We had a pleasant stay at Walton Hotels Galata. The location is very convenient for exploring Galata and Karaköy, and the overall experience was comfortable. A special thanks to Selim for his warm hospitality and helpful attitude. We also really appreciated the hotel keeping our luggage safely while we travelled to Crete. It made our trip much easier. The economy rooms are quite small and have no windows, which can feel a little confined. This was as described when booking, though, so it wasn't unexpected.

Although the upper restaurant and bar was good for customer service and good cocktail selection, we found the prices very high and food not as good as expected.

Absolutely love this Hotel. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was deeply moved by the warm and kindness hospitality. Especially i chcek in very late at night. The location was fantastic, and the hotel offers great value for money with exceptionally clean rooms and fresh towels. We really appreciated the complimentary coffee and bottled water every morning, as well as being provided with an Istanbulkart to use during our stay.

The breakfast experience was disappointing. Instead of a standard buffet, a pre-set selection of honey, cheeses, spreads, and pastries was brought to the table, and the food didn't feel fresh.

La veille de notre arrivée, l'hôtel nous informe que la chambre familiale 4 personnes ne comporte aucune fenêtre (?) et propose de nous ''surclasser'' dans deux chambres, dont une avec fenêtre (l'autre chambre sans fenêtre). Les chambres proposées ne correspondaient pas vraiment à ce que j'appelle du ''surclassement'', toutes les deux au rez de chaussée, une chambre sans fenêtre, pommeau de douche cassé, dans une des chambres.

Le personnel était au petit soin surtout Monsieur Salem qui nous a bien accueilli et était très serviable et Madame Zeynap qui veillait elle aussi sur le bon déroulement de notre séjour. Petit déjeuner servi d’une manière exceptionnelle et très bon. Merci à tout le personnel.

The reception's guys (Salim and his colleagues) were very helpful for any issue/question we had and the gave us a portable Wi-Fi which helped us a lot. The breakfast team was very kind and they served a very complete and with vast variety of items at the rooftop, very good quality and nice location. The bar and the bar tender would deserve a 10, the Margarita and the its variety Etna were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay there. Thanks a lot.

The added 3rd bed for my child was very old and not really comfortable, they should renew it.

The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and good Wi-Fi. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. Zeynep, the owner, even messaged us personally after check-in to make sure everything was going well. Breakfast on the rooftop was a highlight, with a good variety of cheeses, olives, fruit, breads, pastries, tea, coffee and juice, plus freshly prepared omelets and scrambled eggs available to order at no extra charge. The rooftop also had a beautiful view toward Galata. The location was excellent for both Galata and Istiklal, with a supermarket very close by. Bottled water was also replenished free of charge whenever we asked.

Nothing significant. Our room did not have a full exterior-view window, but ventilation and air conditioning were excellent, so this did not affect our comfort. The rooftop area was naturally a little less spotless than the indoor areas because it is open-air.

One of our rooms on the bottom floor was noisy as near the entrance to the hotel.

I wanted a personalized place in a vital neighborhood where the community was active and friendly. This was the perfect location.

The city often has a lot of smokers outside doors and it seems that this the same issue with this awesome hotel. Not a problem but just be aware if it bothers a guest they may not chose the same room I had off the main entrance and lobby.

El personal ha sido súper amable. Me gustaría destacar a Cihan que me ayudó a organizar mi estancia en Estambul y fue muy agradable en todo momento. La habitación es amplia aunque es cierto que la ducha es algo pequeña (habitación 203) pero para una persona está bien. La temperatura de la habitación era perfecta a pesar de estar en plena ola de calor y no tuve en ningún momento que encender el aire acondicionado. El hotel da todas las facilidades del mundo y Cihan, como ya he comentado, me gestionó la reserva para ir al Hamman, la recogida y todo lo necesario. Solo tengo palabras de agradecimiento. El desayuno es muy abundante y se sirve en la terraza con unas vistas inmejorables. También me gustaría destacar la amabilidad de la chica que atiende en el bar por las tardes y la de la chica que te da los buenos días cada mañana al llegar al desayuno. Sin duda alguna, si vuelvo a Estambul me gustaría volver a alojarme aquí. Gracias.

Todo en general es estupendo aunque es necesario destacar que el hotel se encuentra en el corazón de Galata lo que significa que se encuentra en mitad de una cuesta. Personalmente no me supuso un gran problema pero si se trata de una persona con movilidad reducida, esto es importante tenerlo en cuenta.

Πολύ φιλικό προσωπικό και καθαρό δωμάτιο. Μας πρόσφεραν δωρεάν welcome drink στην ταράτσα του ξενοδοχείου. Μας πρόσφεραν κάρτα για τα μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς και ήταν ευέλικτοι με την ώρα αναχώρησης μας.

I checked into Hotel Walton Galata for my final night in Istanbul because I wanted to be closer to the Beyoglu neighborhood. Immediately upon check in I received a room upgrade, to a phenomenal room, as well as a free welcome cocktail card for the rooftop bar. The room was luxurious and sizable, with large windows and efficient air conditioning. I went to the rooftop bar for tapas and cocktails, as well as breakfast the following morning. As a solo traveler, I pride hotel restaurants for being less daunting than going out on occasion. This one upheld this desire. The food (especially breakfast) was filling. The view from the roof was stunning. Finally, the day after check out I had a 1am taxi arranged to the airport for a red-eye flight, and as a solo female was at a loss trying to figure out how to occupy my evening from dinner to the taxi (that the airport arranged.) I ended up sitting in the hotel lobby at the welcome and host of concierge, Cihan. He was accommodating, offering me tea and coffee, and was a great conversationalist in my attempt to stay awake. I highly recommend Hotel Walton Galata as one of my favorite stays across what has now been a 5 country trip. Well worth it!

The hotel is within easy walking distance of Galata Tower. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and everything was clean and tidy throughout our stay.

The room felt quite enclosed, as it had no windows, making it feel less airy and comfortable.

Hele schone en ruime kamer. Hele leuke hotel in een super wijk letterlijk 1 minuut lopen naar Galata tower. Heerlijk ontbijt bieden ze ook aan. De eigenaar van de hotel Zeynep is zelf ook aanwezig tijdens het ontbijt en ontvangt je geweldig elke dag weer!

The owner, Zeynep, was especially kind and positive, and made us feel truly welcome from the start. Her hospitality made the experience even more memorable. The location was also incredible—just a few steps from Galata Tower, which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras provided, such as an Istanbul Card available for guests, which was a very considerate touch even though we didn’t end up using it. The welcome cocktails were a lovely surprise and set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. One of the absolute highlights was the stunning rooftop terrace with an unforgettable view of Galata Tower and the city. Overall, this is a place we would happily return to. I stayed at Walton Hotels Galata with a friend for three nights in the beginning of June. It was our first proper trip to Istanbul, so the hotel ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. The location was excellent, Galata felt like the perfect neighborhood for experiencing Istanbul. We were able to walk to so many places, and there were plenty of cafés, restaurants, and lively streets nearby. It was also easy to get around the city using public transportation when needed. The neighborhood had a great balance of energy and charm without feeling overwhelming. What stood out most was the staff. Every interaction felt genuinely welcoming and thoughtful. From check-in to everyday questions and recommendations, everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself was very comfortable and well maintained. Our room was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed after long days of walking around the city and attending the concert. Housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt modern, relaxing, and cared for. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a good variety each morning with fresh options and enough selection to start the day well before heading out to explore. It felt like a relaxing part of the experience rather than something rushed. One detail that made the stay feel even more memorable was having the chance to briefly meet the hotel owner, Zeynep. It was a small interaction, but it reflected the same warmth and hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. You could tell there is genuine care behind the guest experience, and it added a personal touch that made the hotel feel especially welcoming. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. They assisted me with transportation, navigating the city, and even helped me book a domestic flight. The location was excellent...within walking distance of Galata, Karaköy, cafés, restaurants, and public transportation. Breakfast was delicious, with a wonderful selection of Turkish specialties, and the owner, Zeynep, personally checked in to make sure guests were well taken care of, even reaching out via WhatsApp before my arrival.

The only thing I would have preferred was a room with a window and natural light, but none were available when I made my reservation. I didn't realize how much I enjoy having a window until this trip, especially since I like returning to my room in the afternoon to relax. This is purely a personal preference and did not take away from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The warm Turkish hospitality from Zeynep and her team, the location is prime, everything is up to date, clean, and modern. The morning breakfast with rooftop view of the Bosphorus. This hotel just reminds me or everything that made me fell in love with Turkiye and is an example why I continue to come back and stay longer each time.

Fantastic hotel! If you are doubting between this hotel and another one, definitely choose this one. The hotel is very centrally located, right around the corner from the Galata Tower. The Sishane metro station is just a few minutes' walk away, and the same goes for the tram and ferry in Karaköy. About the hotel itself: the rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is equipped with all amenities. The breakfast is delicious. Every morning you get a typical Turkish breakfast, and additionally, you can choose how you want your eggs prepared and what kind of dairy/yogurt you would like with it. The coffee is great, and they also offer juices and tea. The view from the rooftop terrace is phenomenal. It’s also a wonderful spot to have a nice cocktail in the evening. Zeynep runs the hotel and she is an amazing manager. She personally comes over to ask if everything is to your liking, and communicating with her is very pleasant. On top of that, the rest of the team is also very polite and helpful. I traveled to Istanbul alone, a city I know well from my student days, and have rarely felt so welcome in a hotel. I highly recommend this place!

- The mattress was quite saggy - The rooftop bar was quite expensive. It would have been good if they had deals for guests. We would have spent more time there

When we checked in to the hotel our room was under the rooftop bar, there was a party and loud music playing till midnight and people loudly talking and dragging tables till after 1a.m and then started making noise again at 6.15 am to set up for breakfast. We only had 5 hrs sleep. We called staff multiple times to ask when the music and loud noise would stop. There was no soundproofing above the room. And the mattress on the bed was broken and sagged on one side. We swapped rooms the next day which meant we didn't have a window or view anymore.

オシャレで清潔感があり、立地も抜群でとても快適に過ごせました。 チェックインの際、スタッフの方が「これ持ってる？」とイスタンブールカード（交通系ICカード）を見せてくれました。空港からホテルまでタクシーで来たためまだ持っていないと伝えると、なんとカードを貸してくれました！親切で温かいおもてなしに感動しました。

Мені дуже сподобався персонал готелю, дуже ввічливі і завжди хотіли допомогти. Розташування з однієї сторони класне, бо все під боком, а з іншої, наприклад в ніч з пʼятниці на суботу не могли заснути, бо поруч був якийсь бар і люди гуляли до 2х ночі.. Прикольна тераса з видом на вежу, сніданки базові, подаються прям на терасі. В цілому задоволений вибором готелю.

Чутно шум вулиці навіть коли вікна зачинені, особливо некомфортно вночі, коли люди тусять в барах.
