Highly recommended! We had an amazing stay at Ohana Resort, and first and foremost, it was thanks to Matt, his wife, and their wonderful team. From the very first moment, they never stopped smiling, making us feel welcome, and doing everything they could to ensure our stay was comfortable, clean, and enjoyable. The villa was spotless and well organized, and the large, beautiful swimming pool was exceptionally well maintained and clean. The resort itself is gorgeous and beautifully landscaped, with plenty of greenery that makes you feel surrounded by nature. The location is excellent—fairly central and close to everything, yet still peaceful and quiet. In short, it’s the perfect place for either a long or short stay in Siargao. We highly recommend it! One more thing worth mentioning: the Wi-Fi is relatively good for the island, and there is a generator in case of power outages, which happen quite frequently in Siargao. These are two very important bonuses that made our stay even better.

Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are spacious. Outdoor kitchen areas helped us save money on eating with a large family. Staff was very accommodating.

Airconditioning did not function properly. They booked us an airport transfer for a fixed price, but the driver asked for 500 pesos more on our way to the airport.

The staff was nice, the pool was okay and the location is good.

Pretty much everything else. The room was very run-down and looked nothing like the photos. It lacks even the most basic of necessities, like soap or a hair dryer. No wardrobe either. They keep a bunch of dogs on the premises of the resort, and they kept going through our garbage and making a huge mess at the outside the kitchen. Electricity would go out every day and their generator wasn't working properly. The place is barely kept together and needs some serious work to be put back to its original state.

We are very disappointed with our stay and unfortunately cannot recommend this accommodation based on our experience. Our most expensive stay in the Philippines, you expect a lot more. From the moment we arrived, the service fell far below expectations. The staff appeared disengaged, frequently spending time on their phones or watching TikTok videos with loud music playing, even in guest areas. The manager in particular showed little interest in assisting guests, responded indifferently to concerns, and often provided inconsistent information. Several issues significantly impacted our stay: - The WiFi was extremely poor and unreliable. - The room was not clean; after walking briefly, our feet became visibly dirty, indicating that the floors were not properly cleaned. - The towels were of very poor quality and did not dry properly. - Our laundry was left unattended for two days and was never sent to the laundry service, without any apology or acknowledgment. - We were promised a scooter at check-in, but it was not available. Even the following morning at the agreed time, it was still unavailable. Only after repeated follow-ups was a scooter provided much later. - Breakfast information was inconsistent. We were told it would be available from 7:00 AM, yet no staff was present at that time. On another day, we were informed breakfast only started at 8:00 AM. Clear and consistent communication is essential. - Music at the pool was played excessively loud by staff, regardless of guest presence. - The swimming pool was dirty, with visible green residue on the walls and floor. Additionally, the water level appeared too low for proper circulation. - Soft drinks were overpriced. - Curtains on the sliding doors were too thin and did not block light effectively. - During our 3-day stay, no cleaning service was offered. Trash bins were not emptied and began to smell, and no fresh towels were provided.

This place is wonderful and the staff is very sweet. It is a nice change from a lot of 5 star places in Europe where the staff is often snooty. Anilyn our receptionist was a total superstar and took care of us with great care and service from the heart.

Room is not well maintained and furniture are worn out. They charged my room for 3 beers which I already paid the bartender cash when I ordered at the bar.

De kamer was mooi ruim opgezet en smaakvol ingericht. De indeling van het perceel was ook mooi met een mooi zwembad.

Best ver van het centrum +- 15 min lopen. In de badkamer mag een afscheiding komen tussen douche en rest van de badkamer. Als je gaat douche wordt het ene groot water ballet

El personal es muy eficiente y atento, por el resto no me gustó nada, no repetiría.

Nuestra habitación estaba muy deteriorada, se nota que no dan mantenimiento. Estaba lleno de hormigas, me pasé toda la noche que me picaban las hormigas…No limpian y tampoco es que esté muy limpio el alojamiento en general. La ropa de cama no ponen cubre colchón… nuestro baño estaba super sucio y el jabón del lavamanos no salía ni jabón…la piscina es muy bonita pero lo mismo, falta mantenimiento en general en el alojamiento. No es un resort, los días siguientes he estado en otros sitios y están genial. El precio que pagas no lo merece… en fin, estuve 2 noches y estaba deseando cambiar de alojamiento. Por otro lado, está cerca de general luna pero siempre necesitarás ir en moto o tuk tuk porque estaba deseando cambiar como en la calle paralela.

Beautiful property, helpful staff, clean facilities. Unlimited clean water and kitchen on site. AC kept us cool at night and the balcony provided a perfect setting for coffee with pool views. The pool with swim up bar is definitely a highlight! Thank you to Matt & Tala, Ling and the other staff. Our stay was perfect and we will visit again if ever in Siargao ❤️

El alojamiento es espectacular, tienen un jardín muy bonito y la piscina junto al bar donde desayunamos era magico. El personal fue super amable con nosotros y muy hospitalarios! Recomiendo comer sus desayunos, estaban riquisimos!!!

Unsafe locking mechanism. You can get locked up from the outside on the Villas. Limited parking and shower needs fixing. Shower was hard to set up.

Las fotos que se muestran para nada se asocian con la realidad. Hay un chico en la recepción que toca la guitarra que es un encanto.nos ayudo muchísimo.

Es caro para como está.no te limpian la habitación ni te cambian de toallas. Al menos podrían tener desayuno incluido ya que el precio no es barato. Y lo de resort que lo vayan quitando.porque no es ni por asomo como en las fotos.Los enchufes...es otro tema que deberían cambiar.

Se encuentra muy cerca de la calle donde hay más ambiente de general luna. El aire acondicionado funcionaba bien. Que cualquier problema que hemos tenido nos lo han solucionado.

No cumple con las expectativas de las fotos. En general, no ha estado mal pero para mi gusto no está muy bien cuidado. La habitación es sencilla. El lavabo tiene bastantes desperfectos y tiene ventanas abiertas al exterior. Eso hace que continuamente hayan 7 lagartijas en las paredes y otros insectos. Las toallas para la ducha parecían mantas, no secaban nada. El jabón de manos era un poco de jabón mezclado con agua. La cocina está al exterior, a pesar de saberlo, tampoco tenía muy buen aspecto. Al estar todos los platos, vasos, cubiertos… al exterior, esta todo lleno de bichos, hormigas… La piscina estaba bien, aunque podía estar mejor cuidada ya que el agua estaba revuelta y no muy transparente. Si vas para dormir y ya, no está mal.

Wij hadden met ons gezin de familiekamer. Wat we heel fijn vonden dat je een grote buitenruimte had waar je kon koken en buiten kon zitten. Er waren weinig muggen dus we hebben daar veel gebruik van gemaakt.

Het enige wat we kunnen verzinnen is een iets grotere kaart waar je savonds ook nog een klein hapje kunt bestellen als je geen zin hebt om uit eten te gaan.

The loft was very comfortable for a family of 5! The location was also a highlight because it was close enough to the main tourism road but also a good distance for a quiet atmosphere. Matt was also very accommodating of our early check in request which we appreciated so much!

Las habitaciones tienen zona exterior privada y esto es muy cómodo. Tiene piscina. El personal, particularmente Lin, es muy simpático y atento.

No tiene armario ni colgadores para ropa, únicamente un mueble compartimentado. Muy básico en amenities. No hay limpieza de habitaciones durante la estancia, pese a ser un resort. Hay que coger transporte para ir a cualquier zona de General Luna.

Pas vraiment un hôtel il faut attendre que le propriétaire se réveille vers 7.30 a.m pour avoir des renseignements et autres demandes. Cet endroit a besoin de rénovation. Service minimum.

Very spacious rooms and a great vibe and feel to the place. The staff are very helpful. The owner on site is also friendly and great to chat too. Easy 5 min travel into town on a tricycle. Just stand on the road and one is there is seconds. No more than 150php anywhere.

Everything about the place made us feel like at home, the staff and the owners were awesome! Thank you for giving our first trip to Siargao and awesome experience.

The staff were great! They were really attentive and were welcoming. Kevin made sure we were looked after and ordered us tuk tuks when we needed and also sorted our motorbike hire and tours. The whole island had a power cut on Sunday but Ohana had its own generator so we were still able to have the fan on and stay cool and heat up water when we needed. Thank you! My partner and kids really enjoyed the 7ft deep pool too!

It's not their fault but there are lots of lizard poop in the rooms and they would poop on our beds and in the bathroom. The rooms were quite dark too, one of our lights were out. Our bathroom hand soap, body soap and shampoo weren't refilled. Although, this is quite minor. Our fridge had a broken glass bottle inside it. It was quite dangerous as I had a toddler that could reach it but Kevin was able to sort this out straight away. Food was good but wish they had more options but Kevin said that they were adding and expanding the kitchen so there will be more options soon.

We arrived to Ohana resort excited about our stay as we decided to go for a slightly more expensive option as Siargao was our last stop of our trip. With good reviews we were expecting great things. However, this was far from the case. When we arrived into our room we were greeted with many mosquitoes. We later discovered that this was due to a large gap in between the sliding doors to our room. We addressed this with an employee as we did not feel comfortable with pests being able to enter our room, especially when there was no mosquito net provided. We were dismissed and ignored with the employee walking Off mid conversation to the point where we were left wondering where the conversation was even leading. We decided to go out for dinner and when we arrived back at the room we were greeted with a gecko on the ceiling above the bed. After this we decided to pack up our things and find alternative accommodation as we did not feel that it was acceptable to have to sleep in a room full of mosquitoes, a gecko and many other creatures that could enter the room during the night including one of the many frogs located outside. We completely understand that we were staying in a tropical environment and the owner emphasised This when we brang up the issue with him the following morning, however if you know that this is the case, you should put certain measures into place such as nets on the doors / windows or even just a net over the bed which can be bought on Amazon for very little. I do not believe that it should be normalised for animals to be in my bedroom when I have paid quite a lot of money for a room and for nothing to be done about the situation when your customers are uncomfortable. As briefly mentioned above, when we returned the keys the following morning and had a conversation with the owner we were dismissed and simply Told that this is normal and that no one else is complaining even thought others have huge spiders in their rooms.

I had a great stay at the Ohana Hotel Resort . The service was great and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I really enjoyed my time there

Great service, they always try to do best to help you with anything like motorbike, airport transfer etc. The resort itself is well maintained and clean.

The resort has a pool with a swim-up bar, large rooms, and an AC that works. The resort's ownership just changed in February, so the new owner is making changes in the coming months to enhance it even more. He helped us order scooters, car rentals, and shuttle service, and gave ideas for day trips for our week-long stay. Remember it is like every other island resort hotel, yes, there will be hard beds, only one sheet, and wet bathrooms, but this is normal for Siargao. The resort is located down a side road so tricycles will drop you off at the corner of the street. It is dark at night and rocky, so bring a flashlight!

That it rained almost all week, as the road to get to the resort gets muddy, but that's not the fault of the resort!

Ohana was excellent. We really enjoyed the villa. It was perfect for our family of 4. Being able to order breakfast in the morning made for a good start to the day. The villa was spacious and clean and the staff were great. The pool was very nice and we used it every day to cool off when not exploring the rest of the island. We would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

Location was perfect if you have a motorbike, maybe a little out of the way if you need to get a tuk-tuk everytime. Our airport transport didn’t show up (4:00am) to take us to our early flight which put us in quite a bind. Not sure if that is the fault of the resort or the driver. However, the security guard was able to awaken a man who lived on the street who gave us a wild ride to the airport. Since the location is away from the main road it is very quiet, but as you can read above can also have its drawbacks.

The outside area is green and nice pool and good location if you want to be close to activities but still quiet. You will need a scooter or be willing to take the local tuk tuk but I really liked the area. Owner is super nice and service minded.

The building we stayed in was so not well taken care off but you could see it has been nice and still has potential. Even when we asked for a cleaning of the outside area specifically we came back to dirty pans and not refilled water and not emptied trash. But then I didn’t ask for it again cuz we only had a few days booked and it is uncomfortable to tell them it wasn’t done well. They probably did the best they could.

Everything about Ohana is great - the location the staff the total experience made the stay in Siargao an absolute delight.

Would be good to have the restaurant serving lunch and dinner, not just breakfast. Would also like to see a bigger variety of drinks available at the bar. Especially considering the distance from resort to main restaurants/shops

The stuff and owners are super nice. Good service, always clean. Poolbar is awesome, also the space is just great. Quiet location.

Everything was perfect. Henrik was really helpful, the staff were kind, and the owner was friendly! They said before, no hot water (actually doesn't need, after a hot day) and no AC daytime (this is island life), but these are acceptable. We enjoyed our stay! And we loved after an all day island discovery to dip in a pool.

The pool and the bar by it was fantastic, the rooms very spacious. The double beds so comfortable. Staff were nice and breakfast was delicious although we waited an hour for it every day.

The single beds have a very thin mattress that was very uncomfortable if you wanted to side sleeping. The pillows were bad as well, and just a pitty that they only make the AC work during night time, forget taking a nap in the afternoon, it is boiling hot even with the fan swinging.

It’s a bit hard to find since there is no sign outside the main road where is it located since there is two OHANA in the town. But we managed to find the place via google map and we are confuse sines the is no sign that OHANA resort was inside the very common street.

The staff were great, main guy at reception was so nice to deal with and helpful! The room was huge and had a lovely patio area with couch. The swimming pool was also really big with a lovely swim-up bar. Great chill atmosphere around the whole place

The swimming pool was amazing. Very friendly staff, we booked a room upstairs and they brought our luggage up there for us.

The island is having serious problems with the electricity and in Ohana there’s no generator. We received an email one hour after we made the non refundable booking saying that during a power outage it might be possible that we couldn’t get hot water for a shower. But the problem was that when the power outage came (as everyday in Siargao) there wasn’t any water at all. Not even for flushing the toilet. Not even for a cold shower. As we didn’t have any water, we’ve been offered buckets from the swimming pool (as ‘the cleanest water we could get’). To be honest, we felt very disappointed and sort of scammed because we haven’t been told the correct information. Definitely, we wouldn’t have booked at Ohana resort at this price without having access to water.

it was hot especially at night when the electricity is not working well, but we were informed ahead about the electricity issue in the island. it was acceptable. 👍

I didn’t like how they had no generator and no AC. additionally when there was a power cut you couldn’t get by as no AC or lights.

Room is very spacious including the CR, the pool is big, quiet place, instagrammable property. The owner is very accommodating and responsive for the quiries. Since our original flight was cancelled we need to move the sched on the next day, and they adjusted the booking quickly. Thank you.

Loved the space the pool, the plants and shirley the dog. The owner was very friendly, accommodating and good to chatwith. It was a very relaxing stay, the space has been beautifully designed and centrally located.

The time it took for the staff to prepare a simple breakfast, I have lived in the Philippines for 22 years now and still can't fathom the reason why many staff work at such a painstakingly slow snails pace 😀

The owner, Dick is a great guy, he really tied the place together and made it feel a lot more like a home than a 'resort'. He's pour his heart and soul into this resort after the typhoon hit. Met some amazing people there and the cheap drinks on site and pool made it more worth it really!

No toiletries. the A/C automatically was turn off at 3am except on our last night. the water pressures was really slow. A lot of mosquitoes in the surrounding. we have to ask them to pick up the trash instead of initiating that they knew we’ve cooked they should have picked up the trashed not waited to be asked to throw it away.

Mosquitoes everywhere, dirty pool with algae/fungus on side, open to outdoor kitchen seems fun but in reality does not work because of the frogs, bugs, dogs, cats, mosquitoes that joins you when you are there. 6 days of stay and we never had our room cleaned. I had to ask multiple times to even remove our garbage from the kitchen. Toilet paper or towels, blankets never changed. Super slow internet that our friend who needed wifi to work, had to leave and stay somewhere else. This was more like an airbnb , where you get nothing but room rental- not a resort. From what I heard they have new staff. While the people all seem nice, this place is sadly badly managed. The place has potential if only it’s managed better.

a lot of things!!! 1. They don't provide any shampoo, soap and dental kit. 2. They don't change your towel until 3 days after. 3. The light bulbs were covered with cobwebs. The headboard of the bed was filled with dust and lizard poop. There was so much dust under the bed. Even the bath soap stand had a consumed bath soap on it. 4. There were sooooo many mosquitoes inside the room and in the shower. When we woke up, we were filled with mosquito bites.
