We had a lovely stay at The Beacon. Our room was beautiful and full of character, and the setting and grounds are absolutely stunning. By far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was exceptionally good, with lovely produce and real attention to detail.

During our stay, there was one day when the fire alarm kept going off due to the heavy rain. I appreciate that this may have been outside of the hotel control, and I’m pleased that the issue was eventually fixed. However, the repeated alarms did disturb us and had an impact on our enjoyment of the stay.

Literally everything about it was amazing! I loved the decor / style, attention to detail on that was just to my taste & really made it extra special. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating to our requests as well which again is what I think makes visits like this that extra bit enjoyable! Thank you for looking after us and making our stay so enjoyable! Because of this we will be back!

To be honest I can’t think of anything I didn’t like, aside from the fact I wanted to stay longer.

This is bar far my favourite hotel to stay at when visiting Royal Tunbridge Wells. Everything about this place is exceptional. The terrace overlooking the grounds and across the valley is breathtaking and delightful to have breakfast there looking at the view. And the room was delightful.

There was no Air con so our room was 30 degrees so extremely hot, other than that it was perfect

The Beacon is a gorgeous boutique style hotel tucked down a country lane on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells. It’s beautifully decorated and the staff are polite and attentive. We had breakfast on the terrace outside which was absolutely perfect. Would recommend for a weekend getaway.

Wow...what a find ....loved everything about The Beacon, wish we could have stayed longer...but was full... Beautiful room, very comfy bed with fabulous pillows had a wonderful sleep!! Food was amazing..Excellent!! Service was second to none i have experienced 👌 What ever your wanting from a beautiful hotel you will find at the Beacon...as you can tell I highly recommend a visit...enjoy, 5*

room was gorgeous and spacious, we got upgraded too and it was so great we loved it. food, while expensive, was worth the money and delicious. great location, staff were attentive and kind and i had an overall amazing experience here.

Loved the character of the building and the unique individual glam feeling of the room. Views were lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I stayed over for a local wedding, staff were beyond accommodating, recognised the early wedding start and ensured my room was prepared first! Gave me a helpful tour and a complimentary tea over looking the grounds. A very thoughtful team indeed!

Breakfast delicious, location beautiful and staff really attentive. A fan was even put in our room as it was such a hot few days !

Very clean and comfortable room, that was well worth the price we paid. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Well stocked mini bar and the complimentary drinks and snacks were all of good quality.

The quality of the accommodation was much higher than the photos. Its in a really beautiful location. Great staff that could not do enough to ensure we had an excellent stay. We only had breakfast but it was high quality.

What a wonderful place. Unique, stylish and warm. It was my wife’s birthday and they went the extra mile to make it special. Unexpected treats/drinks and a room upgrade. The staff were all friendly and professional and it really made our stay. Would definitely recommend. I don’t often do reviews but credit where credit is due. Definitely book for lunch/dinner. Food was also great!

Lovely location with a good view. The hut was great for a one night stay and a good change from the more conventional accommodations, had everything that we needed.

We loved the Summer House - stayed for a “baby moon” in January, and it was exactly what we wanted. The outdoor bath and fire were stunning even in cold and drizzly weather. The staff were so lovely and attentive, and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

Couldn’t fault it!

We had the most wonderful two-night stay at The Beacon and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. From the moment we arrived, the team were warm, welcoming and genuinely lovely - nothing was too much trouble. We were so touched to be upgraded to the most beautiful room at no extra charge, which made the whole stay feel extra special and indulgent. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, every space feels thoughtful, calm and effortlessly stylish. We especially loved the subtle scents throughout; it smelled incredible everywhere you went. And the Pelegrims soaps and body wash in the room were such a gorgeous touch - those little details really elevated the whole experience. The food was absolutely outstanding. On our first evening we chose the Garden Menu and every dish was fresh, vibrant and full of flavour, it was so good that we decided to treat ourselves to the more indulgent set menu on the second night. The rib of beef was sensational, perfectly cooked and one of the best we’ve had. It felt like such a treat from start to finish. A huge thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable - we can’t wait to come back. Thank you 💖

Everything! Possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Staff fabulous and sincere, could not do enough to make sure that we were OK.upgraded to Spindleberry and omg what a beautiful room. Nice touch to have classical music playing on a radio, not the TV. Homemade mince pies amazing. Will be back!

The Beacon is outstanding from arrival! Chloe was amazing throughout check in, ensuring we had a complimentary upgrade for my daughter’s birthday and gave us lots of history of the property. We stayed in the Blackthorne room which was spacious with a roll top gold bath, amazing views and smelt unreal. We dined for lunch in the upstairs restaurant, which we would 100% recommend. The atmosphere was great & I can’t wait to return.

The road getting in and out was a bit awkward at night, main road was busy at peak times.

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and have lots of amenities including complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. The restaurant was great I would highly recommend eating here. The views from the property were beautiful. Just a shame I couldn't stay longer!

Is dat niet. Eten was koud, voorgerechten gelijk met hoofdgerechten uitgeserveerd, tweede drankje kwam überhaupt niet, bijgerechten waren koud, stukjes kurk in de wijn. Met ontbijt waren div dingen op/schalen leeg en besteld eten kwam weer heel laat.

The hotel is in a lovely setting, with lush gardens surrounding it. My room was cozy and beautiful, I had complimentary brownies coffee and tea. The bed was super-comfortable.

I couldn’t get the coffee machine to work!

My booking said @King Room with Lake view'. This isn't what I got, they put me in the Shepherds hut in the grounds. Shower didnt work well. Fussy service in the restaurant

Spectaculaire locatie.

We spent one night in the cabin overlooking the garden and with the external bath tub and fireplace. It was a lovely experience and we were just sorry we didn't book a longer stay. The room is large and very comfortable, we slept very well.

Small room, no bath, shower only, steaming hot room with no air conditioning, but at least we had an opening window and a noisy Dyson fan. So overheating or wear earplugs.
