Relax Inn

Run by a Father and Daughter right in the middle of the Pekoe trail stage 16. Really quiet and relaxing stay. Very comfortable bed with a really good service from Thathsarani. Plenty of birds in the morning for anyone interested in bird watching. Would definitely come back. This is a stay for pure nature lovers not not for anyone who wants to stay close to the Ella city.

Eine sehr herzliche Unterkunft in schöner, ruhiger Lage mitten in den Bergen. Das neu eingerichtete Restaurant ist besonders schön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Unterkunft selbst ist nicht ganz so modern, aber in Ordnung, sauber und hatte alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die unglaublich liebe Familie, die die Unterkunft führt. Vater und Tochter waren ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Auf Wünsche wurde sofort eingegangen. Die Kommunikation über WhatsApp war ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Das Frühstück konnte man am Vorabend aus verschiedenen westlichen und einheimischen Gerichten auswählen. Der Vater konnte uns zu einem fairen Preis mit dem Tuk Tuk nach Ella fahren. Die Lage ist ideal für Wanderungen und gleichzeitig ist Ella schnell erreichbar. Insgesamt ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und vor allem eine Unterkunft, in der man sich durch die herzliche Gastfreundschaft sofort willkommen fühlt.

Really lovely Homestay, run by a super kind family. In a peaceful location just outside of Ella town. They can run you into all the main spots with their TukTuk. The room is modern and spotless. Can’t recommend enough!

Liebevolle und sehr herzliche Familie mit einer wunderschönen und sehr sauberen Unterkunft. Der Blick aus dem Zimmer nach draußen ist atemberaubend, das Frühstück sehr sehr gut und es bietet einem genau den ruhigen Ort, den man neben der lauten und lebendigen Stadt Ella braucht. Tuktukpreise in Ella sind sehr hoch und pick me funktioniert nicht. Umso besser, dass der Vater der Familie einen überall hinfährt für geringere Preise als in Ella und man sich das lästige verhandeln spart. Die Tochter ist super lieb, die Kommunikation per WhatsApp ist super und sie ist eine exzellente Bäckerin. Wir checkten am Valentinstag ein und wurden von einem Blumenstrauß aus roten Rosen Muffins begrüßt, die unglaublich lecker waren. Auch die Rosen rund um die Unterkunft duften herrlich. Das Zimmer war mit liebevollen Details ausgestattet, sehr schön und wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Geht man von der Unterkunft ein paar Meter weiter entlang der Straße gelangt man direkt zu Teeplantagen, schöner authentischer Landschaft, einen Pfauenpärchen und man kann auch einen Wasserfall durch die Blätter sehen. Auch die 9arche Bridge kann man von dort aus der Ferne sehen und wie der Zug durchs Tal fährt. Ein super Ort, um eine Wanderung zu starten. Zudem kann man fussläufig zu Little Adams Peak und auch zur 9arche Bridge laufen. In Ella können wir One Love und Hikingbar mit ihrer Live Music empfehlen. Zudem essen bei dem Curry Restaurant an der Zugunterführungsbrücke schräg gegenüber der Hikingbar.

Úžasné niečo. Po 2 týždňoch behania na SriLanke po rôzných lokalitách sme potrebovali vyslovene vypnúť a nenaháňať sa a toto ubytovanie nám to dokonale poskytlo. Každé ráno sme sa tu zobúdzali s rôznými čarovnými zvukmi vtákov a zveratiek. Pri skvelých raňajkách, z ktorých si mimochodom viete vybrať niekoľko vela druhov lokálných a západných variant, vrátane ovocia, fresh džúsu, sme pozorovali ako sa po stromoch naháňajú veveričky, alebo ako sedí páv a prelietavajú rôzne zelené vtáčiky. Izby majú skvelé velké okná od zeme až po strop a máte dokonalý krásny výhľad na prírodu bez rušivých elementov. Samozrejme všetko čisté a velmi oceňujeme kvalitné návleky na postel a PERINU, ktorú sme nikde na srilanke na ubytovaniach nemali :). Využili sme aj ich laundry service a objednali sme si aj večeru - mali sme asi najlepšie kari na Srilanke! Majiteľ a jeho dcéra sú od srdca velmi milý, extrémne slušný a priateľský ľudia. Áno áno, na SriLanke sú všetci taký, ale títo boli naozaj najviac. Odporúčam všetkými desiatimi a každý kto má počas cestovania trochu viac času, dajte si tu o 1-2noci navyše a užite si prítomny okamih v tomto krásnom ubytovaní a prírode.

L’hôtel est en pleine nature ! Très propre, le petit déjeuner et l’accueil étaient parfait !

Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt bei der Familie. Die Unterkunft ist 10min mit dem Auto/Tuktuk von Ella entfernt, was sehr gut war, weil man hier seine Ruhe hatte. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und geräumig und man konnte eine schöne Aussicht auf Teeplantagen und Reisfelder vom Balkon aus genießen. Es gab zusätzlich die Möglichkeit Abendessen in der Unterkunft zu bestellen. Wir hatten hier den besten Rice and Curry in Sri Lanka. Wir durften netterweise am Tag der Abreise etwas länger in der Unterkunft bleiben und konnten auch problemlos den Tuktuk Service der Unterkunft nutzen. Die Familie ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen :)

The hostess and her father were extremely nice and helpful from the get go, the room was amazing (so was the view) and the food was excellent. They even helped us when we had some problems with our rental tuktuk that needed to be replaced, and are overall extremely warm and welcoming people! Location just outside the busy centre of Ella is also quite nice, for those looking for a bit of peace & quiet. 10/10 would recommend!

Having to leave.

Unser Aufenthalt im Relax Inn in Ella hätte nicht besser sein können. Thathsarani und ihr Vater waren äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sie organisieren auch viele Ausflüge. Die Zimmer sind ganz neu und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.Der Balkon ist sehr groß und man blickt direkt in den Wald. Sehr ruhig. Man kann zu Fuß ins Zentrum gehen oder nimmt ein Tuk Tuk. Das Frühstück ist unbeschreiblich gut. Wir haben jeden Moment genossen und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

The view is incredible and so nice to see every morning! The staff are also super nice and can't do enough for you, they will even deliver some cold beers to your room on request.

The roads are still being constructed and to actually get to the apartment, its a very unsteady walk and some small and steeps stairs. We tried to get down their in a taxi and it isn't very clearly sign post, so be really careful. Unfortunately on our check out day, all the water in our room started to run brown?

A bit hard to find

Lovely hosts, warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Wished we could have stayed longer.

The room is very nice, with a great view of the jungle. We had dinner there and the food was very good. The breakfast is consistent and good.

The accommodation is isolated, very far from the city, the owners ask a lot of money to take you to the city. We were disappointed with the city tour offered for 5800 Rupees but it was not at all up to the asking price. We were disappointed by how much they charge for the tuk-tuk.

Road down to the accommodation is narrow and a bit bumpy. If you have a rented car, you may want to leave it at the main road and take a tuktuk down.

Relax Inn is an excellent hotel for anyone visiting Ella. Located in a serene and peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle. The room was impeccably clean and well-organized, with a comfortable bed. The food was absolutely delicious and served promptly. The host, Thathsarani, was exceptionally attentive and welcoming. They also provide a convenient tuk-tuk service, which made getting around much easier. We stayed there for five nights, and it was truly a pleasant experience. I highly recommend Relax Inn to anyone planning a trip to Ella.

Very clean with fantastic location and view , and very friendly and helpful staff

We really enjoyed our stay at the Relax Inn. The family is very nice and caring. The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Good shower! The view from the balcony was amazing! We ordered breakfast and dinner and got delicous homemade food. They offer various breakfast options! :) It's the perfect place if you don't want to stay at crowded Ella City. The family offer a Tuktuk Service and they picked us up in the evening at Ella or took us to the hiking places. The communciation was very easy :)

Everything was fine!

I arrived very late in the night and left very early in the morning so didn’t get to see the views from the balcony but the room as was very clean , had even a mini bar and the lady who attended me was sooo lovely.

This was a highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. Spacious, clean and modern rooms with amazing views of the jungle. And most of all the owners went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They offer a menu of home-cooked delicious meals and very reasonable prices, there is a stocked minibar in the room and if you need a taxi/laundry, the owners are happy to arrange that for you. Can’t say enough good things about this accommodation, we’ll definitely be back in the future.

Lovely property and owners. Loved the room, balcony, the3 views. Kind owners, did everythign to make our stay confortable. Highly recomended. It might be a little bit off the centre but close to the famous bridge and it is not really a problem to wallk or take a tuk tuk for a short ride.

Way to Ella „City“ a little bit longer, with tuk tuk no problem!

It’s a bit far out of town but if you have a tuktuk, this is a great location. Only a few minutes of a drive to town but far enough out that you have peace and quiet. Not far from the 9 arch bridge or the entrance to the little adams hike. You can walk there from the hotel, just downtown Ella is too far. Staff was great. The owner is super friendly and positive. The room & bathroom were also super clean and nice :) If you have a tuk tuk or don’t mind hiring one to go to town, definitely a great place to stay

no AC, but we knew that going in. We opened up the windows and put the fan on to get a nice breeze though. Didn't have an issue with mosquitoes either.

Location is a bit remote

We felt very welcome the second we arrived. The owners are very kind and helped with everything like scooter renting, laundry and shuttle to the train. Also the breakfast is very good!

A beautiful place and the owners are very helpful. Super lovely room. They helped us get our tuk tuk started and gave us recommendations. Wonderful view and worth going a little outside of main street as it is a lot more peaceful

the family that owns the place was so kind! they helped us get the scooters, helped us with laundry etc. the rooms were beautiful, spacious, with an amazing view. the place is located a bit outside of Ella in a very calm neighbourhood - it was perfect for us. highly recommended!

The property was in a beautiful location overlooking tea plantation and countryside so much wildlife. Owners do try and help.

It was out of the way so had to get tuk tuk if needed to get into city and road was a dirt track. The owners did not speak very good English so quite hard to explain things that weren’t quite right. Food at hotel not to our taste and they had a lot of rain so we had a leak in our ceiling and they just gave us a mat for the floor. Also 2 out of 3 days no hot water for shower. I should have checked regarding payment as only take cash.

Very hospitable family guest house. Large room was clean, bed comfortable, balcony with garden views across the tea plantations ,& waterfall nearby. Peaceful location away from Ella but not fsr from sites of interedt. Breakfast was on both days varied & delicious fresh Sri Lankan dishes, home grown fruit & juices. Very helpful with luggage & any requests. Parking available. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Their place is really a luxury place. We got more than what we paid for. But A vehicle or taxi is required to reach the place from Ella city.Their customer service is excellent and very friendly. You can get luxury experience with superb mountain view. So we can be highly recommended. ❤️

we got free transport to go to their relax inn.It can be reached in 15 minutes from ella town.fantastic place in silent environment .The room and bathroom was big and very clean.nice and friendly staff. It's very close to go to the nine arch bridge.we can go to the it in short time.there are small road to go to it.I highly recommend 😍.
