Very disappointing experience. The property was significantly different from what was shown in the Booking.com pictures and description. The room had a damp, moist feel, the bathroom was not clean, and there was visible rust on the shower and jet spray. Overall, the property appeared poorly maintained and the cleanliness was far below what we expected. We also did not get the early check-in we expected, and there was no proper or secure arrangement for keeping our luggage, which meant we had to carry it around with us during the day. The condition of the property was so uncomfortable that we checked out within about an hour of checking in and did not stay for the day. This was one of our worst accommodation experiences, especially considering the significant difference between the actual property and what was presented in the listing. I would not recommend this property unless its cleanliness, maintenance, and overall standards are substantially improved.

The location was really good. Although it is little far from the town but the views from the property were amazing and also the dorms were clean and comfy with a good social gathering

This is the best hostel on the entire planet.I think you won't find such good staff anywhere else,and all the people who come here get transported to a completely different world as soon as they arrive.You won't feel like doing any work here.You'll forget all the worldly pleasures. Mr. Thapa, the manager here,is very cool and adept at handling every situation with ease.And the chef here,Mr. Thampai,knows how to make at least 20000 different dishes.If you're lucky and Mr. Thampai is in the mood,you can even hear him sing. Despite having such a wonderful hostel,if you have a problem that Mr. Thapa can't solve,there's a night manager named Mr. Emmanuel who you can turn to.He can solve any problem,even the biggest and most complex,in 30 seconds. There was also a community manager named Rishika.She was incredibly multi-talented.She could sing and speak in 13 languages.I was saddened that after spending 20 days in this hostel,I didn't get to see her on the last day I checked out. And the route to this hostel is also quite impressive. Especially if you're traveling by bike.The road is so smooth that even if you drive with your eyes closed,you'll reach the hostel directly.This hostel is like heaven,and the road leads to it.

Worst experience. We booked standard room and was provided without cleaning. Hair in the bathroom, broken lights, unnecessary statue like a store room. Staff were not responsive. We need to give multiple calls for any ask. The worst part is power disconnect for 3 hours and dirty water in bathroom. After raising voice, staff got some bucket of water from nearby hotel. Unprofessional staffs. Altogether very worst. Not worthy of 500 too.

The vibe, the co-residents were chill. Met many new people. Bonfire arrangements were quite nice.

The location is just pathetic. Too steep a climb to get to anywhere (nearby food/grocery shops) Limited food options at the in-house restaurant. Late service response. At times the staff was quite rude. Auto-rickshaw drivers quoted higher prices just because of the location of the hotel.

The place is quite far down the hill, making it difficult to access the market easily. The staff was not very helpful and often seemed cranky when we asked for anything. There were no activities planned, and even after inquiring, they mentioned they weren’t aware of any. The kitchen staff was also rude. Additionally, the common space closes at 11 PM, which was quite disappointing-it defeats the purpose of staying in a hostel.

The location was both a positive and a negative: it is out of Munnar and overlooks tea plantations (but see below negative). The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The restaurant served good food which is lucky because there's nothing else around it. The room rate is decent, too.

You really need a scooter to stay here and when I arrived, it turned out all scooters had been booked in advance and so I had to get autos everywhere. There's no restaurants near the hostel so you need to go into Munnar to eat, or eat in the in-house restaurant which was actually good. There also wasn't any hot water on any of the days I stayed- the water boiler gave a lukewarm spurt of water for about 15 seconds. And the beds are so close together that it is difficult to open your under bed storage. Finally, the hostel had a weird vibe - it felt as if the staff were bothered by you asking questions or ordering food, and parts of the hostel were rundown.

Good affordable, clean stay, great atmosphere and crowd. Very nice location and amenities.

The staff is very pleasant and helpful, and lots of excursions organised, which is good, because it is difficult to go around Munnar without a private vehicle. The food at the restaurant is very good. Also, the common room at the top floor is amazing, with great views. The beds are comfy and the female dormitory room was spacious.

The reason of my low rating is mainly because the running water at the bathroom was very dirty, like brown colour. The cleanliness otherwise was decent. Also, the location is not very ideal, it is down a steep hill, and some tuktuks won't go there to drop you, which is a bit inconvenient if you carrying your luggage, and also nothing around to eat (minimum 15min drive to reach the closest restaurant). Otherwise, it is not bad at all. I was supposed to stay there for a night only, but at the end I stayed for 3, because I couldn't find any better options at this price nearby.

屋上からの眺めが良く、ゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。食堂のメニューは豊富で、食べたものはどれもおいしかったです。ビールは街で調達するしかありませんが、食堂でテイクアウトして、屋上でビールを飲みながらの晩飯が最高でした。

メイン道路に出ればローカルバスにすぐに乗れますが、そこまでの登りがきつい。

To be honest the installation of the hotel where not what we expected. It looked like they haven’t had maintenance for long. But when we complained about it they where very kind.

The building is a bit old, and not very cosy. There is very loud music in the dining area?

Der Ausblick war wirklich sehr schön. Ich hatte auch eine gute Zeit, das lag aber hauptsächlich an den tollen Menschen die ich dort kennengelernt habe.Teile des Personals waren nett. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker.

Die Lautstärke kann einen den Schlaf rauben. Die Angestellten achten nicht so genau auf die Ruhezeiten. Mein Zimmer war direkt unter dem Gemeinschaftsbereich und es war unmöglich vor 0 Uhr zu schlafen. Auch hat man den Eindruck, dass dem Großteil der Angestellten alles egal ist. Im Restaurant muss man auch Geduld mitbringen.

Toilet flush wasn,t working! Inside smoking wss occuring, everything was very very expensive,not justifying the value to be honest! Food was okay okay, for 300 rs u will get okay okay food!!

I stayed in a private room and it was so dirty. The bathroom had a massive patch of black mould on the ceiling and smelt very bad. Nothing in there had been cleaned for a while (make up all over mirror, dust everywhere, general uncleanliness) the bedding had stains on it so I asked for it to be changed, it got changed to different bedding with stains on it.

Warm water is not a thing (as usually in India), the beds are old and they really move a lot. The hostel is down a hill, so to go out you need a tuktuk ir to walk 5' in a mega uphill. But you can go walking to cool viewpoints (2h).

The location is nice with a great waterfall hike where you can swim and dive into the falls just next to the property! Nice rooftop with a gym and workspace area good for remote workers. Food is nice.

The hostel being so big doesn’t lend itself well to a community feel, it also felt the staff are disinterested in the guests. With little to no help offered when we’d ask questions, plus any tours or activities planned never seem to actually happen.

Las instalaciones son nuevas y cómodas. Está muy limpio. Las áreas comunes muy espaciosas y con muchas opciones de ocio. El personal fue muy amable. La comida estaba muy buena.

En ocasiones, la música en el restaurante estaba demasiado alta, no era muy agradable. El agua caliente se acababa en seguida.

Monkey tribe has my heart!!! From smooth check ins to super cosy dorms, fun activities to incredibly scenic views - this place offers it all. All staff members at the hostel were quite friendly and made socializing very easy for us. I made it there for new years so that elevated the whole experience! Their tree net on the terrace was the highlight for me - sat all night long stargazing, uff! Very well connected and food is great too! Definitely coming back for more!!!

El mesero muy cordial y amable, el hotel lindo, buen ambiente en la terraza

El recepcionista con muy poca predisposición a ayudar, se le pedían cosas, decía q lo haría y no daba ninguna respuesta, queda muy lejos y complicado de llegar, dejaba de correr agua en la noche, sin agua caliente, la cocina cerraba temprano y no podías acceder a té, café, o tazas para poder hacerlas uno mismo.

La ubicación por estar en el medio de los valles, con acceso a ruta, colectivo a centro de munnar. Los espacios compartidos del hotel son muy lindos. El restaurant es muy completo, buenos precios y excelentes opciones. El personal fue muy amable. Ambiente joven, relajado.

The restaurant has a lot of options and is both tasty and price worthy. Really nice to have since the hostel is a bit away from the city.

The door to my dorm was a bit crooked so it was a bit difficult to open and close. However a very minor detail.

L'extrême gentillesse du personnel, toujours prêt à aider, que ce soit pendant le séjour, avant ou après. Les repas au restaurant sont excellents. Les chambres et salles de bain sont nettoyées tous les jours. Les matelas des lits dans les dortoirs sont confortables..

Le temps d'attente dans le restaurant est long. Mais il suffit d'arriver avant tout le monde.

It was a wonderful stay at the Monkey tribe Lovely hostel, the beds were so comfy, I slept a lot...a true holiday.... extremely helpful and nice managers. Location is a little off the city, good for an escape...surrounded by tea gardens. But autos and cabs are available through hostel reception. They also help you book group trips if you are solo. A must visit is a place called Punarjani Ayurvedics for Kerala massage as well as traditional dance form shows like Kalari and Kathakali. Food in the restaurant is THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS HOSTEL!! Overall an amazing stay!

Globalement un bon hostel. Situé en contrebas de Munnar, la vue est imprenable mais compter 20/30 minutes de Rickshaws pour rejoindre les activités de la région. Le gros point fort de cet hostel sont les parties communes faites pour les rencontrés et les échanges.

Funky building with an incredible view. Big private rooms and good quality food for a good price.

Not very sound proofed. I was kept awake late by the music from the roof top even though it said it should be quiet from 11pm, noone really observed this. The restaurant is good but the opening times are dubious (not ideal when you're trekking at 8:30am) and the system they have for ordering can't really keep up when it's busy so I had a 90 minute wait for food.

The rooms were clean. The room sizes were decent. The view out of the balcony was good. The location was a bit tricky but nice. The vibe was nice. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Maybe the check-in experience? If they can early check in, it will be better rather than waiting at the reception and uploading my ID. I don't have much complaints other than that.

The route to the place is really tough. We had to walk uphill/downhill to get there, and sometimes there weren't any vehicles available.

It was the best place to stay for solo or with friends.The property manager Thapa and momo was so welcoming and good.They tried their level best to make our trip memorable by arranging all thr facilities.They suggested all good places to us to explore munnar.

Well maintained and modern hostel with European flair. I really liked the common areas with billiards etc. Also, the hotel staff and manager were super friendly and helpful.

Location is very remote, without a Tuktuk or own scooter etc you're only left with the activities from the hostel or a small walk to a waterfall. For everything else you have to walk along the crowded and dusty main road.
