The position very convenient. Very clean Towels very fluffy. Liked the tray of goodies.

The bed was a little uncomfortable.

The spacious room was very comfortable. I really appreciated the bar fridge in the room and being able to have tea with proper milk; not had that luxury at previous B&Bs and guest houses. The location is fabulous for the town centre for sightseeing, shopping and dining out, and close to main routes for exploring further afield.

perfect location for visiting all attractions in Alnwick on foot, surrounding areas are easily accessible too by bus. The guest house far exceeded our expectations, our host was friendly and we felt like nothing would of been too much trouble should we of needed to ask for anything. The selections of teas/coffees and snacks in the room along with a small fridge were a very welcome addition and the robes/slippers were a lovely touch. our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.

My room was spotless, great comfy bed, excellent wifi, hot shower and bonus was a fridge, fresh milk and snacks. Location is perfect, 5 min walk and you are in town and there is a bus stop just beside the hotel to visit Bamburgh and other areas. Nicola was a lovely host and there is information in the room about things to do in town and the local area. There isn't any breakfast provided but plenty of cafes, Greggs, Lidl etc nearby. Highly recommend.

My room did face the main street and was a little noisy in the morning but this can't be helped. Maybe bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Nicola went above and beyond to welcome us personally and little extras in the room which Nicola replenished every day , even a mini fridge . The room met more than are expectations and would recommend to everyone to go and had facilities near by which Nicola informed us about and if we needed anything just to phone her, the price was fantastic definitely going again.

The accommodation was in a central location in Alnwick. The room was exceptionally clean and felt quite luxurious. There was everything I needed and the host was very helpful. It was good to have off street parking I had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Accommodation excellent. Quality and cleanliness of bedding and towels really good. Nicola was very friendly and helpful. Although no breakfast provided, the tea tray was well equiped tea, coffee, crisps, biscuits and pain au chocolats. The fridge in the room was a nice touch, with complementary still and fizzy water, along with bottles of fresh milk. Bathroom a very good size and it was a change to have plenty of space to put your toiletries out. Located very handily for the town and private car parking, a space for each room. Would definitely return.

Liked everything. To be really critical, it would have been nice to have 2 easy chairs, rather than 1, the room was certainly big enough to accommodate.

Big rooms, with very big comfortable beds. Excellent location to walk into town, and to the castle, garden etc. Has its own car park. Nicely stocked hospitality tray, and quiet fridge in both rooms. Great shower, and toiletries provided too.

Clean, comfortable, excellent location. I especially liked being able to park the car in the private car park and walking to other various sites, including the castle.

Nicola was an incredibly friendly and accommodating host, with great recommendations for the area. Made sure everyone was comfortable and looked after for the duration of the stay. Recommend for anyone wanting to explore the area.

The well appointede & decorated bedroom was large enough & very clean & bright. Handy for visiting the town & castle but quiet as the bedroom was at the rear of the property. The proprietor was very nice & welcoming . The bedroom was well stocked for tea , coffee, biscuits , crisps & cold milk & bottles of water in the mini fridge , which was a bonus.

Breakfast at the property would have been a bonus but maybe there wasn't a dining room to cater for that service.

The host was very friendly and kind, showing us to our room and recommending a few local spots for dinner. We were also provided with snacks, water, and fresh milk during our stay which really exceeded our expectations and was very thoughtful. I would not hesitate to recommend this guest house!!!

I cannot think of anything that I didn't like - the guest house was fantastic.

The owner of the property was very helpful, the room was lovely, clean and big, at the back so no traffic noise, tea, coffee, biscuits, crisps, milk and water left which was good to walk into, lovely place , nice quaint shops and plenty eating places, was there for a wedding at Charlton hall so nice and neat would certainly go there again😊

Perfect location, within easy walking distance to the centre of town and Alnwick castle and gardens. Room number 1 was very spacious, light and bright. Nicola greeted us and after showing us the room she shared her knowledge on the local area and some of the restaurants.

The Oronsay, is on the main road into the town, so did experience some road noise at Nightime ! However this didnt mar my stay.!

Ideal for Alnwick castle and town centre with parking. Had several thoughtful complimentary items in the room to use and eat which was appreciated.

Lovely location, room spotless and spacious, greeted with friendly energy on check in! Having the fridge in the room was a god send in the heat, coffee options and milk left in room was a lovely added touch. Will be back!

Everything about Oransay guest house was superb, Nicola amazing host, she has thought of everything to make our stay perfect . Room was so beautiful , bed large and so comfortable, slippers, dressing gowns, toiletries.All the other extras milk and water in Fridge, bisciuts crisps cakes many diffferent teas amd coffees replenished daily. Absolutely perfect will definately return. 2 minutes walk into town , amazing location also.

Daily provision of fesh milk, ground coffee with percolator, savouries and bottled water, lifted the calibre beautifully. Everything clean, comfortable and accessible. Great location for the town and the surrounding areas. The car parking was easy to use and not tight at all, as I had feared it might be!

We had a wonderful time. It was a perfect place to stay. The host is excellent. She gave us some great information about places to eat and visit. We were there for just over 12 hours and yet managed to feel we’d been there for so much longer. The facilities were excellent. We loved all the extra glasses, the fridge, the additional food items. Very comfortable bed. Easy parking.

What a beautiful home and very friendly host, Nicola. I stayed here solo and had to leave around 5am, which was accommodated perfectly. The room was very comfortable and clean, with lots of nice little extra, the ground coffee and French press was an excellent touch. The location is very nice too, and I wish I could have spent more time there. Will 100% be back in the future!

Location is very good for access to town centre, castle and gardens. Oronsay has its own parking which was very welcome for our three motorcycles. Rooms were very comfortable. Although Oronsay does not provide breakfast, there was a very welcome coffee-maker and pastry in the room. Nicola's greeting was very friendly and she provided great advice on dining and good beers.

We received a very warm welcome from Nicola when we arrived. She showed us to our room (room 1) which was absolutely beautiful. Everything was so well thought out. An enormous comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. It was lovely having a table and chairs in the bay window. The huge bathroom was immaculate with a lovely big shower. Everything we needed was provided: hair dryer, straighteners, clock, iron and ironing board and a little fridge to keep our milk and water cool. Nicola provided lots of lovely little extras too. Very nice products in the bathroom, bathrobes and slippers, fresh milk, bottles of water, crisps, biscuits, croissants and different teas and coffees. Nicola doesn’t provide meals but she recommended several places to eat. Barter Books which is just across the road just has to be visited and the breakfasts there are really good. Oronsay House is literally a 5 minute walk from Alnwick Castle and the beautiful Alnwick Gardens. And Alnmouth beach is literally a 5 mile drive away.

These certainly aren’t negatives because there is nothing that would stop us from returning. Just some things for others to bear in mind. There are a few steps into the property and it is in a busy road. However the traffic was quite light after the evening rush until morning so it didn’t affect our sleep.

Excellent location, car park on site. Large bedroom and bathroom, lots of storage in both. Fridge in the room, not noisy. Filled with bottles of still and sparkling water, and milk. Different choices of tea, coffee and snacks. Hairdryer, ironing board and iron provided along with dressing gowns and slippers. Very hot weekend and thankfully a large tower fan was provided to keep cool. Loved the keypad combination code to gain entry into the house and into your room, saved carrying extra keys around while out. I will definitely be recommending Oronsay to family and friends

We had a perfect stay here - the location is amazing, Nicola is helpful and warm, and the facilities were great. The mattress is huge and very comfortable, and the shower has good water pressure. The guesthouse is between the legendary Barter Books and Alnwick Centre, and everything was walkable for us from the local pubs to Alnwick Castle.

The location of the guest house is brilliant. I left my car in the guest house carpark and used public transport to visit Seahouses, Berwick upon Tweed as well as Morpeth. I also visited Alnwick Castle which was excellent and the Playhouse Cinema just down the road. I loved the fact you could come and go as you pleased. The refreshments were topped up daily and as well as biscuits etc. The property was quiet with a lovely comfy bed.

From the warm welcome to a wonderful room, beautifully furnished and super clean - this was an excellent place to stay.

It’s on the main road, so if traffic noise is a major issue for you, bring ear plugs. The Deluxe Double (Room 3) is at the back of the house and is much more secluded.

The room was very comfortable, more so than I expected at the price. The location was absolutely perfect; it's opposite Barter Books, one of the main attractions in Alnwick, and right down the road from the Playhouse (which serves a fantastic breakfast). The owner was friendly and communicative, and helped us with our questions.

The road outside is sometimes very loud; not so much during the night, but in the morning and evening.
