Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Nicely furnished hotel with all amenities you need: safe, coffeemaker, kettle and fridge in the room; restaurant and bar at the rooftop with nice views; nice breakfast. The room was clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is located near Omonia square, with a lot of dirt and abandoned buildings around. It doesn't feel very safe to walk around in the evening, though we didn't have any issues during our stay. The room is also a bit too small, don't expect to have a lot of space to open your suitcase.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Für rund 200 Euro pro Nacht hatten wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, entsprach für uns aber weder bei der Ausstattung noch beim Gesamteindruck dieser Preisklasse. Besonders unverständlich war die Klimaanlage. Sie ließ sich nicht direkt vom Zimmer aus regulieren. Jedes Mal musste man an der Rezeption anrufen und darum bitten, die Temperatur für das Zimmer einzustellen. War es danach zu kalt oder zu warm, musste man erneut anrufen. Das ist umständlich und für ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse aus unserer Sicht nicht akzeptabel. Sehr positiv waren hingegen das Frühstück, das wirklich ausgezeichnet war, und die gute Lage des Hotels. Beides hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Insgesamt stimmt für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis dennoch nicht. Bei einem Zimmerpreis von rund 200 Euro pro Nacht erwarten wir mehr Komfort und vor allem die Möglichkeit, so etwas Grundlegendes wie die Raumtemperatur selbst zu regulieren. Zu diesem Preis würden wir das Hotel nicht noch einmal buchen.

We didn't have time to eat breakfast because of an early flight so they gave us a box for the road which could have been improved a bit

Frühstücksbuffet zwar groß, aber eintönig und zu einseitig auf Süßspeisen, Obstsalat aus der Konserve, Orangensaft kein wirklicher Saft. Für griechische Verhältnisse durchaus annehmbar, aber nicht wirklich erstklassig. Preise im Restaurant/Bar deutlich zu hoch.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Hotel is nice and clean. Staff is amazing. Breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and big enough. It is near omonia metro station so travelling around is easy.
The location is not so good - undergoing urban renewal. You have to go by metro at least one stop to be able to reach somewhere more touristic. At least it is near to the omonia metro station because at night it does not feel safe. Rooftop bar is a new addition to the hotel, it is nice but too hot daytime. Maybe its air conditioning can be improved.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026One of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The room was clean and we really appreciated the smaller pillows that were provided upon request. The breakfast was okay. The hotel is located on a busy road, but it is quiet once you close the window.
The TV turned on spontaneously during the night and woke us up with the welcome message.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly and lovely member of staff. Our room was ready as early as 1:00 PM, which was a really nice surprise, as we were tired after the journey and were happy to be able to relax right away. The room was modern, clean, and nicely renovated. It was cleaned every day, and the water in the fridge was replenished daily. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety of options. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view from the café. In the evening, the rooftop bar is a perfect place to relax and enjoy amazing views of Athens. We were also very grateful for how kind, patient, and understanding all the hotel staff were when we struggled with English. It made our stay even more comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location, with the main attractions just a 15–20-minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens!

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Das Frühstück und die Lage des Hotels waren prima. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Hotel liegt sie zentral, die UBahn ist sehr nah. Die Gegend um den Ormonia Platz ist eher rau was uns nicht gestört hat.
Eine Duschkabine wàre toll!

The location or really the neighborhood was pretty rough. We did not want to be outside at night.

Area around the hotel has a lot of traffic and was not very clean. Safety was also questionable at times, but this is a problem for the whole of Athens.

главный критерий для нас- это чистота в номере, но в нашем номере был один грязный халат, причем, что пятно было сильно заметно и персонал при уборке его не заменил. на столе в номере ползали муравьи!!! заметили это уже за ночь до выселения, поэтому это вызывает вопросы.

L’hôtel semble neuf, tout est impeccable et de belles qualité. Atmosphère très agréable. Le roof top apporte un vrai plus avec une belle vue sur l’acropole - les photos ne lui rendent pas justice ! - et un restaurant très bien. Petit déjeuner top aussi. Accueil et service souriant et de qualité ! Nous recommandons chaleureusement !

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Soggiorno semplicemente fantastico! Il Luwian Hotel è una struttura elegante, moderna e curata in ogni dettaglio. La posizione è ottima, perfetta per visitare Atene e raggiungere facilmente le principali attrazioni. La camera era bellissima, pulita, spaziosa e dotata di tutti i comfort. Lo staff è stato davvero gentile, disponibile e sempre sorridente. Abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo anche la possibilità di cenare in hotel: ci hanno offerto un drink di benvenuto se avessimo scelto di cenare lì, un gesto davvero molto gradito. E la vista dal ristorante è semplicemente pazzesca: l’Acropoli illuminata davanti a noi è stata uno spettacolo incredibile! 😍 Anche la colazione è stata ottima, varia e con prodotti di qualità. In definitiva, un soggiorno davvero speciale, che ha reso la nostra esperienza ad Atene ancora più bella. 10 punti! Lo consiglio assolutamente e ci tornerei senza alcun dubbio. ❤️
