It was modern and comfy with the perfect setting and surrounding, The fireplace added that something extra. The pictures on the internet doesn't do justice to this place. You have to be there to experience its beauty.

OMG, the cottage in the Midlands is GIVING LIFE ! Jacqui, you went above and beyond from booking to checkout – nothing was missing! Perks of the little dam, fishing, cattle, and horses. Definitely coming back.

Guests should bring sleeping masks if they’re sensitive to lights, there is a blinking red light from the smoke alarm and other red and green LEDS, but many places I’ve stayed have this so it’s good travel advice in general :)

We had a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed snuggling up in the comfortable bed with our books and an amazing view. The indoor fire kept the room warm and the shower water was hot.

The property is easy to locate and David the staff- was so lovely. He was helpful and friendly. The cottage was so clean and organised. The owner- Jacqui, kept in touch with my husband and even left a bottle of bubbles for our Anniversary- so thoughtful and sweet!

Very cute cottage, with the a nice dam in front - perfect for a dip or a sundowner. Good amenities - well-appointed kitchen, braai, etc. Was just there for a weekend, but could for sure have stayed longer. Key handover was easy. :)

What a great little retreat! It was so scenic and peaceful that we extended our stay for another night. The cottage has everything thing that one could wish for and the bed is super comfortable. The fishing was superb and I caught and released 25 bass on the afternoon of day 1, 39 on day 2 and 5 on the morning of day 3. Nothing huge, but fun nonetheless. Thanks Jacqui and we will definitely be back soon.

If anything could be improved, it would be the size of the Braai. The little piggy braai is a bit small.

We had a wonderful stay at Oakridge cottage on the dam. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views and a real sense of privacy. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Sitting by the water and enjoying the calm surroundings was the highlight of our stay. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and escape the noise of everyday life. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway.

The location seems awkward, but the cottage is really a little gem. it seems strange as it is next to a road. but the dam, cows, sheep, geese all contribute to the ambiance of the cottage. all is available that you may require. such a gem just off the road

we travelled far and wanted to braai the little piglet themed braai was not great, and we finished off in the oven. this did not detract from the overall excellent stay.

The farm and dam

Oakridge Farm exceeded our expectations. From the minute we entered the gates we were blown away by the property. The views, the quiet being right up close to farm animals and also being able to take our fur kids with who truly thought that this place was heaven. We never felt uneasy as the cottage has a very secure fence all the way around so when it comes to our doggies that made us relax. knowing they were secure and able to do their thing. We were left to just soak up the farm life experience. The location of the Cottage is magnificent, right on the lake with 360-degree views of the farm. The Cottage itself was perfect for myself my hubby and 2 Scottish Terriers. All open plan with a cute fireplace. Staff made sure we were fully stocked up with firewood throughout our stay. The location of the farm is 1 minute off Nottingham Road which was awesome when we wanted to get out and about. This was truly a wonderful holiday that we will not forget and is definitely our "go to" moving forwards. Thanks Oakridge Farm for the Memories See you soon!

Beautiful situated with everything we needed, and paradise for pets.

What a beautiful setting in the middle of a farm. Dogs loved their daily walks. Coffee on the patio watching the Nguni come down for water was special.

A quiete property easy to access with a lovely view. Everything was so well thought about inside the place.

I’m a tall person and the bed was a little short. But that should not be marked down at the host. Thanks for the firewood. It was quite damp and took a while to burn. A roll of paper towel or napkins would have gone a long way.

The Cottage was the best ever. If you need a place to recharge and get the best peace ever the Cottage is for you. My Abby had a ball with all the walking on the farm

The only slight negative, although no fault of the owners, is the traffic noise from the road above. Despite that, everything was fantastic.

Beautiful location set on a serene lake. Ideal if you’re looking for some time out and solitude, however it’s still close enough to good Resturant’s, and activities a short car ride away. The host was kind to lend us a fishing rod, but suggest you bring one along to fish. Good hikes in the area as well.

The location was perfect for where I needed to be, easy to find too. It is a few kilometres from the N3 highway, Brahman Hills Hotel and BP Garage.

This was the best little gem we could ever have found! We will most certainly make an effort to return to Oakridge. We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the farm. All the facilities in the room were of high quality. The host ensured that we were comfortable. Cannot wait to return.

Really enjoyed our stay, The host was so welcoming. Also assisted us with the courier of our cellphone chargers which we had forgotten at the cottage. Place was very neat and cozy.

The property is amazing! Serene, peaceful and beautifully equipped. The fireplace is such a bonus. Curl up with a book on the couch and look out over the dam. The dam is stunning. The cottage is also super private and you relax and leave the city behind almost immediately. Perfectly located close to the Windfalls and the Midlands Meander. Jacqui and Alan are such accommodating hosts. We will definitely be back!
