Very Clean house.
Nothing at all
Not a lot
Put into wrong apartment, 3 year old daughter found a tablet on her bedroom floor (god knows what it was) whole site is tired, whole place needs a refurb
The location is not by a beach but is in a prefect location near the A30 to explore Cornwall, the facilities were good for the children and the bar was a good way to relax after a long day exploring.
Parking could have been better, but overall, no complaints.
Nothing very bad kept the property and very poorly maintained and managed
Everything.. from the beginning while booking nothing was mentioned like you have to bring your own towels, toilet rolls, soap etc.. even the basics were not provided and the property was not maintained well beds were so uncomfortable the mattress had springs which was porking while sleeping. Nothing was right even we had an accident where the bathroom tiles fell on us and when we reported the incident they never came to fix and not even came to ask if we were ok and they knew that we had one toddler one learning disabled person and one elderly person
Spacious. Comfortable
Wasn’t clean
The positives: 1. Spacious 2. Clean 3. Warm
The negatives: 1.. no wifi 2.. no soap/washing liquid
The sports bar was the best bit Fab location for all beaches and towns
The accommodation didnt feel clean, the outside pool was grubby and very unkempt. One day we booked swimming and two of the younger girls were rude and not helpful. Beds were uncomfy and sofa very worn out.
Property good size. Good location. Property clean and beds comfy with good facilities.
Good location, the complex was well equipped with plenty to do for the kids.
The cottage we were staying in was very dated and required quite a bit of maintenance. From broken bathroom locks to water leaking from the upstairs shower through the lights into the living room. Additionally I reported ants on more than one occasion and both times was told that someone would come but no one did. Staff were pleasant but pretty dismissive and just made notes of my complaints.
The resort was clean, comfortable and very well maintained — it really felt like a home away from home. Having a dishwasher in the accommodation was a great bonus and made our stay even easier. The on-site amenities were excellent, with swimming pools and a really well-equipped gym. There was also so much for the children to do. They absolutely loved the arcade, the huge outdoor slide, laser tag, the two playgrounds and the tennis court. There was plenty to keep the whole family entertained, and the kids had an amazing time.
The main downside was that towels were not provided, so we either had to bring our own or pay around £50 for a family of eight, which felt quite expensive. It would also have been much more convenient to have a washing machine within the cottage rather than having to use the resort laundry facilities. A wash and dry cost around £15, and unfortunately the clothes came out smelling worse than they did before they were washed, which was disappointing.
Lovely, comfortable and spacious house. Liked the fact that the package comes with some free activities.
Ideal place to stay. Just out of Newquay.
The village was tired, as was our home. It was adequate but looked dated and some items were loose and past their best. That said, it was perfectly adequate for our needs. Large social area and kitchen
For the cost you’d expect a lot better
Bit dated
Very child friendly
Better facilities for food
Accommodation was lovely.
The pool was small and no lifeguards on duty.
Was very clean and comfortable.
Booked few cottages , requested to have nearby but was far from each other.
Everything. We have been back 3 times now. Each year its nice to see familiar faces. They have added more equipment in the gym which we love, the new darts game, and added game room is awsome too.
Nothing. Everything is amazing here; it's a great family holiday. Bringing nieces and nephews and their families next year too.
Great location to Poole doc.
On arrival our toilet was dirty, oven had old food stuck to the grill and duvet on our bed was stained.
Very little
Paid for wifi but wasn’t working
Plenty of decent beaches nearby as well as as a driving range, padel and Padstow/Newquay not far. Co-op is 5 mins drive away.
No wifi at all in the house. We were told it depended which house you were allocated. This was so unhelpful when I needed to be in contact with work. Also hardly any channels on the TV and no freeview etc which would have been very helpful in the evening with teenagers. As others said the whole resort feels very tired, parking is difficult and we did not have a nice area to sit out in the evening.
Homely feel
Small of Wet dog arrival - brought air fresheners so no biggie
Rubbish!!! We liked nothing
Booking was in place for a year, it was a 7 night stay, got there, they couldn't find the booking as they hadn't taken payment 2 days before, so just cancelled the booking, didn't pick up the phone or anything booking.com app said pay at the reception and our booking was guaranteed, it never sais cancelled and was active. The place is so run down, its very grubby, public areas are dirty, no staff in the evening, couldn't even get a spare sheet, this place is not a resort and should not be called a resort on the website, pictures are so outdated, it does not look like the pictures, please don't waste your hand earned money on this place, a pretty b&b would be worth it over this place, worst experience ever!
Really good resort, lots of activities on site and about 20 minutes from Newquay. The 2 bed house we stayed in was good value and had all you could need.
Bed mattresses were a bit cheap. You have to book the indoor and outdoor pool which was a bit annoying. They have local members of the gym and pool so that gets busy.
Nothing
Awful foul smell
The staff are always happy to help and with a smile too.
The house was very rundown and had a funny smell to it the travel cot had a smell to it to my baby wouldn't sleep in it at all. The pool needs a clean and it's very small and no lifeguard on at all, the outdoor pool was very much the same and again no lifeguard there. The water slides are very expensive especially when you have more then one child 🙄.
Only 15 minutes into Newquay town. Close to all beaches. Kids loved the outdoor pool
House had a horrible smell, dead flies around the house. Couldnt open the windows because of all the spiders and weds around the windows. Not Internet. No shop on site or entertainment for the amount of money I had to pay for the stay I wasnt happy
4 bedrooms and 3 showers, kitchen well stocked with plates and cups. Large fridge, comfy sofas. Access to gym and classes which our family loved
Mattresses in 2 of the doubles were very thin and not comfortable. Pillows not good and lots of ants.
Size/ space
Sofas
Location was very good everything was nearby sight location was between 1and 2 hours
There's nothing like I did not like every thing was perfect
The facilities were great. We used both the inside and outside pool. Staff were all friendly.
The only thing was the pet friendly house wasn’t really pet friendly. Stair gate to stop the dogs getting upstairs would have been helpful and a fenced outside section so the dogs could go outside without being on a lead.
The property was clean and close to facilities. Got a early easy check in.
Location was abit out the way for us .the resort itself wasn't what we expected. Thought it would have a little shop on site . Entertainment etc
Ease of access to rest of coornwall
Bar closed on 2 nights probably because early in season
I like the Location and Amenities.
There is nothing about.
Everywhere clean and staff were amazing. The house we stayed in was unreal , very clean , spacious with 4 bedrooms and the kitchen area well equipped
The only thing was that the Wi-Fi didn't work and with grandkids wanting to go on phones , iPads etc wasn't ideal but we got round it with hotspots etc
Nothing at all no services provided, poor services
Flies in the house, less toilet roll
nice clean and spacious
Tv didn’t work properly and required re tuning a bit and wasn’t provided with a back door key but this was quickly resolved
Nothing
Everything
The swimming pool
The staff were rude , besides 1 member . The fact you had to pay for towels , had to book online for the play centre even tho it was empty , I was made to do this whilst my son was visibly upset and due to the pathetic WiFi it took 10 minutes then when we got in there we was the only people in there !!!
Location was good
Bad weather
Nice holiday resort, houses with lots of space for privacy and also spending time together with families or friends. Nice and clean. Fully equipped kitchen, enough for spending a few days away. Three bathrooms is a big plus. Nice area outside, would've been even better if the weather was nice, especially for the outdoor pool and sitting outside. Nice indoor heated pool, you actually find here all what you need. We've been here in the past for camping, and this year we booked a holiday house and both were great, but just because of unpredictable UK weather, holiday house is a better option. Short driving distance from Newquay and many beautiful places to visit within one hour around. We will definitely come back again.
I didn't find any grocery shop in a resort area, would be great if you forgot something or needed something urgently. Also some small nice restaurant or pub would be great. Maybe some entertainment too? But overall we like this resort anyway.
The only good thing about this place was the location. Easy to get to other places and some really good beaches a short drive away. We had wifi and the size of the property was decent but that was about it.
The house we were allocated was directly behind the leisure centre. Initially everything looked ok. One of the two external doors wouldn’t lock. I don’t know what was up with the mechanism as it would lock when the door was open but as soon as you closed the door the lock wouldn’t turn all the way. I went to the check in desk and reported it, this was within the first three hours of being on site. Was told that maintenance would be there to sort it asap. Went about our evening and returned to the house. The next morning we decided we would have a day on site and to wait for maintenance, we waited. And waited. And waited. Over the week we were there maintenance never arrived. It seems like the safety and security of their customers isn’t actually a priority. In order to enjoy our holiday I ended up putting a chair up against the door (it was the back door that had half the door as windows) in order to make it look like we weren’t using it. I still felt very uncomfortable leaving the house unlocked so we never ventured far and were only ever out for 4 hours maximum in a day. I am a DV survivor and this whole thing put my anxiety through the roof, safety should always be the highest priority. There were multiple lights that didn’t work or flickered, black mould growing in the kitchen window sill and en suite shower tray. With being behind the leisure centre we had to deal with the air conditioning units going all night and the music was left on in the gym all night with the windows left open. Beds were hard and pillows were flat, hard and well used. And on the 4th day there were ants downstairs. I honestly wish I had booked elsewhere, I came away anxious, stressed and exhausted.
The property was spacious and well suited for our group of four adults and five children. The house was generally clean, well maintained, and provided enough space for everyone to relax comfortably.
The weather was quite hot during our stay, and the property did not have air conditioning or adequate cooling. When we opened the windows, the flies and small insects came inside. The beds were also not very comfortable, and the mattresses felt warm. I experienced itching during my stay, which made me question the cleanliness of the bedding.
Property was in poor condition
Not worth the money paid
Loved the area, very quiet, only a 16 minute drive from Newquay and 7 minute drive from Morrisons. lots to do on site. They have a gym, indoor and outdoor pool, play area, soft play, arcades, sports bar which has a good few selections of beers, ciders. They have a pool table inside and a football table which is a great thing to pass the time especially with older children or friends and family also they have laser tag on site and I just thought it was great! property was clean. Would definitely stay again.
Only thing I didn’t like was the communal changing area at the pool - made me feel very exposed and not good when you have young boys that you have to take in there when ladies and children are having to get naked together. I did see some people just throwing on a dry robe though to then go home to get changed which is a good idea in some way. Either way made it exciting I suppose trying to keep up the towel while getting changed to avoid exposure 🤣
Great place to stay with family out of season. We used the pool on site and visited nearby towns and the beach
Appearance of accommodation a bit tired but for the price we paid it was ideal
Loved the accommodation as we chose the one with the hot tub. Rooms were exactly what you need. Towels provided. Full kitchen with everything you need and nice living room. Pool within walking distance and bar close by also. Nice sauna and cold plunge facility.
The outside pool was not open during our stay, nor were other various advertised facilities. The pool got a bit too loud in the evening. A bit out in the middle of no where, so lots of driving to get anywhere.
This was an excellent property we booked 2 4 bed properties the spa bath was a fabulous experience for the grandchildren they loved it
Nothing
Easy to find/locate straight off the A30. Well equipped cottage although slightly tatty. Dents in the walls and the drawer covering coming away. It looked and felt a little tired. It needed a spruce up.
See above
The indoor pool, the soft play area. The service was good.
The parking spaces were a bit of challenge
Warm and clean
Patio doors gave no privacy hideous to park
Clean and warm
Area was messy. Rubbish across site. Parking near stay was poor. Definitely different to what is advertised online
Misssold.
Canceled our booking because they dident want to clean a bigger house, put is in something completely different from what we booked. So instead of a 4 bed holiday home we were places in a 2 bed 1980’s council house. And if you stay in that house, you are unable to use the facilities. Total waste of money. Awful site, staff where greatly unhelpful. If I can save anyone from spending there money here then great! There are so many other places that will look after you and your family. Filthy dirty, poorly maintained. Total dump
Clean and comfortable
Peaceful
I loved this place. This will be amazing in the summer. It’s has everything needed for a home from home.
No WiFi but that’s not a deal breaker for me
Nice accommodation, clean and well presented.
The property was fine but there was nothing open after 7pm. The pub was closed so nowhere to get food and after a 6 hour drive I was quite hungry.
Excellent resort , great location . And we loved our holiday home
The park was good everything was clean and the accommodation was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful with our complaints. We used the indoor pool and we were able to book the slots we wanted. The amusements were open and well equipped though some machines weren't working. There were outdoor facilities like tennis courts and play areas we didn't use due to the weather.
My only issue was poor advertising/information we booked this resort over others as it had advertised all of its facilities as open however once we arrived we found the outdoor pool closed this wasn't an issue being out of season. The problem became that despite being advertised as open at this time of year the onsite pub/restaurant were closed as was the onsite shop meaning last minute runs to the shop for supplies and meals were needed. It would be nice to be able to book accommodation that caters to pets and hot tubs as it seem only one or the other available I also noticed only properties with hot tubs had a fenced of area where that would be beneficial for guests with pets also.
Spacious accommodation but looking a little tired now and in need of some redecoration. Nice and warm and comfortable.
Being charged £70 to bring our dog, which is excessive when compared with elsewhere. Have since found other alternative locations where the dog charge is £10 and you get a doggy welcome pack. For £70 we got nothing.
Beautiful area
No working hob, A lovely lady who worked their doing gardening helped us saying she would let someone know then a little later 1 man from I believe from maintenance came and told us the oven needed replacing and would report to maintenance team, we also couldn’t have a bath due to hot water lasting no longer than a minute, also bath water leaked through to the hallway! We tried to report the issue straight away but the reception phone wasn’t answered once the whole stay!, every time we had an issue my partner had to walk to reception to be told they would contact maintenance who never came until the day before we left whilst we was out! and everything was still not working! We tried to book swimming ourselves and twin children online through our leisure pass which wasn’t working my partner again went to reception to be told they couldn’t help because it has to be done online! And lastly being told about a lovely pub that was closed the whole time we was there! As much as it was a beautiful area unfortunately for us it was wasted money not being able to enjoy our stay and staff came across like they didn’t care nor were interested to help with any issues! Apart from the lovely gardener!
On booking the holiday we were given the impression facilities would be open. Laser tag open once Shop opened once, bar and restaurant 3 times between 5 and 9 , mini golf closed, segway closed, slip and slide only open weekends, amusements closed at 9pm never open before 6pm. No wifi in the apartments . Staff in reception/leisure centre unhelpful with any of the above. Soft play area was not staffed and left uncleaned for days as we're the toilets, clearly not checked and cleaned, bins overflowing, loo rolls left on the wet floor as the dispenser had been removed.
The gym. That's it.
Nothing happening here whatsoever. No entertainment during day or evening. Outdoor pool very dated and not heated so not one person was swimming. Anything that was on site would either not be open or closed before 9 pm (Pub/mini arcade) Basic accommodation, the majority are empty as many privately owned. The gym was about the only descent thing here. Indoor pool was okay but far too small and no life guard either. Mini golf very old and dated. Food inside the pub to when it did happen to be open was overpriced and wasn't that great either. Needless to say won't be returning. Please don't come here with young kids they'll be bored out of their minds.
Remember staying here with friends and have been with family in the past too. However property is very worn and needing some love!
No window restrictions unsafe for our children Loud and inconsiderate neighbours ( loud music and fire near their back door) with no response from on call
The resort itself
There was no strong wi fi in this resort, also just 1 toiletries, which could do some more such as tissues and towels.
The location was convenient for exploring Cornwall, and the children were initially excited about the advertised facilities.
Nearly everything else. The accommodation was poorly maintained, unsafe, and misrepresented. The fridge failed, spoiling over £200 of food; a major leak poured through a ceiling light; the downstairs toilet was blocked and stank throughout the property. There was no washing machine or dryer despite being listed, no usable Wi-Fi, and the outdoor pool was unheated and dirty. Staff were completely unhelpful, reception ignored every complaint, and we were forced to leave a day early due to the unbearable conditions.
The house was relatively clean but had a strong musky smell. It was quiet. The food in the onsite pub was really good even though there was a 40 minute wait.
There was no WiFi in the house. Went to reception and pointed out that we couldn’t get on WiFi. The girl on reception asked if I’d booked with booking.com and I replied yes. She said you’re in a house with no WiFi. She said that it was only available to us in communal areas. It is none existent and I was not able to access it at all. The mobile signal is so weak that this also wasn’t an option. We had to leave the site to get any signal at all. On one morning there was dog muck outside the door. The pool was fully booked so this was unavailable. The gym was available to members only in the evening despite being open until 11. Felt very like an old Pontins holiday and very run down. We did use the outside pool but it’s not heated. Considering it was nearly £1000 for 3 nights it is definitely not worth it.
Excellent place with the hot tub and all the facilities!! Worth the money. We had a lovely time.
It was very cosy and great location
It had no WiFi , and it definitely could’ve been cleaner. The balconies had definitely not been cleaned in a very long time. Also the water from every tap , you NEED to have a warning sign. The hot taps are EXTREMELY EXTREMELY HOT ….
Everything was great with our stay
Lovely location, really nicely decorated, huge property
Nothing
Pool was good, soft play was good for the children, gym was above expectations. Pub was very friendly and the food was good.
Our accommodation was a disappointment as the lights in the kitchen did not work (could barely see to cook/eat) some of the lounge lights didn’t work, majority of the lights in the downstairs bathroom didn’t work, couldn’t see to shave. we reported it at reception and were told that they had difficulty getting the transformers, we’re advised that they would replace them with others from another property but it wasn’t done before left. When using the upstairs shower we had water coming through the ceiling, a maintenance person came to have a look but nothing was done.
The gym was a good gym the staff are friendly,
The pub was not open.so the driver couldn't drink, the outside pool was shut, all the facilities were shut
Fantastic friendly staff, willing to go the extra mile. Great privacy
No WiFi
