The Urban Westlake Apartment

The room was clean and there were many cafes nearby. The owner was very communicative and friendly.

The bathroom made a high pitched sound after flushing for a while. The place was a bit tricky to find and online orders did not come to the property as it was hard to find.

The laundry facilities were a massive pro meant I didn’t have to worry about finding outside services They had a fridge They were right next to a coffee shop The staff were really friendly and answered all my questions over WhatsApp Room was a decent size Felt safe

I could hear whenever anyone was coming in or out of the property wasn’t soundproof atall Cockroaches++ outside the property I NEVER SAW THEM INSIDE but worth noting if you’re screamish On the day of checkout a staff member opened my front door to my room at 8.15am unannounced?? I hadn’t checked out yet and had the property til 11 I don’t think it was the cleanest smell of sewage from the drains in bathroom and bed sheets don’t look very clean no mosquitos in the room but I did wake up with bites on my legs on the days I stayed there? It’s by the west lake so you will need a grab to get into city centre

The location, design and comfort, and the super helpful and welcoming host!

Good value for money and very convenient. Excellent communication with host.

There three flights of stairs to climb to our room although our host carried my bag up for me. Very helpful.

Very easy check-in and check-out with constant help through WhatsApp.

Amazing hosts - they were very attentive and fantastic communication. Room itself was lovely, very clean and spacious.

Communication was perfect Complimentary laundry service Easy check-in / check-out Friendly host

Very friendly hosts and it was as described.

Nothing

Nejpříjemnější personál co jsem kdy zažila. Snažili se splnit všechna naše přání a se vším nám poradili. Pobyt jsme si velice užili

Good service and overall solid room for the price

Very loud neighborhood

Everything!!!

Internet was bad, but the owner told me that it will be fixed soon!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Hanoi. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were always welcoming and helpful

The rooms are always clean and tidy, providing a comfortable feeling throughout the stay. The friendly and attentive staff make the experience at the hotel a great one

The location was easy to find. The property might charge 3% more if you pay by credit card, which wasn't their problem. I wish Booking.com could fix this issue because it results in a surprising fee! Or at least, letting the hotel mention on their pages.

The facilities needed some more improvement.

Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations from the comfortable bed to the warm hospitality. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Everything was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff made me feel so welcome

Nice location. Small but very comfy for solo traveller.

Phòng decor đơn giản mà rất đầy đủ tiện nghi, giường êm nên ngủ thoải mái. Vị trí gần trung tâm

Very polite and kind personnel, convenient location

Poor internet and might be a noisy due to construction works outside

✅️ Simple and modern room. Big praise to the lady Ha Viet. She did a great job and was always available via WhatsApp, especially when my partner was not feeling well due to illness. ✅️ The location was still great for us, with Grab you can get to your destination quickly and cheaply. ✅️ There is good coffee in the area for all coffee lovers. All sights are also within easy reach (via Grab) Thank you Ha Viet for your help 😁

The cleanliness of the property The friendliness of the owner

nice stay, the owner was so helpful and friendly, helped us on everything we needed the room was decorated nicely and clean. the location was near the coffee shops & the lake just a minute away which was perfect.

Room was comfortable, clean and modern. Staff were very helpful and accommodating when messaged via WhatsApp. Located in a quieter area of the city which is nice.

The bathroom floods a little when taking a shower.

Clean and comfortable , lovely staff, very helpful and accommodating.

Appartement was very comfy and well decorated. The owner was super kind and helped us a lot. It's a bit far away from old city but it's also an experience for you can really live among local people you can find some nice cafés around and walk around west lake.

The manager was friendly and responsive during the day. The bed was comfortable, and it was convenient to have access to a washing machine downstairs.

The cleanliness could have been better, and there was a strong smell of coffee and humidity in the room. It was much more worn out than it looked in the pictures, with visible humidity on the walls. The room was dark with no proper ventilation. The manager was unavailable after 8:30 PM, so I couldn’t reach him to get the WiFi details. I also didn’t like the location—it felt too far from the center and had a bit of an odd atmosphere.

The studio was clean and ideal for a solo traveler, with fast WiFi. Although it’s an apartment, they generously provided free towels, toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and shower gel. I also appreciated the free potable water tank in the hallway. The highlight of my stay, however, was the free-use washing machine and tumble dryer in the hallway, along with complimentary laundry detergent. Communication with the apartment owner was smooth—she reached out a day before my arrival to confirm my arrival time and provided the entrance code to the main building and WiFi password. When I called her with a question during my stay, she answered immediately. An attentive host like that truly enhances the experience of booking an apartment.

One small improvement would be adding hooks in the bathroom for towels. Moreover, the apartment is not fully soundproof, contrary to its listing on Booking.com. While the apartment building itself is relatively quiet, a noisy and inconsiderate family lives in the alley next to it. One night at 3:00 AM, they left their doors open with the television blaring, making the sound clearly audible from my apartment. I woke up and struggled to fall back asleep because of the continuous noise. The next morning, they started shouting and playing loud music at 7:30 AM, with the noise coming straight through my window. However, if this family stays quiet and indoors, you can expect a peaceful night's rest.

The room looked just like the photo, the space was good, and we enjoyed having a kitchenette. The design style was very nice too. We had a comfortable night sleep.

When we arrived, the room smelled very strongly of mould, and the bathroom smelled very bad also. We could see signs of the walls being repainted and the mould coming back through, so maybe they need to put a dehumidifier in the room, rather than just an air purifier.

The place is ok, not for long term stays and for those who work remotely. The staff are very kind and helpful. I would recommend to upload real photos of rooms (not the computer generated ones) then people now what to expect. Overall, if you come to Hanoi and need a place to sleep at night it is ok.

The studio apartment was very clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. I originally booked for 4 days and extended my stay there for another 9 days. I loved the location, near to West Lake and in a local area, with lots of coffee shops nearby, especially the small one in the same lane as the apartment building. I had coffee there every day. I would very happily stay there next time I am in Ha Noi, and have already recommended it to friends.

The staff is so nice and kind, the location is ideal if you want to stay away from downtown’s bustle but you still want to have good restaurants and coffee shops nearby. You can make use of the washing machine of the hotel, which was very useful in my case.

Mr Tu was very nice and helpful, gave very clear explanation to get to the apartment. The studio was decent, the bedding wasn’t too bad, the shower room is very small and combined to the loo and a sink, I hadn’t realised that. We were only staying one night and arrive at 5:30pm and left at 6am the next day for that short a stay it was perfect honestly.

The lamp on top of the right side of the bed isn’t very practical we had to put the cord around the curtain thing so that I didn’t have it in my face. Quite noisy all night even during the night but Mr Tu apologised for it and again, we were only staying one night and went out for dinner and just came back to sleep. But you can hear everything. Plus we were very tired so slept conveniently!

No complaints about the staff: they speak English, are responsive and helpful, and the room was clean. The furniture is new, and the room looks cozy.

There's a construction right next to the hotel atm, so it's very noisy starting from 7am and the window is shuttered. I'd prefer to know about that in advance. The price also did not reflect that. No shower glass or curtain It was not any kind of loft — just a regular 30m room with a kitchenette.

Was a great room, staff very helpful and has all up to date facilities, very accommodating and understanding people

Internet could be better, had some times it faltered, construction noises early in the morning right outside were annoying sometimes, but if you bring earplugs or wake up early anyways not too bad, overall these two issues are very minor and the positives greatly outweighed the negatives

Tu and the staff were incredibly kind and very responsive. Everyone I came across made me feel so welcome. Tu was waiting to welcome me and even found me in the alley without me asking as I was lost trying to find the place. The location of this modern property is in the Tay Ho district which is about 3 miles away from Hanoi old quarter. It’s def. not a tourist area, which means it offers you an authentic Hanoi life experience. There is a lot to eat and an excess of coffee shops that also serve tea and smoothies and just five minutes walk away is a grocery store with produce and household essentials. And then there’s beautiful West Lake just outside the doorstep. The room was huge and has plenty of space for my clothing and suitcases. The kitchen has a portable burner, a pot, a pan, a plate, cups, and silver ware. Theres also a hot water boiler, mini fridge/ freezer, and a microwave. The bathroom has no curtain or divider for the shower so water spreads throughout. I would recommend bringing shower shoes as it takes a bit of time for the water to completely dry.

There is construction going on next door, and though the Urban Westlake team has no control over this I feel it’s something to note. If you’re a light sleeper the construction work will wake you up. The walls are thin so you can really hear all the drilling and banging. And they work varying hours so sometimes you’ll hear it at night too. I recommend bringing earplugs to combat this.

The owner and staff were absolutely wonderful: they responded to messsages and requests very quickly. The room is small, but comfortable. The location is great as the lake is right behind the apartment. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. At night, the area becomes alive because many people flock to the area for the restaurants and cafes. There is a very good noodle restaurant and another good cafe next to the apartment. The wifi is very good for those that need high speeds: there's a router in the room and I consistently got 300 mbps (good enough for online gaming). The entire building is clean and modern. The apartment also has short term residents, so there is constant upkeep. They provide a printed guide of the "best" of Hanoi: restaurants, cafes, places to visit etc. It's obvious that the owner put a lot of thought into ensuring you have a good time. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The address in Grab is not correct, so whenever I ordered food, I had to walk a short distance to receive the items. This is not the mistake of the apartment as the correct address is not discoverable in Google Maps either (the alley where the apartment is located is not in Google Maps). I actually didn't mind the walks because there is a nice breeze at all times in the alley and it's not a big deal: the address that is in Grab and Google Maps is just around the corner. But, I mention it here because it can be a little stressful (especially for people not familiar with Hanoi). A few times, I left the apartment and found the main entrance door unlocked and/or open with no one around. This concerned me because I stored my motorbike there and it could have been stolen. Again, I don't want to blame the apartment staff for this as it could have been the other residents leaving the door open. I would have felt safer if they instructed me at check-in to ensure the door is locked whenever I open the door. My room did not have a view: the only window in the room faced the building next to the apartment and it's very close (I could reach out and touch the other building). Despite these things, I highly recommend the apartment for anyone visiting Hanoi or residents that want a weekend on the lake.

The room was clean and modern, with great storage space. The movie projector was a nice addition, perfect for rainy days or cozy nights. It was also very helpful to be able to wash and dry your clothes for free.

It was a bit challenging to find, but the staff were very proactive and even met us outside. There was some construction, but it only took place during the day while we were out.

Located outside of the old quarter so much more authentic and calm experience

My partner and I only stayed one night in the Urban Westlake Apartment but everything was perfect! The rooms are chic and modern, the location is great and the hosts could not have been more accommodating! I could not recommend more!

Nothing we were very happy!

I really like the way the room was decorated and the convenience of the location! I also really enjoyed how comfortable the room felt!

I think there could be a larger sign to make it easier to find Urban Westlake. Or there could be a sign outside of the alley that points in the direction of the apartment.

Helpful staff for giving recommendations. There is a lot of potential for this property!

newly refurbished apartment, very clean, strong water shower

very thin blanket, next time please provide thicker blanket

The room was comfort.. you get everyhting inside if you want to order food from grab, kitchen set is basic but enough..

nothing

The service was first class, the staff are friendly, polite, attentive, and will try their best to accommodate your requirements. Rooms are cleaned upon request which is good. The location is great with easy access to West Lake, lots of shops, cafes, street food, restaurants and shopping centres nearby, as a native I would recommend the location if you prefer to keep a distance from the touristy areas. Overall, great stay, thank you team! :)

Thanks to all the staff of Urban Westlake Apartment. I really enjoyed everything. This was my first time choosing an apartment at a hotel during my vacation and I was very happy. The staff also helped me book some excursions, all beautiful. I hope to return to Hanoi soon to come back to visit you, greetings from Italy!

The Urban Westlake Apartment is really convenient place to stay in Hanoi. The Staffs and owner are super kind. I stayed on 1st June till 4th of June got unforgettable experience. The room is clean and the location also restrategic. Really recommend to choose if you visit Hanoi. I will come back again.

The room was beautiful. We were greeted nicely by Nam who got in touch throughout the stay and assisted with any question we got. Thank you! We’ll be coming back for next time we’re in Hanoi.

This is a brand-new property. It is not a hotel but a private apartment with a private kitchenette inside the room. It is clean. The air conditioning is working well (This is important as now is summer in Hanoi). The wifi is strong. It has a small fridge. The hot water is working well. The hosts Ha and Na are so welcoming and friendly. It feels great to stay here after days in the bustling Old Quarter. The property is a short walk from the lake so it is great to have an afternoon walk to watch the locals and enjoy the lake.

It would have been great if there is a list of places to eat and drinks.

Stuff is really nice and helpful, everything was very clean 👍

It would be nice to do some note which liquid is the shampoo and which one is the gel

Very nice and safe area. The apartment very clean and looks exactly like in pictures. Check-in process was simple

Great location, close to other tourist attractions in the city.
