The location.

Nothing to dislike.

Bed was comfortable and the room clean. And facilities very good. Service in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was okay, typical hotel breakfast. Eggs overcooked

Could use some TLC. The bath panel was rusty and handrails on stairs had chipped paint in many places. The food on the pub menu, especially lighter options such as sandwiches, soup and jacket potatoes overpriced and quality not great. Poor value for money.

I love this hotel, as it doesn't allow dogs in the hotel, as someone who is allergic to dogs this is hard to find . The staff are all very pleasant and helpful, The owners work as hard as the staff, which is a rarity. Food good, rooms clean .

The staff were lovely except one girl was not happy about asking for a glass of ice and water as we made our way to bed dont know why as we had been eating and drinking for the evening,the food was lovely .the room was a bit tired and bathroom was in need of refurb was dull and seemed a bit damp. Could see the sea but had a fire escape in front of window. . A bit out if the way a bit of a walk to high street as well. All in all was a nice place with beach right there would go again but to different room. Location and food along with staff are worth anither visit ..

Bit far frm high street area wasnt great not a lot there., but the hotel had nice food and the beach was not mad busy .

The location of this hotel is superb..you cannot get closer to a beach!. The room I had is the one and only with a balcony which makes a big difference even if the room is a bit small. The hotel is well run and quiet at night and the staff worked tirelessly in the heat to satisfy guests. There is a good choice of food available all day . The decor is charming in rooms 203/4/5

Only a small question? would it not be possible to set aside a space for residents to sit downstairs during the day? The bars and terrace are understandably busy and noisy at all times.

I enjoy the accessibility via the lift to upper floors, the quality of the breakfast and food provision and the comfortable bed and shower. The staff are universally friendly and helpful. This is a repeated visit, so clearly I recommend and will hope to return.

The bathroom window would not open and the bathroom spelt a little damp, but was clean and the shower was lovely.

Breakfast was lovely, staff great, food in the evening overpriced example a jacket potato with beans £10 , fish finger sandwich was over £14, they charge these prices as there’s not very many places to chose to eat in the evening.

Our room was extremely tiny for a double bed as we had no room to move around, not a comfy chair to relax in, room was in the roof so it was extremely hot with a view of the main road the arcade did not close till midnight, during the week some teenagers turned up with some mixing decks and the sound from them was rediculous, while we were there we noticed cracks appearing in the ceiling that got bigger over the days, there was a fan in our room that was a plug in and the noise overwhelmed the sound of the television, our shower had a mind of its own, while using it would be so hot it was scolding then go freezing cold so it was a bit of a jump in jump out to shower, the hotel advertised that they have air conditioning but not in our room, we payed £490 for 3 nights, and to top this off the lift wasn’t working so had to drag our cases up 3 flights of stairs.

The location is fantastic it was very clean and well equipped would definitely recommend

Location is perfect and my room was very good ideed. The bed was comfortable and the choice of food and drink is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel does its best to make everyone enjoy their stay. In spite of it being a very busy weekend, everything worked perfectly.

The location is lovely right near the harbour and beach breakfast was great lots of choice but I think there could of been some sort of sauce for the scrabble egg and salmon

The mattress on the double bed was 2 singles which made no sense and only 2 toilet rolls so not enough especially if you run out in the middle of the night

Excellent value for money. Staff very attentive an polite, Nothing is too much trouble. Food is superb and well presented. Really appreciate the 'small plate' options on the menu. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout

Room with sea view was fantastic. The bar and outside seating was comfortable with a great atmosphere.

Breakfast not included in price but found a lovely cafe close by.

Lovely old building with wonderful art deco detailing. Our room was outstanding with fantastic sea views

Stunning location on the beach

Location very close to beach. Free parking right outside the hotel. Meals both at lunch time and dinner in the evening. Restaurant and bar were very comfortable and the staff very friendly. Reception staff were also helpful and friendly.

The room had good facilities but there was some black mould around the bath near the taps. The room had 2 windows but one of them would not stay up, over a period of time it would close on its own which was inconvenient as it was very hot weather. In the end we jammed the bin in the frame so it could not close. I realise these are small problems but they should be fixed. I would still come back to this hotel in the future.

Great spot overlooking the Ocean. Nice restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining. Excellent breakfast.

The breakfast was excellent. All the staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and have absolutely no complaints.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, sea view, comfortable bed, cleanliness of room and bed etc, breakfast, hotel parking, evening meals.

No ensuite bathroom window or ventilation to extract moisture and odours. This was a minor inconvenience which didn't decrease our enjoyment of our stay.

Reception and bar staff very friendly. Dinner was pleasant. Great location,

The room was lovely, great sea view with balcony. All the staff were very friendly, in the bar, restaurant and houskeeping lady was very helpful. Really enjoyed our 2 night stay.

A lovely hotel with plenty of character but with a modern twist. Very near to the local theatre that I was visiting. Friendly and helpful staff who really did their best to make my stay as comfortable as possible

Old-school English charm, friendly and efficient staff, comfortable living areas, a general impression of a clean and well ordered establishment.

Our room had recently been refurbished in Art Deco style and was excellent with a view to the river. We were there for our friends' surprise birthday lunch party and the staff were very obliging making sure everything went well. We all enjoyed our food.

Room was fabulous with terrific view, the shower was so nice and I was provided with a wonderful terry cloth robe. Nice decor and I loved the place. Food was good at the restaurant. Front desk staff was lovely. Nice little town with good walks.

Bartender had no idea how to make a vodka martini! I found that unusual.

Thought I was getting a sea view room , but not when arrived, upgraded to deluxe room with shower , but not seaview , they did offer another room but stayed in the room given as was nice n spacious on a corner .

Breakfast was great as were the staff at all times.

The shower did not work on our first morning and we had difficulty finding a member of staff to inform. When eventually someone came to check on it they had to actually bash it very very hard to move the control knob. The bed was comfortable but far too small. Had to ask for drinking water on the second day as it was not automatically topped up .Was told they only top up the ‘posh rooms’. No extractor or window in the en-suite which seemed odd.

Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Auch am Abend haben wir sehr gut gegessen. Alles war sehr heiss serviert, was mir sehr gut gefällt. Das Personal war äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Great stay. The staff were friendly and professional, we ate supper and breakfast at the hotel and both were very good.

The room was quite hot with constant heating on. So, we turned this off but keeping the window open was a challenge.

Room, albeit clean & tidy, lacking plug sockets & USB's. Could hear our next door neighbours through the wall in the bathroom.

The hotel is in the best location in the area with spectacular views across the harbour and beach. There is a good restaurant and great lively bar and the staff were all very friendly and helpfull

Breakfast was great/meals in general great, fish was very fresh and well presented.

One main meal was disappointing as the roast meat appeared to have been reheated from lunchtime not presented well.

We had lunch and dinner both lovely amazing portions for dinner we didn’t do breakfast found that a little bit expensive staff were so friendly right the way we weren’t kept waking for anything we asked for

There was absolutely nothing you could not like the deco was art deco the lighting and the pictures on the walls were amazing I wanted to take everything home with me even outside was nice lovely view of the beach just lovely
