Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L'établissement propose une très belle piscine et des chambres à la fois propres et spacieuses. Un immense merci à l'équipe : Monsieur Hassan, qui a été d'une grande disponibilité et toujours à l'écoute, ainsi qu'à Youssef qui est venu nous chercher à la station Supratours dès notre arrivée à 7h du matin, avec une ponctualité exemplaire. Le programme organisé par l'hôtel est parfait : nous avons passé une nuit à l'hôtel et une autre dans le désert. Les tentes sont magnifiques, très propres et confortables. Pour les amateurs de sensations, l'hôtel propose aussi des quads et des buggys sur place. Je recommande vivement !

De riad is niet gelegen langs een geasfalteerde weg. Dit was met momenten oppassen met onze wagen aangezien we geen 4x4 hadden.

Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und das Badezimmer war ansprechend.

Unseriöser Host, dauerwitzig und quasi nur greifbar, wenn er gerade eine von diversen Zusatzleistungen anzupreisen versucht. Rückgeld kam erst auf Nachfrage, wäre sonst vermutlich „vergessen“ worden.

Hassan and Youssef are great at managing the place. the room was way bigger than we expected, clean enough, and comfortable. the pool is a big plus aside from this, we booked privately with them one night in a tent in the desert. so this review goes also for that side from our perspective, it is considered more to the luxurious than the low-key side (there is electicity outside, toilets, and showers, as well as beds with pillows). we have cancelled a previous booking with a differen host as it was shady (asking 460eur and being on and off when I asked about a cheaper price), though it was meant to be one of the few really in the middle of the desert. since we did not have an alternative, we reserved without having anything in our hands with Youssef, the owner. this has taken place outside Booking, via WhatsApp and then face to face at the place. I personally dislike such way, as it's the word of one against another; however, this shady way is coherent with most of the Moroccans. We decided to trust them, and it turned out to be an amazing experience! we even agreed to have a tour with the 4x4 Jeep taking us to a nearby lake, nomad camp, ruins, and to the dunes - for more money of course, but this is also fair enough. this took around two hours. In the morning, we had woken up early to ride camels (dromedars) to see the sunrise. I read from other reviews, that people experienced that the ride lasted only for 30mins, instead of the promised 1-2hours. here we rode for good 1hour and 20minutes! positive!!

At the tent, we had dinner - the true downside of this experience - overcooked pasta and one tajine for two adults and two kids. the tajine was delicious, even though it was chicken. for the price, lamb would have been more fair. Overcooked pasta is the real pain. why on earth would you serve pasta in the middle of the Moroccan desert?!? drinks are not included in the price, and a bottle of water for 20mad is quite of an overestimation of a pricetag. I won't consider naming the "dessert": a small cup with 4-5pieces of fruit with a bit yoghurt we were also supposed to have music in the light of a fireplace. This did not happen, and the excuse given by the guy administrating the tent was that there was wind. However, music has nothing to do with wind, and, also, we could hear music from neighbor camps. The best guess: he did not have the will to do it. In the morning, we had woken up early to ride camels (dromedars) to see the sunrise. unfortunately, we missed it as we did not move from the camp in time. I don't know what went wrong. we followed precisely the schedule given. I do no know whether it was the young guy taking it slow or another guest, added at last. all these costed you one point - i would have given 8.5, but 9 is because I believe you will improve !

Climatisation pas très efficace Chambre petite et sans aucun espace de rangement ou chaise Aucune insonorisation, ce qui nous a obligé à subir le bruit d'autres occupants, voire du personnel jusqu'à des heures tardives sans pouvoir nous reposer Manque de clarté sur le contenu des prestations d'activités et prix semblant fixé selon le client pour certaines d'entre elles. Nous avons d'ailleurs préféré avoir recours à un prestataire extérieur à l'établissement qui proposait des tarifs bien plus intéressants pour des activités plus qualitatives et personnalisées Plusieurs éléments du logement ne correspondaient pas au descriptif de Booking : équipements, vues, prestations... La couleur de l'eau de la piscine était peu engageante, surtout que nous pouvions voir celle d'autres hôtels, plus propres Sur la douzaine d'hébergement où nous avons séjourné durant nos vacances au Maroc, celui-ci arrive bon dernier

Very happy place to spend a couple of lovely days and night.

This is a quiet and very beautiful space with a chilled pool and courtyard. The room was one of the most beautiful I stayed in in Morocco. I stayed one night at the hotel and did a camel trek the second night. The hotel arranged everything for a good price. Hassan, my overnight desert guide, was a superb guide, highly knowledgeable of the dunes and happy to answer all of my annoying questions. He is also an excellent drummer! Would highly recommend Riad Berber Merzouga and Hassan!

It is a good place to stop before going to the desert. The pool is nice to cool down. The lunch we had was well served and the food was well prepared. The hotel is located close to the desert dunes we climbed a dune to enjoy the view and is also 10min walk to the main city square. Excellent Riad

We stayed in this Riad for one night but we experienced everything what we can. Quads, camels riding, fire show, dinner, breakfast everything was perfect. The staff was very kind and friendly. Thank you so much! We really recommend this camp to stay for everyone!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special thanks to Hassan, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly amazing. He is incredibly kind and helpful—nothing was too much trouble for him. The rest of the hotel staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere!

We traveled as a family group of 12, and at first, everything seemed perfect. They kindly allowed us to check in very late and waited for us until nighttime. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. However, the experience changed completely once the main manager got involved. He overcharged us for the 4x4 tour, offered very high prices for the quad tours, and provided a very poor breakfast for 50dh per person—the same price for both adults and children. For what we paid, we were expecting something much better. The rooms were not properly cleaned; there was dust everywhere, including on the beds. One of the main reasons we chose this place was for the swimming pool, so the kids could enjoy it. Unfortunately, we felt that children were not welcome. The pool was kept closed most of the time and was only opened for 30 minutes after we insisted. It was later reopened briefly when new guests arrived, which made us feel even more uncomfortable. In summary, it felt like we were not welcome unless we spent money on their food or activities. Sadly, we decided to leave earlier than planned.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Hassan was our host and made sure we got everything we need. The food was delicious and the next day after our check-out, we still could stay at the swimming pool until our next late check-in.

When it's raining it's hard to come by because of the dirt roads around the riad. It wouldn't be a problem if you just let the staff know you need help.

We had a great time, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We also booked a desert trip in their Landcruiser which was an amazing experience. Additionally we had dinner onsite, the best tagine that we had during our nearly 3 week long road road trip throughout Morocco.

I highly recommend this Riad to anyone looking for a place where they feel welcome and cared for. Perfect location, in the heart of the city. Spacious room, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed with high-quality linens. Large bathroom with very clean toiletries. Lovely room with a small fridge, which is very welcome, especially in the heat of Merzouga. The location at the foot of the dunes is exceptional. Magnificent riad with a swimming pool in the middle of the large interior courtyard, towels provided. Hassan was very attentive; a big thank you for all the little touches. Our time at the Riad Berber Merzouga was truly enjoyable. Since you are right on the edge of the dunes, there isn't really a better place for anyone who want to see the southern Moroccan sand dunes. The personnel will take good care of you and is very helpful and nice. Local musicians will frequently perform at night. As of this writing, the pool area still needs some cleaning , but once that is done, I have no doubt that this will be an absolutely fantastic location.

Both the owner of the Riad and Hcan, who is taking care of everything there, have been very friendly and helpful. The Jeep Tour offered by the owner is a great experience.

The name is not Riad Berber any more, that's why I passend it by in my first attempt to find it.

Great location, extremely nice stuff, wonderful pool with the view on the Merzouga dunes. Kids were having lots of fun. It was so good that we have extended our stay by 1 day.

The sunset was incredible, and you can just walk 3 minutes to reach the dunes an get lost in the desert.... the riad is very peaceful and beautiful inside, and food was really excellent. We stayed at riad family in merzouga, was comfortable air conditioned rooms, beautiful communal spaces, a nice outdoorarea and amazing food. They made avaliable different opportunities to explore the desert which I very much recommend. Most of all I really appreciated all of the people! Youssef very warm and informative,telling me about his family history and the history of the Riad. Said was very funny and helpful and omar was sweet and hard working, as were all the others. I highlyrecommend the camel trip into the desert! Mohammed explained the constellations and showed me how they cook tagines. The desert very peaceful and as tunning. I also did the tour around the desert with Him, who was very knowledgeable, and his brother hassan who was sweet, which I also highlyrecommend. We learned about the fossils,had tea with a nomadic family, and saw atraditional performance which was all soincredible. So I feel ucky to have experienced this place and met these people!

If you arrive by car, you can park it right outside. Although we arrived at 10pm, we were greeted by Youssuf with mint tea and had a lovely chat on the roof terrace. Youssuf also organized an unforgettable trip for us, including an overnight stay at Erg Chebbi. On our return we had one of the best breakfasts of our vacation in Morocco. Absolutely recommended!!

We happened to find this really comfortable Riad by chance. It is located on the edge of Merzouga with a direct view of the dunes.Since staff are very nice and helpful and always available for an informativeconversation, but not intrusive. The rooms are very lovingly built, i recommend is also the desert camp tour with Youssef, which seems a bit expensive at first,but since the camp is a bit lonely and keeps verything it promises, incl, camel ride for sunset, sunrise in the dunes, drum show and a really good

Youssef took us to a wild jeep tour on the dunes we visited nomad family and gnawa music: we loved it!
