Reviewed May 30, 2026No breakfast. Location fine - slightly away from the main road so road noise not noticeable.
The door to the neighbouring unit was a little on the thin side with noise and coughing noticeable. Also having to phone to be let in and out at the beginning and end of the stay feels intrusive on the hosts personal time.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026We had a lovely stay at Stone Cottage over the Easter weekend. The cottage is relatively small, but well-appointed with good-quality bedding and furnishings, and large bedrooms. Friendly owners and good communication beforehand are always appreciated, and arriving at a donkey-fired hot tub already warming up was a bonus. The cottage is on the edge of Riebeek-Wes, and the valley's many attractions are close by.

No washing machine & very small kitchen with no space to store your purchases. It really is an “eat out” kindof kitchen. Everything is there to use but you have no space to actually cook or clean. Beautifully organised tho. We were lucky we had family in town and could cook at theirs. Also why is the pool out of bounds? We also had to figure out how to lock up the house keys AND get out the gates in time. Was a bit of a challenge!

Reviewed Dec 11, 2023The cottage is well designed to accomodate 4 adults, the rooms were spotlessly cleaned and the cottage smelt fresh. There is a lovely outside area to braai or have an outside lunch breakfast etc, a bonus on top is the fire heated hot tub which was a fun way to wind down from our long hike, even the neighbours cat popped around to say hi. Would definitely arrange another visit, thank you Jonathan you were an excellent host.

Well geared to help when load-shedding hits with emergency lights, a small camping stove with gas and battery inverter for the tv, charging small electronics, and Wi-Fi. The cottage was very clean on arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped to be self-catering with thoughtful touches to make the stay stress free. Jonathan and Megan were great hosts and communicated well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this little gem in Riebeek. Close to restaurants, activities, shops and Winelands, you still feel like you are out in the country. Highly recommend this stay.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2023Neat and well equipped cottage in Riebeek West. Wifi works well and there is a small backup inverter for charging led lights, your phone etc. Apartment was super clean on arrival. Jonathan and Megan were great hosts and communicated well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
