Location was fantastic and they offered activities for a way better price!

Beds were extremely hard and the A/C was directed on your head when lying down to sleep (need it otherwise too hot), which caused one of the two a cold.

Would highly recommend this place. A relaxing place to stay in the otherwise hectic city. Lots of solo travellers here who are extremely friendly and welcoming to arriving guests. Really loved sitting and chatting to everyone. Staff were wonderful and helpful!

Everything is very well set out and very well thought of, everything is cleaned daily and all the food is freshly prepared every morning.

There isn’t a single thing that I can complain about. This place is awesome

The location is very central and convenient, with everything within easy reach.

The mattress was honestly rock hard. We booked the Superior Double Room, so we expected a bit more comfort, but sleeping on that mattress was a real struggle.

Everything was great

The staff, especially Nini, goes above and beyond for all the guests. This is the second time I’ve stayed at Saigon Chill and I came back for the receptionists! They are so helpful with recommendations and go the extra mile to help you book onwards travel, tours, etc. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There are lockers to store your bags. The bunk has a lot of storage and a rail to hang clothes. Definitely would recommend Saigon Chill for your HCM stay :)

The hostel was always clean and tidy, well maintained by a lovely staff who are willing to do whatever is needed to make your stay enjoyable. Nini gladly gave restaurant recommendations and booked day trips for me, which was amazing. The price includes a fantastic breakfast and a free beer too. Would absolutely recommend that anyone in the area stays here!

Great facilities, wonderful staff

Amazing staff, especially Nini who recommended a lot of great things to do and eat. The place is also in a great location, 1 minute walk to Bui Vien walking street.

Staff were amazingly helpful. I wanted to move out of a dorm and into a private room at 2am on my first night and the staff were so accommodating despite the late hour - they got me sorted with a private room no problem (obviously I paid the difference!). Free beer every evening was a nice bonus. Breakfast is great! Location is really central - can easily walk to HCMC’s main attractions. Easy to chat to people in the evenings!

Would have been great if there was a female-only dorm option. Originally booked a 4-bed mixed dorm and ended up with 3 boys. Nothing happened, but (i’m sure my fellow female solo travellers can understand) it just made me feel a bit uncomfortable. With hindsight I should have booked one of the bigger dorms - so that’s my advice to any girls looking to book here! Don’t let this put you off though as the staff were SO LOVELY and made it so easy for me to move rooms.

El personal es inmejorable, en especial Win: increblemente amable y amigable sin ser forzado. Se presta a ayudar en todo y dar todo tipo de recomendaciones y a dar fruta buenísima a los huéspedes 😛 Sin duda Saigon Chill tiene mucha suerte de contar con ella!!!! Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, sobretodo las camas con mucho espacio de almacenaje y organizacion e incluso perchas para colgar tu ropa. El desayuno esta bastante bien, mejorable, pero oye es gratis…. Tambien te dan una cerveza gratis al dia!!

Al ser un edificio alto hay que ir en ascensor todo el rato lo que es un poco incomodo, pero funciona bien. Me faltaron zonas comunes donde sentarse que no fueran el bar. Aun y así repetiría seguro!!

Everything - such lovely staff who really try and make you feel welcome. The breakfast is excellent + great dorms. Beds are comfortable and very private. Win + Nini feel like family now they will look after you when you come to Saigon.

De locatie was goed, aardige medewerkers, behulpzaam en prijs/kwaliteit ook goed. Wij hadden een prive kamer en dochter in Dorm. Daar had zij alles bij haar bed. Top en grote badkamer. Privekamer dagelijks schone handdoeken en bed opgemaakt. Prima ontbijt!

Let op! Soms wel een insect in prive kamer. Wij raken daar niet van streek van, maar kan gebeuren. Dat is geen tegenvaller, maar shit happens.

De werknemers in het hostel zijn supervriendelijk en doen alles om je verblijf fijn te maken! Ontbijt is goed geregeld, tours zijn goed georganiseerd, elke avond een gratis drankje. Locatie is top, om de hoek bij de strip en de drukte, waar je in het hostel niks van hoort.

De douche en wc waren in dezelfde ruimte en wat krap, maar was geen probleem, soms iets onhandig.

Dormitory room is very clean and comfortable. Staff is kind and breakfast is good.

Staff were so lovely and welcoming. The air conditioning worked well and if you like the thought of staying in the tourist hub, then this is perfect for you

Very intense location with touts at the front doorstep. The wet room style shower was humid and was hard to contain the water if you wanted to use the bathroom after the shower - but that’s Vietnam

Staff are very accommodating. The value of money is worth it.

The bed is very spacious with curtains so it’s very private, it also has a mirror and very big locker. The breakfast is very good with many options, you also have a free beer every night. I book the Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta tours from the hostel, they are very good. It has very good vibe, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing, especially Nini and Win.

I liked everything

The breakfast was great - there were many options to choose from every day, and the spread was very filling. We got a fruit platter (one banana, one slice of watermelon, one slice of pineapple, and half a passionfruit) to start the meal, then a main course of our choice (from about 6-7 options, such as scrambled eggs with bread or pho), and a drink of our choice (tea, coffee, juice, etc). I was also very pleasantly surprised to find out that we were entitled to two free beers each night at the hostel bar. Though I was unable to make full use of it due to being sick, it was great for those who wanted to sit around and chat with the other hostellers. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and happy to help 24/7. The location is fantastic. The hostel also offered a number of tours (such as Cu Chi Tunnel tours and Mekong Delta Tours) that were significantly better priced than those I found online.

De bedden waren fijn, afgesloten en je had genoeg ruimte om en spullen kwijt te kunnen. Het personaal was ongelofelijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Alles was een beetje gedateerd, aparte wc en douche was fijn geweest. De airco stond erg koud en kon niet veranderd worden van stand.

Good location if you want to be around beer street. It's walkable to most sights in central. The included breakfast was delicious and the staff is very friendly.

I wasn't into being constantly accosted by sellers while eating breakfast or "massage girls" every time I came back.

Great location in a small street right next to the epicenter of party in HCMC. Social hostel with lots of people just stepping in from the street. Most of all though, staff is absolutely lovely and helpful. Big thanks to Nini for taking us to a temple and introducing us to her belief.

I had a great stay at Saigon Chill Hostel in Ho Chi Minh City. The location is perfect — close to everything and super convenient for exploring the city. The beds were incredibly comfortable, probably some of the best I’ve had while traveling. What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and always happy to help with any questions or requests, whether it was restaurant recommendations, booking buses, or general travel tips. They made me feel very welcome and at home. The hostel also has a really social atmosphere, making it easy to meet other travelers and connect with people from around the world. I felt very comfortable during my whole stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting HCMC!

Breakfast was amazing!! Great food options. The staff Lao dai Nini and Lao lang Win were very fantastic and friendly and would help you out a lot.

There was nothing I didn’t like!

The staff are incredibly polite, respectful, and helpful. I am an American-Vietnamese on my first trip to Vietnam and they were incredibly nice and hospitable. I overheard a conversation between staff and a customer where they were debating which tours would be the best price to make sure the customer would not overpay. They will not steer you wrong. The hostel is very clean and they have free breakfast and drinks. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. The other guests were also very social and friendly. You have to ask for Cô hai Win and bà cô Nini, genuinely the sweetest and most kind people ever.

Vom super freundlichen Empfang von Julie, der zentralen Lage, gutem Frühstück bis hin zum Freibier am Abend hat alles gestimmt. Sozial, aber Chill und kein Partyhostel. Gute Mischung.

100% recommend this hostel. Not only is the location perfect, the beds are SUPER comfortable and they have compartments where you can put your stuff in without having to take up space in your bed. The highlight for me has to be the staff. Win and Nini were SOOO helpful and gave the best recommendations for food. It’s been the perfect start for my trip in Vietnam and I just want to thank them for being so friendly and welcoming 🥹🫶🏼

The people that work there are the best. This is a must to go to if you’re a backpacker.

The Location 👌 staff team especially Breakfast team, night front office girl ( not the morning girl) , rooms service team are great. The room is quite compare to location noise. Breakfast 🍳 is great and you have options to select your favorite + Fruits + Drink 🍸 Turn left from the hotel entrance excellent tourist office (Spring Tourist) for exchange currency especially with Sarah 👌best rate market at door step, and I booked a day trip with her better rates than our hostel.

It seems that The hostel owner don’t like to keep the maintenance at the right level. Operation is excellent but maintenance at lowest level. Top floor as 8th floor is Sauna 🔥. AC not good & old , WC in rooms and in the restaurant need a renovation and upgrade. If you are more than one person you can find better in the same location.

Very comfortable beds with a ton of storage, god WiFi, and located right in district 1 if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s pretty social and easy to talk to other travelers. Free breakfast is great!

I wish there were more common areas to hangout in. There is only the bottom floor which is a bar, and has very uncomfortable seating options. The bathrooms are just one big room with toilet, sink, and shower, which I find to get messy and gross very quickly.

Séjour globalement correct. L’accueil est très chaleureux et le personnel est vraiment agréable. Petit plus pour le bar au rez-de-chaussée et la bière offerte après 17h, c’est une attention sympa. Cependant, pour le prix, il est possible de trouver des logements de meilleure qualité dans le coin.

Es war sehr sozial, man hat in der Bar schnell Leute kennengelernt. Man konnte sein Gepäck lagern. Wenn man nicht wählerisch ist gibt es ein Frühstück. Nettes Personal

Wir waren im 8. Stock, gefühlt in einer Besenkammer. An meiner Bettdecke waren noch Popel und das Bad war wegen der Klimaanlage Unterwasser, das Kondenswasser tropft durchgehend. Im Gang war Schimmel. Es war sehr dunkel und eng. Nicht so schön wie auf den Bildern. Es gab nie warmes Wasser als wir da waren.

De locatie is goed, heel veel op loopafstand en om de hoek van de party straat. De service is goed, ze zijn aardig en helpen je graag overal bij. Je krijgt elke avond een gratis biertje en ontbijt is ook helemaal prima.

De privé kamer zonder raam is erg basic, de muren zijn smerig en de badkamer zo klein dat de douchekop boven de wastafel zit en je tegelijk op de wc kan zitten. Het ruikt er muf en je moet daarom wel je airco aanhouden zodat het minder benauwd voelt. Je moet het alleen zien als plek om te slapen meer niet.
