Un peu loin de tout mais Sigiriya est assez étendue et les déplacements sont à faire principalement en motorisé

Thara is a very nice host, but he is a bit crazy😂. We had a private treehouse and it was very nice. It is in the jungle so sometimes there are some insects that join you, but there is a good mosquito net.

The staff almost immediately becomes like family. They have the answers to all your questions and great free tours to get to meet everyone you stay with. Pool was a sanctuary to the relentless heat. I stayed 2 extra days. Lots of opportunities to see wildlife in the tree house dorms. Amazing spot

Staying at Jungle Host Hostel And Tree House was such a cool experience! The atmosphere is super chill and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring Sigiriya. The pool area is great to unwind, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A truly memorable place with great vibes!

The location was incredible, within two hours of arriving, I saw an elephant pass by the back of the hostel. The staff are so lovely and they arrange a free sunset tour every evening for the guests plus a free dinner that’s completely homemade and delicious. The pool is amazing and cleaned daily and they have the cutest puppy in the hostel too!

Das Jungle Host ist einfach nur wunderbar. Vom Innhaber bis hin zum Pool der bei den warmen Temperaturen eine wundervolle Abkühlung darstellt. Die Lage mitten im Jungle ist wirklich besonders und einzigartig. Auch bei allen Ausflügen wird bei der Buchung und Planung geholfen. Jeden Abend gibt es eine kostenlose Sunset Tour mit allen, dadurch sieht man immer nochmal was anders und Orte die man als Tourist vielleicht gar nicht entdeckt hätte. Eine absolute Herzensempfehlung

Non credo possa esserci posto migliore per soggiornare a Sigiriya. Ho passato 4 notti al Jungle Host Hostel, e sono tornato altre 2 notti la settimana dopo per un festival. Non mi sono semplicemente trovato molto bene, mi sono sentito a casa. Thara e tutto lo staff sono ragazzi simpaticissimi e organizzano un sacco di attività sul territorio. Inoltre, il fatto che organizzino le "family dinner" promuove un clima di grande socialità tra tutti gli ospiti. Mi sono trovato bene ovunque in Sri Lanka, ma Jungle Host è stato come una famiglia per i giorni in cui ci sono stato. Inoltre, c'è una bellissima piscina...Cosa volere di più?

It’s not hostel but a small village. What a beautiful place become your own, I come for 1 night and stay 1 week. It’s an amazing beautiful place. Owner and staff so good and friendly, free sunset drive so many things to say about them don’t miss this place if you are in sigiriya

So many positive things about this place: -Great location, staying in a tree house makes you feel like you are in the jungle. Elephants and other wild animals can be spotted from your terrace. -Food is excellent, very convenient to eat dinner with other guests & for a very cheap price. -Staff are the best, very very welcoming, they make you feel at home & part of the family. Thara is the best host, he will give you all the tips you need to have an amazing time in Sigiriya. He can organize for you any activities you like. -Sri Lankan owned, support this local business !! If possible I would stay forever 🎊

We were locked inside our treehouse (someone locked it from the outside)…couldn’t get in touch with the host to let us out…also no windows so monkeys will come in to the bedroom and steal things

Beautiful hostel with swimming pool in the middle of the jungle , staff is super kind and they cook amazing local food , they’re tour are the best in the area

I stayed in the 4 bed dorm and found the room clean and comfortable, as well as the bathroom. Each bed had a mosquito net, although I did not feel the need to use it. The common spaces were really well designed, with comfy chairs, hammocks, and plenty of relaxing seating areas throughout the property. The atmosphere was a big highlight. Being in a jungle setting was an interesting and unique experience, and the overall ambience was peaceful yet social. There is also a nice little pool to relax in, which added to the experience. Breakfast and dinner felt very communal and cozy, with everyone eating together and unwinding, which made it easy to connect with other travellers. Dinner was especially great, with authentic Sri Lankan curries and rice. The host, Thara, was super friendly and went out of his way to make sure everything was comfortable. He helped organize safari trips, daily sunset drives to a secret location that changed each day and also assisted with planning itineraries and suggesting activities during the stay. Overall, the social vibe was amazing, and it is a great place for solo travellers to meet and mingle.

Good to know : Uluru safari is not sure to see elephants ! I didn't see any when I went, maybe bad luck... Unlike the Minneriya safari. Don't leave anything unsecured in the rooms. Monkeys came into my room and made a mess. They destroyed and stole a few things but nothing really important thankfully. Good place if you like to smoke

Pool! Staff was very friendly and welcoming - take you out each evening to a different sunset spot. The also made dinner each night (have to pay, but not expensive) which helped the vibe and meeting other people.

Legal o lugar com piscina e no meio do mato, porém a porta do quarto ficava abrindo sozinha e tinha um problema que as vezes as pessoas fechavam a porta por fora e você poderia ficar preso, sem wi-fi nos quartos. Mas o pessoal era legal do hostel!

the property is set away from hustle of life so it is the best place to relax. the pool was also always pristine and in the sunshine.

The accom is decent especially for the price, you have everything a pool common area and nice rooms

We found the main staff tried to overcharge at a lot, you really need to be conscience of prices and asking what things cost. The bikes are apparently free but they tried to charge a 1000 rubies each definitely not worth it. We did a trip and they implied lunch was included it wasn’t and ended up being the most expensive meal I’ve paid for in all of Sri Lanka

Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit im Dschungel Hostel in Sri Lanka. Es wurden viele Unternehmungen und Aktivitäten angeboten, sodass man immer etwas unternehmen konnte. Gleichzeitig hatte man aber auch genügend Freiraum, um sein eigenes Ding zu machen und die Zeit nach den eigenen Vorstellungen zu gestalten. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich Thara, Choody, und Umar sie waren super korrekt, hilfsbereit und haben für eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre gesorgt. Insgesamt konnte man hier wirklich gut abschalten, herunterkommen und die entspannte Stimmung genießen. Ich würde das Hostel definitiv weiterempfehlen.

A very kind and welcoming hostel owner who truly goes above and beyond for his guests. He cooks delicious meals, pays attention to every detail, and is always happy to help. He also enjoys showing guests nearby spots and offers rides there with his tuk tuk. The rooms are clean, and at night you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of the jungle. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to visit or view Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock.

The property was super nice, feels like you stay in a jungle. The rooms were so nice and comfortable. The open space area was very nice to connect and especially the pool was a come together place

Jungle host is a fun, social and relaxing space, in the middle of the jungle! There’s an amazing pool, games, and a great communal vibe that makes it easy to meet new people. The rooms are spacious, clean, and surprisingly comfortable for a jungle setting. Chootie, the owner, is super chilled and welcoming. He took us to some incredible viewpoints around Sri Lanka that I will never forget! I have zero complaints and would 100% stay here again.

Het zag er opzich oke uit, zoals de foto’s incl zwembad. De kamer is simpel en doelmatig en gezien de prijs meer dan redelijk!

De communicatie was beperkt/niet. Doordat er weinig andere mensen waren is ook moeilijk om iets te organiseren, maar in de ochtend toen ik een sunrise tour wilde doen bleek de poort op slot te zijn. Dat is wel handig om vooraf te weten.

Много мест где можно посидеть, много гамаков по территории, красивый интерьер, классный бассейн, хороший персонал, сделали мне вкусный ранний завтрак по моей просьбе. А также давали горячую воду и возможность хранить продукты в холодильнике.

Great vibe and in the middle of nature. They took us on a sunset tour where we saw a wild elephant. This was super cool and included in the price. I also really enjoyed the pool, and was a nice place for people to gather.

I liked everything. I stayed in the dorm room with four beds. The room is simple but for the price I think it is good value.

You feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle and the treehouses have an amazing view. The staff is amazing and takes you on trips to places with amazing views, no one else knows about. In the evening you can get a nice homecooked meal

Not many people were there when I was, so a little quiet at times.

Oh my. Where to start. Five different people I met in Sri Lanka recommended me Jungle Host hostel, and I now see why. I stayed at this gorgeous place for only short three nights, but it felt longer. Every day was filled with big and small adventures. The owner Chooty and his lovely helping crew and friends are the most funny, inclusive, and wonderful people I met in Sri Lanka. Every evening, we had one mission - 360 degrees sunset view. One of them was the most dramatic, peaceful and beautiful sunsets in my life, filled with wild elephants, deers, eagles, lightning strikes and thunder. Amazing. Jungle Host offers clean and beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, a pool to cool off, delicious dinner and always good vibes. Make sure to stay at Jungle Host when you’re in Sigirya. Chooty, Tharanga, Omar, Wicky and the rest - Thank you so much for your smiles, jokes, Carrom games, rides and hugs. Only love.
