Very friendly staff ground floor room which was so spacious and comfortable. Loved it so much we have booked for next year.

We stayed there as a family of three for four nights, and we really liked the location, as it's within the town centre. Nearby, there are multiple shops and restaurants, so there is always somewhere to have a meal. We picked this specific location as it was good, affordable price with the benefit of having Alnwick attractions within walking distance. The host, Tracy, is a very lovely lady who provided us with good advice about the local must-see places, and generally told us a lot about Alnwick. We managed to see plenty during our holiday: Alnwick Castle & gardens, Lilidorei, and Barter Books. It is an excellent base to also enjoy the beaches that are not too far from Alnwick. For parking, we used the local public free car parks and never struggled to find a place, and each of them is within walking distance of the hotel. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Georgian Guest House. Our son really enjoyed Alnwick, so we will definitely return. Thank you.

The property is very central for Alnwick town centre and the castle and gardens. Tracey gave recommendations for restaurants

The room smelt musty and felt slightly damp. In the bathroom, the shower had hairs in and mould on the tiles, the shower head and water pipe were really dirty and mouldy. The wash basin wasn’t clean and had spots of foundation over it. The room had been given a cursory clean where guests would see. The guest house is in need of serious investment and needs an owner who cares enough to clean it.

Overall cleanliness. Tea making facilities not good no tea bags old sugar . Probably needs some investment to upgrade . The bed was comfy and fresh. However, behind the bed, cobwebs, and dust the outlet in the shower (plug) was horrendous. We did not use the kitchen facilities.

Location perfect central. Bed so comfy best sleep had I ages. Pillows comfy.

The room was spacious and just what we needed for the stay. It was very central to town with the restaurants and pubs just round the corner. We received a text message with all the information that we needed. I loved that. I used that text all the time for lunch dinner and tea. I would be very happy to stay here again. In case you're wanting to know how central. It's across the road from the castle.

The pillows felt a little flat and used. But that's incredibly minor. I'm very happy with the stay and the staff were great!

Sewerage smell from the toilet

The location was excellent and it was a Georgian property.

Quite noisy with guests coming in as I was by the front door. The loo when you sat on it and got up moved and the sink wasn’t level. The staff were really friendly, it was really comfy, clean and convenient. I would stay again.

Free Wi-Fi and location

On arrival the main light in our room did not work. This was fixed the next day. There were no towel rails to hang wet towels. The Shower head was not securely held due to a loose riser bar. Electric shower heater very dangerous because it intermittently supplied water at an extremely high temperature and then back to cold. The hot water for the basin never got hot. The bathroom was very small. It had no shelves to hold toiletries and toothpaste. The only shelf in our room sloped away from the wall causing personal items to fall off. Our room was also very small.

It is in a very good location, especially good for people rely on public transport- 1 mins to bus stop, and very close to city center. In the hotel you have every essential you need. Staff is helpful and quick response.

Hotel is quiet dated My room is next to the street, you can hear the buses and cars pass by. However, it is still good value of money in general.

The rooms were wonderful

The Internet was rubbish.

I was travelling with my bicycle and Tracy was very accommodating with overnight storage. The location was central to the town which was very handy.

Shower gel would have been good, travelling on a bike I needed to keep luggage to a minimum. I made do with the hand-wash from the separate toilet instead!

The booking process was easy and the location was great. The host Tracey was very friendly and contacted me directly to make sure there was someone on site when we arrived. Tea and coffee in the room and VERY comfortable beds and clean linen.

The bath sink and toilet were clean but the toilet was loose on the wall, the shower temperature was either cold or too hot as it was running and one of the bath taps couldn't be turned on because it was loose.

Large bedroom and bathroom. Shower worked great, bed was comfy. Lots of coffee tea biscuits supplied. Tracey was lovely and very informative. Alnwick is a lovely place to visit. The castle is amazing. Seahouses for fish and chips, Alnmouth for a beautiful beach. Went during the heatwave, but it was so much cooler there.

The late night noise from the Fleece pub at night. But the football was on.

Tracey was very hospitable. The position was ideal for strolling around the town n perfect for touring the area

The location was perfect. Near to where we wanted to go and see.

We found that the room needed some work to it, as the shower tray must have been broke and was stuck together with sealeant, and covered with a shower mat. The tap on the sink was too big for the sink and loose. And below the sink you can see the waste pipe which was not covered. And also the shower base wasn’t cleaned ptas the was black mildew all round it. The bedroom didn’t smell very clean, and bed linen was stained and had a musky smell.

This property is in a great prime location for the high street whether you are looking for individual restaurants or a little bit of local shopping. Get walking distance for the castle and gardens.

In the apartment where we stayed there wasn’t a set of drawers to place clothes.

Location is incredible. Perfect for local shops and Alwick castle. Also very close the the A1. Local parking was free for 24 hours and a number of car parks to choose from

Some of the fixtures and fittings felt a bit flimsy.

Short walk to town centre. Host was friendly and helpful.

Room needs new blackout blinds and curtains. It was only dark when dark out side. The blinds were broken. At dawn the light filled the room. Bed was tiny. We thought the room was overpriced.

There was no breakfast, upset by that as it’s advertised as a B&B. One only gets informed of this after one has paid.

The location is fantastic, especially for the castle, with the town right on your doorstep. There is a free car park at the top of the street, so the lack of parking outside was not a problem. The apartment was comfortable enough for our stay. The list of local pubs and restaurants provided was spot on and well worth following.

The apartment is very dated and perhaps not the cleanest. The kitchen is basic, and we had to buy our own scrubber as the one left for us was dirty. The 16:00 check in and 10am checkout can be a bit annoying if you prefer a more relaxed start or finish to your trip. Bottom line Read the other reviews first and keep your expectations realistic. The location alone makes it worthwhile.

The lady owner was fantastic at helping me as my booking was very last minute on the same day. She gave me a comfortably nice room. She helped me with my luggage too. Great advice was given where to eat. Its right in centre of town so great location.

Good location and on a bus route. Bed was really comfortable and room was quiet.

The kitchen didn't have a cooker or even a hob. Could do with a air fryer and a electric hob. The living room / bedroom had no opening window to let air in, the windows were all screed down so was very stuffy

In an ideal location in the middle of Alnwick. Off site parking just around the corner. Staff were lovely and recommended nice restraunts. Beds were clean and comfortable and plenty of storage room.

Decor was a bit tired and run down, room was freezing when we went in to the point the covers felt damp, had to use electric heater in hottest day of the year. Was a strong smell of damp coming from the bathroom and if the door to the bathroom was left open it started to stink out the room.

I liked that it was right in the centre of the town, convenient for all the amenities.

There was nothing to really dislike about it.

The staff/owner was really lovely and helpful when we were arriving late due to travelling from the midlands! The location was perfect, right near everything we wanted to do. We were sent recommendations of where to eat which was really helpful and the room was beautiful and comfy!

The bathroom was old & dated and also looks like building has subsided judging by the bathroom floor. There was no cold water - tap didn’t work so we couldn’t have tea/coffee in the morning before leaving.

The bed was very comfortable, the apartment within the guest house was a good size.

The kitchen in the apartment was not well equipped and had no instructions for appliances. The bathroom was very cold. Some lightbulbs missing. No car parking space as advertised.

More toilet roll, no shampoo, room door handle loose, didn’t see any staff so no one to ask.

A very comfortable bed, Friendly owner/manager. Free parking nearby. Excellent location for visiting Alnwick. Good access to wifi and a large screen TV. The lady that greeted us suggested several places to eat location for evening meal and for breakfast. There was good communication by email prior to arrival.

The stay was March and the room was very cold - the heating came on very very briefly and then went off again. We went to bed mid evening as we were cold. The room was clean but the bathroom tap was very wobbly and needed fixing properly - overall the bathroom was very small and very tired.

Cosy room with comfy bed in a great location! Really handy for the town, close to bus links and local shops and restaurants. Very reasonably priced too.

Amazing location, so close to towns room was comfortable especially the bed, good facilities, tv, tea n coffee etc. Very clean if a little dated. The host Tracy was lovely and sent us a text of a list of lovely suggestions to eat out.

A bit noisy from pub down the road and doors banging closed, especially in the front down stairs room. No heater or window in the bathroom so there's a bit of mould staining in the shower.

Loved the location very close to Alnwick centre with nearby free parking. Comfortable bed, great ensuite too. A TV and hot drink making facility helps on the wet evening.

No breakfast as thought. Used to be B&B and sign in picture of establishment says B&B, but they no longer serve food. Bathroom was mediocre, Hole under shower to earth, smelled musty. COffee maker was missing pieces and rusty heating element exposed. Single beds uncomfortable.

Host provided excellent information regarding facilities nearby and contact numbers. She was at the property to meet us and she agreed to an hour earlier check in. Great location and free parking just at the end of the road.

Room was very cold on check in and overnight but did warm up once the heating clicked in. Room very dated with shelves and toilet roll holder hanging off the wall. On first impression the family room had a lovely corner jacuzzi bath but unfortunately no plug for the bath so we couldn't use it plus the jets didn't work even if we could.

Property is in an excellent location for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding areas and staff member who welcomed us was very helpful and friendly.

In one room the shower room and toilet were quite cold as had no radiators. The front ground floor room was a little noisy when the early morning traffic started.

Price for Alnwick was outstanding Central location

Only downside was the shower was great but did its job no complaints really

Given the lovely bedroom, the bathroom was sub-standard - blistering paint, smelled of damp, no shower gel only a hand soap dispenser.

Fantastic location Central for town shopping, Playhouse, dining, near free car park and access to Castle & gardens ( for fabulous Xmas light show and Xmas market). Tracey was there to greet us and had popped extra heating on due to freezing weather outside so it was toasty warm. The main living/ sleeping area was just lovely and everything we needed for our night's stay. We were very happy with everything and for under £100 we would totally recommend - and return 😀
