Quirky property with fabulous roof terrace. In excellent location in Haarlem close to train and shopping. House was clean. Expert at spiral staircases by the time I left. Probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Perfect location, near to everything but still peaceful in the evening Roof terrace was lovely, unfortunately due to the heatwave we were unable to use it!

Stairs in the property are not for the feint hearted!

The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring the area. Communication with the hosts was easy from start to finish, and they were always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Check-in was smooth, and overall we had a very pleasant stay.

The only minor issues were that the bathroom was located downstairs, which meant quite a bit of going up and down throughout the stay. The property was also a little dusty in some areas, and there wasn’t quite enough toilet paper provided for three guests. Since the booking was made through Booking.com rather than Airbnb, our expectations our a bit higher. Other than these small points, we had a great stay and would happily recommend the property.

We absolutely loved our stay at Het Pakhuis Haarlem. The location was absolutely ideal, so central yet tucked away from all the hustle and bustle, very quiet and peaceful. 10 minutes from the station and 2 minutes from the main square. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved having the roof terrace, my husband loved watering the flowers up there in the evening! Everything was very very nice.

It didn’t matter at all for us (apart from the slightly scary task of getting our huge suitcase up the stairs!) but the stairs up to the bedroom are steep and a little scary, and the stairs up to the terrace are even steeper and scarier! But you just have to be careful, we managed everything fine.

Loved the private roof top garden and the location.

There is no toilet on the 2nd floor where the bedroom is - only a shower and sink. You have to go down a steep, twisting staircase in the middle of the night to go the bathroom. This was the major surprise - that and the bed didn’t have blankets that covered the whole bed - it was a blanket for a twin bed, but on a double bed meant for two people. Also didn’t realize until the second day the thermostat for the entire apt was on the first floor as it was chilly the first night.

Towels are pretty basic . Would be better if there was a toilet upstairs & a sink in the bathroom downstairs but we knew that upfront .

De locatie, het dakterras en de complete en sfeervolle inrichting. Het voelde echt heel huiselijk, met mooie dingen om te bekijken en veel spelletjes en leuke boeken. Het bed is goed en op het dakterras is het verbazend rustig zitten, zo midden in de stad. Sowieso was er weinig tot geen geluidsoverlast in de woning, heel fijn. Er was ruim voldoende beddengoed en handdoeken aanwezig, top!

Hoewel van tevoren bekend, is het toch jammer dat er wel een kookgelegenheid is in de keuken maar dat deze niet is aangesloten. Verder is de slaapkamer nog steeds heel licht ‘s morgens, ondanks gedeeltelijke verduisteringsgordijnen en luxaflex. Voor mij geen probleem, maar manlief vond het minder ;-)

Great location, fantastic room and facilities and loved the roof garden!

The property is well located, a 10 minute walk from the Station and 5 minutes from the Central Square. We had a major misunderstanding on the availability of the roof terrace which was dealt with quickly and amicably once it came to light.

Its not clear from the description or photos that the property does not have a conventional bathroom. Rather there is a purpose built area in the bedroom containing a shower and basin. This is separated from the sleeping area by a curtain and acts like a wet room in that the whole floor gets wet when the shower is used. There is no toilet upstairs, this is downstairs just off the living room.

History and charm of the apartment. Care and thought with amenities, good quality and taste throughout in our opinion.

Fantastic location in the beautiful town of Haarlem super central to everything. Nice, comfortable space. Good communication. We were able to arrange a slightly later check out. Great cafes, bakeries and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Jumbo is just around the corner. Highly recommend as a place to stay in Haarlem. Train station is easy walking distance.

The bathroom needs better ventilation and /or a door that closes. We would have liked to use the terrace roof space but we were there during a heat wave so it was just too hot - an umbrella for shade would have been good.

Een ruim en mooi authentiek appartement. Genoeg benodigdheden om je mee te redden voor een paar dagen Haarlem. Erg rustig en stil ondanks de zeer centrale locatie.

Als ik iets moet noemen misschien dat de douche ruimte wat klein is en dat je het fornuis niet mag gebruiken. Dit laatste staat overigens netjes vermeld. Oh en de wifi deed het niet.

Me encantó la casa en Haarlem, muy acogedora y con todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda. La distribución es práctica, los espacios están bien cuidados y se respira un ambiente agradable. Lo que más disfruté fue la azotea, tranquila y perfecta para relajarse al final del día o tomar algo al aire libre. Sin duda, una excelente opción para hospedarse en la ciudad.

En una casa con tanto encanto antiguo es normal encontrarse alguna arañita, y el baño está distribuido en diferentes plantas, lo que puede resultar un poco menos práctico. Aun así, la experiencia fue muy buena y la casa ofrece un lugar ideal para disfrutar de la ciudad.

Fantastic location in Central Haarlem. Short walks to everything that you need

Alles is er wat er nodig is. Top locatie midden in het centrum en verbazend rustig. Heerlijk ontbijten op het dakterras.

We loved the location, right in the middle of Haarlem and tucked away behind the main building. We also loved the small roof terrace which was a sunny spot to eat breakfast. The nearby Oscar bakery baked delicious pastries. We were so pleased to stay here instead of central Amsterdam which was so noisy and busy.

It is small with little storage but we were out and about most of the time, enjoying the great location. A compromise worth making.

The only one thing that we did not like is that the toilet is on the first floor and the bedroom on the third: it's a bit of an ordeal to use the toilet in the middle of the night.

A cozy, quiet place in the center of a beautiful old town, not far from the train station. Beautiful rooftop veranda.

Wonderfully quiet yet central location. Quaint and comfortable accommodation with lots of personal touches, everything we needed for a relaxing stay in Haarlem. Host sent all necessary info in advance and check in was easy. Sabine was lovely and it was pleasure to meet her.

The apartment is amazing. Very cozy, nicely furnished and very quiet and warm. It's in the heart of Haarlem, 1 minute away from the main square, with plenty of nice restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. I just had the perfect experience here, I'll most definitely come back

Location is very nice, right in the middle of the city. Very cosy place, nicely decorated. Some games and books are available. It is nice to have warm blankets.

Not being able to cook is a minus. If we book something called an apartment as opposed to a room, we do that with the expectations that it is possible to cook. The minus is partly compensated by the presence of a microwave and an apparatus to boil eggs. The bed is a bit short for tall people.

A home from home. Unique and quirky with everything we needed plus a peaceful roof terrace to top it off. Bed and pullout very comfy!

Located perfectly for us

Wasn’t clean we had to phone them to get it cleaned. It smelt musty and unaired. Because we found it dirty we didn’t want to use the facilities. Roof terrace only available 8am-10pm as tourists we were out all day and couldn’t use it. Mirror fell off wall during our stay was only taped to the wall this was dangerous as it was in the entrance to the toilet.
