Reviewed May 28, 2026The room was excellent and clean too and budget friendly and the owner is very friendly and polite. Serene surrounding too.Good home made kind of breakfast on the ground floor where the homestay is.
My only discomfort was a 2 bedroom was converted into 2 beds as we were three people,so it made the room really cramped and wasn't able to access the wardrobe or the hangers and so there wasn't much place to keep our luggage or charge our phones and to just walk in between was also tough

Reviewed Apr 11, 2026Had a great stay at Om Lingeswaran Home Stay, Tiruvannamalai. The hotel offers very good hospitality, and the management was friendly and supportive throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained.
The only drawback is that there are no food/Lunch options nearby—you need to travel 1 to 2 km to reach the main road for restaurants.

Reviewed Mar 14, 2026Peaceful stay away from the busy main town. Hot breakfast in the morning from the nearby hotel. Prompt responses from management in whatsapp. They were able to provide an auto driver contact (Muniyan - very thankful) who picked us after the Girivalam at midnight and dropped us at the room. We had to pay extra for that but still its much appreciated since we were desperate at that time after the 15k walk.
Location was far from main temple. If you want to visit the temple multiple times (evening and morning let's say and you dont have a ride), i wont recommend this place. However, the location by itself was pleasant with no traffic or no pollution of crowd and honking. Geyser was shared with the two bathrooms. So if you have elders who need hot water and bath simultaneously, it will be challenging. There was no power when we arrived. Hence AC was not working. Thankfully power came within an hour and it was not a hot summer day. It would be concerning if it was a hot day without AC.

Reviewed Feb 25, 2026Everything is great: it's a new and very clean property managed by a lovely family. They're fantastic and helpful. You get a great view of Arunachala from the windows. Each room has an individual WiFi connection, it is fast and reliable. There is also a proper blackout curtain on every window, a rarity in India. You'll get a good night's sleep here and nobody will be bothering you.
The property is about fifteen minutes away by car or bike from Ramana ashram. If you don't have your own transport, this can be inconvenient. The upside is that it's much quieter here than pretty much anywhere else in Tiruvannamalai.

Reviewed Nov 3, 2024Room is big and clean, as good as shown in pictures. Parking available, very polite behaviour of the owner. They also arranged (on payment basis) an auto who took us to the main temple and for Girivalan.
Doesn’t has restaurant, however, breakfast is available in the same building and Zamato could be used. This thing was clearly mentioned by the owner, so no surprises .

The warmth welcome by Mr.Sudharshan and his family taking care of the guests is remarkable. They are at reach when ever you need which was beyond my expectations.
