snack. The cooking was excellent, the highlights for us being the octopus, crab and ice cream. The Torrontes wine was also good.

Breakfast - VERY DISAPPOINTING 😞 Everything was cold, lovely fresh mushrooms available which you don't see often let down by being cold along with everything else. Also several items including cutlery & bread were not replenished quick enough. Tables left with crumbs on. I have stayed in much bigger hotels where this has not been an issue. I did mention the cold issue to reception. PLEASE INVEST IN SOME FAR SUPERIOR HIT PLATES TO KEEP FOOD WARM.

كانت تجربتي مع الاستقبال سيئة ومخيبة للآمال. عند وصولي، اعترضت موظفة الاستقبال على وجود ابني معي بحجة أن الحجز لشخصين بالغين، رغم أن سياسة الفندق المعروضة على Booking.com تذكر أن الأطفال مرحب بهم، ولم أطلب سريرًا إضافيًا أو أي خدمة إضافية، إذ كان من المفترض أن ينام ابني على الكنبة الموجودة ضمن الغرفة التي حجزتها. بعد مناقشة الأمر، تمت الموافقة على دخولنا، واستلمت مفتاح الغرفة وأكملت إجراءات تسجيل الدخول. لكن عند دخول الغرفة فوجئت بأنها لا تحتوي على الكنبة وأنها ليست بالمواصفات التي حجزتها ودفعت مقابلها. عدت إلى الاستقبال وطلبت الغرفة التي حجزتها، فقيل لي إنها لم تعد متوفرة. وعندما تساءلت عن سبب إعطائي غرفة أقل من حجزي، أشارت الموظفة إلى أنها كانت قد “تغاضت” عن وجود ابني، وهو ما جعلني أشعر وكأن عليّ قبول الغرفة البديلة مقابل السماح له بالإقامة معي. طلبت بهدوء إيجاد حل أو توفير بديل مناسب، لكن بدلًا من ذلك طُلب مني مغادرة الفندق وتسليم المفتاح والبحث عن فندق آخر، رغم أن الوقت كان قرابة الساعة 11 ليلًا وكان معي طفل. لدي أيضًا مراسلة مكتوبة من إدارة الفندق تؤكد مطالبتنا بالمغادرة، مع إلقاء المسؤولية على Booking.com بدلًا من معالجة ما حدث في الفندق. المشكلة بالنسبة لي لم تكن مجرد اختلاف حول سياسة الإقامة، بل طريقة التعامل، وتسليمي غرفة مختلفة عن التي حجزتها، ثم مطالبتي بالمغادرة ليلًا مع طفلي عندما طلبت الحصول على الغرفة التي دفعت مقابلها. تم تصعيد الشكوى رسميًا، وأنا حاليًا أطالب بمعالجة مناسبة وتعويض عن هذه التجربة.

Breakfast was poorly organised. Ran out of particular breakfast items each day I was there. Had to constantly ask for items to be filled up. Breakfast was barely warm. No available food on an evening at 6pm despite being advised a short while before that, that there would be. Their excuse was there was a private function on so hotel guests could not be accommodated as well . Terrible , as I had elderly parents with me who weren’t feeling well enough to go out for food but had no choice. Also the bar area was too cold to stay for too long . Other guests also mentioned this.

Very good wheelchair access, including in the bathroom. I chose the shower option and it was perfect for anyone needing to walk/roll in with no lip etc. 4 lifts meaning I never had to wait for long! Very friendly staff, I felt confident that they could either answer any questions I had, or point me towards someone that could Reception staff didn't aggressively upsell breakfast to me, which was a relief as that's something I hate! Whole place is very clean, and smells fresh without relying on heavy scents. Location is also very very good, with great transport links. Big TV! Not something I normally care about, but that was nice. Couldn't work out how to get subtitles though I was offered several floors to choose from, which I rarely see in other places. Normally the wheelchair accessible rooms are all on one floor, so having options was a nice surprise!

Door to the room was very heavy for an accessible room, but I understand that's likely a safety regulation thing Tiny bit more room between the twin beds for a wheelchair to fit between would be nice, but can live without it (I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel for something negative to say about the room haha)

The staff om the front desk were lovely, as were breakfast staff. The accessible room for my Mum was great and the decor was stylish. The roof top bar was luxurious and breakfast reasonibily priced, with plenty of choice. It was located near to Granary Wharf, with great bars and restaurants but was also only a five minute walk into the city centre.

The breakfast could be better, it is the same thing everyday no change to the menu. The hash browns were too oily, the mushrooms swimming in a lot of water.

The facilities do not get cleaned, we logged a call at the reception for our room to be cleaned they agreed and wrote it down but the cleaner never came to clean our room. When we enquired that we asked that the room be cleaned, the staff was rude and said the cleaner will come the following day. No communication was done prior to any of this, the cleaner comes every day to bring clean towels but doesn't even tidy a bit not even a single bit no clean mugs no wiping any counter no bin removal nothing just towels only.

When first arrived which was late in the night and we asked if this was the hotel the guy at the reception said not it was not a hotel. I had to insist and show the name on my reservation for him to call someone to do the check in. This was a very weird experience. The room did not look like it had fresh bed sheet, they have a policy to clean the room every three days which is a long time to spend three days using same towels..bathroom was dirty during all our stay..for this amount of money at least cleaning every second day should be applied..I am still puzzled with the answer of the receptionist the first day that sent us away saying this was not Hayatt place hotel…

The rooms are recently refurbished and generally comfortable.

The toilet lights use motion-sensors and could be hazardous for older people. The phone in the room didn't work. Housekeeping is questionable. When we checked in, the towels were haphazardly folded in the toilet. It almost didn't feel like we were staying at a hotel but a B&B. We also found remnants of the room's previous occupant on the floor. The receptionists and staff are not the most helpful or professional but are friendly. While I do feel I have to mention a receptionist was quick to come to our room to personally deliver towels when I reported to her; upon checking out, I was genuinely baffled because it was the first time hotel staff had ever asked us to go into their actual luggage store to collect our bags. I understand taking us right outside of it for ease of access, but having to shuffle through and touch strangers' bags to find our own is not a particularly pleasant experience especially at this price point.

There was nothing we didn’t like, the only thing it was a little slow at check-in, but saying that Sam who checked up in was fantastic and we even received complimentary breakfast as we were away for my birthday.

Room was nice and the hotel itself was in a great location.

The staff unfortunately. We got there at 11.30 in the morning which we had pre advised. We didn’t expect to check in however we wanted to make them aware we were there and leave our bags. The girl laughed in my partners face while continuously saying it’s a 3pm check in over and over again. We left our bags she didn’t ask us a name or anything very very bad start and very rude.

Brilliant location, some staff really friendly and helpful, others not so much. The room was clean and bright. Enjoyed the rooftop restaurant as a dining option. The price was great with the breakfast option and breakfast was good value. The only downside is not spa facilities!
