The room configuration is unconventional but still works. The bed/mattress was harsh on our backs.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026The apartment exceeded my expectations. Very cozy, near the city center and many restaurants and sound proof. Marcello welcomed me when arrived and explained everything to the best the best trip which changes from the usual « automatic check in we usually have in other vacations ». I stayed for 5 days and I will definitely come back for a longer period. The neighborhood is so homy, I get to know the fishermen, and locals in the market just nearby. Marcello ensured I got everything I needed during my stay and also adjusted for my check in and check out . He is what we call in French « quelqu’un de chaleureux » 10 out of 10 no doubt !!

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026The bright, airiness of the apartment. It was simple, stylish & great for what we needed. Parking station across the road & walking distance to everything. Great vibe. Excellent deli downstairs to try the treats of Italy. Really enjoyed our stay here.
The only tiny negative thing & honestly it's nothing was that it was just a bit dark going down the stairs outside of the apartment to get to the ground floor if you didn't take the lift.

The host is very welcoming, he gave us recommendations and left gifts from the shop downstairs which is awesome, they have many specialty products and tables where you can sit and taste products, tapas and excellent sandwiches with a glass.of wine. The whole family works there and since it is located right at the beginning of market, the vibes are perfectly local. The apartment is great, views from the balcony are very relaxing, there is good working ac. It was clean and spacious with good wifi and Netflix (although you wont need it because Ortigia is by far the most beautiful place on Sicily). We will surely come back!

Fotky jsou totožné s fotkami z webu. Z apartmánu je výhled na celé městečko, lokalita parádní, všude blízko. Určitě doporučuji jít i do La Salumeria hned v dome ubytování.

Lo único es que la ducha está diseñada sin puerta y el agua sale fuera, encharcado el suelo. No obstante tampoco es tan incómodo. El resto del apartamento es muy práctico y acogedor.

Schlimmer Gestank aus Abfluss von Dusche und Bidet, WC-Bürste verdreckt/ sieht schmutzig aus. Problem des stinkenden Abflusses selber mit einem nassen Handtuch über Duschabfluss gelöst, ebenso mit feuchten WC-Papier den Geruch aus Bidet-Abfluss. Danach konnte man sich in der Wohnung richtig wohlfühlen, war perfekt. Regelmäßiger Austausch der WC-Bürste sollte eigentlich im Preis inbegriffen sein ...

При входе в дом (главный вход )есть неприятный запах. Но, я думаю это потому, что дом старый и это не относится к апартаментам. Я держала все время окна открытые и все было хорошо. Больше никаких замечаний нет.

Le balcon avec vue sur syracuse , la rue et la mer etait très agréable le soir. Plein de restos, bar a proximite immediate ainsi que le marché. Un super accueil très chaleureux de marcello qui s assure que vous ne manquiez de rien..Le coin buanderie est vraiment pratique . Bref je recommande vivement ces logements et reviendrais là si je retourne à Ortigia !!! Merci Marcello pour le super accueil et la disponibilité.

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026Die Lage ist sehr praktisch. Direkt gegenüber ist das Parkhaus und direkt unter der dem Haus beginnt der Markt, wo ein tolles Lokal ist (Fratelli Burgio). Wir haben dort 2 x gefrühstückt und 1 x zu Mittag gegessen. Sehr gut!!! Generell bietet das Apartment sehr viel Platz und die Betten sind sehr gut. Die Übergabe und Kommunikation war sehr gut und Marcello ist immer erreichbar. Es gab kleine Kostenproben im Apartment aus dem "Fratelli Burgio" und auch die Zusatzprodukte im Bad waren sehr hochwertig. Danke!
Im Badezimmer müsste die Dusche am Boden etwas erneuert werden. Das Apartment ist in Ordnung, aber wir hätten ein paar Ideen: neben der kleinen Küchenzeile, wäre es gut, wenn es noch eine Arbeitsplatte geben könnte, wo man die Speisen zubereitet. Platz für eine zusätzliche Platte wäre auf jeden Fall vorhanden. Ein paar Bilder oder eine Deko an der Wand wäre nett. Das Apartment wirkt daher eher kühl und nicht so wohnlich. Aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache!

La Vacanza was the most horrible experience that we've had traveling throughout Sicily. The apartment on Booking.com received favorable reviews & the 'staged' photos were not accurate. The entire apartment smells of mildew & the ceiling & walls had paint pealing from them. The sea view was blocked by scaffolding by construction that was being done on the property. When we contacted Booking.com & the owner to complain, it fell on deaf ears. Booking.com should NOT have this property on its platform, as it's embarrassing. We paid 247 euros for this place & when asked for one night's refund, nothing was offered. DO NOT BOOK La Vacanza in Ortigia!

Dusche wackelig, nicht ganz funktionstüchtig (Regendusche) und unschöne Altersspuren im Bad, gehört repariert und renoviert. Eine dünne Überdecke zum Schlafen hat gefehlt.

Reviewed Apr 30, 2026Gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter über WhatsApp. Das Apartment war insgesamt ganz gut. Saubere Betten. Schöne Aussicht. Der Markt nebenan sorgte für eine echte sizilianische Atmosphäre.
Das Badezimmer würde auf jeden Fall eine Renovierung vertragen. Auch der Austausch kleiner, nicht teurer Dinge könnte den Gesamteindruck etwas verbessern, zum Beispiel ein neuer Mülleimer oder eine WC-Bürste.

Reviewed Apr 17, 2026The location is outstanding. Right next to the two best restaurants in the market. No noise to speak of and easy access to great food. Easy parking across the street at the big parking garage. If you cross Umberto bridge into Ortigio you can avoid all the ZLT areas and park there. Big beautiful windows in the rooms. Great views of the harbor. Apartments are spacious and newly constructed/remodeled. Elevator. Great shared laundry facility. Washer and dryer. Very nice host. Available, friendly, and thorough.
Nothing. This place was recommended to me by my sister and did not disappoint. Not as charming as some places in Ortigio but the huge view, proximity to cheap 24 hour parking, 100 steps to a fun deli/bar, all the building and apartment amenities, and the comfy beds made it the perfect choice for our family of 8. Good value.
