One word says it all “peaceful” Really enjoyed the calmness about the hotel.

The room felt a little claustrophobic and not enough space The mattress on the bed was very springy and uncomfortable to sleep on.

Hotel is very dated. Needs work doing to upgrade the rooms. Squeaky floorboards in room, big gap under door, very poor value for money.

Location was perfect, loads to do in the local area or you could just sit outside on veranda with a beautiful sea view

Quite a few stairs got lost lots of corridors! Shower head was broken we did not get chance to tell anyone as we left next morning needs to be fixed! Dining room downstairs

We had a cleaning issue that was quickly resolved by reception staff and the manager.

Room brilliant. We had the balcony as it was a treat weekend away. Loved outside the singer 2 till 4 on sat. Really good songs

Room very small and unkempt for the money it was a disappointment very very small bathroom struggled with size of the shower, towels not very clean looking and I recommend in this heat that they should maybe provide a fan especially for the rooms with no balcony or small windows,dirty tea spoons the toilet roll holder that the toilet roll in use goes on was loose and the small towel holder by the sink and the plug chain was nearly falling off, but I was happy enough that the bedding was clean

Perfect location right on the seafront. Booked a standard double but was given a family room with a sea view. Staff, facilities & food were good.

Excellent staff always let me check in early & always willing to help with any issues. The room is stayed in was a decent size & is just as good as any 3 star hotel I've stayed in ( This is rated 2) lucky enough to get a free parking spot outside so I saved a few quid on parking fees. I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions, the location is just right for me as it is next door to a well known pub chain & fairly close to town.

Unlucky not to get a Smart TV this time but will be going back soon.

Flimsy lock on the room door and the safety latch on the window was broken, very easy to fall out of window. A bit of a squeeze to get around the beds

Although the hotel is clean attention to detail in rooms is lacking, I found a few marks around the room that would come off with a wipe and TV was dusty, bed was comfy but squeaky due to metal frame

It’s still family run which is lovely as your face is still recognizable when you get there and they’re all so lovely

Great Hotel in great position, staff are very helpful pleasant, free wi fi, disabled access, parking, regular onsite entertainment, public bar onsite very reasonable prices. Room very clean as was bathroom, Right opposite beach, 5 minute walk to shopping area, lots of bars, restaraunts close by.

We were informed that we could not have breakfast as the chef was ill but the lady on reception was very nice & gave me a parking space & was more than reasonable I think that the hotel should inform people that the parking at the hotel is chargeable

The facilities in the room are a little outdated, no complimentary toiletries or hygiene products such as hand soap. The bathroom/shower facilities could do with a deep clean.

For the price the room was very small, the shower was so bad couldn’t even use it (no pressure and no heat) plus a member of staff actually opened our room with a key at 2.30am for reasons they could not explain???

Lack of parking, staff not particularly helpful on arrival due to the parking situation and we had travelled two hires and didn’t know the area. The room was expensive for what it was, where it was situated and also very hot but no fans available or the ability to leave the door open as only doors no windows as opened up onto the balcony/patio area of the hotel.

The fact that nobody told us that there was a wedding going on and a birthday party as we were walking through in bikinis felt very uncomfortable from the beach

Beautiful old building. We booked a double sea-view room with a balcony, and the hotel was fantastic, friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was good too.

Good check in time 2pm unlike many hotels that are later,no problem with parking had the last free space. Staff are always extremely helpful and welcoming. Location is superb close enough to the front & an easy short cut into town. Have stayed at this hotel on many occasions so I can honestly recommend.

The balcony and view from the room was good.

Our welcome from the reception staff was poor. He sent us up in a lift which didn’t get us anywhere near our room! We had to go back down and then carry our luggage up a large flight of stairs. The room was basic, cleaned to an average standard. Bedding was white and clean but the pillows were very old and lumpy. The towels were thin and brown in colour, hopefully clean?? Breakfast was very poor. If you have any type of dietary requirements, forget it. Don’t try asking for an extra egg, it is strictly one per person. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming though. It was extremely noisy overnight and we struggled to sleep. Overall a very expensive stay.

Lack of parking. Bathroom not cleaned well enough. Filthy windows. Used towel and flannel and soap and shower gel left in the bathroom. Very cheap metal bed frames with cheap mattress. Worn out chairs on the balcony. Awful hotel for the money £171 a night. At breakfast asked for more coffee to be made as only the dregs in the pot when we came down. Waitress just filled it up with water and didn't add coffee so it was like dishwater.

The rooms very basic and clean enough except the bins were not emptied when we arrived and only emptied two days later.

It was a good location, everything was clean tidy staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, food was really good, entert in the evening was also very good such a great atmosphere
