The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Tutto perfetto: i proprietari ci hanno accolto con un succo di frutta fresco e tanti sorrisi. La casa ha un bellissimo giardino, è accogliente, in un posto tranquillo vicino alla giungla. La camera è pulita, il letto comodo, la colazione abbondante e buonissima. Lo consiglio.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026Ci è piaciuto tutto. La casa è bella e accogliente con un giardino bellissimo. La stanza pulita e confortevole con aria condizionata. Letto comodo. Phon in camera. Bagno delle giuste dimensioni con acqua calda sempre disponibile. Colazione buona e abbiamo anche cenato benissimo. I proprietari sono davvero gentili e disponibili. Ci hanno dato tanti consigli e procurato il driver per la tappa successiva. Posizione ottima perche vicina all'ingresso del parco. Siamo stati davvero molto bene.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026Sweet owners. Closest to yala block 1 entrance. Clean spacious rooms and washroom. Nice eating area and outdoors. Home cooked dinner was amazing. They gave us welcome drink and a cooler drink after our safari. Peaceful.
Hot water in shower is a bit slow. Room had lizard but given it is in the wild, it seemed normal. Owner helped us get rid of it. Otherwise all great
Only stayed there for one night, but it was such a lovely and nice welcome! Our hosts were so sweet and helpful with anything! It’s also quite close to yala Nationalpark so the perfect starting point for a safari!

Reviewed Mar 4, 2026Extremely clean room and bathroom. Very kind and helpful host. He arranged everything for us we asked for. Delicious lunch box prepared for the very early morning Yala NP expedition :) You can leave your car inside of the host's property. Thank you!

Reviewed Feb 12, 2026In terms on my needs the location was excellent. The property was well maintained and well cleaned daily. The staff was absolutely wonderful, friendly and helpful. He responded to my needs and prepared me a packed lunch that was well thought-out and balanced. As i was only using it as a sleeping place it served my needs perfectly and I would certainly stay there again. Nothing requested was ever an issue and they were extremely flexible and helpful.
The only issue for me is the shower. It would be great to have plumbed in hot water and a closed of shower section.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2025Sehr netter Empfang mit Begrüßungsgetränk. Die Kommunikation war einfach und schnell. Man hat uns die Safari im Yala Natinalpark organisiert und uns unser Frühstück als Lunchpaket mitgegeben.
Wir würden aufjedenfall wieder kommen!

Reviewed Aug 27, 2025Die Gastgeber sind superlieb und bemüht. Das Barbecue im stimmungsvoll beleuchteten Garten war ein echtes Highlight - superlecker und reichlich. Auch das Abendessen am zweiten Abend (Thunfisch mit Gemüse, Meeresfrüchtesalat) war fantastisch, alles frisch zubereitet und schön angerichtet.
Das Zimmer war sehr schön, ruhig und mit guter (leiser) Klimaanlage. Frühstück war auch gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025Posizione molto comoda per il parco di Yala, a soli 20 minuti di auto. Abbiamo chiesto ai proprietari di organizzare il safari e ci siamo trovati molto bene.
Abbiamo cenato da loro, era tutto delizioso.
Dato che abbiamo fatto il safari all'alba ci hanno preparato la colazione al sacco, tutto molto buono
Non c'erano prodotti per la pulizia.
Solo sapone per le mani

Reviewed Aug 21, 2025Un hotel de 10. Pasamos una noche alli para hacer el Safari en Yala. El dueño nos organizo tanto el taxi para llegar al hotel, como la cena de ese dia (deliciosa) y el safari del dia siguiente.
Recomendamos hablar con él el dia anterior para que este todo organizado a la llegada. Lo gestiona facil, a muy buen precio y para nosotras fue una tranquilidad.
El safari fue increible, nuestro guia fue muy respetuoso con los animales y el desayuno que nos incluyeron ese dia fue abundante y perfecto.
El dueño no pudo ser mas atento y amable con nosotras.
Lo recomendamos mucho! Gracias por la estancia!!

Reviewed Feb 28, 2024It’s a beautiful clean house in a peaceful garden area, walking distance to anything you need in a quieter town. The room and bathroom are very spacious and the bed was comfortable; shower, AC etc worked great. The hosts were really lovely, offering free tea, a fruit soda and fresh fruit from their garden to us on arrival.
On top of that, they arranged a safari for us that was low cost and super fantastic!! Our driver was young but seemed to just know how long we’d want to spend with each animal and always asked us if we needed more time or not. We had read a lot about Yala safaris being a hectic experience as everyone chases leopards in the morning, but ours was a beautiful time watching the sunrise and seeing so many animals as we drove around the gorgeous park. We dodged traffic jams of jeeps and saw every animal on our list except the rare sloth bear. When there was a leopard spotted he took extra time on the tour to make sure we caught the sighting and got us a great spot in the crowd. He was also a safe driver. Thanks all!

Reviewed Jan 28, 2024The owner/host of this place is amazing. My boyfriend and I think he was the kindest man in Sri Lanka. He cooked food for us, helped us with transport to Tissamaharama and to Ella (very good prices). He maked us feel so comfortable! You will get a lot of value for money at this place! Please note that this place has a nice location if you want to go to Yala (block 1 entrance). Would recommend this place to everyone!

Reviewed Nov 6, 2023A lovely small, family operated boutique hotel, close by to a couple of cafes and coffees, which we found at short notice. We were made welcome from the start, including freshly made juice and mulberries,. The place is newly built and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was local produce served in a great commonroom which the guest rooms run off. Could almost be described as a bnb accommodation.

Reviewed May 9, 2023The place was close to the Palatupana entrance and it was clean and comfortable. It has a cute garden with a couple of benches where you can enjoy a drink or two. Calm and chilled out atmosphere. The care taker Sagara was friendly and super supportive during our stay and he actually made and packed us our breakfast early as 5.30am so we can make a head start on our safari. Value for money. We were glad that we found this place.Highly recommend and will definitely return. 👍🏾
