The pots are old , cutlery is old , bedding is old and looks like a boy rooms bed .there is hairdryer but no plug for it , the coach was dirty and the towels were old . The only thing nice about it is the location , other rooms are up to standard but not this particular one , they need to up their game because it’s not old pupils that occupy their spaces .

The apartment was cosy, the water pressure in the shower was amazing and the stove was efficient.

The room smelt terrible. There counters were dirty. When I went to check the bed, the duvet inner was broken and all the filling was on one side of the duvet. The head board was dirty as well. Some of the kitchen utensils were broken and the only cloth in the kitchen smelt like mould. I had to wash it myself just so I could wipe counters before starting my cooking. When I checked the cupboards, I found a black bag with damp linens and towels from the previous tenants, which I think is ridiculous. There was no toiletries when we arrived and had to wait till the next day for someone to bring some. I would think twice before booking from an external host again.

The room itself was dirty, the host posted many decent and presentable rooms, with one hidden photos of a unpleasant room, after complaining by the host of the conditions of the room and he only responded the next day, that room was not fit to accommodate guest we had to leave without a refund and no place to go after, leaving us stranded the next day the host showed us a hidden photo of the unpleasant room, I actually took videos of the condition but booking.com isn’t giving me a video option

I stayed in room 710 the bed is soo hard and tiny very uncomfortable to sleep on woke up everyday with body ace. The was a smell of weed every single day of my stay there it was very unpleasant 💔, also the room is very small and the bathroom even worse the sink is so tiny you can’t brush your teeth properly.

The fact that we stayed for the first time it was nice and clean , we booked again for the following week , we got the same room but the locker code was not working , when we told the staff about it they told us we need to WhatsApp a number and we need to wait only because they never changed the locker code and it was the same one from the week before

We stayed in 3 different apartments at "The Tokyo" Great place, Amazing friendly staff BUT only when you book with Totalstay.

The last apartment we booked at The Tokyo was over "Home next door" Very very dirty and in very bad condition.

1st thing the host wasn’t reachable at all. No kitchen cloth and soap,Tv remote broken the rug on the floor is warned out,old towels and certains and the bedding was just not clean.Bathroom licking just terrible 😞

The apartment is generally good in terms of location, as it is close to everything. However, it needs some improvements. More attention should be given to cleanliness. I noticed some stains on the bed sheets and a few small marks on the walls, which detail-oriented guests will notice. Additionally, the bathroom sink is very small and not practical. I hope it can be replaced with a larger one. Also, the neighbors were quite noisy, and there was a strong smell of cannabis that seeped into our apartment on a daily basis.

The towels were horrible won out, not tonight pillows in the bedroom, the cover for the coach was old and soon out, I won’t recommend that place at all to anyone I mean the one ply toilet paper really had to go purchase my own

I had the most amazing stay at this hotel over the weekend. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel was incredibly neat, tidy, and spotless, which made me feel comfortable and relaxed right away. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Every interaction I had—from the reception to the service agents—was pleasant and professional. They truly made me feel valued as a guest. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the view—it was absolutely breathtaking and made the whole experience even more special. I found myself just taking it all in and appreciating the peaceful atmosphere.

Honestly, I can’t point out anything I didn’t like. Everything about my stay was perfect, and I genuinely had one of the best experiences. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

The property is very clean and the host provided all the information and assistance with anything. The property is located in the most desirable part of town. It is very attractive and super clean. We had all the utensils and cutlery we needed. The bed was so comfortable and the view was very nice/

I have nothing against the property except that i had to park in the street. The restaurant patrons occupy all the parking slots.

Room wasn’t soundproof - although I specified many times & asked for a quite room higher up due to light sleeper - no rest Hotel staff not welcoming especially at arrival - I didn’t enjoy the vibe . Mattress wasn’t comfortable, 1/2 was ok only . No luggage storage on site but at a different location & price not included . No shower at roof top to wash off pool water .

The property is located at Loop Street which is a very strategic place around Green Market Square and Long Street. The room is very cosy and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The room is on the 15th floor and I had a nice view over CBD. The pool is located on the rooftop which is easily accessible via the stairs from the 15th floor.

The AC didn’t work as I expected. It was a centralized AC and the lowest temperature was 26 degree. I would suggest to include a fan in the room.

My husband and I stayed here and it was such a lovely break away from the kids. The apartment has everything you need and truly feels like a home away from home. It’s cosy, clean, and very well kept. The security staff were so helpful and friendly, and we really appreciated the strict access control — it made us feel safe and relaxed the whole time. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again.

Lille værelse med stort køkken som vi ikke skulle bruge. Badeværelset alt for lille og vasken umulig at anvende. Sengen er elendig. Madrassen alt for gammel og brugt. Man kunne mærke fjedrene i madrassen. Forstår ikke at man bruger så meget plads til et stort køkken når der næsten ikke engang kan være to personer.

The roof top pool was cool and the location

There was old food in the fridge the door handle was poor felt it was gonna fall off at any moment .the balcony was a window .the internet was awful couldn't even watch Netflix. The shower glass door was hanging and didnt close properly . I stayed at the habitat around the corner 2 weeks before for almost half the price the room was bigger the internet worked the room was cleaner the staff were more helpful the location was the same .I felt as if I was mis-sold because the advert on booking com said private pool so I thought it was on the balcony its very misleading .I doubt i would go back and im jot really a fussy person highly disappointed and frustrated I paid so much for the room

I liked the rooftop pool, restaurant and fyn. However thjs Airbnb IS NOT PART OF THE TOKYO HOTEL. So you won’t be able to get a lot of help from the staff. However the staff were friendly.

The apartment in the hotel is in a very noisy vicinity in Cape Town City Centre where clubs and lounges will only close at 1:00 A.M. and 4.A.M. The room on arrival was not prepared. A bunch of smelly wet towels in a pillow case in the closet. No clean towels, no blankets, just the inner on arrival and no extra toilet paper. Bathroom light was not working on arrival. Mattress was hard. It needs to be replaced. However they did manage to put a new lightbulb in the bathroom the next day, toilet paper, and remove the smelly wet towels from the closet. They only clean after every 2 days, they will mention it when your booking is approved so keep in mind.

The swimming pool was really nice. We asked the host for a full-length mirror and she delivered. The hotel is at a very convenient location in the CBD close to most of the activities.

Check-in was not smooth. The receptionist seemed quite unbothered, and we ended up being assisted by the security personnel who was multitasking, which made the process slow and disorganized. We even had to contact the host directly to get basic information. I would have expected a proper briefing about the property during check-in, but this did not happen. The hotel itself felt very stuffy, and the corridors had an unpleasant smell, making the environment uncomfortable. Housekeeping was also a major issue. During our 5-night stay, the room was cleaned only once and only after we requested it. The host later mentioned that cleaning is done only once for long-stay guests, but this was not clearly communicated at check-in. On Sunday, we returned to an unclean room and were told cleaning would be done the following day, which did not happen. It was only after following up again that we were informed that the one-time cleaning was complimentary. Had this policy been communicated from the beginning, we would have been willing to pay for additional cleaning, as no one wants to clean while on holiday.

Friendly staff! Host was always available have me a bottle & vouchers for my bday. Very thoughtful. It’s literally next to all the hot spots.
