It was quiet with selection of great restaurants just a 1km away, and also close to both the airport and large Warner Shopping Centre. Many thanks Carol and Dave, you and your accommodation were fantastic and will be my first choice when I am back in PE again.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2025The cottage which is located in a beautiful peaceful garden with swimming pool is delightful. It met with all our expectations and equipped with everything you might need. Very clean and comfortable. The location close to St Georges hospital is also very convenient if you're from out of town. Carol is an excellent, caring, friendly and helpful host.

Reviewed Sep 29, 2024I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lloyd Road Cottage in Gqeberha during a challenging time, as I had to undergo surgery at Life St George’s Hospital, located within a very comfortable distance from Lloyd Road Cottage. When I arrived, Carol and her husband went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The cottage itself is a gem! Spotlessly clean, spacious, and beautifully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The peaceful, well-maintained garden is a lovely retreat, and their adorable cat, Sneakers, adds a charming, homely touch. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the care and kindness shown by Carol and her husband. They treated me with such warmth and professionalism, making sure I had everything I needed. Carol even left me some delicious soup the night I was discharged from the hospital - a small gesture that meant the world to me in my recovery. The property is located in a safe, quiet area and offers excellent amenities like free WiFi, private parking, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The comfort of a private entrance, a pool, and easy access to outdoor seating in the beautiful garden added to the relaxing experience. I can’t recommend Lloyd Road Cottage enough for anyone needing a home away from home, whether for leisure, business or even a hospital visit like myself. Carol and her husband are exceptional hosts, and I’m so grateful for their hospitality during my stay.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2024We stayed for a night and checked-in late in the evening. The house is so beautiful (AND HUGE) and in the nicest area of Port Elizabeth. The host, Carol, was so welcoming and kept snacks and milk for us as we were arriving late. Everything functioned in the room as expected, things like hot water, room heater, kettle, electric blanket, car parking. The room had sufficient space. The kitchenette was adequately provisioned.
Nothing that we disliked.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2024Cozy! Beautiful! Not over cluttered; stylish decorated. High standard of clean and neat. Tucked away romantic cottage atmosphere, very cozy. I am by nature a very light sleeper, and there was no noise, not even from the street. No little room littles. The beautiful garden attracted an owl the first night. What a magical experience. Would definitely stay here again. It is a Port Elizabeth hidden value for money GEM.
Personal problem; the world can't cature for everyone. It definitely would not stop me from visiting again or even recommend others. Curtains are a bit light at night. My standard of reference is block out curtains that I am so use to sleeping with at home, due to me being a light sleeper.
