Наистина чудесно място за настаняване в пустинята. Прекрасно отношение и вкусна храна. Ако е тъмно, когато се настанявате, по-добре си поръчайте да ви посрещнат. Трудно ще стигнете сами 🙂
Veoma ljubazno osoblje
Namiot przestronny z toaleta. Cos wspaniałego.
NIC!!!!
Comfortable houses, great dinner. Breakfast was OK but pretty small choice of ingredients. Fast responding owner made sure we got there, even though we played in the sand a little too much and got stuck. Recovery was instant and effective!
Lighting in the cabin could be better. There was one cold and bright light bulb switchable from the wall opposite of the bed. Some ambient, warm evening time lighting would be nice. Breakfast is not really a feast for those who prefer salty dishes.
We had a wonderful experience at the Desert Camp. The hospitality was excellent, and the staff made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Yaser, who went above and beyond to make our experience even better with his warmth, attention to detail, and kindness. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the desert!
Best camp and best host, highly recommended for an authentic desert experience
The camp itself is comfortable and cosy. The home made dinner and breakfast were great. But what made this stay extra special was the host Salim, who was amazingly hospitable, engaging and keen to fulfil even the most surprising requests. That afternoon we ended up on top of a dune sandboarding after a crazy dune bashing ride. The next morning we went to see a camel race. I recommend taking the extra trips Salim is offering - they will make the memories for a lifetime.
Very polite host and wonderful experiance! We do sunset camel ride and it was amazing!
Only 3 tents in the camping. Like a family. Saleem the owner is a really kind, respectful, helpful and well-mannered omani gentleman! He tells interesting stories and everything about the desert. The bed was perfect. The dinner and the breakfast was the best in Oman. We could not choose better, than this placd.
Nothing.
If you are looking for the least commercial desert experience in the otherwise commercialized Bidiyah desert area, this is the place to choose. Salim - an extremely carrying and generous host gives you a unique insight into his country's and Beduin's culture.
Easy and in time pickup at meeting point. Very big, new, confortable and warm tent. Great bed. In the camp there are only 3 tents: almost a private one. Intimate atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner very tasty and well cooked. Saleem is a very polite and smiling host, always ready to help and satisfy your request. A special thank to him for all the experiences he let us try, expecially for the falcon reovery.😅 Emanuela and Alessandro

Salem the host was a true plus for his hospitality and willingness to make you discover the desert.
Nothing.
It’s nicely put away from the “main” desert road, behind the dune 🙂 Salem, the owner is very friendly and involved! He has a lot of Beduin knowledge to share so just ask him any question, you’ll be surprised by the answer. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Very comfortable beds, like in luxury hotel 🤗
We had a fabulous family experience with Salem our host. He went beyond all expectations to create a fun and memorable experience. The food was great, the tents are very comfortable and the activities in the dunes were amazing. Thank you Salem for your generosity and hospitality!
We stayed at Clouds Desert Camp for three nights, over a weekend. We disagree with a recent negative review and would hope it does not deter others from staying here, they had incorrect information. - Salem and his colleagues were fantastic hosts with exceptional hospitality. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provide a genuine Omani experience. - The facilities were clean and well maintained. Our tent included a double and single bed, with provided toiletries and fresh towels. The toilet/shower room is at the back of the tent and is open roof! The bed was perfect and the mattress was medical, so very comfy. - We took part in various activities that Salem organised for us; dune bashing, camel riding, sand boarding, after dinner fire and show, a personal tour to a locals weekend camp and also to meet his family. - The food was delicious. All meals were home made, healthy, carnivore and vegetarian/vegan friendly, buffet style with seconds/thirds encouraged! - If you’re into animals, this is the perfect place to go; we saw many different animals on the way and at the camp, including donkeys, goats, baby camel, horses, Arabian deer and desert hamsters (so cute). - There are many charging points and plugs within the main dining area, so it easy to recharge phones. - Tea, coffee, biscuits and dates are provided during daytime hours in the open top dining area. There is unlimited water in 250ml bottles so need to bring your own. - The camp workers, a Tanzanian and two Bangladeshis, were very friendly, made great conversation and fulfilled any requests that we had. We can’t express enough gratitude towards Salem for providing such a fantastic experience, this has been our most enjoyable holiday, ever. He is very caring, approachable and generally a great human being. We felt honoured to be treated so well and he feels like a brother rather than a tour guide.
I stayed 1 night at Clouds Desert camp and had a wonderful time. The beds are super comfortable, the staff kind and helpful and the scenery is beautiful! There are lots of activities to try, like camel rides and sandboarding.
WARNING! This campsite is CLOSED. You will be booked at Moon Light Luxury Camp instead which is usually cheaper. They will not tell you that it is a different campsite or that you should have paid a lot less. They just hope you won't notice. The photos are of the old campsite. Desert Cloud was closed after the 2023-24 season and not reopened for 2024-25 season because they couldn't afford a government permit. Desert Cloud should have only 3 tents. Moon Light Luxury Camp has 13 tents. Below are the good things about Moon Light Luxury Camp: - comfortable beds - both open air and air conditioned communal areas - hospitable staff even if they should discontinue advertising the other property - delicious food - good campfire entertainment and the dune bashing is fun I still recommend you stay here, the 4/10 rating is to get your attention. I would rate it 7/10 based on the flaws mentioned below.

Please help save the planet and only provide 1.5 litre bottles or a water refill station. - fake grass on the balconies and in the rooms. Why? It's the desert. Traditional rugs are much nicer. - the tents all face the same direction meaning most look at other tents not the sand dunes. When it gets rebuilt next year, the balconies should all face out towards different directions to view the dunes. I still recommend you stay here, the 4/10 rating is to get your attention. Wonderful place and with great people, hosts were very friendly and helpful. The dinner with other people was also nice.
Friendly host and good communication prior to arriving. A welcome drink, delicious dinner and we all sat around the campfire afterwards chatting away. The tent was large and clean. As it's on stilts you have an amazing view over the dunes. Highly recommended!!
Everything was great
Kind people, great location easy to reach by yourself with a 4wd, amazing view, great dinner. The tent was comfortable, big bed, clean and simple but perfect private bathroom.

Literally everything - starting with the location, through perfectly designed tents and common space, entertainment offered - ride for sunset was a true blast, to mention also food and most importantly, the staff - group of very friendly, kind and caring people. This was a splendid time and one of my top travelling destinations.

We had an unforgettable time at Clouds Desert Camp which is set in a stunning spot amidst the dunes. It’s isolated location makes it amazing for stargazing, seeing the sunset, sunrise and wandering about the desert! Our small group had the campsite to ourselves which made it even more special! The tents are super comfy, clean and the bathrooms with their showers are really done! There are really no camps or settlements nearby. Salem was soooo fun, friendly and kind to chat to and the food his family cooked was incredible! It was great learning more about life in Oman and the desert from him. He also took us on an amazing drive through the dunes and we got to meet his camels too :)
Thanks so much for an amazing time and Eid Mubarak!
This was the perfect desert experience with host Salem. Tents had plenty of room with big comfortable beds. There is a separate lounge area for guests. This is not a five star luxury experience, it is the desert, water is brought in, lights are solar powered. There are only three guests tents so you have lots of privacy. Enjoy sand dunes, camels and star gazing.
It was perfect. Host was born and raised in the desert so you will get an authentic experience.
Small camp with excellent facilities and friendly service!
Like most of the desert camps here, the camp sites are placed here seasonally. We didn’t realize this but ofc it makes sense that folks don’t per se own the land they are on. What’s special about this one is that the proprietor (Salem) specifically chose to plant roots on top of a sand dune. What this means is that the views are spectacular. We decided to wake up before sunrise to hike up a higher dune point and witness sunrise and it was just unreal. We also had no neighboring campsite, which was the initial draw and it definitely lived up to expectation. P.S. Salem used to co-run and still helps family who runs Moon Light Camp. This is ofc a newer one but wanted to call out that you’ll likely experience similar quality of service and hospitality as the other camp reviews state. The other value add here is that should there be any issues (not something you should expect) that Salem knows the area quite well and can probably draw help from his local community and family. The beauty of the Bedouin way! Also don’t forget to ask about dune bashing or visiting his family’s free range camels!
The night at the Clouds Desert Camp was just amazing. The camp is far away from the city and from other camps as well, so you won’t hear anything once you get there. As we didn’t have a 4x4, we were picked up from the desert’s edge where we could park our car. We loved the hospitality, the great food (we were invited to an iftar dinner with the host’s family), the peaceful atmosphere in the desert and the beautiful sunset and sunrise.

Cloud Desert Camp is the perfect place to stay to restore peace of mind, and as soon as I left, I wish I’d booked to stay longer. The setting is tranquil; the sand is soft, the stars are bright and bountiful and the sunrise and sunset are beautiful. The tents are spacious and the beds are super comfortable. My visit was during the middle of March. It started to get warm around 8am and it was a dry 34 degrees during the day. It gets comfortably cool at night, ideal for sleeping. I was solo travelling during Ramadan and I arrived at the camp alone, due to this, I was kindly invited to have dinner with Salim’s family. On the first day I went dune bashing and to see the camels. The second day, Salim took me on a longer drive through the desert. We passed wells, that are identifiable by the trees that grow next to them: the trees are sign of life. Farms of bees that eat from the tiny yellow flowers (I believe to be Cleome pallida Kotschy); a self-sufficient school, people’s homes and the beautiful Al-Karim Mosque. The second night, Salim suggested I sleep on a dune in the desert (with a blanket and pillow) so that I didn’t miss the sunrise. A wonderful suggestion. I got to lie under a blanket of stars with a bright moon above me. When I woke during the night, the earth had rotated, the moon had gone below the horizon, and the stars were even brighter. When I woke up, I was warm, comfortable and looking directly at the sunrise. What more could anyone want? I loved the food and Salim was a perfect host. He even bought me a slice of cake and put a candle in it, as I’d told him it was my birthday! He treated me more like a dear friend than a customer; I found this common across Oman, that the people are very friendly. I’ve never been to a country where I felt as safe as I did in Oman. I was blown away by this country. It truly is magical and out of the 5 places I stayed, the desert was the most memorable and the biggest pull to take me back.
We booked the clouds camp the night before , the owner accepted and we agreed to meet at the pick up point. Then after arrival at the meeting point and already driving direction the camp , he told us that there were some technical problems in clouds desert camp who appeared already a couple days before and that he will bring us to another camp. 1 hour before sunset and after 3 hours drive to come to the meeting point , there was no other choice than to accept the other camp. But it is clear that we were treated very unfair. We went to moonlight camp , a cousin of the owner and in the camp, we got a really nice tent except no electricity and very unfriendly service. We were clearly treated different compared to other guests because we expressed our dissatisfaction of not being informed earlier. We would not have never gone to this camp ourselves with the reason that is not deep enough in the desert. So I hope that the one who books clouds desert, is really arriving in clouds camp …
Very highly recommended - we spent an amaizing time there... The owner is a very friendly guy, who speaks english and will tell you many interesting information about Oman... Beautiful place, stunning views and very attractive price :) We will remember it for a long time!
We stayed for 2 nights. This is a perfect camp for the real desert experience. There are only 3 tents, so it’s very private. The bed is super comfortable and the tent is very spacious. There are no other camps in sight, even from the tallest dunes in the area. In contrast, most other tent camps are in crowded zones, where there are a lot of other camps in sight and vehicle traffic. We had the whole desert to ourselves day and night. A very special experience. Salim the host was very accommodating in true Bedouin style and was happy to ensure all our needs are taken care of. Getting to the camp is dunes bashing style, very fun. He gave us a tour of the desert. We saw 1 day old baby camel and drank fresh camel milk. It was amazing experience!
A fabulous night in the desert, fantastic dunes. Salem is a very thoughtful host making sure everyone was comfortable. The food was excellent. Highly recommend it.
Great!! While looking for a proper camp for our stay we went through many reviews and finally we found this camp with interesting reviews. We decided for this camp and it was the right decision. So, if you are looking for a real desert experience and not for a big , crowded resort,if you want to see a colourful desert with really high dunes, impressive sunset and sunrise, then the Clouds Desert Camp is the right place. You will be more than satisfied.Only 3 tents which gives you the feeling of privacy. No noise,no other camps around. The tents are beautiful, traditionally designed, comfortable and clean. The beds are very comfortable. Each tent comes with an additional unit with WC,shower etc.Simple but clean and in good condition. All you need is there.Salsm, the host is amazing-professional,polite,friendly.He offered us a free ride through the deserts to see his camels which was amazing. We appreciated his company very much and the conversation with him was a real pleasure. The contact after booking is smooth. If you don't have 4x4 car you will be picked up for 10 omr for the ride to the camp and back to the meeting point. This ride is already a big fun. Moreover, you will be offered a free water ,tea ,coffe ,fruits which we didn't expect. As for the meals we didn't try because no need. But most probably there will be a possibility to buy it at the camp. The offer and dune bashing. To sum up:we are very happy with the stay there and would recommend this camp warmly!

The place is near the boarder of desert. It was our first experience with desert and we appreciate that we did not have to drive long way. The owner was extremly kind, speaks Englisch. I think he would do everything possible on the earth to make our stay pleasant. As it is - the desert has no electricity. The owner supplies powerbank to re-charge the phones. There is very weak mobile signal - an adventage. You are not going to be stressed with the messages from the peopel.

Best location in the Wahiba sands.
We loved everything!!! The location and the size of this desert camp make it an ideal place for those who enjoy the peace of the desert. Salim is an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for two nights in this camp and had an unforgettable experience, from peaceful desert photoshoots to a delicious BBQ with Salim, from learning Arabic to "hanging out" with the cute camels. The bed and the tent were comfortable and we received complimentary snacks, tee, and delicious Omani coffee. I highly recommend staying with Salim at the Clouds desert camp.

I highly recommend staying overnight in this camp! It is located off the beaten track, next to a very photogenic dune - you can't see or hear any road or other camps. The camp is very intimate - only three tents. The host is very friendly and tries to make guests feel comfortable. He fulfills all your wishes, you just have to say it :)) - all typical attractions are available on site. We have great memories. Thank you!
Everything! Salim, our host, was so kind and made our stay wonderful despite very challenging conditions. We arrived just after a (rare) heavy storm when the wadi was raging before the desert. We were going to drive ourselves, but he insisted on collecting us and, as we were early, took us dune bashing and to see his camels - very cute! My two boys loved sliding and climbing the dunes. Our tents were beautiful - well furnished, very comfy beds, small but very clean bathrooms. Food was delicious and plentiful - including for my vegetarian sister. The location was stunning - on top of dunes with fantastic views and no-one else in site - so incredibly silent! Salim told us stories and lit a camp fire. Unfortunately it started to rain after we had gone to bed and became so heavy the tent leaked but Salim came back, collected us all up and took us to stay with his family. Nothing was too much trouble and he went to great lengths to make us feel safe and comfortable! Breakfast with his family was delicious and then he drove us back to the desert for us to slide down the dunes - fantastic fun. The trip was full of unexpected surprises - the weather - but was the best desert trip we have had and we will be back.
Nothing!
There are many camps out there with many good ratings. 9+ ratings with many reviews isn't unusual to see when looking to stay at Wahiba Sands. I guess that -in general- it is fairly easy to be impressed with the surroundings and a camp in the desert. I travel a lot and personally I have over 400 bookings on this platform. When searching for accomodation in a new place I do my research throughly. We read many many reviews of several camps before we decided to go stay here at Clouds Desert Camp. Salim currently has few reviews. However we decided to stay here because; *uniqueness: it is clear that his camp offers a unique "staying in the desert with the Bedouins" experience. *size/quietness; Other camps are bigger and therefore noisier (other guests doing dune bashing or the sound of AC units of other tents). Salim's camp is small and far away from the other camps or the villages bordering the wahiba sands. The nights were dead quiet here. What a bliss. *remote; by being 10km into the Wahiba sands his camp is far enough away to have starry nights without light pollution. Other camps are often nearer to the edge of the Wahiba Sands and therefore more affected by the night pollution of the nearby towns. Salim went out of his way to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. There is still cellphone reception so you're not entirely disconnected from the outside. However, to be "disconnected" from daily life for a night or two is probably one of the greatest plusses of a stay with Salim at his Clouds Desert Camp. Thank you Salim, we hope to be back! Arne&Johanna
The best camp on the Wahiba sands desert. Far from the city and the other camps, in the middle of desert, perfect localisation. Nice, spacious tents with comfortable beds. Very good dinner and breakfast. Resonable price. Very nice and helpful owner. Offers pick-up and othe atractions. Thanks for nice staying.
Amazing place, super quiet, far away from civilization and in the middle of the desert. All was perfect, and Salem is an amazing host. Just to meet him and talk to him was a pleasure. He showed us his camels, night market and his house when we can dress in traditional beduine clothes. He looks after us very well and this place is much better than any other big resorts. He offers an additional 4x4 transport if you have 2WD only.
All was great.
The host was very nice and personable. It was obvious that he cared for the comfort of his guests. We had a great time walking out and exploring the dunes. Many great places for pictures. Also, the dinner (lamb) was terrific!
We stayed one night at this camp managed by Salem. We had a delightful experience, from sunset to sunrise, alone in the middle of the dunes. There is not a single camp in a 10 mile radius, and Salem has made everything to make our stay truly amazing. From dinner to breakfast, from the tent to the mattress and the shower, there is nothing to change. Salem’s hospitality is also the best representation of Omani’s people, staying with us late at night to share tea and campfire while telling us stories about Bedouins and Oman.
Nothing
Amazing desert drive to arrive to the camp just before sun set. Service is just incredidle. Incredidle privacy. Our second comp in this area and by far the most incredidle. Highly recommended
Best stay we ever booked! If I could, I would give this place 12 out of 10! Of all the stunning places we visited in Oman, this one was the most special one and we still miss this camp, Unlike most of other camps, this camp is on top of the dune, away from all the noise and city lights which gives you amazing views of the night starry skies. The tents are big and beds are super comfortable. The food is DELICIOUS, really well done to the cook, we ate so well. Mr salim is extremely kind and generous. We spent a lot of time talking about the desert, culture, its people... also the activities you can do are great and we 100% recommend them. We did camel rides for sunset and dune bashing. Thank you Salem, for showing us around! You cannot go wrong with this camp. I only hope that one day I will be able to go back and visit this camp again. Highly recommended.
Family of 4 have a great experience at Clouds Desert Camp. Good location away from city and other camps , friendly staff, delicious food . The tent was big and clean , very comfortable. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We enjoyed the sunset-sunrise views, the dune bashing, and my kids left very happy with camel ride. Very affordable and acceptable price compared to other camps prices . Thanks, Salem, for a great desert experience. I highly recommend this camp to anyone visiting Oman's Wahiba Sands.
Wonderful tents with also nice bathroom.with good water pressure. Nice traditional furniture, it feels like genuinely local. Salem is super welcoming and relaxing host! The beds were very very comfortable
Everything was good!
Everything was Nice. The food was delicious and the desert looks Amazing, not a crowded camp, just 3 tents. Nice staff.
The desert mouse ate a small piece of my bag, Maybe it’s better to put your stuff on the table next to the bed.
