Hakone Onsen Ryokan Yaeikan

We had a super cosy time staying here. We booked a private onsen and it was a lovely experience. Staff was very attentative and the food held high quality. Onsen was very relaxing.

The slippers you were given to walk around the hotel is a danger, they are very slippery. Fridge felt very old and is only suitable for water bottles.

Posizione a 6’ a piedi da stazione hakone yumoto, nonché 1 minuti da fermata bus per lago. Struttura storica molto bella e originale, non modificata troppo per piacere ai turisti. Camera (standard, con sauna privata, doccia e wc) spaziosa e con vista fiume suggestiva. Cena molto ricca e ben servita. Onsen privata prenotabile rilassante. Onsen pubblica valida e più grande della privata. Si dorme sui futon (tipico e comodo per me). Nonostante i punti sotto, che ho messo per dare più informazioni, vi raccomando di andare

Non è vero che è sporca, ma qualche attenzione in più la meriterebbe. Colazione giapponese tutta di pesce e zuppe, sicuramente originale, ma non semplice per europei. Rigidità negli orari: cena alle 6.00 pm, colazione tra le 7 e le 8.30, onsen privata prenotabile per 30’ solo dopo il check-in e se si arriva dopo le 17 é già tutta prenotata (ma ce ne è un’altra privata libera per coppie senza prenotazione, oltre quella pubblica maschi femmine divisi). Consiglio di chiudere la porta perché quando portano il cibo bussano ed entrano dopo 5” in autonomia, stamattina ero in bagno in mutande… Staff gentile, ma sono davvero quasi tutti ragazzini giovanissimi e senza esperienza

We had a wonderful stay at Yaeikan. The traditional atmosphere, the warm hospitality and especially the private onsen in our room made the experience very special. Having both dinner and breakfast served in our room was another highlight: the food was beautifully prepared and made the stay feel even more authentic and relaxing. We only stayed for one night this time, so unfortunately we had very little time to explore Hakone itself. We would definitely love to come back and stay longer next time, both to enjoy the ryokan again and to discover more of the beautiful area around it. A truly memorable Japanese experience that we would happily repeat.

The location was good and room was very spacious - easy walk from the station.

This Ryokan did not live up to expectations or the photos that are shown prior to booking. We booked this Ryokan for 2 nights on our honeymoon paying for a private Onsen and expecting a traditional experience. The room we were provided had no windows with very little natural light (plywood over the windows - see photos). The hotel also felt very run down - broken tiles in the public Onsen, dust and dirt in the room and a toilet that smelt. The food served was very traditional which we expected but at times it was hard to stomach even for two adventurous eaters. The hotel had limited soul or friendly staff - would not stay again and are surprised by the number of good reviews that encouraged us to stay.

Como experiencia está bien pero no es para estar más de una noche, no se descansa bien y tanto la cena como el desayuno uff me esperaba otra cosa algo mejor

La chambre était très agréable, et la salle de bain spacieuse. Les onsens en extérieur étaient également très agréables. Le personnel est souriant et compétent. Le dîner était simplement succulent. L'établissement est à 10 minutes à pied de la gare, ce qui est un plus.

Zona molto comoda per via delle varie fermate del bus a pochi minuti e anche la via principale di Hakone con tutti i negozietti di souvenir. Staff cordiale la signora che ci ha servito la cena era una forza della natura.

L'onsen era veramente troppo caldo ma è sicuramente una prerogativa di tali vasche è che noi turisti non siamo molto abituati. 😅

The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were absolutely outstanding. Three onsens in-house were great. The architecture and design of the ryokan was beautiful. The tatami mat rooms were very spacious and clean. The location was just walking distance from the train station. Every time we were heading out, they got our shoes prepared and placed them on the front steps for us.

It is showing some signs of age, but still very charming. For example, the toilet was malfunctioning (but they quickly fixed it). The staff are not Japanese and while their customers service was great, it didn’t have the usual attention to detail and custom we had experienced in other parts of Japan.

The staff were amazing and welcoming and the ryokan offered an unique traditional experience. The food was extremely high quality and led us to try authentic Japanese foods we wouldn't have otherwise.

Nikt nie przyszedł sprzątnąć futonow mimo, ze powiedziało nam, ze 30 minut przed śniadaniem ktoś będzie. Onsen prywatny trochę gryzniety zębem czasu, choć trudno sie dziwic- woda i słońce robia swoją robotę.

Klassisches Ryokan. Sauber, sehr tolles Personal. Hochwertiges Kaisen Essen, liebevoll zubereitet

Man muss den Geruch aus Tatami, Zedern- und Zypressenholz mögen. Für uns war es gewöhnungsbedürftig, ebenso wie das Kaisenessen. Vorallem zum Frühstück. Uns war nicht bewusst, dass wir uns tagsüber nicht einfach mal im Zimmer ausruhen konnten, da die Betten erst am Abend aufgebaut werden.

Ryokan avvolto nella natura, ma facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici. Avevamo la stanza sulla cascata e spenta l'aria condizionata, abbiamo dormito con la frescura della montagna e il rumore del ruscello. Abbiamo preso la stanza tradizionale con i fuiton e con il tavolo basso e devo dire che è stato davvero piacevole. Cena ampia e così anche la colazione, che è anche molto tradizionale e molto lontana dallo stile occidentale, può quindi non piacere. Ma se si vuole vivere il Giappone, è un posto che permette l'esperienza a 360°.

Los futones son cómodos.

Mala relación calidad-precio. Te hacen llegar a las 17:30 porque sino te puedes quedar sin cena pero luego hasta las 19:00 no la sirven, con lo que limitan el tiempo que puedes pasar fuera haciendo alguna excursión o actividad. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien y te helabas o lo tenías que quitar y te cocías. Entiendo que en un sitio de naturaleza haya bichos pero deberían cuidar la limpieza más, había telarañas en las estancias y no es agradable bañarse en el onsen privado de la habitación con arañas enormes colgando. Las instalaciones en general también necesitan renovarse.

Our family had an incredible experience from the time we walked through the hotel door. The traditional Japanese Onsen, dinner and breakfast was fantastic and i would highly recommend to any family to stay who are looking to experience the Japanese traditions.

房間非常的寬敞。全家人進入房間後，可以自由自在的享受攸閒時光。房內的獨立湯池可以同時容納二個大人和一個小孩，不會感到擁擠、又能一起聊天。

訂房時有另購全家人的晚餐，但上菜時才發現，小孩的餐點和大人不同。大人的餐點是日式、小孩僅只有提供一盤洋食，若小孩的餐點不同，應該要事先告知 或 和房客確認。

Esperienza bellissime, la stanza tradizionale è un'esperienza da provare almeno una volta nella vita, e questa era davvero davvero bella. Lo staff è gentilissimo e attento a tutto, sono bravissimi a farti sentire accolto e coccolato.

Il cibo (per quanto preparato con molta cura e attenzione) non è per tutti i palati. Non dico che non sia buono, ma per un turista occidentale potrebbe non essere semplice, soprattutto a colazione.

The meals were beautiful and the staff were very kind. The massage therapist was AMAZING! He was so friendly and funny, highly recommend him!

The room was extremely outdated and very dirty. There was a smell of mold and mildew in the room with visible mold/mildew in the onsen room. The pictures show a beautiful room, but they are not accurate. I felt very dirty during my whole stay and would not be able to stay more than 1 night.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit privatem Onsen, was sehr angenehm war!!! Die Keiseki Menus waren wunderbar

El servei molt dolent. Després de pagar el que pagues per nit que et cobrin un cafè de l’esmorzar per què no està inclòs i que et vulguin cobrar per demanar una tovallola més no és de rebut. L’habitació és maca. Esmorzar i sopar japonès ( has d’estar preparat) i onsen privat però no tornaria. Em va decepcionar molt quan em volien cobrar per un cafè i una tovallola més. Decepcionant

The property was very clean. Staff are friendly and it gave us the ultimate Japanese ryokan experience.

Would’ve preferred at least one or two chairs in our room uncomfortable sitting on the floor all the time

Das Essen war sehr gut und die Zimmer waren auch sehr schön eingerichtet. Der Futon war bequem und man konnte schön im Onsen baden. Es gab sowohl ein Familienonsen als auch einzelne für Frauen und Männer.

Struttura perfettamente in stile giapponese tradizionale. Ottima posizione (6 minuti a piedi dalla stazione). Noi abbiamo raggiunto la struttura a piedi dalla stazione con estrema facilità nonostante le pesantissime valigie al seguito

Questo è un pregio della struttura: colazione e cena molto abbondanti ed in perfetto stile tradizionale giapponese. Noi occidentali non siamo abituati e dopo il primo giorno purtroppo abbiamo lasciato quasi tutto.

お料理が夕朝食共にお部屋でゆっくりとれて、内容、量、美観が良かったです。

お風呂の大浴場、露天風呂が少し残念でした。シャワーが使えない箇所がありました。お風呂は家族風呂の方が良いと思います。部屋が3階でしたがスリッパで3階まで登るのが大変でした。ご老人は困難ですね。

宿泊前日に1泊2食付きで予約、客室に温泉がついておりゆっくり温泉に入れて良かった。 また、食事も部屋食で良かった。 従業員の方は、外国の方が多かったが、頑張って仕事してるなと言う印象でした。

部屋が狭い為、布団を従業員の方が設置し、朝食30分前に回収にくるのが慌しくてどうかな？と感じた。 朝の布団の回収はチェックアウト後が良かったと感じた。

Il bagno super attrezzato, con disponibilità anche di detergente e crema per il viso. Oltre naturalmente all'onsen privata, una chicca!

Struttura tradizionale molto curata, con onsen pubblico (non c’era nessuno comunque) che ha anche vasca all’aperto, diviso tra maschi e femmine, è un onsen privato. Buona la cena tradizionale e la colazione, gentilissimo lo staff (ci hanno fatto lasciare i bagagli in mattinata prima del giro di Hakone)

The staff welcomed us very hsppily and carried our heavy luggage to the room. The staff was super helpfull and friendly. The dinner and breakfast was diverse and very fresh.

During dinner maybe ask for drinks. We didnt know if we would get drinks or not. And at the end of dinner we thought about it and ordered drinks

L'onsen privato in camera vale tutto! La cena e la colazione sono eccellenti e abbondanti.

La gestione della cena e della colazione obbligano la sistemazione della camera (da pranzo a letto e viceversa) adattandosi ai tempi della struttura. Ma ne vale la pena.

Brilliant traditional Ryokan, the staff could not have done more for us. The food was probably the highlight as that was a great experience sat on the floor, with so many different bits! The location was great, so central & if you are doing the Hakone loop it’s only 8-10m to the station.

The onsen were very small & overall the accommodation was quite dated, based on the cost, and some of the pictures I was expecting a bit more. The whole experience was definitely a highlight of our trip.

Ryokan con stanza molto ampia e onsen nel bagno privato, personale molto gentile e con disponibilità di diverse vasche: una con possibilità di prenotazione e utilizzo privato, una sempre in utilizzo privato ma solo a disponibilità e le altre due ad accesso libero in condivisione con gli altri ospiti. Cena e colazione tipiche con gusti molto ampi.

La struttura è un una posizione molto centrale nel paesino però è oggettivamente datata, la moquette avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata risulta tutta macchiata. Per il resto siamo stati accolti in maniera impeccabile e anche la cena e la colazione erano buone, certo non è un posto economico ma lo sapevamo. L’onsen privato in stanza è una chicca, ma quelli pubblici sotto sono comunque molto belli, specialmente quello all’aperto

Struttura datata e decisamente costosa per quello che offre. Non ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio. C’era puzza di pipì nel bagno, macchie, rubinetteria datata.

Accoglienza senza calore. Bagni datati e onestamente non puliti bene c’era odore di pipì. Ho pagato 850€ per una notte, se ne avessi pagati 200€ probabilmente lo avrei potuto anche sopportare, ma a questi prezzi assolutamente no, ai limiti della truffa proprio. Hanno sicuramente bisogno di una rinfrescata, manutenzione e migliore cura dell’ospite per queste cifre.il personale era anche carino? Ma la struttura va sistemata e va formato meglio al check in.

Avevamo una stanza molto bella con onsen privato esterno. Cena e colazione in camera davvero spettacolare

Attenzione per chi è alto nei corridoi e quando si salgono le scale, ci si può fare male alla testa. Molti scalini, noi avevamo solo zaini e sconsiglio di portare valigie.

Very unique place with excellent service and food

C'est un ryokan traditionnel équipé et meublé avec soin, confortable, bien placé, calme, avec une ambiance magique et un personnel très agréable. L'onsen dans l'appartement (plusieurs pièces ! 1 entrée, 1 chambre, 1 salle de repas, 1 petit dégagement avec bouilloire et frigo) avec vue montagne était superbe. Les futons etaient très confortables et les draps ultra doux

S'il fallait trouver 1 chose à redire : la pièce pour prendre le repas sentait un peu la viande à notre arrivée

Super expérience traditionnelle. De l'accueil au onsen, tout est impeccable et le personnel est super pour vous mettre à l'aise! Le souper dans la chambre est excellent même s'il sort de nos habitudes gastronomiques.

Rien. Le déjeuner traditionnel est peut-être un peu difficile pour des occidentaux mais ça fait partie de l'expérience.

Les onsen sont petits et vieillissants. Le petit déjeuner typique peut être difficile pour certains. Le couchage au sol n’est pas très confortable mais c’est le jeu !

Onsen molto carino. Struttura leggermente datata ma faceva la sua scena e faceva parte della caratteristica secondo me. Lo staff molto cordiale e disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. Abbiamo soggiornato nella stanza con la vasca privata avendo tatuaggi ed è stato eccezionale.

客室風呂の広さが良かったのと、客室サウナは他になかなか無い長所。 眺望もとても良い 部屋食も今は随分減ってしまった文化で、古き良き旅館の長所を残している。

客室露天風呂に網戸がないので、蚊が怖くて窓を開けられず、開放感はあまり味わえなかった 店員さんは丁寧な応対ではあったけど、日本語が聞き取りにくい部分が多かった

Futonlarin personel tarafindan konulmasini anliyoruz ancak misafirler kendileri de futonlari yerlestirebilirler diye dusunuyoruz. O konuda hizmet alinmasa da olur diye dusunduk. Bir de otobusumuz erken saatte vardigi icin ryokanda biraz dinlenmek istedik ancak sadece yarim saat izin verildi. O saatte acik bir yer yoktu ve erken check in olasiligini da sormus ve reddedilmistik. Check in olmasa bile sabah cok erken gelen ziyaretcilerin ortak alanda oturmasina/dinlenmesine daha cok musade edilmeli diye dusunuyoruz.

La Struttura è bella e grande e anche la camera

Il rapporto qualità prezzo non c'è. Abbiamo speso molto per una qualità che non valeva la cifra che abbiamo speso. Non lo consigliere perche COSTA TROPPO. Avevo scelto la camera inclusa con Osen privato ma me lo immaginavo diverso, e per la cifra che ho speso non ne valeva la pena, Anche perche solo in loco ho scoperto che 30min di Osen privato l'avrei avuto lo stesso anche senza pagare il triplo. La cena è buona, la colazione molto meno. Di per se non sarebbe male, ma non vale i soldi che costa. ci sono strutture uguali ma a prezzi molto piu convenienti,

Location, very traditional and large room. We took the premium room which had a private onsen: lovely.

Dirty, from the fridge to the furniture and room the stains and dirt was marketed as original but it was not. Disgusting refrigerator from the 80s and poor maintenance. Dinner was classic Japanese but basic. Room small: either dinner table or bed. No elevator so luggage had to be carried by hand upstairs 2 floors.

Excellent old style Japanese hotel with onsen. Dinner and breakfast are fantastic, dont miss it!

Stupenda, abbiamo preso una camera con la finestra che si apriva davanti al fiume, abbiamo dormito nei futon per terra con il rumore del fiume , il cibo molto buono, tante portate. L’onsen chiusa, non é all’aperto.

Le ryokan est bien situé à 10 min de la gare. Il y a un parking. Le personnel est sympathique. La chambre est spacieuse et propre. Les repas sont très bons. On peut privatiser gratuitement un onsen dans l établissement.

Séjour exceptionnel. Chambre très spacieuse comportant plusieurs pièces séparées. Futons très confortables. Un onsen privé fabuleux. Et le summum les repas : le diner servi dans la chambre et le petit déjeuner le matin qui est tellement copieux qu'on n'a pas besoin de manger le midi. Tout était excellent, varié et typique, nous avons énormément apprécié ce séjour traditionnel dans ce Ryokan qui est aussi bien placé, pas trop loin de la gare. C'est une expérience à ne pas manquer.

Rien, tout était parfait.

Accueille limite, incapable d’appeler un taxi, nous les avons prévenus à l’arrivée que nous étions allergique au poisson, ils nous ont dit que ce n’étais pas un problème mais nous ont quand même servi des fruits de mers ainsi que du poisson. Décevant, ne vaut pas le prix élevé.

L'emplacement est pratique, les chambres très grandes et le onsen extérieur agréable

Tout le reste. Les règles sont rigides. Il faut aimer dîner à 18h et se coucher à 20h. Vous mangez japonais le soir et au petit déjeuner. Les lits et coussins ne sont pas confortables. La lumière qui rentre à l'aube et le bruit assourdissant de la climatisation n'aident pas au sommeil. La rapport qualité prix n'est pas au rdv.

Très bon accueil. Les repas sont sophistiqués et atypiques.Des découvertes pour les papilles. C’est Très soigné. Proche de la gare . Facile pour naviguer depuis cet endroit. Le onsen privé...un vrai plus.

急に旅行の予定が決まったので、ここでいいやと思い予約しましたが予想を超えてよかったです。

もうすこし部屋以外の清潔感など徹底してると尚良いと思います

L’authenticité, le onsen extérieur, l’emplacement, le calme, l’impression d’être chez soi.

Le confort, le côté très défraîchi un peu cracra, moquette douteuse, futons tachés. L’accueil un peu limite, nous sommes arrivés dégoulinants et personne ne nous a proposé un verre d’eau. Les repas était préparés avec beaucoup de soin et étaient hyper copieux, mais on a trouvé ça un peu dure notamment au petit déjeuner ( soupes, poisson séchés…). Aucun store, ni rideaux et donc réveillés à 5h. Il n’y a pas de futons dans la journée, ils sont rangés le matin et ressortis le soir. On se retrouve donc, dans une grande chambre de 50m2, vide ! Juste une table basse. Un peu dure quand on est en plein décalage horaire. Le personnel ne parle pas anglais, un peu étonnant quand on travaille dans le tourisme.

Struttura magnifica ad Hakone. Un ryokan stupendo, dotato di Onsen privato su prenotazione e pubblico sempre a disposizione. Noi avevamo la camera con addirittura l’onsen privato solo per noi. Tutto meraviglioso.. è stata un esperienza unica. Lo staff gentilissimo e cordiale. Ci hanno servito cena tipica giapponese con una decina di piatti tipici, anche la mattina ci è stata portata la colazione tipica giapponese. Consiglio a tutti di alloggiare una notte qui nella struttura così da provare quest’esperienza meravigliosa!!

Excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from the station. The traditional dinner and breakfast in the room were quite good and authentic. The hot spring facilities are wonderful, especially the private open-air bath. The staff is welcoming, kind, and manages to communicate fine in English.

The property is a bit dated and could use an update, but everything remains very clean, traditional, and comfortable.

No elevator

L’accueil est agréable, le personnel dévoué et les chambres sont grandes.

Pas de salle de bain dans la chambre, obligés de laver aux onsens ! Et pas de salle de restauration, le repas est servi dans la chambre ce qui nous met mal à l’aise par rapport aux serveurs. La nourriture bien présentée mais au niveau du goût vraiment pas top. Plus beau que bon. Déçu de ce ryokan après en avoir fait de beaucoup mieux .

O atendimento e a experiência do jantar e do café foram algo extraordinário.

É preciso atentar que a estrutura é antiga, mas reformada. O onsen é algo bastante diferente na nossa cultura ocidental. Adoramos a estadia, mas não nos sentimos confortáveis em fazer o onsen.

Scegliendo l'onsen privato, l'accesso resta comunque condiviso con gli altri ospiti che hanno selezionato la stessa opzione, con un tempo massimo di utilizzo di 30 minuti. Inoltre, al momento del nostro turno, la vasca non era particolarmente pulita. Struttura molto antiquata.

Tolle Erfahrung, mal in einem Ryokan zu übernachten. Wir hatten nen privaten Onsen im Zimmer -> Top! Kaiseki Dinner war sehr gut! Lage super nahe am Bahnhof und neben dem Fluss.

Great Ryokan and Kaiseki experience. Excelllent staff and very attentive to our needs. The place is walkable to shops, eateries, and bus station. There is a tourist information near the bus station. The ladies in there speaks English and was very helpful.

We had an exceptional view from our window as we could see the mountains and a river below. This location has 4 onsens, each with a different feel to it.

Camera tradizionale giapponese stupenda. Letti comodissimi e onsen privata meravigliosa. Cena e colazione tipiche giapponesi molto buono. Personale gentilissimo. Consigliatissima.
