It will be very helpful if they can keep the restaurant open for a little bit later than 5 o’clock on a Monday Tuesday

Lovely and peaceful , do note that it’s part of retirement complex. Was perfect as I travelled with my elderly mum.

A gracious refined old Manor House in a leafy suburban area of Cape Town, but close to main arterial roads, good shops and restaurants ,Cavendish Square, Newlands Sports stadium , Arderne gardens etc. Spacious comfy rooms with ample cupboards and en suites. It is attached to an upmarket retirement estate and you have access to their facilities such as coffee shop, gym and gardens

Access to the Estate is up a very narrow road, which is the norm in that suburb and the on site parking was quite tight.

It’s location was perfect for our requirements. It was quiet, no traffic noise. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back.

Portions were small, a la carte, some variety. Good coffee. Comfortable rooms, warm and cozy.

Our room was above teh kitchen so had a persistent smell of frying food and oil.

It is a retirement home with few rooms available. The facilities, guests and kitchen was superb. I will return.

Breakfast starts too late (7am), so if you are in CT for work it is not so convenient.

Didn’t mention you are in the heart of a retirement estate, so everything runs around timing for the elderly. After 5 pretty much no one is around, if you have a problem in your room there was no one to contact, which we did one night. No bar or restaurant facilities available if no function happing at the retirement side…a bit misleading in advertising on bookings as none of the retirement side is mentioned. If you want to run as a boutique hotel these things are needed.

Wytham Manor House is such a beautiful place to stay. Rooms are large. Decorated beautifully. Everything was perfect. Lovely restaurant. Staff are amazing. Friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this accommodation in a quiet and safe area.

Außergewöhnlich ruhig Zimmer groß, komfortabel und sehr sauber-- es hat an nichts gefehlt.

Frühstück qualitativ gut.Jedoch einfallslos, sehr wenig .1 Scheibe Toastbrot ist selbst für Kinder zu wenig. 2.Kaffee kostet extra. Das Frühstück ist diesem Hotel nicht angemessen.Auch gibt es nur 2 Optionen zur Auswahl--- Alles andere kostet extra Hier herrscht dringend Handlungsbedarf.

Drilling downstairs in day of arrival, no controlled aircon despite marketed. Breakfast was below par and the staff and help was shocking. Couldn’t even get a latte sent to my room in the morning

Everything was exceptional. The hotel apartment is beautifully designed and located in a safe, quiet, and prestigious neighborhood right in the heart of Cape Town. The surroundings are peaceful yet central, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. We also appreciated the secure free parking and the delicious breakfast. A truly wonderful stay.

They didn’t even had my booking. No staff around. No wine glasses, ice, wine opener. Banging doors constantly because of self lock doors. No response to questions asked. Backbone of property MIA

Beautifully appointed and the breakfast was superb. We wish we had longer to enjoy the ambience.

The location, facilities and accommodation were absolutely superb! Every single one of the staff members made us feel welcome, safe and valued. Junior in particular on security (alongside all the other lovely gentlemen) greeted us with a friendly smile every time we came and went and was pleased to see our safe return. Gardener Ben helped us with our luggage and was never too busy to stop and chat about the weather and flowers and was a wonderful treat to see him daily working incredibly hard! Caroline and Owen were a joy to see at breakfast, always remembering our orders and Caroline in particular making us feel welcome, valued and looking after our every need. The rooms were huge, spotlessly clean and so very comfortable. We forgot we were sharing the complex with other residents but when we saw them they were friendly and chatty and enjoyed our travel stories. I will genuinely miss our time here and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you team.

If I had to pick one negative I would say that the breakfasts were on the lean side. A very small portion of eggs on toast / a full English OR muesli for breakfast and a coffee. While this was prepared exceptionally well, we are used to getting a bit more to start our busy days with big appetites. Not a negative just an observation. Also the bar / restaurant isn’t open past five, again not a negative but worth noting incase you need anything.

Breakfast was really good and very well priced. We were treated with respect and courtesy by all the staff and felt they went over and beyond to assist us with any of our queries and requests.

Due to our circumstances (one of our party being hospitalized) we would have liked a little later check-out time (12h00 rather than 10h00). Although we did put through a query in this regard, we were unable to convince the staff to accede to this request. Management may want to consider allowing such a request under exceptional circumstances, especially in once-off situations.

That all is closed from 5 pm most days - would love to have access to a drink or some ice … may be an honesty bar could work well or some options in the room bar fridge

We loved the secluded nature of the property. It’s a 126 year old property which shows its age but is very well maintained! Security excellent . Staff were very friendly and efficient ! We arranged a morning tea for 10 people in the garden area and the support and service provided by the staff was excellent!!

Территория отеля отличная и приятный тихий район. Отличный официант на завтраках👍. Наличие не большой фитнес зоны.

Рядом с номером стройка , утром около 8:00 на тебя уже смотрят строители с крыши , шторы в номере прозрачные, тебя видно как на ладони. Завтрак очень базовый ( омлет или мюсли) , если что то желаешь добавить даже самое примитивное то это доп плата. Ну и вишенка на торте мне позвонил в 2:30 ночи охранник и попросил припарковать машину в другое место , причину я так и не понял, хотя когда я приехал вечером и встал на это место охрана ничего не сказала. Так же отель очень возрастной , наполнен приятными бабулями за 90 лет. После 17:00 в отеле кроме охраны нет никого. Поужинать или выпить в этом районе невозможно , там нет ничего рядом.

The breakfast was horrible. The eggs were hard, their bacon was over cooked. For the amount charged for the roms, one would expect a breakfast spread, and not choice between cold and hot. It was too limited for the amount charged

Le cadre de Wytham Manor est agréable, calme et bien situé. La maison est charmante et offre un environnement reposant, propice à un séjour paisible. L’atmosphère générale est soignée et le lieu dégage un vrai cachet.

La chambre attribuée était nettement plus petite que celle présentée sur les photos lors de la réservation, sans indication claire de cette différence. Pour un séjour long, le manque d’espace est inconfortable. Par ailleurs, dès 17h, les mousses des sièges sont retirées de la terrasse, ce qui empêche de profiter pleinement du jardin pourtant très agréable. Cette contrainte est regrettable et limite l’expérience globale du lieu.

The accommodation, situated in an upmarket retirement estate, was spacious and clean with a full bathroom, kitchenette, lounge area and balcony. There was a small under-counter fridge which was quite adequate. The central air-conditioning was effective. The kitchen staff prepared a very good breakfast and lunch as well.

The duvet-cover on the king-sized bed had a small tear under the throw that appears to have been over-looked by house-keeping staff. There was a lovely coffee-station, however the cups provided were better suited in size to tea. Larger coffee mugs would be nice. No cutlery and crockery provided, other than the two teacups, teaspoons and saucers.

Wytham Estate was a standout stay for us. My wife especially loved how warm and attentive the staff were from the moment we arrived. The property feels genuinely luxurious without being pretentious, and everything was handled with care and attention to detail. Parking was simple, which made coming and going easy, and the estate sits in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood that made the whole experience even more relaxing. A wonderful place to stay in Cape Town.

We honestly didn’t find anything to dislike about the property; everything met or exceeded our expectations.

Amamos o quarto, é grande e a cama super aconchegante. Adoramos também o fato de ser um complexo de residência para idosos. Um lugar de paz, silêncio.

O café da manhã é super fraco, com pouquíssimas opções e a academia tem pouquíssimos aparelhos.

Das Frühstück war sehr minimalistisch, es gab zwar ein Menü, jedoch konnte nur aus zwei Optionen gewählt werden. Ein Wechsel in eine günstigere Option war nicht möglich, nur gegen 100% Aufpreis. Das Waschen von ein paar Dingen ist mit 18€ verhältnisweise teuer.

It’s far from town

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful manor. The yellow room was beautiful. Very spacious with lovely decor , furniture and linens. The king bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious with lovely soaps , creams and shampoo. The staff at the gate and in the restaurant were all very friendly. The breakfast was either hot or cold and was delicious. Thank you for a great stay and making a plan for my husbands racing car. 🤗

Cadre exceptionnel loin de l’agitation de la ville mais à seulement 20min. Vieille bâtisse de 126ans rénovée avec soins et goût. Confort exceptionnel +++ bouteilles d’eau plate et gazeuse / café nespresso à disposition en chambre

Het personeel was allemaal super vriendelijk! Ook elke ochtend genoten van een heerlijk ontbijt. Ruime kamer en alles was erg schoon en mooi ingericht. Heerlijke dagen gehad net buiten Kaapstad in een mooie wijk.

The room was very spacious and the bed really comfortable. A nice variety of food available in the restaurant making it very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Safe parking.

Kids attending a birthday party downstairs, with their parents, were making a lot of noise in the passage outside the room after 22h00. Spoke to them and they then went away.

Fabuleux manoir, très joliment rénové et confortable. La nourriture était très bien, ainsi que le service au bar-restaurant, personnel aimable.

Fenêtres et porte mal isolées, pas de rideaux opaques : nous étions réveillés tous les matins par la lumière et le bruit du couloir et du jardin. Le service à la réception était médiocre. Notre check-in s’est notamment mal passé car à 23:30, après un très long voyage et malgré avoir prévenu par deux fois que nous arriverons tard, personne n’était là pour nous accueillir et aucune instruction n’avait été laissée. C’est la personne au poste de garde qui a dû nous attribuer une chambre au hasard. Nous aurions pu passer outre mais les jours suivants la personne de la réception n’a pas non plus été d’une grande utilité pour répondre à nos questions, et à nouveau personne pour le check-out. Nous avons dû laissé la clé au bar.

The location was great, very central, and close to the office I visited. The room and bathroom were huge and tastefully decorated. I liked the overall aesthetic of the place. The staff and food were exceptional. I had dinner here as well and it was really tasty and good value for money.
