Riad Lyla

Mooie, rustige riad in de drukke medina. Uiterst aardig en behulpzaam personeel en een prima ontbijt. Het kleine zwembad was heerlijk verfrissend en de planten en vogels maken het tot een klein paradijsje.

Onze kamer was mooi ingericht en het enige kleine minpuntje is dat het op sommige plekken wat stoffig aanvoelde/rook maar dat kan wellicht ook niet anders in zo'n stad. Wij hebben dit uiteindelijk niet als storend ervaren.

Proximite avec le souk , personnel très agréable, très gentil. Chambre faite chaque jour .

The Riad was like walking into a space set back in time with beautifully curated objects that made the space feel extravagant, film like and homely. If you are interested in staying in a place that has a vintage curated feel to it...this is it!! The courtyard was where we spent most of our time when we weren't out discovering the city. It's a peaceful place to chill after a continental breakfast. The Moroccan pancakes are so good!! We often sat by the pool, drinking fresh coffee or mint tea (free upon request or often offered by our hosts) A good place to read and cool off in the pool - (deep end around 180cm) We spent some relaxing evenings playing card games in the courtyard or cooled off in the pool after a long day in the sun. Our host's were very attentive and very engaging, made us feel welcome and at home. My room directly overlooked the pool - Superior double - Such a beautiful dark, cosy room with vaulted, hand painted ceiling. The room stayed cool during the nights without the air con needing to be on. A very comfortable kingsize metal four poster bed. Good sized bathroom with walk in shower (quite modern compared to the rest of the room) I loved waking up and opening the curtains...with the view to the courtyard...i often sat by the window with my book before heading down to breakfast. The Riad is a perfect location to the souks, Jemaa el-Fnaa square and other attractions within the walled city. We had the best time staying here, mainly because we were made to feel at home. The Riad is a short walk to the entrance of the walled city. Which is situated on Avenue Fatima Zohra. This made getting taxi's and booked rides easier to find as we always just said to meet by the big gate, that turns into Rue Sidi El Yamani. We would Definitely book to stay again.

We went early September and the air was very dry and dusty. (no rain and most days reaching 40degrees. I think the tables surrounding the pool in the open air courtyard often became quite dusty from the city. I found myself needing to wipe a table with tissues before being able to use it for card games etc. However all tables for breakfast were freshly laid with clean table cloths and tableware.

The best road i have ever visited in Marroco. And the staff was very helpful - we really like them

Très beaux espaces communs, le patio avec piscine est un endroit très charmant et apaisant. Le personnel est au petits soin et très sympathique. Les chambres à l étage sont magnifiques.

Nous avions initialement une chambre au rez de chaussée qui sentait un peu le renfermé et avec une salle de bain un peu vieillotte. Mais les chambres à l’étage sont vraiment superbes.

The Riad staff were of limited assistance when we arrived and a local was insisting on an exorbitant tip for helping carry bags

A beautiful riad in the heart of the souks, perfect for browsing, shopping, haggling, visiting places like Jemaa al fna Square and mosques. You can shop all day and party all evening on one of the many local rooftop bars/restaurants. The staff were all so polite and happy to serve. Breakfast was plentiful and always something to suit everyone's differing tastes. The plunge pool was perfect to cool off after a day exploring too.

Our pre booked taxi struggled to find this place, or at least know which one he was going to (as apparently there is more than one Riad Lyla) and no one picked up the phone despite several phone calls and messages. I will add a photo of where to ask to be dropped off to help others in the future. You need to walk the last 3 minutes as cars are not permitted in the souks area. But it is very straight forward and adds to the charm of the place

Les espaces communs sont magnifiques, la chambre à l’étage aussi. Nous avions une chambre au rez de chaussée qui était un peu plus vieillotte mais la chambre à l’étage était vraiment grande et belle. Le personnel de l’hôtel est vraiment adorable et nous ont beaucoup aidé. L’emplacement est parfait, au cœur de la médina mais dans une ruelle calme - et l’hôtel est très calme, on y dort très bien.

Très beau Riad très bien situé à moins de 10 min de la place Jamaa el fna et des souks. Il est simple à trouver et est magnifique avec ses arbres dans la cour et sa piscine. Il est très verdoyant et sa fraîcheur est vraiment agréable lorsqu'il fait très chaud. Il y a un rooftop pour profiter en fin d'après midi. L'équipe est adorable et aux petits soins, toujours disponible si besoin, même la nuit. Le petit déjeuner, servi entre 8h et 11h est ultra copieux et délicieux. La chambre est grande, climatisée, un peu sombre mais c'est plutôt commun dans les riad. La salle de bain est tout équipée et tout est nettoyé quotidiennement. Le rapport qualité prix est vraiment très bon. Je recommande vivement d'y rester si vous séjourner à Marrakech

Magnífico riad en plena medina de Marrakech. Su ubicación permite ir caminando en unos 10 minutos a todos los lugares que se encuentran dentro de la Medina. Los dos chicos al frente del Riad son un encanto. Siempre sonriendo y poniendo a tu disposición todas las facilidades que sean posibles. El desayuno es bastante completo con café, tostadas y mermelada, bollería, zumo natural de naranja y yogurt. Un sitio muy silencioso y agradable al que llegar tras un día de turismo o al que volver para escapar del calor de Marrakech. Muy recomendable.

Solo por sugerir: el aire acondicionado de la habitación sonaba algo fuerte y la señal wifi no es muy buena. Nada que no impida querer volver a este Riad.

I can’t say enough how great the staff is. It is like staying with family. Everyone there is so nice, they go above and beyond to help you. This was our first experience in Marrakesh and we were a little hesitant at first to stay in the Medina. Now after our stay at Riad Lyla I would definitely recommend staying here and within the Medina. Breakfast was excellent and was different each day . The staff was always smiling and helpful and just made the experience in Morocco more memorable. Because of our stay we fell in love with Morocco

The location is great in a rather quiet part of the old Medina but close to the centre - Jemaa el-Fnaa. The Riad pool is great for relaxation, and the garden remains relatively cool despite hot temperatures (our stay was in July). The staff is very friendly. When they realized that my son and I wanted to watch the football World Cup, they brought a TV to the pool so we could watch the game while chilling in the water:-)

La struttura è molto graziosa, nel cuore della medina, la stanza era estremamente ampia spaziosa ben arredata. Una nota di immenso merito va ai ragazzi che gestiscono il Riad che sono stati davvero gentili premurosi e cordiali nei nostri confronti. Ottima la piscina ed il portico che ci hanno offerto un momento di fresco dal grande caldo estivo. Il posto ha margine di miglioramento ma nel complesso è davvero buono e confortevole, lo consiglio!

c'è un po da migliorare lo spazio comune e la cura ma i ragazzi sono bravi e sono sicura che lo renderanno sempre più di alto livello!

Exceptional from start to finish, this was the best hotel--Riad or otherwise--that we stayed in over 2 weeks. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning and the rooms and common areas are furnished with antiques. The breakfast was our favorite by far, with made-to-order eggs and a spiced coffee I will try to replicate at home. The many patios and rooftop areas gave us privacy while being able to enjoy a view. The staff was unbelievably kind and accommodating, I am still so thankful for their help. The pool was also very refreshing and surprisingly deep!

Die Lage des Riad am Rande der Medina ist perfekt. Einfach zu erreichen und schnell an den touristisch interessanten Orten. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, sehr gut eingerichtet, sauber und ruhig. Le personnels est merveilleux , disponible, attentionné, à l’écoute, d’une gentillesse incroyable , un grand merci à Ayoub, Abdel et Mustapha. Concernant le Riad un vrai havre de paix dépaysant dans l’effervescence des souks. Très bien situé pour parcourir Marrakech. Nos transferts on été organisés par le Riad et nous avions également réservé le premier repas du soir couscous délicieux et y avait de quoi manger !!! Concernant le petit déjeuner la aussi aucune fausse note frais copieux et très bon…. Omelette, fruits, yaourt, pain frais… une grand merci aux femmes de ménage aussi qui tienne le Riad parfaitement propre et qui tout les jours s’applique à refaire notre chambre. Die Unterkunft war einverstanden, den Aufenthalt kostenfrei zu stornieren. (Bestätigung über booking) Geld wurde dennoch abgebucht und ich bekomme es nicht zurück. Meldet sich niemand mehr. Im gebuchten Zimmer waren Ameisen, die Polstermöbel und das Bett hatten Schmutzflecken. Der Boden war dreckig. Auf den Bildern in booking sieht das Zimmer groß aus, es gab nicht mal die Möglichkeit die Koffer abzustellen um sie zu öffnen.

El Riad es muy lindo. Es un pedazo de paz en una ciudad caótica por momentos, un descanso. El desayuno una delicia, abundante y variado. El personal, Ayub, se esforzó en todo momento por hacernos sentir cómodos y a gusto. Una gran satisfacción quedarnos allí! :)

Если вы едете в Марокко и не останавливаетесь в риаде - вы не едете в Марокко! Ощущение риада не передать словами, это нужно испытать. И получить этот опыт в риаде Lyla - это одно из лучших решений! Расположение идеальное: внутри медины, но в отдалении от основного базара. Близко к выходу и рядом потрясающие заведения. Но мы зашли не с той стороны и пришлось полчаса идти по всей медине до риада с чемоданами. И когда открывается дверь и ты входишь в этот тихий оазис, ты будто попадаешь в рай! Оно все действительно такое, как на фото. И в бассейне действительно можно плавать. Особенно после 5 часов в дороге на автобусе и пешком это будет спасением. Номера это комнаты риада, они все разные, мне кажется. И устроены именно как комнаты. Но там все есть, ванная комната отличная и современная, кровать идеальная. А вокруг старинные предметы. Завтрак у бассейна был тоже чудесным. Ты среди растений и птиц, почти всегда один, во время нашего проживания мы почти не встречались с другими гостями. Завтрак делают там же, это не разнообразие буфета, конечно. Но отличный кофе, фреш, яйца и что-то из выпечки. Мы были сыты и довольны. Этот риад – это единственное, ради чего хочется вернуться в Мараккеш. Так мы успели посмотреть в городе все важное и устать от медины. Но это место – просто чудо

Единственное, звукоизоляции внутри риада почти нет. Это достаточно открытое пространство, окна старинные, у дверей декор с отверстиями. Так что, учитывайте это. Хотя это не недостаток, менять старинные окна на звукоизоляционные точно не стоит! Это будет некрасиво. Но если вам мешают звуки, берите беруши. У меня они были :)

A classic riad with beautiful interiors. Great location in Marrakech. Ayoub and the ladies in the kitchen were super helpful and friendly.

This was a lovely peaceful space. We wanted to stay in the Medina, and after the hustle and bustle it was lovely and quiet, but still close to the action. The staff were great, especially Ayaub. He was so friendly and helpful. He was a star!

Stilvoll eingerichtetes kleines Riad mitten in der Altstadt. Jedes Zimmer ist individuell gestaltet und hat eine angenehme Größe. Wunderschöner Garten mit vielen Nischen auf der Dachterrasse. Sehr ruhig trotz zentraler Lage. Alles sauber. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das marokkanische Frühstück konnte nach Wunsch oben auf der Dachterrasse oder unten im Patio eingenommen werden. Taxitransfer vom/zum Flughafen über das Riad gegen Aufpreis ist empfehlenswert, da die Altstadt autofrei ist und ein Lastenkuli das Gepäck und die Gäste zum Riad bringt. Ich war schon das 2. Mal in diesem wunderschönen Riad.

Absolutely beautiful Riad- so many beautiful trees and flowers - a little paradise! Birds, butterflies, sounds of the palm trees in the wind. Beautiful art work everywhere - like an art collectors’ Moroccan bolthole. Big shout out to Ayoub- thank you so much for your kind hospitality!

Das Riad ist sehr zentral gelegen und man kommt schnell zu Fuss zu den Attraktionen. Es war praktisch immer ein Manager vor Ort. Das Frühstück kann im Zimmer oder an einer der vielen (!) Terrassen und Rückzugsmöglichkeiten einnehmen. Es hat sehr viele Pflanzen was den Ort einfach nur atemberaubend macht. Unser Zimmer war sehr authentisch eingerichtet und hatte viel Charm.

Das Gebäude nebendran wird gerade (April 2026) renoviert und es war störend. Sie haben zwar Rücksicht genommen und morgens und abends nicht gearbeitet, doch da wir mit den Kindern dort waren, waren wir auch teilweise durch den Tag im Zimmer. Es hat sehr viele Treppen die sehr Eng sind, wodurch der Aufenthalt mit sehr kleinen Kindern nicht optimal ist. Es gibt zwar einen Lift, doch der geht nur vom EG auf die Terrasse. Den Kinderwagen muss man beim Eingang irgendwo deponieren. Babybett war vorhanden, jedoch war es ein Beistellbett für Neugeborene (wahrscheinlich bis max 10 kg).

The riad was historic and in a great location, close to the souks and restaurants,( some of which serve wine) .Shady courtyards with birdsong. The staff are charming and helpful but the stairs to the cosy loft room are steep. Breakfasts are very good, plentiful and wirh real fresh orange juice as well as eggs, bread, yogurts fruit and jams.

It was a jaw dropping experience the riad is so beautiful also the staff was extremely friendly we had a very clean room with good view. The location really good in a quieter,less hectic part of medina. I would definitely stay there again

This was our second time at Riad Lyla. The architecture and the garden are fascinating, as the view from the terrace where we had breakfast. Ayoub is so kind and helpful, but also the rest of the staff is great. The location in the medina is perfect. Thank you and see you soon

J’ai eu le plaisir de séjourner au Riad Lyla du 21 au 22, et comme à chaque fois, ce fut une très belle expérience. Le personnel est vraiment exceptionnel : accueillant, attentionné et toujours disponible. On se sent comme à la maison. Cela fait déjà plusieurs fois que je viens dans ce riad, et je ne suis jamais déçu. Je recommande vivement cet endroit à toute personne cherchant un séjour agréable et authentique au Marrakech.

تجربة زوينة بزاف فهاد الرياض! الاستقبال كان مزيان من اللول، والناس خدامين فيه محترمين وكيعاونوا فكل حاجة. الغرف نقيين ومرتاحين، والجو عامر بالهدوء وكيخليك تحس براسك فدارك. الفطور كان لذيذ ومتنوع، وطيراس زوين. الموقع حتى هو قريب لكلشي فالميدينة.

An exquisite traditional Riad in a fabulous location for those wanting to explore the Medina. The welcome tea and cakes, wonderful roof top terraces and tranquil greenery with clouds of bougainvillea make this a a fabulous choice for a Marrakech break.

Etwas versteckte Lage, so dass ein Taxi nicht vor der Tür halten kann. Ein kurzer Fussmarsch muss in Kauf genommen werden. Ein schön gepflegter Innenhof und saubere Zimmer entsprachen unseren Erwartungen.

Même si c’est au bout d’une ruelle, nous avons été dérangés tous les matins très tôt (7h) par le bruit (beaucoup de passage dans la maison d’en face). Je pense que le séjour aurait été extra dans une chambre qui n’est pas sur la rue

Ayoub was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother. He really made our experience smooth and relaxed! The property is beautiful with a stunning bougainvillia and lots of cute little nooks and crannies.

The breakfast wasn't our favourite and the king-sized bed in the family room was a bit soft, but we still absolutely loved our stay at Riad Lyla!

Staff were very helpful. Riad felt really authentic and we really loved the character of the place with the old wood furniture and interwoven climbing plants - a real sanctuary from the hussle and bustle of the Souks which this Riad is about 2 mins walk from. Breakfast was great but dont expect a buffet, it's a set tray of tasty goodies! We felt the Riad was clean, and the bedding and towels in the room were crisp and fresh.

We felt the lighting in the bedroom could have been brighter / better. A fair bit of noise from immediate surroundings and also from nearby Mosque very early in the morning.

Mooie Riad in de Medina met vooral een mooie fauna en mooie tuin op het dak. We hadden een familiekamer die voldoende was voor 4 personen. Het was proper.

In de Medina is het druk en ook was eerste moment nogal overweldigend als je uit het Westen komt. Je kan er niet geraken met de auto, dus zet men je af buiten de poort en brengen ze je gerief naar daar. Er was 's nachts toch redelijk wat geluid van airco buitenunit overbuur en telkens iemand aan de voordeur klopt. De badkamer vrij klein en lampje kapot. Je eet best niet in de Riad zelf.
