La ubicación es muy buena. Estuve sola en la habitación, y la verdad es que está equipado con todo lo necesario, además de ser miy bonito. El eprsonao fue muy amable en todo momento, y estuvieron pendientes fe que la estancia fuese la mejor posible. Al llegar, te invitan al coctel de bienvenida en petti petti mirisa.

At the beginning felt weird by hotel being a walking distance from breakfast place, not attached to each other and started to doubt the choice. But to be honest, people working there made our stay super comfortable, pleasant and joyful. Every needs was done in a minutes and very good hearted people working there. We had an amazing birthday celebration of my niece and they made a special gesture during our dinner. That was unforgettable. So sweet and kind of them

The property is absolutely lovely and connected to a beautiful beach bar called Petti Petti, right on the beach. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and both the pool and the connected beach bar area were simply wonderful! The food and drinks were excellent, but the real highlight was definitely the staff: simply adorable! Everyone was incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely warm-hearted. They truly made our stay even more special. We had such a wonderful time here. Highly recommended! ❤️

Wij hadden een erg grote en ruime kamer. De kamer was schoon en we hadden een goed ontvangst van het vriendelijke personeel en zij waren ook goed bereikbaar op Whatsapp voor alle vragen. Ook is de aangesloten beachclub Petti Petti erg leuk. Qua locatie zitten de meeste horeca etc binnen 5-15 min lopen!

Er kan geen raam open in de kamer.

Whilst I read that places like Anhangama and Welligama were maybe better in terms of things to do etc, as we had only just landed for the start of our holiday, we thought we would go for a more relaxed area. Mirissa is certainly more chilled than the other two, and it was great just hanging out and going to places like Coconut Tree Hill and Parrot Rock. It was also a great location to get to nearby beaches to the East to snorkel with turtles (Madiha Beach) and lunch at The Doctor's House. It was also a great location to have a day out in Galle, and seeing the turtle conservation centre on the way. The rooms were amazing and the breakfast and other meals we had at Petti Petti were amazing too. The staff were all really welcoming and lovely and we can't recommend it enough.

Maybe closer walking access to shops etc, but we didn't really need it too much having just arrived.

Les chambres sont excentrées et il faut traverser une route très passante pour aller à la plage ou à la piscine et au restaurant. Ce n'est pas très pratique avec une famille, heureusement que nous ne sommes restés qu'une seule nuit. La chmabre mériterait aussi plus de lumière. Nous avions une seule petite ouverture, mais nous ne pouvions la fermer qu'avec des volets et avec les moustiques, "cette fenetre" est donc restée constamment fermée

Leuke ruime kamer. De beach club van het hotel lag aan de overkant van de straat. Daar was het ontbijt ook. Zeer lekker ontbijt en veel. De beach club was ook heel fijn. Ruim zwembad en aan de zee gelegen. Lekker chillen bij het zwembad of in de zee en terwijl kon je een drankje aan de bar bestellen. Goede locatie. Zeer vriendelijk.

De kamer was goed, leek door de materialen in de badkamer misschien niet super hygiënisch. Maar was uiteindelijk wel het geval. Voor de beach club en ontbijt moet je wel altijd een drukke weg oversteken.

Estaba súper sucio, tenían el restaurante cerrado y te venden que tienen piscina dentro del hotel cuando no es así, la piscina está cruzando una calle, no vayáis a este sitio, hay mil mejores por la zona y mucho mejor de precio, es súper caro. Además está súper descuidado y viejo, no volvería jamás

Pas grand chose en réalité, à part la qualité du petit-déjeuner au beach club.

Le rapport qualité prix (chambre, de surcroît « de luxe, bien trop chère par rapport aux prestations), emplacement de l’autre côté de la route donnant à la plage, accès supposément gratuit au beach club mais accessible à tous dès lors qu’on prend un café (constaté sur place). Dans le prix payé (plus de 500 dollars pour 2 nuits !), on s’attendrait à avoir le petit déjeuner inclus. Chambre non refaite en journée. En comparaison des autres lieux cotés au Sri Lanka, c’est décevant.

Goeie locatie, ruime kamer

Geen warm water! Het bad is niet afgescheiden maar openbaar. Iedereen die voorbij wandelt kan je zien zitten. De kamer wordt enkel schoongemaakt op vraag. Geluidsoverlast 's avonds van de andere kamers. Voor deze prijs rekeninghoudend dat het ontbijt ook niet was inbegrepen, hebben we al betere accommodaties gehad in Sri Lanka. Ik had er meer van verwacht voor deze prijs.

The staff is so friendly and ready te help 24/7 literally. The best pillows I have had in my 30 days through Sri Lanka. The accomodation is affiliated with the Petti Petti beach club accross the street, which has a nice pool with beautiful beach view and amazing food. The breakfast is big and tasty and at night there was a live music and delicious food. The duty manager and his staff at Petti Petti should get a big mention. We enjoyd our stay. We also did a day trip to Galle which is only 45 drive, and a few trips to Kai beach club in Welligama which us about a 15 minute drive.

I booked the outdoor bath room, however the bath was in the middle of the other rooms leaving it with no privacy and unusable. Also the room has windows however with no mosquito/ fly screens so just remain shut leaving it quite a dark room.

Saman the site manager was really genuine and amazing but this listing is a PURE scam. I paid over $1000+ for 2 rooms, 4 nights, not worth my money tbh. WiFi did not work 2 whole days, they say the pool is on the adjacent property WRONG it is across the busy mirissa road at petti petti. No security as well as there are no guards at night on property nor proper lighting, you feel very eerie. Cleanliness was 10/10 and room making daily was smooth too but I would much rather stay someplace else. Also the “indoor bathtub” they show is completely in the middle of real plants and insects, you physically cannot shower in it, no privacy too, only good as a photo prop.

Attention: l'hôtel et la piscine/petit dejeuner restaurant sont séparés par une route très passante. Nous avons mangé au restaurant le soir. Nous avons été déçus par la nourriture qui ne paraissait pas être faite maison pour des prix européens.

It was a good location, ability to use the facilities at petit petit was needed.

The pictures do not match the property. The bathroom had a mould issue and the “private bath” as described is not private, it’s at the entrance of all 4 sections of the hotel rooms.

The fact that it’s connected with Petti Petti is really nice. The view there and swimming pool are nice. Saman was extremely kind as well.

The location was great as it’s close to popular restaurants and walking distance to Coconut Tree Hill. The restaurant and pool was beautiful. Our breakfast was amazing. The staff at Banana Bunks were extremely friendly and helpful. We were very well looked after by them.

Het zwembad, strand en restaurant aan de andere kant van de weg. Heerlijk sfeertje, prachtig plekje. Fijn dat er een privé strandje was.

De kamers vielen echt wel tegen, best wel basic. En we waren zelf niet bewust van het feit dat je eerst een drukke straat over moest om naar het strand, restaurant en zwembad te gaan. Dit was eigenlijk gewoon toegankelijk voor iedereen. Eten was duur.

When booking Banana Bunks we didn’t realise it was connected to the Petit Petit pool bar club, which was a very welcome surprise! The pool area was amazing, delicious food, comfy room, and great service from all staff but particularly Saman. Would recommend and would definitely visit again if we were in Mirissa!

Spacious and clean room, super comfortable beds, access to the beach club Petti Petti as part of the booking, exceptional food, quiet location, felt private, and only 5 min walk to main beach area. Great service and communication from check in and out and all through our stay. Saman was very attentive, kind and accommodating. He went out of his way to ensure we had an exceptional stay.

Intrycket vid bokningen var att man bodde på samma plats som Petti Petti men man bor på andra sidan vägen ca 50 m bort. Helt ok och bra, men inte det vi förväntade oss.

The room was comfy, spacious and clean and the host who met us was super friendly and helpful. The property has a beach club across the road with priority access to day beds which makes it very special, it was lovely and the food was great.

My only issue is the wait times to be served at the beach club (took us 15 min to get menu/20min to get drinks and always chasing up staff to serve us) this happened every occasion we were there, if this was fixed I couldn't fault this property.

Saman was fantastic. He made sure we had everything we needed and took care of us. The breakfast was delicious and the ability to use Petti Petti for the pool and beds by the sea was great.

Big nice room with three big beds for three guys travelling together. Host was very helpful and friendly. Close to the beach and big refrigerator outside room that was convenient.

For the price they could have tidied up everyday without having to request. Also filled up with water. Also garden outside room could be more tidied and cared for. We thought the room was situated at the Petti Petti area but it was on the other side of the street. Still close by.

Everything this place is like a paradise like a small jungle so quiet and beautiful it was a very good choice and the people were so attentive and so nice. I will miss this place forever opposite to this is the petty petty famous beach lounge with a small swimming pool. They have delicious food and cocktails and everything was amazing.

The property is walking distance from the beach.. plus they have a beach shack linked to the property named Peti Peti in which they provide free sun beds.. Mr. Saman is the best best care taker..

The location was in the middle of everything

Unfortunately, our stay at Banana Bunks fell well below expectations. While the location is great, everything else was extremely disappointing. They charge an extortionate amount for what is essentially a noisy, poorly maintained hostel room. The advertising on Booking.com is extremely misleading, there is no pool onsite, and the ‘superior double room’ we booked turned out to be a hostel room with three beds. When we raised these issues, the staff onsite were friendly and did their best to help, however, management were unresponsive, uncompromising and, at times, extremely rude. We have never had an experience like this, especially in Sri Lanka where you cannot fault the people. We don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this stay was genuinely awful. Please avoid.

Lo staff è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Comodo il beach club collegato sul lato opposto della strada, un bel posto dove rilassarsi. La colazione è buona, anche se il servizio è estremamente lento: in un’occasione abbiamo aspettato fino a 1 ora e 45 minuti.

Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è il vero problema. Abbiamo pagato circa 120€ a notte, una cifra assolutamente non giustificata per le condizioni della camera. La stanza era molto spartana, mancavano servizi essenziali (come una sedia, frigorifero, luci da lettura), porte e finestre non sigillate e senza zanzariere, con ingresso di insetti, un forte odore di muffa. Abbiamo dovuto far cambiare lenzuola e asciugamani perché sporchi e bucati e c’erano segni evidenti di scarsa pulizia. La struttura ci ha detto che tutte le camere sono così. Sarebbe stato un soggiorno accettabile se il prezzo fosse stato almeno un terzo, ma a queste tariffe non rispecchia quanto ci si aspetta.

Großes sauberes Zimmer. Pool ebenfalls sehr sauber. Room Service zuverlässig, gründlich und wir konnten per WhatsApp klären, wann er kommt. Steckdosen waren defekt, wurden dann aber am nächsten Tag ausgetauscht.

Wir fanden das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht angemessen. Für die Hälfte des Preises hatten wir eine deutlich bessere Unterkünfte in besserer Lage. Zimmer war zwar groß, aber dunkel, denn es gibt keine richtigen Fenster mit Glas sondern nur Fensterläden vor offenen Löchern in der Wand, die direkt vor der Terrasse des Nachbarzimmers waren. Wenn man also Privatsphäre und keine Insekten im Zimmer haben will, bleiben die Fensterläden zu und das Zimmer dunkel. Im Bad fehlte es an Ablageflächen. Das Zimmer hatte keinen Föhn und keinen eigenen Kühlschrank. Der Innenhof, wo es ein paar Sitzgelegenheiten gibt ist sehr dunkel und schattig und eher ein Parkplatz als ein Garten. Der Pool (ca 1-2 min Fußweg) war angenehm, aber das Personal im Petti Petti hat uns nie als Hotelgäste erkannt und deshalb ständig dazu aufgefordert Essen zu bestellen und wollte uns die Strandtücher in Rechnung stellen. Die Preise im Petti Petti sind im regionalen Vergleich sehr hoch. Sitzmöglichkeiten waren oft durch externe Gäste besetzt oder von diesen reserviert. Vor allem die Lage war aber enttäuschend: der Strand, an dem das Petti Petti liegt, ist direkt an einem Abfluss-Kanal. Es stinkt und der ganze Sand ist schwarz gefärbt von dem, was auch immer aus diesem Kanal läuft. Zum schwimmen muss man also einen Strand weiter laufen (knapp 5 min Gehweg).

Really comfortable stay. Nice beds and bathroom. They allowed me into Petti Petti because I was at the hostel even though it said they were at full capacity. Service at Petti Petti not great but a nice place to sit and have a drink by the beach.

No lock on the door or gate so the hostel room was open and anyone could have come in from the street.

Great location, just back from the Main Street. Enjoyed the beach front facilities at the petti petti bar. Food there was great and good value. The staff were lovely, the manager of the apartments is very approachable and offered the room to be serviced daily. The apartment had everything you need, comfortable beds, the sheets smelt lovely. Would stay again.

Location, Vibe & Calmness’s with privacy. Place is superb to relax, specially the Tub. Staff is very friendly and helpful thanks to Mr. Saman for everything.

The bathroom was quite cool, however the room itself had no windows so was a bit of a cave - seriously over priced for what it was. One of the most expensive places we stayed in Sri Lanka and lowest end of room quality. The main guy looking after the rooms was really helpful. Way too expensive for what it was

Facilities and staff at Petti Petti are amazing! One of best coffees and breakfasts we enjoyed during our travels ❤️ food is delicious. Rooms very unique with comfortable beds. The only thing is humidity level, that seemed on a higher end! Nevertheless we would return.

the room was not cleaned after people left. so the empty beds were left als they were when the guests left, not a good pick if you want to socialoze as there is only 1 dorm and the other rooms are doubles staff was friendy but no good organized

We were only meant to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying for 3. The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. We went to the pool and the staff checked in on us constantly ensuring we had everything we needed. The pool and sun beds were lovely, very relaxing. They had live music and a DJ which was great for the atmosphere. It is walking distance to everything including parrots rock, the beach and shops. The hotel staff checked in with us about our daily planned and made adjustments such as breakfast time. We went whale watching and were able to have breakfast a little later when we came back. The food was incredible and the best we had during our time in Sri Lanka. We had breakfast and lunch which was perfect and great choice. The hotel and pool were very clean. The bathroom was our favourite part and it felt like we were in the jungle.

Definitely a stay worth considering if you enjoy beach clubs, good service, relaxing in stylish surroundings, and meticulously prepared food. The beds at their beach club are available to guests for free, and the breakfast they offer is also very good. If you prefer to explore and spend most of your time outside, you may find cheaper options elsewhere.

Everything, the room, the beautiful bathroom, the breakfast at Petti Petti with pool and sea view. But especially the staff, they really took care of everything, the welcome cocktail, the details in the room, the exceptional service at Petti Petti, the way they made me feel welcome and at home at the same time. I’ll definitely come back to this place as it’s been a wonderful experience.
