I liked the location and the pool bar the beds were comfortable.
Where do I start, to begin with having someone pay $20 to park per night for a room they are already paying for is insane..second the over weight security guard was hovering and it was just my husband and I we were not doing anything one night he asked 4 times if everything was alright then was knocking on our room door asking yet again totally unnecessary my husband left the door cracked to get ice which was right across the hall the guy was obnoxiously about his job. Thirdly, I asked the front desk what housekeeping's job was since they never did anything and we had to ask for towels and for them to sweep since there was sand from the beach on the floor. I'm not one to complain I just couldn't get over the few things that went wrong..oh right if they run out of the parking they charge you $20 a night for you have to park in an overflow lot like a block away its dumb..the bar at the pool has a good happy hour with cheap drinks and decent food so thats something to commend lol
It was located at a great location close to restaurants, inches away from the boardwalk, walking distance to a theme park and miniature golf!
It was exceptionally good, but it could have had small tables on the balconies and the pool areas.
The staff were amazing. The pools were awesome. The Hook up bar and grill food was amazingly delicious 😋
I liked everything!
Location Cleanliness
I liked where it was at the location
I didn’t like it because they did not say about paying to park when I booked the room for the week til we get there n have to pay 100.00 dollars to park
No breakfast
They charged us 20.00 to park for three days total 60.00 . Elevator sounded like they were gonna break down .Afraid to ride them alone
Nice room close to everything pricey though
When we arrived our bathroom was used already by someone very gross
The location
The parking spots were limited near the hotel and extremely tight to park . The pool staff were not friendly especially in the evening
Location
Not updated and I had chewed gum on the floor I had to pick up…could definitely be be cleaned much better, unpainted spots on the walls, had to wait for towels and go to the front desk to get them myself, front desk staff not knowledgeable , not forthcoming with information for new guests, and not customer service oriented
The location of the property
The room was very Old looking & out dated.. Room had a weird smell 2 it.. The thick piles of dust that were in the corners of the floors and in the bathroom under the sink & on the walls near the floor was a bit disturbing.. A true DEEP CLEANING of that place can go a long way!!
The whole experience I will be sending a letter to corporate
It’s close to the boardwalk.
Hotel was dirty. Toilet paper and towels were hard to get, like pulling teeth from a baby.
We had the King suite with the pool view. The room accommodated our family of 6 very well!! The spa tub was a big hit with the kids. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return, though next time I think we'd try the ocean view.
The thermostat in the rooms can't be turned down below 70, the room got to be very warm at times especially at night. They should keep a broom in the room, even after rinsing off your feet/shoes from the beach the sand seems to get all over the floor, I wouldn't have minded being able to give our room a quick sweep! The parking is the worst part about this hotel. They don't tell you at check in that you may not find a parking spot in the garage. We kept driving around, then when you leave the garage you have to go all around the block again because of the one way streets. We had to park 2 blocks away in another parking lot.
I liked the layout of the suite as well as the pool/restaurant combo.
The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan and the room, while cool enough, was extremely humid.
Location
It needs an upgrade , everything is older, used and needs to be replaced. Found bugs in our room and woke up with bites on my arm.
It was nice staff was 👌
Close to beach room was fairly clean
I have been staying there for years and never had to pay$$ 20 00 a day parking!! I never read anywhere or was i notified of the charge until I checked it!! Iam not happy losing $$$$ 60.00 more dollars from my budget
Right on the boardwalk. Can't beat that!!
Parking isn't great but doable.
I like the fact that they had King suites that had two king-size beds. The location was great because it was right on the boardwalk so we were able to walk to a lot of different things.
The parking was horrible. You only got one parking pass so if you had a big family and had to bring more than one vehicle, this is not the place to stay. The staff was OK, but I could never understand a word they were saying because they were foreign.
This property is in a good location!!!!
Needs more maintenance like stove or refrigerator overall kitchens stuff
2nd stay here, good location. The pool bar has good food. Beds comfy
Expensive property for dirty rooms. Didn’t have our floor cleaned the entire time. Refrigerator was defrosted prior to check in, was leaking the entire time. Next door neighbor was evicted at 11pm, police were there right outside our door until almost 1am while they packed, couldn’t sleep that last night at all.
The location was convenient and close to the boardwalk, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of our stay.
The overall experience was very disappointing. The room was dirty and had a very unpleasant smell. The bathroom was also not properly cleaned and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was unacceptable. On top of that, the front desk staff was rude and unprofessional, which made the experience even worse. Check-in was not until 4:00 PM, and after waiting that long, we expected at least a clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had, and I would not recommend this hotel.
Location was good. Rooftop pool with bar and grille was good.
Rooftop pool was always insanely crowded at all times. The hotel has some kind of ventilation/moisture issue - there was a bad smell as soon as you got off the elevator and continued into rooms. There is damprid canisters everywhere but they dont help. Totally understand being at the beach and struggling with moisture but this is not being managed well. The room was ok in size but the overall condition was poor. The couch in our room was awful. It looked like it had been chewed on by an animal. The arms were frayed and one had a big hole in it. There was rust everywhere- on the vents, balcony, ceiling, lamps. bathroom - basically anywhere there was metal. The balcony was a lot smaller than we realized. And with the amount of rust on the bottom of the railing it didnt feel safe especially with kids. There is only one elevator so everyone stood in line for usually 5+ minutes. I am allergic to mold and became pretty sick by day 3.
The only good thing about this place is the location
Staff...bright lights on the balcony ALL NIGHT that staff refuses to turn off. We weren't the only room to complain about it and it was so bright it made it unusable. It's dirty (we had to brush our feet off before crawling into bed because the floors are so dirty) but some how it still smell like bleach?..mandatory $20 parking when it's already an expensive room...
It was clean and very close to the amusement park side of the boardwalk
The bathroom is very outdated and the room had a moisture smell to it.
Everything is close to the room, I love it.
I didn't like the stay on the second level, I wanted a stay on level 5.
Location
Old, not kept up nicely, cleaning was minimum. And everything seemed to keep breaking. When we checked in the AC didn’t work. Took well over two hours for someone to finial believe me and come up. And the refrigerator didn’t work. Lost half our food.
Location on boardwalk and friendly staff. The pool bar/restaurant was very good.
I stayed at Tidelands when they first opened, before either swimming pool. Granted, that had been several years ago but there is much needed upkeep since then. The electrical outlets in our bathroom and behind our bed were half falling off or clearly missing the protective plate which could pose as a fire hazard. The fencing on the ocean front balcony next to us was so weathered, it broke, causing a potentially dangerous situation for a young teen. Check-in wasn’t until 4 which caused a lobby filled with people, who were waiting for the ONLY elevator which was extremely SLOW.
Great space and location!
I loved everything.
Good location, spacious room, easy to get in and out of.
Could use a thorough cleaning and updates - for example the bathroom floor has some moldy spots, the baseboards r cracked, the bathroom sink is clogged.
Close to everything
Some updates needed
The view and location
The parking is bad and the maid survive sucked.
Super friendly staff, building smelled really clean & great location.
Bathroom was dirty, AC was leaking, room had a weird smell first day, TV stopped working, all of a sudden you have to pay for parking daily.
I loved the view, hotel pool and restaurant/ bar was amazing!!
Definitely could have been cleaner! The room had a smell of bug spray. No toilet paper upon arrival. No do not disturb sign was given to us either. There was only one elevator and most of the time you had to wait in line to use it.
Great location. The parking on site. Clean room. Nice and friendly staff. Stove, microwave, refrigerator worked great. Balcony with beautiful view. Jacuzzi. 2 king beds and giant sofa bed. Spacious rooms. Good smell. Clean pool with nice bar and tasty food.
I have 0 complaints
On the boardwalk
Having to park 2 streets away from our hotel and then having to pay.
Everything little pricey for the food but everything else was awesome.
Room service pricing the guests of the hotel should get a discount. They should upgrade the refrigerator if guests staying for a week heck even 3 days the fridge provided holds nothing and freezer is so packed with ice can barley fit freezer packs in to keep cooler cold for what the fridge can't hold. Plus when kids are guests should consider having a kids channel on the tv for them to watch when in the room like nickelodeon. Or even switch to smart tvs. Then guest can cast to the tv. And watch whatever they want.
The booking was without breakfast
The location and staff
The location. That there was a place to rinse your feet from the sand. That there was a pool that didn't have a bar.
The 1st room the toilet was clogged and broke. The 2nd room the ac did not wotlrk. The whole place smelled like weed but we were threatened to be kicked out and fine for 1 cigarette on the porch. Some of the staff were great others were extremely rude!
We liked the location of the hotel and the room configurations were nice for a family.
My husband and I each ordered a shot of Peach Crown at the hotel bar, which was around $10 per shot. What concerned us was that the bartender poured both shots below the bar, completely out of our view. After tasting the first one, we both thought it didn't taste like Peach Crown. To give them the benefit of the doubt, we ordered a second round and intentionally left my shot glass on the bar, expecting the pour to happen where we could see it. Instead, the bartender again poured the shots below the bar. About an hour later, both of us developed pretty significant stomach issues. Those two shots were the only alcohol we had consumed that day, which made the experience even more concerning. While I can't say for certain what was served, the combination of the hidden pours, the unusual taste, and both of us getting sick afterward left us questioning whether we were actually served what we ordered. At those prices, I expect drinks to be poured in plain view. The lack of transparency made the experience feel misleading, and because of that, I would not recommend the hotel bar.
The only positive was the location. It was close enough to everything that we didn't need to move the car
The musty smell throughout the entire building. The worst housekeeping I have ever experienced. I had to ask for wash cloths 2 days in a row because they only left towels and no washcloths. They also forgot to leave an extra roll of toilet paper. Luckily I was next to the supply closet so I was able to grab a roll myself. Also they never once swept the room during the 4 days we were there. Again I had to go to the supply closet myself and get a broom. Oh and no pool towels at the pool. There was a sign that read please leave pool towels in the bin but there were none. AC rattled all night and the bed was hard as a rock. This place was way over priced!
Location was close to ocean and board walk.
The room was a little dirty.
The location was excellent! Steps away from the beach and being on the boardwalk was awesome. Lots of good places to eat were walkable! Staff is very friendly and helpful. We liked the pools and pool bar.
There is only one elevator in the hotel building. The wait was long at certain times of the day and congested where it’s located. Also, there was no cable in the room so not much to watch on TV. Parking is definitely an issue. There are 2 garages for both buildings. They fill up quickly. If full, you have to park a block away at the overflow lot. That was inconvenient.
The staff was friendly. The restaurant on site was GREAT! The staff there were AMAZING! The convience to the Boardwalk was a plus!
The room smelt like mildew. The room we stayed in needs to be upgraded. There were bandaids on the bathroom door handle. The floors were sticky. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. We had a suite and expected more appliances and utensils. Mold in the tile. We could smell Marijuana in our bathroom. Having to pay for parking after paying a ridiculous amount for a musty room. I also wasn't pleased that non guest were allowed to use the pool at the bar. The pool is small enough and anyone can use the ammentities that were paid for by the guests. Noone was saying anything to those people who were bringing in coolers and outside food.when there was clearly a sign. By letting non guests come in caused for the paying guests not to find seats to use the pool that we paid for to use. While I understand they need to bring in revenue for their new restaurant and bar, the non guests should not be able to use the pool. They should have to sit in the bar area or inside.
Loved the location, and the bar and restaurant employees were very friendly. We even stayed an extra night. The balcony was always nice and peaceful to sit out on.
close to the beach and on the boardwalk.
price did not represent quality
Only problem was getting enough towels for 5 people. If you take 5 dirty towels and wash clothes, you should replace the same amount. Had to tra k down maid or even when to front desk just to ask forbthem.
Right on the boardwalk, if thats what you want. Pools and buildings are spaced out too much
Rooms were dirty, facilities not maintained.
Es un espacio grande estaba limpio y la ubicación cerca de la playa
Slow elevator, hard beds
We arrived early and they allowed us to check in and get our parking pass in advance to the 4 o’clock check-in time. The two beds were separated from each other.
Upon arrival, we were reminded multiple times that there would be no refunds if we were to leave early. That should’ve been a red flag for us. The card reader wasn’t working at check-In. There weren’t enough luggage carts. Room service was trash. We booked a hotel for six people, and we got three sets of towels washcloths for the whole stay. The ice machine on our floor wasn’t working. There were fights in the hallway. There was mold in the bathroom. The room temperature could not be regulated due to the AC freezing up. Parking was atrocious. Had to park two blocks away from hotel even though we pay $20 a day for parking. Pools were small and always crowded. The whole fourth floor had a smell that burnt your nose. While on our way to the pool bar to eat, we saw a cockroach run across the floor so we decided not to eat there.
The beds were comfortable. The location was fine.
1. Mold covered bathroom 2. Outdated facilities 3. Dilapidated baseboards throughout room 4. Cleaning staff was forgetful and not thorough 5. Wallpaper in bathroom was bubbling 6. Floor was covered in sand, food from prior guests, and who knows what else 7. Bathtub was a jet tub that was inoperable and looked like it’s never been cleaned 8. Stove burners didn’t work properly 9. Doors wouldn’t shut properly and couldn’t lock bathroom door 10. Pool was too small for amount of people using it as rooftop pool was broken
Great location. Comfortable beds. Hot shower. Clean pools.
Only 1 elevator. They only clean the rooms on Wednesday and Friday unless you request 24 hours in advance. However thos would not prevent me from back.
No nos dieron desayuno
El control de tv no funcionó
Large room/ suite. Close to the beach. Easy check in. Friendly staff.
Kitchen had few utensils-- 3 knives and 1 fork. Lots of plates, 1 bowl.
The bed was comfortable
Paid parking & 20.00 per night Ice machine not working Floors were dirty , stains and lot of dirt Bath tub has black mold
Staff was excellent, great location. Management was a huge help to us in moving us and getting room in order.
Hotel is 2 separate buildings, building on street is not staffed 24/7. First room was dirty, management moved us and 2nd room was better but still had sand on floors and hair in bathroom. Management sent someone to clean it and rest of stay was much more relaxing. Also not enough parking and the extra parking lot is a block away.
That it was close to the beach and the boardwalk, has a pool and a bar as well
Location, room size
Bed to firm
Location is great if you want to be near boardwalk shopping and boardwalk fun. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were not super comfortable but not the worst. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.
The two pools were small but nice! They kept them clean and the poolside bar was awesome. The balconies were beautiful, even on the city view side which I don’t usually get. King size beds were comfy. But the location was probably the best part! Right in the middle of the boardwalk.
Definitely more than I’ve ever paid to stay 3 nights at the beach before, but the quality wasn’t any more grand than your typical beach hotel. Definitely needs some upgrades. The pull out couch was really old and tattered so we didn’t even use it. The jacuzzi tub had cracks in it and didn’t drain very well. Housekeeping was confusing. Nobody came to the rooms until we asked, so if you need anything make sure you ask. Additionally, the kitchen was not well stocked at all so make sure to bring anything you might need if you plan on cooking. The coffee machines take the flat coffee pods, not regular coffee filters or k cups.
The staff was outstanding. The food from the pool area was really good and the drinks were also very good. Atmosphere was nice around the pool area. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and I would go there again.
The hotel was a bit out dated. A little inconvenient having to go back and forth to the different buildings to get help. No place to shower off sand from coming off the beach in the building we were staying in, only at the main building on the boardwalk.
Great location staff was friendly
Need a little more attention with cleaning rooms
Staff members were helpful, pool and restaurant was a plus for the kids and adults
Ocean view
The floors were really sticky, had to clean the floor with water and towel
loved the pool on the rooftop, housekeeping everyday. My battery died and a maintenance guy was able to give us a jump and told us where thhe nearest auto zone was. Great help.
The umbrella at the table at the pool was broken
Overall good
Bathroom was ok
I like that it’s on 5th street
Pool staff are not the greatest drinks are over priced for the size cup they use and our room wasn’t sufficiently stocked for 4 people with them knowing 4 people will be staying in the room.
The location, staff and the room
The pool on the second floor could of been kept up better water was very cloudy
Rooms were cleaned Great hospitality Friendly staff
Good location
Need to fix your elevator it was terrible. We were on the 4th floor and it took forever to get there
Room had mold and bed bugs. Had to move rooms several times after driving 9 hours. Finally last room was ok.
Dirty!!!!
The pool with the pool bar was nice that’s about it.
Barely any hot water, the ice machines half are broken you have to go around to all the floors to find one that works. Not the cleanest inside our room lots of dust and mold in the vents. Definitely has gone down hill over the last few years. Charged me 20$ a day for parking when I thought parking was included
The location was good, within walking distance to attractions and fast food. The room was very nice.
The parking situation was horrible as well as I had to pay extra fees for our vehicles to not be towed. This is quite unusual in my traveling experience. The staff was not very knowledgeable nor were they at ease with the English language. Asking directions was confusing and frustrating; directions of where the additional parking areas were located. Nothing that should have been difficult. The machines to encode the keys were not working which caused a delay and moving from one building to another just to get into the room.
I liked having the kitchenette. I like that the staff had my parent's room next to mine and they considered the mobility issues of my parents by giving them a slightly larger room to accommodate a walker.
The balconies are small. There needs to be screens in the sliding doors leading to the balconies in case guests want fresh air by having the sliding doors open without the risk of flies entering the room. I suggest updating the sofa or use slipcovers that can be washed. I further think that the morning cleaning crew should be aware that they can be seen relaxing in chairs while on their mobile devices in the rooms that they are cleaning (two males were doing this while the female was doing her cleaning).
