Hôtel Saint-Charles

The staff were very kind and helpful. Willing to hold bags on departure and arrival dates pre/post checkout. They helped identify a local pharmacy and were willing to call a taxi if needed for myself. I unfortunately do not remember his name but the gentleman with glasses and short Grey hair was amazing. He made the entire experience worth a recommendation. Something to be aware for any US persons, as I wasn't too familiar with it, is you have to leave your room card inside of a small plastic outlet clip inside the room to power the lights in the room. Before you leave you have to remove your card (so you can use it to re-enter). When you remove your card the lights turn out. This is not a complaint as this wasn't a problem, but I do want to make others aware.

The only issues I had was the dividing door between the rooms was stuck and would not close and the toilet seat was a bit loosely hinged. But the rooms were clean by all standards of the word.

This hotel is very comfortable overall. It is in a good location with many restaurants and bars nearby. The room is a bit small but it has a kettle which is very useful. The reception staff is very friendly. The air conditioning works very well.

J’ai aimé le fait d’arriver tard et il y avait un réceptionniste . J’ai demandé à changer de chambre pour être sur l’arrière au calme et ça été accepté de suite, et c’était beaucoup mieux !

Des détails mais qui sont gênants : la tringle à rideau de très mauvaise qualité ( ch 501) et un bruit pour le fermer la nuit ! Le dessus de toilette jaune et le côté de la douche pas nettoyé…

Das Hotel liegt in einem sehr hübschen Viertel von Paris mit zahlreichen Bars und Cafes. In knapp 10 Minuten zu Fuß ist man an einer größeren Metro Station ( Place d´Italie) von welcher aus man die Innenstadt und auch die Bahnhöfe Gare de Nord und Gare de l´Est bequem erreicht, zudem gibt es dort auch viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Hotel ist sauber, das Zimmer war geräumig und das Bett sehr bequem. Super freundliches Personal, gute Auswahl beim Frühstück.

De kamer is klein maar prima. Het zelfde geldt voor de badkamer. De douche was zelfs uitstekend. De receptie is 7*24 bemand. Het ontbijt is redelijk geprijsd en van goede kwaliteit. Met heel warm weer hebben we 2 nachten wat lawaai gehad van late cafégasten op straat. Daar kan het hotel uiteraard niets aan doen, maar men was wel bereid om ons een andere kamer te geven (wat we overigens niet hebben gedaan). De wijk is supergezellig en we hebben daar vaak gegeten in één van de vele restaurantjes.

Rooms are small but OK. Comfortable, nice beds. Generally room was clean.

Hotel shower however, had significant amounts of black mold along the edges and corners of the shower. This might be quite bad for those sensitive to mold, especially black mold. Towels were not changed every day so had to use slightly smelly and damp towels. Upon check-in, the hotel asked me to pay for the full six days I planned to stay, and refused to refund any of my payment when I was forced to cut my trip short by a full day. Unlike other good hotels I've stayed at, they insisted that since I had paid for the full six days, they "could not" return any of my money even though I alerted them on the third day of my stay about the fact that I would have to leave a day earlier than I had planned. No, I would not recommend this hotel since much better options are available nearby.

L'albergo è situato in una zona piena di locali e c'è rumore fino a tardi. Portatevi i tappi perché nelle stanze che danno sulla strada non si dorme neanche con le finestre chiuse.

Les personnes à l'accueil sont extrêmement sympathiques et agréables, la chambre bien équipée et la literie très confortable tout comme la salle de douche, lumineuse et pratique. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la propreté, que les lits soient chaque jour refaits et les serviettes bien épaisses changées. Le rapport qualité prix est parfait, nous reviendrons sans hésiter ( en espérant que cela perdurera).

Rien, tout était conforme à nos attentes.

We landed in Paris during a heatwave - 37 degrees - and prayed for decent AC in the hotel. We got it! Room small, but clean, in an absolutely fantastic neighbourhood full of cafes and bars, an easy metro ride from the centre - would 100% stay in this hotel again, and, in fact, plan to :-)

Rooms are fairly small, but honestly all we cared about was quiet, good AC and cleanliness! And it delivered on all those fronts. And Butte-aux-Cailles was a fantastic surprise - such a brilliant area with loads of character.

Desk clerks were very nice

A little far from the main tourist area but the metro was close.

El recepcionista de la mañana súper antipático nada agradable la verdad. Me quedé en la habitación familiar el niño pequeño se le pasó el orine pedí que cambiaran la sábana y me dijo que el niño debería de tener más cuidado si tiene 3 años. El baño un poco sucio y no me gustó que la ducha y el vater estuviesen en habitación separada.

Nous sommes venus plusieurs fois et ne sommes jamais déçus pour un voyage en famille !

Les chambres familiales sont de taille inégales et, je sais que les prix varient hors saison /pleine saison mais cette fois-ci nous sommes tombés sur la chambre la plus exiguë du lot pour plus cher. Je ne sais pas comment l'hotel fidélise ses clients mais c'est dommage :-/

Accueil au top (possibilité de check in le matin même très apprécié) Confort de la chambre et du lit Localisation dans le 13e à la butte aux cailles qui est un quartier au top. Le prix est cohérent avec l'offre sur Paris

Rien à signaler, peut-être un petit rafraichissement des parties communes rendrait l'endroit plus chaleureux et accueillant, mais aucunement dérangeant pour une bonne nuit de repos dans Paris.

4 kişilik aile olarak,4 gece konakladık.Metro istasyonuna çok yakın (600 metre) olmasının yanı sıra, merkezi yerlere Bolt ve Uber gibi alternatiflerle de makul fiyatlarla gidileceğiniz, güvenli bir konuma sahip. Paris şartlarına göre oda büyüklüğü yeterli sayılır, bir kaç metrekarel daha büyük olsa daha iyi olurdu.

Estuvimos 4 noches alojados. Las primeras dos noches, nos dieron una habitación con baño para discapacitados, en la que la ducha mojaba todo el piso. No había manera, mas que poner toallas por todos lados. Esa fue la solucion del hotel. La habitación y las camas estaban distribuidas de manera muy incómoda para tres personas Luego nos cambiamos a una habitación con bañera, que estuvo mucho mejor. Ojalá las cuarro noches hubieran sido así

Bagni piccoli, purtroppo abbiamo dovuto cambiare una delle stanze poiché c era il bagno con la doccia a terra attaccata al water, non conforme a quello che avevamo prenotato, ma si sono prodigati immediatamente per cambiare sistemazione.

El hotel es muy comodo, genial el servicio. Aunque esta un poco alejado de las atracciones principales, tiene varias opciones de metro cerca y es muy facil ubicarse

Nous avons passé deux nuits à l'hôtel. Le personnel à l'accueil était sympathique. La propreté de la chambre était correcte mais non minutieuse. Bon rapport qualité prix. Bonne situation géographique.

Hotel très agréable , calme et situé dans un quartier de Paris interessant. La proximité avec la place d'Italie ( 10 mn à pied) rend le transport très pratique. A noter la climatisation très efficace et appréciée en ce mois de juillet ...

Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Toller Innenhof.

Man sieht deutlich, dass das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen ist. Eigentlich wäre eine Renovierung nötig. Waschbecken verfärbt, Silikonfugen müssten erneuert werden etc.

una volta usciti dall'hotel c'è da percorrere un pezzo di strada a piedi piacevole visto che il quartiere è molto artistico. Prima di arrivare alla metro c'è una panetteria buonissima con possibilità di prendere anche bevande calde. Ci ha permesso di risparmiare sulla colazione e abbiamo provato ogni mattina qualcosa di nuovo.

la camera un pò datata ma comunque per pochi giorni va bene così.

Our room was small, but clean and the air conditioning was ice cold. The bed was comfortable and shower pressure perfect with plenty of hot water. Our room had a little refrigerator, which was great. The staff were friendly.

I would’ve liked a little more storage for our suitcases, but aside from that no issues.

Excellent breakfast in French scale: there are also eggs and fresh fruits. Small inner yard to enjoy the breakfast outside. Air conditioning, that worked like a dream even in the +40 celsius heath. The single rooms are located on the top 6th floor to gain fantastic Parisian views over the rooftops. The hotel is on a small hill!

Cleaning could have been done better. And also soundproofing (from the corridor, you could listen to discussions from the rooms) -- but as the hotel is tiny, this did not bother at all. We had a very good sleep every night.

J'ai apprécié l'air climatisé point crucial pour moi. L'emplacement était très bien près du métro, du RER et du parc Montsouris. Il y a pleins de restaurants tout près et la chambre était très confortable. Et point important, prix compétitif.

Chambre très comfortable, hotel idéalement situé, super petit déjeuner sur la terasse délicieusement ombragée. Personnel super gentil et très prévenant.

The air conditionning worked really well (highly appreciated during heatwave). I enjoyed my stay - the hotel is pleasant, with kind and hepful staff members. The room was clean and functional, the bed - comfy... I loved the fact that there was no carpet in the room. Quality breakfast was equally appreciated. Great discovery. :-)

It was a hidden gem that introduced me to a neighborhood I might have never visited.

Hotel confortevole e curato. Personale molto gentile. Camera e bagno di dimensioni più che accettabili. L'hotel non è centrale ma è in una zona molto carina, vivace, con molti locali carini per cenare o bere qualcosa. La metro è a 2/3 minuti di cammino dalla struttura.

Non centrale perciò bisogna tener conto dei circa 20 minuti di metro per arrivare in centro.

Chambre très petite

Buona posizione con servizio Metro vicino. Veranda interna piacevole e sala colazione ampia anche se non l’ho utilizzata.

Stanza un po’ piccola. L’Hotel può migliorare nell’allestimento della camera: un portasapone in bagno sarebbe gradito e anche la presenza in camera di qualche mensola e/o appendini per agevolare il cliente quando disfa la valigia visto lo spazio esiguo. Il frigo bar è tenuto molto basso di temperatura.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in a nice location, walking distance to restaurants and transportation. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood is very quiet and local.

We were put in a handicap room so the bathroom was meant to accommodate that. Unfortunately that meant after anyone showered the whole bathroom was wet. It made it very uncomfortable and messy. Additionally, it is not very soundproof so one of the nights we heard the upstairs neighbor doing who-knows-what nonstop into the early morning. We also faced the street and heard everyone outside easily. We also were unable to get a taxi from the hotel the morning of our flight. We tried for 30 minutes and even asked the front desk for help but they were also unable to get anyone. This was stressful and we ended up having to walk with all of our luggage to the central part of the neighborhood about a half mile away so keep that in mind when planning. No refrigerator available for leftover food.

Les chambres étaient propres néanmoins des traces de moisissure était présente sur les plaintes. Le service de nettoyage du matin nous a réveillé aux alentours de 10h00 et a toqué à plusieurs reprises

Il costo mi sembra alto in assoluto, ma purtroppo Parigi è carissima e va tutto messo in relazione al costo degli alberghi in generale...certo è che non si può tornarci spesso come si vorrebbe

Hotel was close to great bakery and small French restaurants away from tourists. Close to the train station 10 min walk and a shopping center.

Rooms were small. Bathroom needs updates. Visible mold.

The staff were very attentive. Despite the raging heat the air conditioning dealt with it well -a haven of cool. It's Paris, so the room is small, I'd expect that but sufficiently well designed to work. The terrace was lovely in the evening and we had a picnic there instead of yet another meal out, the staff kindly offered glasses...much appreciated
