Krásné, čisté ubytování. Majitelé úžasní lidé, kteří nás dokonce vzali do chrámu, kam chodí, seznámili nás s mnichem a pomohli nám se vším, co jsme potřebovali. Snídaně byly různorodé a velmi dobré. Moc děkujeme.

Sehr sauber, ruhig, mit Moskitonetz, gutes Frühstück, schöner Balkon, viele Vögel im Garten. Und ein super Besitzerpaar, die immer erreichbar sind und einem weiterhelfen.

Für Leute ohne eigenes Fahrzeug weit entfernt vom Zentrum. Blick in die Ferne vom Balkon nur seitlich.

Breakfast was amazing and the owners were very helpful with arranging tuk tuks and recommended a lovely restaurant 5mins walk from the homestay.

Es war alles vorhanden, die Gastgeberin war sehr hilfsbereit, hat uns jeden Tag ein anderes Frühstück gemacht und war jederzeit erreichbar. Alles super.

Rymligt bekvämt rum, Stort badrum. Jag älskade att sitta i dom sköna plaststolarna på balkongen och titta på alla ekorrar och färgglada fåglar.

Alles war perfekt! Von der Ausstattung bis zur Besitzerin. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer ist sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet, es ist leise und uns hat der Balkon auch gut gefallen. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag vielfältig, lecker und eine große Portion. Wir würden jedes Mal in dieses Homestay zurückkommen.

The home was spacious, clean and bright. It was located in a beautiful area at the top of the hill that was quiet and peaceful. The family were lovely and very welcoming and willing to help in any way they could. The breakfast each morning was delicious!

The home is located in a hilly area that can be a difficult walk.

Struttura ristrutturata recentemente, pulita, camera con piccola terrazzina, letto king size con grande zanzariera, in dotazione un asciugacapelli, doccia calda (non scontata in Sri Lanka!). Presente in bagno una piccola saponetta. Proprietaria molto gentile e accogliente. Ottima cena e colazione! Strada per arrivarci leggermente dissestata, ma niente di problematico. Abbiamo pagato poco, considerato il tutto. La consiglio vivamente!

Both husband and wife are lovely host. Very accommodating and helpful We enjoyed our stay and time with them. They treat as like their own family. Location wise by tuk tuk is about 6 minutes. From their place we could hear the train sound from the Nine Arc bridge. Overall very satisfied staying here. I saw hornbill and different kinds of birds here. The breakfast was tasty and a lot. May God bless them. We will come again. The people made the stay beautiful.

So sad we only stay for 2 nights. Should have stayed longer.

Nos alojamos en Ella Leafy Homestay y fue una experiencia maravillosa. Los dos anfitriones que llevan la casa son personas encantadoras, siempre atentos y muy cálidos, lo que hizo que nuestra estancia de dos días en Ella fuera increíble. Ella cocina de maravilla, nos preparó desayunos deliciosos llenos de amor, que disfrutamos muchísimo cada mañana. La habitación estaba impecablemente limpia y además tuvieron la amabilidad de dejarnos hacer el check out un poco más tarde, lo cual fue un detalle que valoramos mucho. Sin duda repetiríamos, porque realmente fue una muy buena elección. Si estáis en Ella, este homestay es una opción perfecta.

Chamila our host was surperb couldn’t do enough to help us with getting into and out of town. Her family were very lovely also. The breakfast was fantastic and we didn’t finish eating all that was served. Also a greatTuktuk driver amalchandana3’s is worth getting he’s knowledgeable and speaks English quite well!

I stayed at Ella Leafy Homestay for two nights! Chamila and her husband Thanuja are incredibly nice people who made my stay unforgettable. The homestay is about 6 minutes by tuk tuk from the train station in Ella and therefore very quiet at night. I received an exceptionally warm welcome in the evening and was served tea and a very tasty Sri Lankan curry. The room is equipped with a large, comfortable bed (with mosquito net). There is also a small balcony with a view of the greenery. The bathroom is large and equipped according to local standards. Everything was meticulously clean. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. I ate Egghopper for the first time. That evening, Thanuja organized a tuk-tuk driver for me (also incredibly friendly) at a good price, who drove me to several attractions the next day (tea factory, the Loop, Nine Arch Bridge, Waterfall). I was invited to enjoy dinner with the family and the children. That was a particularly heartly experience for me. In the night I had to leave at 2.30 am to a pick-up in Ella for the Yala Safari. The TukTuk driver came back especially to take me there. Chamila and Thanuja did not miss the opportunity to give me a care package and say goodbye to me. I can recommend the Ella Leafy Homestay 200%!!! and I would stay there again anytime! Thank you Chamila and Thanuja and for these unforgettable 2 days!!! ♥️

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this accommodation! Everything was modern, clean, and in excellent condition. The shower had hot water, which was a great bonus! The location is a bit outside of Ella, and the accommodation is situated on a hill. We had our own tuk-tuk and it was no problem to reach the place within 10 minutes from Ella. What also made this place special was the incredible hospitality of the owner. We’ve already experienced the kindness of the locals, but she went above and beyond! She was always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist us with anything we needed. Every morning she prepared a different breakfast for us, and it was hands down the best and most delicious we had in Sri Lanka. The portions were huge! We 100% recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Just outside the room, the dining area boasts a breathtaking mountain view, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. Breakfast was a daily treat, with freshly prepared, homemade-style dishes served right on time according to my schedule. The quality and care put into the meal made every morning feel like a special occasion. While there are several routes to the property, only one is well-maintained. However, the staff are more than willing to guide you along the best path, making it easy to reach the location without relying on digital maps. The owners went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. They provided invaluable travel recommendations, arranged an affordable two-day bike rental that made exploring the area a breeze, and even helped secure a timely return trip to Colombo—transforming what could have been a 7-hour journey into a smooth 4-hour ride. Overall, the exceptional hospitality and personalized service made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a comfortable, authentic, and hassle-free travel experience.

New, clean homestay away from the busy and noisy town. Very good value for the money. Sureka, the Landlady and her husband are wonderful and really care about their guests. Sureka also offered a welcome tea to our driver, which was much appreciated after a long drive. Prompt communication through. The room was big enough for spreading out our luggage, very clean with a large, comfortable bed. Well designed mosquito net and a good fan. Balcony with chairs. The bathroom is very spacious, the shower is positioned well on one side of the room such that it doesn’t get the whole floor wet as in some other places. Nice, home cooked breakfast, something different every day. Dinner served in a nice sitting area which also has a balcony. Simple, tasty local dishes like rice&curry. Good amounts (you can always ask for more) - some other places serve so much that you can only eat part of it. Ella town is just 5-8 minutes by car or Tuk-Tuk.

The bed was super comfy and we had the Best egg hoppers so far! Everything was clean & tidy.

The road was a Little bit steep and we didnt want to Drive that way to often with our own TukTuk.

The room was extremely clean and pretty, everything was new, bathroom was also big, pretty (new) and clean. The host made us delicious breakfast - every day something different. We asked her to make a dinner once, highly reccomend! It was great taste and local experience. And huuuge amount of food! She made her best to provide us just everything that we needed. Thank you for your hospitality!

Fantastic accommodation. Super host family. Lovely breakfasts. Afternoon tea or coffee every time we returned. Loved the position away from the noisy centre of Ella....it's a little walk ( 20 minutes ish)or pick me tuktuk (5 minutes) to get to Ella...there is a nice place to eat locally if needed. The bed were probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in!! Bathroom nice...with hot water. Also a lovely balcony to sit and watch wildlife. Would highly recommend!!

We called Homestay in late evening since we were in trouble, and the family running the homestay accomodated us in less than hour. We got different breakfast every day, each one great. Our room was nice, clean, and the owners were really helpful. I would reccomend the Homestay to everybody lookimg for silent and peaceful accomodation in Ella.

Very nice room. Clean and tidy. The room has an adapter for an outlet, bathroom accessories. There is a place to park the scooter. The owners were very hospitable people, they were ready to help, and they treated us to delicious tea. We are very glad that we stayed at this hotel.

We truly felt welcomed from the whole family. The room itself was incredible: clean, nice fourniture and hot water. The breakfast was more than enough and super delicious with a variety of fruits, tea, bread and a Sri Lankan breakfast option. The family welcomed us to lovely that we would have loved to stay longer!! We can only recommend this stay to everyone as we where their first non Sri Lankan guests! They organised everything for us: a scooter, taxi and bus to negombo!!
