The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and had a magnificently comfortable bed. The location was peaceful and quiet.

The curtain didn't close properly. Stains on the carpet. No hair dryer.

It was a pleasant surprise. My family loved the room we stayed at. Staff was thee friendliest from check in until we left.

It is dirty, as if no one tajes care of it, there was dust all over in our room and at the restaurant as well

The place looked nice just it's winter so the green landscape was not there. But regardless the place is beautiful and the staff kind and very helpful. They went out of their way to make my stay smooth and satisfying. Will go there again with the whole family. Was even given advice and helped with my extra activities.

The first day the room was not clean to my stand

Comfortable bed, private, dam view, blankets and aircon available for the cold times, staff is very friendly and helpful. Wine and gin tasting, Very laid back and quiet stay away as we love it!

Overhead shower not draining quicker.. showering wasnt too nice and water wasn't too warm, you can definitely improve on this.

I stayed at another venue nearby and decided it was time for a change. What a pleasnt experience it was! The breakfast and dinner were excellent. The museum display is amazing. I loved the peaceful surrounds after a hectic day's work. Great to look out onto the dams. Very clean facilities and super friendly staff. Thank you!

The acccess road ... one needs an off-road vehicle or a bakkie, at least.

Good aircon and electric Blanket, comfortable bed and pillows, linen and duvet.

1. The extra blankets and throw cushions were dirty, and the carpets appeared old and unclean. The clothing cabinet was stained and dirty, making it unusable. 2. The access road to the property is a dirt road in very poor condition, making it difficult to navigate with a normal vehicle. Directions to the lodge at night were also challenging due to limited lighting and unclear signage. 3. Upon arrival at reception, we were informed that we had been “upgraded.” The employee had to get into our vehicle to guide us to the room because of the poor road conditions. At the first room, there were empty beer bottles left outside on the table from previous guests. The room only had a shower, despite us specifically booking a room advertised with both a corner bath and shower, as well as additional stagger beds. Since we had been camping for a week, having a bath was important to us. After I raised the issue, we were told we would be upgraded again, although we were warned that the next room would be noisy. The employee then took us to another room but did not have the keys available. This room was located next to guests having a loud braai and party. While this room did include a bath, it was still not the corner bath as advertised in the booking. Being tired after a long trip, we accepted the room. 4. To access the WiFi, guests were required to register using personal details, which did not feel secure. As a result, we chose not to use the WiFi service. 5. The party next door was extremely loud, with music and noise preventing us from enjoying an early evening rest. Around 10:15 pm, I sent a message to reception, and fortunately the music was stopped shortly afterwards and the guests became quieter. 6. Overall, the lodge gives the impression of being neglected. The staff appeared to be trying their best, but unfortunately the property no longer reflects the standard and atmosphere of what was once a truly magical lodge experience.

Road to the establishment was awful. Just needed to know in advance. The report needs serious maintenance of the small things. Billedcas a bit luxurious but more family and fun oriented.

Breakfast was enjoyable, but the staff’s warmth and professionalism truly stood out. Their service was of the highest standard in my view. The location added to the perfection of the overall experience. In short: Great food, perfect setting, and staff whose hospitality made it unforgettable.

We had a wonderful stay. The young man who checked us in at reception was excellent, very welcoming and made sure the room was up to standard although unfortunately I did not get his name. There was also a gentleman named Gift, who I’m not sure if he is a curator or part of the restaurant team, his knowledge of fly fishing was impressive and he took us through the journeys captured there with such passion that we were completely engaged in his stories. Dinner was mouthwatering. I had the rump steak and my husband had the ribs, both cooked exactly as requested. Breakfast was also lovely, fresh and enjoyable. Once again, Gift shared insightful information about how everything there is organic, and the waiter who served us breakfast provided great service. Overall, it was an excellent experience with warm hospitality, knowledgeable staff and delicious food.

What we did not particularly enjoy was that the menu felt quite limited, as we had hoped for a wider selection, especially on seafood options. I was also not sure whether the lady at reception was shy but I could barely hear what she was saying most of the time. Perhaps a bit of refresher training in guest interaction and communication could help. That said it was not a major issue and did not significantly affect our overall stay.

The location was great. The staff was absolutely friendly and accommodating.

The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. It’s the perfect getaway from the city — we’ll definitely be back!

A black field mouse got into the unit the day we were leaving, I mentioned it to the Manager, he said, he will look into it.

The food at the @thepace2b on site restaurant was good and generous portions. Especially the healthy breakfast with Muslie. The bed was very comfortable and the surroundings were peaceful.

The bathroom was basic with a hand-held shower hose and bath, but reasonable for this price range. The road to the accommodation was a rough country road, though the signage was good.

Had to wait 20 minutes outside unit for the staff to bring my key. Aircon noisy and then stopped working in the middle of the night.

The staff was very friendly, Winnie's warm welcomed us for breakfast and Clive offered to drive me to go and buy meds when I had a headache. They upgraded our room to 2 bedrooms for the family. Nice place, enjoyed the breeze around the pond. Given the opportunity I would book again.

The toilet was leaking but got fixed quickly. We had a frog visiting us at night, and came underneath the door. But we managed to show him the way to the pond.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade bread. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The television needs an upgrade. It made a funny sound while it was on, you can hardly hear what's playing. The kitchen needs some sort of water supply or sink, as I had to rinse my dishes in the bathroom. The toilet felt loose, it makes a loud noise when sitting on it.

Our fifth stay here, it was great as usual, spacius rooms, well equipped kitchen, dam view, good breakfast, good supper. Great hospitality as usual from Winnie and the staff. We will return again.

The Wifi remains a serious problem, it just disconnects immediately after you connect, a real issue if you are trying to work from there. Needs to be sorted asap.

The dam has some nice fish and Lanceria Country Estate is our favorite quick weekend break from Gauteng. Thank you Felix and staff for all the extra effort to accommodate us

I loved the Countryside feel of the estate, the warmth of the staff, and the location of the place in relation to other points of attraction in the area.

I did not like the aesthetics of the room, unappealing to the eye. The bathroom is too old and dull, The bed was not that comfortable as it is sagging on one side.

The staff are extremely accommodating and very pleasant. Service was great and the food was awesome 👌
