Es un pequeño hotel decorado con un gusto excelente e impecable. Quizás le falta algo de jardín, para mi gusto, pero en ningún momento dice que lo tenga, así que no te engaña. El trato del dueño es excepcional. En general, muy recomendable.

Nous sommes restées qu'une nuit mais pour la beauté du lieu et la gentillesse de Ashane nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps. Ashane nous a beaucoup aidé, par exemple à trouver certains produits que nous recherchions. Le petit déjeuner était le meilleur que nous ayons pris au Sri Lanka. Nous retiendrons avant tout la bienveillance, le bon coeur et le gout de Ashane pour la décoration.

We stayed at Still Waters Artistry for our first night after flying in from Australia and it was truly 11/10. Everything about this accomodation is just perfect. Beautifully designed, perfectly clean and peaceful. Ashane and his partner are so kind and couldn’t do more for you. Don’t skip the breakfast! Absolutely delish. A truly unique hotel with a soul. This is the first time I've encountered such service, and it was the best welcome I've ever received in all my travels. Everything was so thoughtfully thought out, every detail, so much attention and care. The owner himself is truly unique; it's clear he loves his hotel and brings many new ideas to it. He's genuinely welcoming and ready to help with any questions. Compared to other hotels, he responds to requests immediately. We were greeted with cool mango juice and a refreshing face mask. The room is spacious, with a unique interior, a separate kitchen where you can make tea and coffee, a water cooler, and a refrigerator. This is the first hotel in Sri Lanka where we didn't have to wait for food; everything was served as quickly as possible. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. The breakfast was so beautifully presented that we even took a photo of it. The owner also gave us some nice souvenirs as a keepsake. We were very pleased and surprised by this reception; it was top-notch!

Es war alles sehr sauber, wunderschön eingerichtet und wir hatten einen tollen Service. Der Besitzer hat uns einen Fahrer vermittelt, welcher sehr zuverlässig und nett war (der Fahrer war so freundlich, dass er uns am nächsten Tag direkt noch nach sigiriya gefahren hat). Wir sind sehr spät angekommen, da wir in der Nacht gelandet sind. Wir wurden trotzdem sehr freundlich begrüßt, mit einem kleinem Willkomenseis und kalten Handtüchern. Der Besitzer ist wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und angenehmen. Wir können jedem wirklich nur empfehlen in dieser Unterkunft unter zu kommen. Wir werden zu 100% wieder hingehen wenn wir aus colombo zurückfliegen. Nicht zu vergessen, das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker und umfangreich. Vielen Dank für den tollen Start in unsere Reise!

The building was so beautiful. I was greeted by the owner with a cold towel and a mango ice lolly. He burnt incense next where we were sitting and took some time to ask some questions about my trip. It was just such an amazing welcome. Dream was beautiful, clean and nice and I was given us a photo tour of the hotel. The breakfast was a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and was so delicious. I was given a hand written card and a scrunchie, it was such a kind gesture. I would definitely recommend and go back! Thank you for everything 🙏

I didn’t check out the local area so it’s not that I didn’t like it I just didn’t see it

I don’t usually write reviews, but this stay earned one. It was our first night in Sri Lanka and it set the tone for the whole trip. The place is beautiful, spotless and full of character. Ashane, the host, went well beyond what we expected: he talked us through the practical basics of travelling in Sri Lanka, sorted out our transport, and even helped us fix a broken camera charger. Breakfast was excellent. And all of this at a remarkably good price. I can’t recommend it enough.

Nothing about the stay itself. Negombo as a destination is fine for one night, there isn’t too much to see or do beyond that. But that’s the town, not the accommodation!

Still Waters Artistry is the perfect first stop in Negombo after landing in Sri Lanka, full 5-star rating from me. The villa boasts artistic architecture with tidy and cozy rooms. Host Ashane was incredibly thoughtful and prepared two authentic Sri Lankan breakfasts for us, which tasted absolutely amazing. We lost our way due to navigation issues, and Ashane offered tremendous help, guiding us patiently to the property. He warmly recommended the nearby lagoon boat trip and shared lots of practical local travel tips. The location is convenient, close to the fish market and beach. A few small improvements would make the stay flawless: more clothes hanging racks, better room ventilation, and slippers for bathroom use. Highly recommended for first-time travelers to Sri Lanka!

After a long journey to Sri Lanka we got a friendly welcome from Ashane and could go in our room very early to rest a bit. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the typical Sri Lankan breakfast we got. Definitely a hotel I'd recommend!

Every was very good.

We booked this accomodation due to its good reviews and were not disappointed. The host is so kind, sweet and thoughtful, the house a real beauty, our room was big, comfortable and modern, and the breakfast plentiful and savory. Granted, the location is not ideal for beach-goers, but driver services are cheap enough that this shouldn't dissuade anybody from giving it a try.

I stayed here for two nights at the end of my three weeks in Sri Lanka as I needed somewhere to relax that was also close to the airport and it ended up being my favorite place I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and appointed with attention to little details like a nice tufted cushion on the frame above the stairway so you don't hit your head show how much Ashane and his wife care about their place. Like the rest of the hotel, my room was also spotless and tastefully furnished. The bathroom was also great as it was nice having a shower that wasn't dumping water into the rest of the bathroom. The waterfall shower was also fantastic. There was a kitchenette area with a drinking water dispenser. Breakfast was excellent, and was different each morning I had it. For other meals, they've partnered with some local restaurants that they know are good, so you can just choose what you want from their menu and they'll have it ordered and delivered to your room pretty quickly, which I took advantage of a couple of times. Ashane and his wife were such genuinely warm and friendly people and really wanted to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Wish I could have stayed a little longer!

The lighting in my room was a little dim but it wasn't a big deal.

Beautifully designed room, staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They even wrote us a card and gave us some small gifts when we left, despite only staying for one night.

Wow - what a lovely place. We felt at home from the very moment we arrived. Ashane is such a warm, welcoming, and open-hearted host; after only a short time, it already felt as if we had known him for years. The rooms are beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Little touches - like the refreshing mango ice cream upon arrival or the fragrant oil candle filling the room with a calming scent - made our stay feel truly special and easily one of our favorite experiences in Sri Lanka. We were genuinely sad that we could stay for only one night before heading to the airport, which was conveniently just a 15-20 minute tuk-tuk ride away. We would have loved to stay longer and would definitely come back again.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel-style house for anyone wishing to rest before or after a long journey to Sri Lanka. Few rooms, quiet place, with hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay more pleasant, excellent local recommendations included. Very short and cheap tuk-tuk rides to and from town, where plenty of restaurants await. Breakfast is very good, and lunch and dinner can be ordered from a nearby local restaurant, which is also excellent.

Ashane is a very welcoming host and genuinely wants to help regarding local information and arranging transport or food. Still waters has been beautifully designed and is located in a quiet part of Negombo. The place is spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend 👌

Super für Anfang oder Ende der Reise, weil die Unterkunft in der Nähe vom Flughafen ist. Der Gastgeber Ashane war so lieb und nett, wirklich die freundlichste Person auf unserer Reise. Er hat uns viel geholfen und war sehr verständnisvoll, als wir in Sri Lanka gestrandet sind (wegen dem Krieg im Iran). Das Frühstück ist zudem mega lecker, viel und abwechslungsreich. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und nochmals danke, Ashane!

Still waters is definitely a must visit. The place is super peaceful, pretty and the staff is extremely kind, warm and welcoming. This was our first stop in Sri Lanka, and it couldn’t be any better. Highly recommend to stay at still waters artistry. Great location for exploring Negombo, we stayed for 1 night at the end of our trip as only 20 minutes from the airport. The owner is very kind and is on hand to help with anything you need, he gave us some great recommendations of where to go and what to do whilst in Negombo. Room was brilliant, air con, good amenities. You are able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. We opted for breakfast the next day, traditional Sri Lankan breakfast which was delicious! Best hoppers we had throughout the whole trip!

Excellent stay at still waters! This was our first night in Sri Lanka and Ashane went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We were greeted with welcome refreshments and given a free room upgrade. The interior of the house was beautiful and it was very easy to go on a lagoon tour just steps away from the property. Everything. From the moment I arrived, Ashane welcomed me with such warmth and care. I felt instantly at ease. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The attention to detail is incredible and there is such a calming atmosphere. You can eat delicious food from the comfort of your own balcony if you wish. The boat trip next to the property was one of the highlights of my trip. I am so grateful to have found this place and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Negombo. I cannot wait to return.

Ashane and his family have created the most beautiful and welcoming space. Truly a one of a kind stay! Our flight was delayed and didn’t arrive until after midnight but it was no problem and we were greeted by Ashane on arrival. The breakfast was also so delicious! You have to stay here if you’re in Negombo.

We were so lucky to find this accommodation for our last two days in Sri Lanka. This place is beautiful, thoughtful, and inspiring. You can truly see that the owners put their minds into creating something special. Though what really stands out is the hospitality - the owner is one of the kindest people we met in Sri Lanka. This was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. Absolutely exceptional ! We have paid over double the price for accommodation that didn’t match the incredibly high levels of comfort and hospitality offered at Still Waters. For us it was like an oasis of calm and luxury...a beautiful environment which has been carefully and intelligently designed to reflect the architecture and culture of Sri lanka. Stunning! Our hosts were so generous in terms of their time, what they arranged for us and the little extra touches that they provided. Really can't recommend this hotel enough. We felt like royalty. This is the equivalent of a lovely boutique hotel in the UK, in terms of quality and comfort of the room. And the host Ashane couldn't have been more helpful. This included his local knowledge and sorting out transport to our next destination.

Ashane is een van de liefste hosts die we ooit hebben ontmoet. Na een lange reis stond hij ons vrolijk op te wachten en bood ons een verfrissend ijsje en handdoekje aan. Alles wat we nodig hadden. De kamer was indrukwekkend mooi en het bed erg fijn. Zou niet misstaan in een 5-sterren hotel. Jammer dat we de volgende ochtend alweer weg moesten. Misschien dat we aan het einde van de reis nog terugkomen.

Zeer betrokken host. Niets is te veel. volledig nieuw modern en ruim huis en kamer. lokatie is prima , met tuk tuk ben je overal in een paar minuten voor nog geen euro. Het was onze laatste overnachting en moesten vroeg op. We werden om 5:30 uitgezwaaid.

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser wunderbaren Unterkunft war etwas ganz Besonderes. Schon beim Betreten spürt man, wieviel Herzblut und Kreativität in jedem Detail steckt. Neben dem außergewöhnlichen Ambiente sorgen Ashane und Udi für eine sehr entspannte Atmosphäre - mit einem herzlichen Empfang, einem leckeren singalesischen Frühstück sowie guten Tipps für Unternehmungen und Weiterreise. Die beiden haben uns einen perfekten Bustransfer nach Sigiriya zu einem sehr guten Preis organisiert. Mit dem Tuktuk ist man in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum von Negombo, wir sind zu allen Sights gelaufen. Abendessen kann auf Wunsch in einem Restaurant bestellt werden und wird auf feinstem Porzellan im Haus oder auf dem eigenen Balkon serviert. Es ist ein Ort voller Charme, Kreativität und Persönlichkeit - absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die das Besondere suchen. Herzlichen Dank an Ashane und Udi für den perfekten Aufenthalt.

Eine Unterkunft, bei der jedes Detail stimmt! Man wird persönlich vom Gastgeber begrüßt, der einem beim Gepäck behilflich ist. Es wird einem direkt ein kühles Tuch sowie ein Getränk bzw. wahnsinnig leckeres selbstgemachtes Mangoeis angeboten. Die Unterkunft selbst ist super stylisch, fast ein wenig orientalisch anmutend. Es riecht überall sehr angenehm, es ist hochwertig eingerichtet und wirkt alles absolut neuwertig. Man hat 2 Küchen zur freien Verfügung. Das Zimmer ist weitläufig, hat einen eigenen Balkon, auf dem man den Tag ausklingen lassen kann. Zum Zimmer gehört ein eigenes Bad mit Regendusche. Ausreden gibt es die Möglichkeit, sein Gefährt (wir hatten ein TukTuk gemietet) sicher auf dem Anwesen abzustellen. Der Gastgeber war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar, hat einen mit Empfehlungen für vor Ort Aktivitäten unterstützt und war insgesamt wahnsinnig freundlich und zuvorkommend.
