Extrem freundliche Gastgeber und sehr leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen! Alles ist liebevoll eingerichtet und man fühlt sich direkt sehr wohl. Der Inhaber ist interessiert, gibt einem gute Reisetipps und Einblicke in die Kultur.

Es ist etwas weiter vom Zentrum gelegen. Zimmer, vor allem Badezimmer, entsprechen Sri Lanka Standard. Darauf weist die Unterkunft einen aber auch vorher hin. Hier sollte man also keine falschen Erwartungen haben.

L'Host e la sua famiglia sono stati incredibilmente gentili e accoglienti, la casa è bellissima. Si mangia benissimo. Non perdete l'occasione di fare la hike tra le piantagioni di the con loro.

Plasseringen var litt off i forbindelse med selve byen men det gjorde ikke så mye da vi bare var en natt. Betjeningen hjalp oss med transport og kjøp av biletter fra toget på nanu oya.

Such a welcoming and kind man! The room was really comfortable and had lots of blankets for the chilly weather! The owner was so helpful and arranged transportation for us, he even dropped us at the train station the next day too. Breakfast was delicious and fresh! We had a wonderful short stay here would definitely recommend!

Nous avons passé deux nuits ici et nous avons eu une excellente expérience. La chambre se situe à l’étage supérieur de la maison, vous aurez une vue incroyable sur les montagnes et - au loin - sur des chutes d’eau. L’hospitalité de la famille était tout simplement incroyable. On nous a offert de bons conseils pour visiter le secteur. Un petit restaurant se situe dans la maison et la nourriture y est excellente. Si vous cherchez un endroit authentique, ne cherchez plus.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Couy Heaven und können es jedem nur ans Herz legen. Super nette und zuvorkommende Hosts, die auch tolle Tipps geben für die Umgebung. Gemütliches Zimmer mit dicken Decken. Besonders zu empfehlen ist das Restaurant von den Gastgebern - super lecker. Vielen Dank!

Fijne kamer bij een hele lieve familie in huis. Heerlijke warme douche in dit koelere gedeelte van Sri Lanka. Ze hebben sinds een paar maanden ook n klein eethuisje waar je lekkere gerechten kunt krijgen met veel groenten uit de omgeving. Aanrader als je het leuk vindt om bij mensen thuis te verblijven.

Waar zal ik beginnen. Na het lezen van alle positieve reviews waren we overtuigd en hebben we direct geboekt. Niets is te veel gezegd. Wat een liefdevol en warme familie! We werden direct warm onthaald met een kopje thee. Shaveen heeft ons meegenomen op een fantastische hike tussen de theeplantages. Hij kon op een gepassioneerde manier veel vertellen over de omgeving en de mensen. Deze authentieke ervaring zullen we nooit meer vergeten. We zijn dankbaar voor de mooie dagen die deze familie ons bezorgd hebben. Ik wil dit iedereen aanraden!

Our very first homestay, and it was a wonderful experience! We felt looked after from the moment we walked through the door. The family are an absolute delight, and the accommodation was comfortable, with a lovely balcony and a beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent, and we also had an evening meal, which was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend staying here!

Herzlichkeit, Wärme und Komfort beschreibt unseren Aufenthalt wohl am besten. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich top. Wir hätten gerne mehr als nur 1 Nacht in der Unterkunft verbracht, was aber leider aufgrund des Endes unserer Reise nach Sri Lanka nicht möglich war. Die Gastgeber machten unseren Aufenthalt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Zentrum besonders. Zudem gibt es direkt im Gebäude ein hauseigenes Restaurant, das sehr empfehlenswert ist. Das Appartement selbst ist geräumig, sehr komfortabel und mit einem Balkon mit schöner Aussicht auf Nuwara Eliya ausgestattet. Vor allem die Qualität der Betten ist zudem positiv hervorzuheben. Jederzeit wieder.

Habitación en casa de una familia muy amable, te reciben con té y galletas, el desayuno está muy bien, te ayudan con todo, transporte, actividades y te indican las mejores cosas por hacer en Newura Eliya. La habitación está bien.

En la carretera, hay ruido, no apto para personas con movilidad reducida, si tu idea es el confort esto no es para ti...

Hele vriendelijke host familie! Kamer was ruim en goed schoon! Verder kan je ook heerlijk eten in het restaurant en de hike door de theevelden en fabriek met de vader van het gezin is echt een aanrader! Wij komen hier zeker terug!

Fijne kamer met een leuk balkon! De familie was hartstikke warm en erg behulpzaam. We hebben lekker ontbeten en ons verblijf was meer dan goed voor één nachtje. Tot slot had het bed een lekkere extra fleecedeken voor de kou :)

Die Familie, die dieses Homestay führt war sehr nett. :) Der Vater hat uns gegen einen Aufpreis an die Orte gefahren zu denen wir wollten. Dabei hat er uns regelmäßig etwas zur Landschaft erzählt und uns Tipps gegeben. ☺️ Das Frühstück war ebenfalls absolut ausreichend. Abends sollte man unbedingt das Curry in dem von ihnen geführten Restaurant essen. Das war wirklich unglaublich lecker

Although it's a bit out of town, tuk tuks are easy and cheap to use and get around and the hosts serve food, also there are good restaurants nearby and ability to order food. All in all location is not really a negative as it was nice to be staying a bit out of the main town

We verbleven 2 nachten bij Cozy Heaven. Je slaapt bij familie in huis. Een fantastische ervaring. De zoon biedt ook een hele leuke hike aan.

Perfect homestay for 3 nights, from the moment we arrived, luggage taken care of, we had lunch and drinks, it’s like going to your Auntie’s place, you don’t have to do anything. First evening went up the mountain to the waterfall, walked through the little community, all houses clustered together, lots of vegetables patches, only locals around, very warm and welcoming. The owner organised a tuk tuk for the next 2 full days, amazing landscape, view points, visit to Botanical gardens and temple included. Driver was really good and very knowledgeable, felt really safe going up and down the mountain. Dinner was amazing, jack fruits and soya beans curry and a lot of other vegetables. Plenty of fruits every day for breakfast, we even ordered things we wanted to eat, no problem at all. The sweet little girl is so friendly and chatty and very warm, I hugged her every day, she was the little helper, made sure we were comfortable. The owners are around every day, we were able to chat a lot. Taxi driver they organised to Tangalle was really good. It can get very cold in the evening so bring something warm. This is the way to experience how the locals live. They have opened a restaurant as well, really good value and excellent food

Je logeert bij de mensen in huis. We hebben ons nergens zo welkom en thuis gevoeld. Het hele gezin doet enorm zijn best om je verblijf nog beter te maken. We hebben meerdere tours gedaan met de eigenaar en zijn zoon. Dit een enorme aanrader. De kamer was groot met een eigen balkon. Het ligt niet heel centraal maar ze willen je overal naar toe brengen. Wat je zeker moet doen is bij hun avond eten. Dit was het beste wat wij in Sri Lanka hebben geproefd. Voor het eten en de mensen zouden wij al terug gaan. Het voelt echt als familie. Dus zeker een dikke aanrader

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place. At first, the family seemed warm and welcoming, but after a while, it felt more like a staged show than genuine hospitality. The father, who acted as our guide, was more of a taxi driver than an actual guide. We had agreed on a price for a daytour (important for us as budget travelers), even double-checked during the tour, but were still charged more in the end (12k instead of 10k). While he started off talkative, later on, he ignored our questions because he was tired, we suppose. Meals were tasty but again relatively expensive. If you stay here, you are expected to book a tour with either the father or son. These tours are costly options. There’s also no private sitting area; you only have a bedroom with a bathroom. On the positive side, the place was clean, the children speak good English, and the city itself is beautiful. We recommend visiting Bluefields and perhaps the waterfall nearby. Still, given the lack of space to relax and the extra costs added on top of the stay, this place did not meet our expectations. The accommodation may be cheap, but everything else quickly adds up.

The homestay family was kind and the breakfast was delicious.

The weather may have gotten colder because of the rain, but it was very cold when I slept. The water pressure in the bathroom wasn't good, and the towel wasn't replaced for two nights. The worst thing was that the pickup service and tour service had two people, so I got paid by doubling them all. It was a trip with my family. I just paid for it because I didn't want to ruin my feelings. I want to go to Sri Lanka next time, but for this reason, I want to pass Nuwara Elijah.

Sehr liebevolles und sauberes Zimmer. Die Gastgeber waren hilfsbereit und äußerst freundlich. Der Gastgeber steht für ein bisschen Geld auch als Fahrer bereit und am Abend wird auf Wunsch für die Geste gekocht. Wir bekamen ein wunderbares Curry. Ich kann die Unterkunft voll und ganz weiterempfehlen.

De allerbeste homestay waar wij hebben verbleven in Sri Lanka. De gastvrijheid kon niet beter. Het gezin was ongelofelijk lief en sprak vloeiend Engels. We werden meegenomen in de omgeving wat geweldig was, er werd heerlijk voor ons gekookt. Zou dit zeker aanraden!! Wij zijn meegenomen naar theeplantages en de natuur in. Ze organiseren echt tours die totaal niet toeristisch zijn en er wordt over alles nagedacht. Ook toen wij problemen hadden met onze tuktuk stonden ze voor ons klaar en hebben ze ons een hele dag geholpen. Echt beste verblijf van Sri Lanka!

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil et le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir même si le prix du repas était un peu plus cher qu'ailleurs au Sri Lanka.

L'emplacement est un peu loin du centre et pas très calme. Nous avons été réveillés par le jour et par le bruit. La vue de la chambre est face à la montagne mais aussi sur des bâtiments délabrés et des garagistes.

Cozy Heaven is a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of Nuwara Eliya, making it the perfect base for exploring this area. We arrived by train and our host, Sanjaya, met us at the station and took us to Cozy Heaven. At the moment, there is only one guest room which has a very comfortable large double bed. The ensuite bathroom has everything you need with plenty of hot water in the shower. It has a large balcony with a panoramic view of the mountains and Lovers' Leap waterfall is clearly visible. The whole family helped to make our stay as comfortable as possible and provided us with a wonderful and tasty breakfast. We decided to take our evening meal with the family and had a very delicious and plentiful meal with a selection of curries with rice followed by a dessert of curd and honey. The family speak fluent English and we really enjoyed our conversations with Shaveendi and Shaveen. We stayed for one night to break up the train journey, but there is so much to see in the area, we could have easily spent two days there. Nuwara Eliya get really cold at night, but we were cosy and comfortable, as warm blankets were provided. This is a very quaint and charming accommodation.

Hele vriendelijke familie. Er is maar 1 kamer en je zit bij de mensen thuis. Wij hebben er echt genoten. Ze regelde voor ons een taxi voor een eerlijke prijs van het station. Zo hoefde we niet in die chaos een taxi te regelen. Ook heeft die chauffeur ons meegenomen op een leuke tour naar een waterval en theefabriek. Uitzicht vanaf je balkon op lover's leap waterval. Heerlijk gegeten zowel ontbijt als avondeten(tegen betaling)

Het ligt een stukje buiten de stad, maar dat wisten wij al vooraf.

Ci hanno preparato una cena e una colazione ottimi, abbiamo anche ottenuto il loro aiuto per un paio di spostamenti e in particolare per un tour tra Kandy e Nuwara Eliya. The family made us feel very welcome. They picked us up from the train station and gave us a lot of information about Nuwara Eliya. Dinner was lovely and their son told us a lot about Sri Lanka which was very nice. Overall the stay was pleasant and lovely. We had some troubles with our train tickets and the owner helped us get new tickets. They are really lovely! Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful room in a home stay with an amazing view of the mountains and lovers leap waterfall from a balcony. We only stayed for one night but the family are very lovely and hospitable and made us feel right at home. They cooked us a lovely dinner after a long my day of travelling and exploring. Added bonus that they provided a tour around tea plantations, to a nearby waterfall and around the town for an affordable price and also picked us up and dropped us off at the train station for a small fee.

Our room was spotlessly clean and cozy, with an absolutely charming flower-filled balcony that made sunrise magical. Our host, Sanjaya, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He was so welcoming and caring, taking us to a gems shop and patiently waiting while we explored, helping us find perfect jackets, bringing us to amazing local restaurants, and showing us around Nuwara Eliya. The next morning after serving us a delicious homemade breakfast, he kindly drove us to the train station himself. What makes this place truly special is how the whole family makes you feel at home. If you want more than just accommodation but a genuine cultural experience with the kindest hosts, don't look further. Our highest recommendation! ✨

Everything was great, There was strange storm at night in Nuwara Eliya😇

We had such a great stay at Cozy Heaven, we had our own little room with bathroom and hot water! A little balcony with a nice view above some tea plantation. The best thing was however the family who made our stay the best! The whole family helped us with everything, the Mum cooked us some really great Rice and Curry, one of the best we had, and prepared every day great breakfast as well! The daughter is so sweet and speaks such a good English and could translate everything and helped us with everything we would’ve needed! We also had a great 3 hour walk through the tea plantations with the son who was so kind and knew a lot about the fields, and the dad drove us to another tea factory and even to the train station! These are such wonderful hosts!

It’s the best place to stay in Nawara Eliya. You got to experience local family life very closely. The family that runs this business is so accommodating and caring. The room was super clean. The balcony was adorable. I love flowers and it was full of them, so the sunset and sunrise views are lovely from here.

Wifi was disconnecting a lot. But that day internet was down in the entire area so I think it was not their fault.

The food, cooked by the mother, was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and love. Though I didn’t have time for the hike, I wish I had — it looked amazing and I’d love to come back just for that. The father was a fantastic guide, full of insight and stories about the region. His tour of the tea plantation and factory was one of the highlights of my stay — I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting. A truly special place, made even more memorable by the warmth of the people. I’d return in a heartbeat.

We really loved this stay with such a friendly family as hosts. It was a nice room and the food was good, as well as their service. In the morning we did a hike with the sun of the familie in Nuwara Eliya. This was a beautiful hike and he told us a lot of information about Nuwara Eliya.

The hosts were friendly and very helpful – they gave me great advice on a bunch of things. The breakfast and lunch were both delicious, and the view of the waterfall from the room was great. Really enjoyed my stay.

The family are really lovely and we felt very welcome. We enjoyed the view from the balcony and the bed was comfy and cozy. We enjoyed the hike, it was very informative with extremely good company, although it was more than we have paid for similar experiences ($20 per person). This was also the case for the tea factory tour we took the next day (it was $20 when the entrance to the factory is free so basically an expensive taxi service). If you’re looking to be very well looked after this is a great choice however not a budget stay.

The hosts were amazing - so helpful and showed us around. Also, organised our safari and our onwards trip to sigiriya. The brekkie and dinner were also fabulous. The coconut curry was so so tasty and comforting. Would highly recommend this home stay.

If you’re doubting on whether you should stay here then this is your sign to do it! We absolutely think this is the kind of homestay experience that makes traveling worthwhile. We felt taken care of from the moment we arrived at Nanu Oya station (where the host waited for us with a cute name sign and his car to bring us) till the end when the owner dropped us of at te station. The owner is a wonderful tourguide as well, we went for a beautiful hike in the tea fields, his wife and daughter served us delicious food (really!) and our last minute laundry request was also no problem. They do everything to make you feel welcome. One of our highlights whilst traveling Sri Lanka. Go for it! Food was stellar!

The room was nice with a balcony. The breakfast is fine.

The loft room has very steep narrow steps for access which we found could be dangerous, so not recommended for people with mobility problems. It has a balcony does overlook the beautiful mountain but also a large industrial type garage. The location is a fair way out from the centre. Beware if the host offers to cook you a meal the prices for the food and drink are restaurant prices. Was disappointed in this. Please note the room is in the family home and not really separate.We recommend one stay in Nuwara Eliya as there is not much to do.

We also bought a trip to three different waterfalls and tea factory from Sanjaya, which was also great and reasonably priced compared to other options. Sanjaya also helped us to get seats on the train to Ella, because we didnt have reserved seats. He also gave us really good tips for the rest of our journey! The price of laundry is determined by the amount of different clothing items so take this into account. They will provide the prices when asked, we just weren't aware of this.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The host family were so welcoming and kind, and helped us with planning our holiday, not just in Nuwara Eliya but all over Sri Lanka. They also introduced us to a great guide for hiking and transport to Ella. The house and room are exactly as described, the bed really comfortable and the shower the best we experienced in our whole trip.

We stayed here for a day and feeling like it was too less to live there , host is as amazing,, they made us feel like family ,hospitality was wow, he explained our cab driver to the route so it can save our time ,breakfast was too yummy, room was so neat and tidy, view from the room is way too amazing , Last but not the least worth the name cozy heaven it was really a cozy home.
