As soon as we walked into the reception area, it gave off the vibe of a second-class hotel. Unfortunately, that first impression set the tone for most of our stay. We booked a club room with a jacuzzi, which turned out to be highly disappointing. The layout was very tight and long. Worse, the jacuzzi itself was not properly cleaned, and the switches didn't work, meaning we had to call staff every time we wanted to turn it on. The bathroom plumbing was a mess—initially, the bathtub water wouldn't run at all, and once they fixed that, the hot water stopped working. To top it off, our mini-fridge was broken. They replaced it, but the second one didn't work either. The hotel amenities were equally depressing. The pool area felt completely desolated, with no guests or staff in sight. To even reach the pool, you have to walk through a large, dark, smelly banquet hall. After seeing the pool area and dealing with the room issues, we complained about our stay. It was at this point that the manager stepped in and offered us an upgrade. The new room the Luxury Suite was actually beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. We booked a half-board package, and when we went down for dinner, we found ourselves completely alone in the restaurant. They handed us a very basic menu to choose from (though it was unlimited). However, because of all the troubles we had experienced earlier, the chef was incredibly kind and allowed us to order extra dishes completely outside the fixed menu and the food was delicious. Breakfast was excellent and the service too. While the staff became very accommodating and the food turned out great after our complaints, the initial experience and the overall state of the hotel were just not worth it.

Beds are too soft and you sank in the middle. Pool area is very sad. Jacuzzi can be better with independent control from guests.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. It quickly became a true comfort zone for my family and, especially, for my son. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. The food was delicious, but what really made our stay special was the incredible staff. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Their warmth made us feel like we were staying with family rather than at a hotel.

The only thing I would suggest improving is the attention to some small details. For a hotel of this category, I think there should be a little more care with the towels. We were three people, but on several occasions we only had two towels. It would also have been helpful to have two rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom, as we often ran out. These are small details, but taking care of them would make an already wonderful experience even better. Overall, we are very grateful for the wonderful memories we made here and would absolutely love to come back!

Amazing stay, totally exceeded our expectations!! Very delicious breakfast and dinner buffet, spacious and comfortable room with jacuzzi (🥰so relaxing after hectic days of sightseeing and great service by each and every staff. The staff is attentive and quick.... Everytime there are different staff workers, but they are superfine and well trained to their given roles .. I've been to many of the goan hotels, this is the only place where I've been repeatedly coming for a fourth time... Anytime I go there's nothing changed about them..the booking process overall anything you need they are on the heels to help you... ofcourse i love the place but staff is one more reason I'm comfortably often being here..

food is amazing ..just a bit of a suggestion i would like to give ...hotel should keep the food prices minimal and decent.. I've ordered a tea and bread butter.. which where three bread and three mini packs of butter along with 3 cookies..which cost mi approx 421/- inr which is alot for a tea and a bread butter.. i don't know how it works ...Food charges according to quantity i can understand...but we don't live in foreign country or this is something celebrity restaurant... I've been to many celebrity restaurant which caused me 3000 for decent 5 items, that you guys charge for a tea this much.. nothing bad about it.. I'm still gona visit Grand Mercure anytime any day...but i hope you understand the food charges should be atleast decent according to the quantity you give...

Properly is amazing. Great hospitality, very good staff. Property has a very good location all the spots are near by from the hotel. Cleanliness 10/10.

The property needs some maintenance like pool area the finishing was quite worn out and the privacy glass needs to be raised for guests to have some privacy. The bathroom tap was leaking and did not get fixed. The beer promotion was explained but never got delivered and no compensation was allocated.

Breakfast spread was nice and had good variety all over, Location was good according to us, away from noise. 10 minutes to candolim beach, 20 minutes to calanguate. Prakriti, Alysha from the front desk, anshul from the house keeping plus the whole staff were really sweet and very helpful.

Privacy with the in room jacuzzi or plunge pool could have been better, other pools and jacuzzi were easily visible from our room.

Stay is going absolutely amazing hence we booked again. The reception team is really helpful as they upgraded our room to premier category as complimentary. Special mention to Prakriti & Debeswar for all the help.

The one and only treadmill did not work...the staff were not meant for a five star property...and I blame the management .

When we came out of our room...onion packet...dirty tissues and not cleaned for a long time..the worst was Neeraj..the finance manager on duty who did not want to come out and talk to us about the issues we faced.

The staff, the food and the excellent services. Special mention to Vineet who was very friendly and loving towards our daughter. He went extra mile to take care of her like bringing non spicy food or straws or candy. Shout out to Labdhi who made great Jain food for my parents and offered us complimentary desserts as well.

The locationbis a bit disappointing because one has to climb a very steep hill to reach here. If you are having a self drive car with a manual transmission you need to have experience driving in hills as reaching resort does require some skills.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Grand Mercure. The location is super nice and since we visited during Monsoon, we felt pure hill station vibe from our room window. The room was clean, spacious and had a very pretty decor. The breakfast had a nice spread. The staff was really nice (Prakriti, Deepak, Sheeban and Sumant).

The rooms are very big and spacious

The photos are quite missleading. The property is small, nothing is actually grand about it. Only the rooms were spaciois. There is smell of termite across the hotel. The pool is very small. The rooms dont feel clean

The location was excellent The rooms were nice and spacious. The in room dining is extremely reasonable and tasty. The chef also made accommodations separate from the menu which was highly appreciated. The staff is helpful and hands on.The spa experience was also great and very well priced. Would highly recommend.

We had a balcony room, and there was no cover. Due to the heavy rains in Goa, the balcony and jacuzzi were completely unusable which defeated the point of getting the room and also the views from it since we couldn't really sit outside to enjoy them. A particular staff member named Prakriti also tried to hoodwink me by taking my phone and filling out a review herself. I would've been perfectly happy providing a detailed positive review, since the stay was actually quite good and fun, however the slyness on part of the employee, to take my phone and upload a review on my behalf without consulting me on it, left a bad taste in my mouth. The staff should be trained to remind customers to put in a detailed review along with name mentions, instead of being sly about it and uploading reviews without the consultation of the customer.
