The staff is super hospitable and kind. The garden is lovely. The food is local, organic, homemade and great (all meals possible). Activities are possible with aid of the host that is a lovely caring person, and tuktuk rides are possible from the place.

Se trata de un alojamiento un poco atípico, ya que está lejos de todo con lo bueno que tiene eso (tranquilidad) y también lo malo (estás aislado y lejos de todo). Si tienes algún transporte no es un problema, pero tampoco es cómodo estar a unos 20 minutos en tuk tuk del pueblo de Siguiriya. Para ir a la Roca del Leon o Pirudangala no es un problema, ya que si estás en el pueblo también tienes que ir en transporte. El alojamiento es muy agradable y el trato y la cercanía del personal ha sido muy buena, siempre dispuestos a ayudar en lo que sea necesario. Posibilidad de cenar allí mismo a un precio correcto.

Para mi, está demasiado lejos de sitios donde poder cenar y dar una vuelta. También faltaría algo de mantenimiento puntual de determinadas cosas (no importantes, pero siempre gusta que todo esté bien). De las 4 habitaciones que reservamos (para 8 personas), sólo una de ellas contaba con aire acondicionado. Pero lo que me ha gustado menos, y con mucha diferencia, ha sido la insistencia en que dejaramos una buena reseña (Prabha, lo siento, pero debo decirlo). Pero también he procurado que esto no influya en mi reseña, ni para bien ni para mal.

Prabhash and Ajith were very friendly and welcoming. The location was a little tricky but Ajith was always ready with his tuktuk to offer us fair rides. We had dinner twice at the property and it was yummy! I was also struggling with my saree and they helped arrange for a sister to come and help out. We had a good time!

Our room didn’t have AC yet so it was warm and mozzies were abound. Prabash said they were going to install the AC soon so I suppose that wouldn’t be a problem.

Hostitel a jeho personál jsou velmi milí a dokážou pro vás zajistit výlety do okolí, poradí kam a na co se podívat, jídlo bylo velmi chutné a skvěle připravené. Jídelna je ve vyvýšeném patře postavená na skále a to vše umocňuje příjemný pobyt.

We initially had only booked to stay for 2 nights in Sigiriya but ended up staying an extra night as we loved it so much!! The scenery is stunning and you can really tell that Prabhash has put his heart and soul into making this a great place to stay. Both he and Ajit welcomed us warmly and are so friendly, we really enjoyed getting to know them. They were very helpful in providing us with great advice on what to do/where to go and organising transport to/from places for us. We ate breakfast and dinner for the time we were here, and it was the most delicious homemade food we’ve had in Sri Lanka!! Thanks again for a great stay, we would definitely come back if in Sigiriya again- for anyone thinking about booking, do it, you won't regret it! We can’t recommend this place enough (photos don't do it justice how beautiful the area is) and how lovely the people are!

Nothing - everything was perfect!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Prabha Villa. The room was beautiful, clean and is located in a peaceful environment. The bed is huge! The hosts are such kind people who treated us like family, they offered to organise activities for us and gave plenty or tips and recommendations about the area. The food was delicious and so filling, we absolutely recommend the dinner! This accomodation is such great value for money and we’re so grateful to have stumbled upon it during our travels.

I don’t know where to start! I can only echo what everyone else is saying. This was one of the best stays I ever had. 10 stars are not enough to rate this experience. Biggest honor goes to Prabash und Ajith, who are the greatest hosts you can wish for. They really take care of everything and think about every smallest detail. You are welcomed by them personally giving you all information you need and not to forget always some tea with lime out of their garden. Yummy! They make sure you have the best stay ever, take you wherever you need to go with their tuktuk for a great price (no need for any other tuktuk service!) and they cook the most delicious breakfast and dinner. Let them walk you through their garden, which has so much to offer when it comes to fruit and vegetable (all organic!), let Prabash take you to the local dance show (really nice insight into the culture and a fun hour to spend!) and whatever else you desire to do. The place itself is amazing too. Off the path surrounded by nature and wonderful bird sounds to wake up to. The rooms are cozy, the bed comfortable, the veranda great to chill on and everything super clean. Definitely come here to stay in Sigiriya! If I ever come back to Sri Lanka I will make sure to stay here again!

It’s a place you simply mustn’t miss – and one you certainly won’t want to leave. Where do I begin? We spent nearly three weeks travelling around the west and south coast of Sri Lanka, staying in some truly wonderful places and meeting the most kind, generous and welcoming people along the way. However, Prabhash, Ajith and Prabhash’s father, Amarasinghe, went above and beyond anything you would normally expect from hosts at a small, family-run homestay. Don’t get me wrong – every homestay we stayed in had lovely people – but there is something about this family that makes the experience feel genuinely special. As others have said, you really do feel like part of the family. They are such warm, kind-hearted people. We honestly struggle to understand the very few negative comments posted here and on Google (only four in total, and all raising very minor points). Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some of the remarks feel rather picky, especially considering the exceptionally reasonable price for a night’s stay in a comfortable room with a good bed, a hot shower and views across a beautiful fruit garden – along with a level of peace and tranquillity I have rarely experienced. It is so incredibly quiet that, lying in bed at night, all you can hear is your own breathing and the gentle beating of your heart. When you add in dinner and breakfast, it becomes even more remarkable. I enjoy my food, but even I was defeated by the generous portions – and the dishes were varied every single day. The effort and care that go into each meal are clear to see. You are surrounded by nature: mongooses darting about, the occasional monkey passing through, and peacocks wandering by as if to greet you. It may not be the very closest accommodation to Lion’s Rock or Sigiriya, but that really doesn’t matter. Prabhash will happily arrange whatever he can for you, always making sure you’re getting good value and not overpaying.

Sigira Prabha Villa feels like home. It's a family run business and they welcome you as part of the family, including dinner chats as well as hangouts like going to the cultural centre and the safari. The villa is surrounded by amazing nature and wild life, hence it is ideal if you would like to be in a quiet area with good access to the main attractions in the area.

My favorite Accommendation in Sri Lanka! The hosts were more than helpful and accommendating. It was such a pleasure meeting them!The food was delicious and plentiful! At the end of my stay I got a little tour of the beautiful garden with a huge variety of fruit trees and spices and was sent off with a bag of delicious star fruit! Thank you Prakash and Ajith!🙏

Ils ont cuisiné tous nos petits dejeuners et diners, nous ont emmenés à tous nos lieux de visites avec de bonnes explications sur les lieux, ont organisé toutes nos excursions, et avaient toujours les bons conseils qui faisaient la différence ! Everything was perfect. You stay surrounded by many bananas and other fruit trees, which makes it very peaceful. The Host and all the staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast and dinner was very delicious.

Die Unterkunft liegt, wie beschrieben, mitten in einem Obstgarten zwischen Habarana und Dambulla. Prabha, der Besitzer, kümmert sich sehr persönlich um seine Gäste. Teilweise begleitete er uns sogar zu diversen Unternehmungen. Aus seinem Obstgarten bekamen wir Zitronen,Bananen und auch einmal-da die letzte -Sternfrucht. Auch Fahrten zu den verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten organisierte er zu einem sehr guten Preis. Er ist eine Seele von Mensch. Der Bungalow war sehr sauber, das Abendessen, welches wir bei ihm bestellten, sehr lecker und mehr als ausreichend. Wir würden ihm 20 Punkte geben, wenn möglich. Wir würden direkt wieder bei ihm buchen.

Really beautiful place surrounded by jungle. Prabash took great care of us, providing huge breakfast in cozy dining terrace. We had everything we needed for a staying. There is also a little kitty which accommodated us all the time, this place have a very nice energy and relaxing vibe.

Probably the best value for money place I have ever stayed in.. A little off the beaten track. Owners are extremely friendly and will do anything for you. Made us delicious food throughout the day (and early breakfast).

After driving in my rented tuk tuk through a beautiful traditional Sri Lankan neighborhood, I entered through property gates. Two gentlemen passed through a patch of banana trees and greeted me like long friends of my past. They hopped into the back of my tuk to guide me 75 meters through a beautiful tropical garden of many organic fruits and vegetables. In the middle of this oasis garden, my beautiful detached bungalow with large porch, comfortable fresh bed, and large bathroom, stood out as being one of the most impressively designed and cleanest stays I had in all of Sri Lanka. A powerful AC, fan and most comfortable bed you could ask for in an accommodation. The owner, Prabash, and his trusted assistant, Ajith, were two of the nicest people you could ever meet in this world. There is nothing they won't do to ensure you have an absolute perfect stay. Transportation arrangements, tea, or something to eat, anytime of day. Prabash himself, uses his mother's recipes to cook wonderful meals with ingredients from the garden at very reasonable prices. Do try the meals, as they were some of the best I had in SL seeved in a wonderful dining area. This property is a standout among the others in the area. I obviously highly recommend it.

Host is kind man and communication is agile via WA. He organized me transport from Dambulla to property. Organize me for free visit of the farm, and gave discount for transport to Sigiriya. Made me a dinner (extra charge) but he you can order it also at the site, he will make. There is no mosquitos, Internet wifi is good and strong.

Window stayed open and frog entered in my room, but host promptly came and solved it.

Die Lage ist ideal, um die Highlights von Sigiriya und Dambulla schnell zu erreichen. Gleichzeitig genießt man hier absolute Ruhe abseits des Trubels. Das Frühstück und Dinner waren ausgezeichnet – besonders das frische Obst und Gemüse aus eigenem Anbau und die daraus zubereiteten lokalen Speisen haben uns begeistert. Die zuvorkommenden Hosts kümmern sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste und haben uns auch bei der Organisation von Ausflügen mit unserem eigenen Tuk Tuk unterstützt. Hervorheben möchten wir hier auch unseren Helfer, Fahrer und Guide, der uns immer behilflich und absolut freundlich war. Wer gerne Gesellschaft hat und mit den Locals in Kontakt kommt, ist hier genau richtig. Wir empfehlen dieses Guesthouse auf jeden Fall weiter und schicken herzliche Grüße an Prabash und sein Team 💕

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour ! Les hôtes sont des personnes extrêmement gentilles et attachantes, qui ont fait en sorte que notre séjour soit inoubliable, et tout ça dans un cadre magnifique. La guesthouse est située dans un parc d'arbres fruitiers, et toute la nourriture vient du potager. Nous avons pu faire le safari-jeep pour voir des éléphants, le rocher du lion, mais ils nous ont également fait faire des tours en ville. Ils nous ont payé des glaces au lait pour le trajet en tuk-tuk, puis nous sommes allés boire le thé chez sa famille, et ensuite boire un thé avec un moine dans un monastère. L'hôte a vraiment envie de tout faire pour ses invités. Je vous recommande cet endroit les yeux fermés, merci d'avoir rendu notre séjour inoubliable !

Si vous souhaitez vivre une expérience authentique, alors vous êtes au bon endroit. Il faut savoir que les hôtes resteront tout le long de votre séjour avec vous (les repas, ils vous amèneront toujours partout...). Si vous aimez partager alors c'est idéal. El lugar te aporta paz y tranquilidad. El trato del personal es amable y atento. Siempre que quieras, te prepararán de comer y te darán mucha conversación en la mesa. Se muestran a tu lado en todo momento. Disponen de tuk tuk para moverte por los diferentes lugares de interés, ofreciéndote un buen servicio en todo momento y explicándote todo lo que necesitas saber de cada lugar.

I loved that we were surrounded by fields and fruit trees. We had a nice and clean room and especially enjoyed the breakfast. The hosts were so nice and helpful. We can recommend staying there!

Ein perfekter Ort um zu entspannen. Ein großer Garten mit vielen Früchten. Ein ruhiger, friedlicher Ort. Man wird bestens umsorgt und herzlich empfangen, es ist mehr als eine Unterkunft, es ist wie ein Zuhause. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und gemütlich, das Essen ist sehr sehr lecker. Besser geht es nicht!

The villa has a huge garden full of fruit plants that makes the view absolutely stunning and make you have fresh fruit every meal. The host is kind and friendly, they took us visiting a cute small temple the local community is building here and arrange for us a private safari. I would totally come back in the future. Absolutely recommended.

We’d love to share our impressions of staying at this hotel. We ended up here completely by chance—on our way from Nuwara Eliya to Trincomalee, we decided to stop for the night. We noticed the hotel had a very high rating and decided to give it a try. The room was exceptionally nice and incredibly clean. We’ve stayed at a lot of different hotels over the past 17 days, moving from one to another each night, so we can say with confidence—this place stands out. The bed was extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the location—it felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. The owner has his own fruit plantation, and the bungalows are set right among the trees. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They even invited us, free of charge, to an early morning ceremony at a nearby Buddhist temple. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. We also really enjoyed the dinner! And as a wonderful final touch, the owner gave us a whole bag of fresh fruits from his garden as a gift. Thank you for a fantastic stay! We will definitely be coming back.

The rooms are surrounded by a big garden, with a lot of fresh fruits that they give you everyday. And the room is the cheapest in the area. We loved our stay here and are very grateful for our time! The garden was amazing! Surrounded by banana trees right outside the room, and many other beautiful plants. The bedroom was very big! The sounds and sights of nature were so relaxing. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe there and in the company if my hosts, Prabash and Ajee. They took me on some local tours in their tuk tuk for reasonable price and I had a quite and adventure there! Food was excellent with breakfast and dinner varying and fresh produce from the garden used. I really enjoyed the live cooking on my last night! A three-night stay for me was perfect and with the host being so kind I would definitely return!!

This place is a paradise on earth. First of all the location in the middle of a banana garden is just splendid. Waking up with the view of jungle with the birds singing is the standard. And also there is a “little sigiriya”, a lake and Buddhist sputa in a walking distance. Also did I mention the lovely dog and cats. And lastly the owner is like a best friend on a trip with you. He and his colleague will help with literally anything and everything (without ripping you of, the price is super ok). He will show you around or give you tips where to go. He will show all the little secret places around the house. If you need to go somewhere he will gladly accompany you (if you want to, he will not push you into taking him as a taxi for x 1000 rupees) or he will take you to the nearest bus stop and stop the correct bus for your destination. Almost forgot the cooking. Huge homemade traditional breakfasts. Same for dinners . We asked him for a “cooking show” aka he cooked with him a traditional dinner on an open fire, we got involved in every step of the cooking using fruits and vegetables from his garden. And it was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka! Originally we wanted to stay only for one night, and we booked a second and totally changed our plans just for this place. I strongly recommend to stay here at least two nights

Someone may not like the location, it is not at the location of the sights but reasonably far. Someone may not like the overly friendly owner, if you don’t want to spend time with people this is not a place for you, (but you are missing out a lot)

They went above and beyond to plan our entire trip, ensuring we had a wonderful experience. One of the highlights was exploring the village with them, and we even had the rare opportunity to bathe in the lake and the huge pump from the Villa, which was an unforgettable experience. The food at the villa was both delicious and affordable. We were also amazed by the beautiful garden, which is filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. Guests are welcome to pick and enjoy them at any time, adding a special touch to our stay. The live cooking experience was another highlight, and it was incredibly affordable.We enjoyed a unique and authentic Sri Lankan-style dinner, followed by a fun karaoke session and dancing The villa itself is surrounded by stunning scenery, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff also arranged a tuk-tuk ride for us to Kandy, which was reasonably priced. We always used their tuk-tuk service because the rates were fair and reliable. We will definitely return to Sigiri Prabha Villa and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful, authentic experience. Best place ever! The nature is Just so peacefull and beautifull around you. You are literally surrounded by banana trees, papaya trees, jackfruit, and so many more beau fruits and flowers, rice field a lake and a beau rock you can watch the sunrise on. Its a very magical place that i truly love. The food you eat mostly comes fresh from their garden and there is also a possibillity to cook food together in a nice traditional way its just special. The two hosts are very friendly people and after a few days i can truly call them my freinds cause i already love them to much! they truly have hearts of gold. They arranged a safari for us with a discount price, brought us to a spa place as we asked, and brought us to Sigiri pidurangula to view lions rock you can see they do this from the heart and not just for the money so i can highly recommend this place they gave way more then i expected<3

We had an amazing stay! The hospitality of the owners was outstanding, and the location, surrounded by nature, was perfect for a peaceful getaway. We cooked Sri Lankan food with them, that was amazing. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Wonderful and place to spend vacation.we were warmly welcomed by staff member.They are soo Friendly and helpful..we went around the village by there tuk tuk. They bought us to many historical places and wild safari too..we had cooking session during our stay which was extremely new and wonderful experience for us..Their food was soo delicious and worth of money we spent.Compare to other places here we found thi place cheeper but exceptional from the service.Overall we had wonderful and excellent experience..Place was Amazing..Eco friendly..Staff was Superb...Worth Of Spending our money here..

یه ویلا وسط یه باغ با انواع مختلف میوه‌ها که توسط پارابها اداره میشه، خیلی فرد خوش‌اخلاقی هست و تمام تلاششون رو میکنن که به مهموناشون خوش بگذره، بسیار گرم و صمیمی برخورد می‌کنن. از لحاظ تمیزی خوبه و برای رفتن به سیگیریا جای مناسبی هست. پیشنهاد می کنم.

به خاطر شرایط ویلا که توی باغه حشرات توی اتاق میان که خب طبیعیه. با آب حموم مشکل داشتیم. آب گرم و سرد جدا بود و نتونستیم تنطیمش کنیم.

The stay in Sigiri Prabha Villa was one of the nicest experiences of our time in Sri Lanka. The host Prabash was very friendly and took us around the surroundings to see wild elephants, sunrise and show us beautiful religious and nature sites. We spent much time together all for free. The food was delicious and the rooms very nice and clean. We ended up staying for 3 nights instead of one.

What a wonderful stay and I was so well received! First, the men picked me up from the station by tuktuk, after which they took me to the accommodation. I arrived in a large room and was offered food and drinks. We had a nice chat on the patio and I was offered a free tour! But first we got up early the next morning, because next to the accommodation you can watch the sunrise in a beautiful way! Afterwards I got a super tasty tea and we went on to see Lions Rock. Afterwards I was also taken to spot elephants in the wild! An incredibly cool experience and we had a lot of fun. In the evening, a local dinner was prepared for me, which was also very tasty and afterwards we had a nice cup of tea during a pleasant conversation. I would therefore like to thank the men very much for all the service and hospitality they offered me. ❤️🙏🏼 It is highly recommended to stay here!

Everything was good!

Very good service was provided. Very friendly staff. Very free and beautiful surroundings. It is very convenient because it is very close to Sigiriya and Pidurangal.

Words cannot explain how amazing was our stay. Fantastic location with a breathtaking view (you can see the rock and lake view from the villa). We had dinner and breakfast in this structure and those were the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The place is run by a beautiful local family and they were so nice to us. They also set up a Safari in the Eco park near Habarana for use. Overall they treated us like family members. This is simply one of those places you just can't miss. Super reccomended!
