Footprints Self Catering Indoor Heated Pool and Fireplaces

Foot Prints Self Catering is a good choice for travellers looking for a comfortable, private, and convenient stay without the formality of a hotel. They cleaned our rooms daily.

There was no hot water in the mornings, they say they switched the geysers off at a certain time. We had to wait 45min as requested by staff for the water to heat up only to have Luke warm water. Having a hot shower in the mornings shouldn't have to be a request or plea. There was no privacy on our last night we stayed as there were other guest who booked together on either side of our room,and they kept walking past our patio as a short route to get to either rooms.very disturbing throughout the night.

Our stay was disappointing. The Wi-Fi did not work during our visit. I had booked what was advertised as a double-room cottage, but it turned out to be a single-bedroom cottage with an extra bed placed in the lounge next to the fireplace and TV. The single bed had only a very thin duvet, with no additional blanket or electric blanket, making it uncomfortable in the middle of July. The walls had dirty spots. The fitted sheet on the queen-size bed was torn. The property has a lot of potential, but it would benefit from some much-needed maintenance and attention to detail. With a bit of TLC, it could provide a much better guest experience.

I loved the Braai facilities and the pools. The room is quite comfortable, and the fireplace is a great feature. The staff are kind and helpful.

The wifi signal was poor the whole stay. Had to make sure we had data.

We were attending a wedding at Toadbury Hall which is right next door to Footprints. Karen very kindly allowed us to check in early so that we could get ready for the wedding which was great. Ester is very friendly and met us at the gate and showed us to our room. They very kindly kept the geysers on so we could shower before heading to the wedding. The room is well equipped with tea, coffee and rusks.

The room was freezing cold. Although there is a fireplace, we were not given any wood to light the fire and there is no other way of warming the room up. It was 11 degrees in Johannesburg and we were freezing. I would suggest putting a heater in the room. The bathroom was not clean and there was hair in the plug in the shower. We had some very rowdy people staying in the room next door who played their music very loudly and kept shouting. After partying until late on Saturday, they got going again at 6 on Sunday morning which was not ideal as the rooms are anything but soundproof.

Everything. The room was super spacious , pictures dont do this place justice . Esther was the sweetest she waited for us to arrive to show us around. The owner Karen is amazing a very super sweet lady ,met her on day 2 with her beautiful grandchild Taylor 🥰and daughter. Such a lovely family we ddnt even feel like we did a shot left we felt at home I wish I booked for more days honestly

My fiancee and i had an amazing time there. The venue is entire beautiful and the host is amazing, she accommodated us beyond our expectation. The area is tranquil and quiet, Kagiso and I loved this. We also enjoyed time at the pool in the morning and we saw the heated pool.

The last board to the venue was torn and we got lost. We got help from people who were walking to the next gate. The road is narrow so making a u-turn was difficult.

The entrance and patio to our apartment was a bit cramped due the flowers, however the flowers were beautiful so hard to knock that.

The fan in the 2 bedroom unit we occupied, couldn't reach the bed. It was very hot in both bedrooms. Need aircons.

A pleasant stay in a tranquil setting. The pool and indoor pool were very enjoyable. The staff ensured that everything around the pool areas were clean & tidy. Ester was always available whenever we had a request and attended to it promptly. The sauna is a great plus and the extra cost to have used it, very fair.

No need to mention any aspect. These were addressed with the owner directly.

I was not comfortable with the layout of the apartment, as the main bedroom was too close to the other room. We had to pass through the other room in order to access the bathroom and the kitchen, and the bedroom door could not close properly. The shower floor was very slippery, which posed a safety concern. In addition, the apartment was not thoroughly cleaned upon our arrival. Some of the dishes were dirty, and both the stove and the stove kettle were unclean. There was also no electric kettle provided to boil water. To be honest, I was very disappointed, especially considering the amount of money we paid for the accommodation.

The venue is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, clean and peaceful the staff very welcoming and friendly. The heated swimming pool was just amazing.

There was no sink in the unit,which made it a bit difficult when braaing or preparing anything in the kitchenette,hot pool was not very hot considering it's still winter

We enjoyed the fireplace, it made our room feel cozy. Ester was very helpful and happy to assist. The location was close to everything we needed during our stay. We will definitely consider it next time.

Ester was an absolute darling,made sure our stay was as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Place was perfect for a nice quiet and relaxing weekend away from everything. Even though there were other people staying there it still felt so private. Fire place was an absolute dream for the cold nights and early mornings.

The heated pool was a little bit dirty. The walk way to the room was a work out especially if you have to do a few trips back and forth to get your luggage and groceries from your vehicle.

We had a great stay at Footprints! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. Footprints is absolutely a must "stay over" gem with all the nice facillities. The fireplace, jaccuzi and heated pool was super for the cold weather. Karen was extremely accommodating and always ready to assist with anything. We also want to thank Ester for being so friendly and helpful.

Everything was proper, we had a problem with a Jacuzzi but it was not a train smash we still had the best time. Ester is the sweetest...thumbs up to her ♥️

There’s nothing I didn’t like.

This place is in the vicinity of attractions such as the Lion and Rhino Park & the nearest Mall is 25 Min away. There is a small shopping centre close by. The main road is tarred. The rooms are comfortable & the pools are both well-maintained. Beautiful surroundings & hospitable staff made this a magical getaway for the whole family. Thanks Karen

Everything, neat,quiet to unwind, friendly staff ,Karen is an amazing host making sure we happy ,good communication skills which is key , solar when there's loadshedding. It was just an amazing experience, will go back again with my kids

We have to give Karen a perfect score! We attended a wedding in the area, and were so happy to stay over. We received a warm, friendly welcome from Karen and her staff. The place is beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated. We stayed in the Beach Room, and what a treat! It is so spacious, with a nice kitchenette and even an extra bedroom if you have children. You can relax in front of your room, or in the beautiful gardens. Whenever you're in that area, please do yourself a favor and stay over at Footprints!

That I didn't stay longer!

Perfect overnight stay for our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids). Karen and her staff were extremely accommodating when we requested a late check-in. Isobel and William were lovely and provided clear instructions on the facilities. Karen was an attentive host and kept in contact with us to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds and well-equipped. And as a bonus we had access to both an outdoor cold water swimming pool and indoor heated pool.

We arrived after dark and would have preferred more lights leading up to the accommodation as it felt a bit scary.

Karen, the host, was incredibly accommodating. Made so much effort to ensure our kids were entertained. The space was relaxing and clean. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I felt so at peace.
