L’hospitalité des hôtes, le confort de la chambre, la décoration très soignée franchement ce fut un plaisir pour moi de séjourner dans cet hôtel pendant quelques jours. Excellent petit déjeuner préparé avec beaucoup d’attention. Merci 🤗

L’établissement est propre, chaleureux. Les lits sont confortable et le petit déjeuner est copieux et très bon. Les propriétaires et le personnel sont très gentil et sont disponible au cas de demande. Le petit moins est que l’hôtel est situé sur la rive ouest ce qui fait qu’il n’est pas au centre de Louxor. Mais si vous aimez être dans l’ambiance locale ce sera parfait. De plus le quartier est plutôt sur.

Everything was incredible! The design of the entire place is gorgeous and so peaceful! The pictures are fantastic but don’t do it justice- it feels like a luxury bed and breakfast. The hosts are so incredibly helpful and it’s family run! I wish we would’ve booked with them for tours and everything but had already booked ahead. Close to the Nile and plenty of restaurants and shops! It’s also family friendly and they made us feel so welcome! The breakfast is also the highlight! I’m not sure I saw many reviews talking about how fantastic it is-It’s huge and had the best falafel we had in Egypt! You won’t regret booking here.

Kemet house is een erg sfeervol guesthouse. Prachtige en zeer schone kamer. De kamers zijn met smaak ingericht. Ook de binnen patio was een mooi en gezellige plek om te zitten. Het ontbijt was erg lekker en uitgebreid. Ik heb er ook gedineerd, tafel was prachtig gedekt en het eten was heerlijk. Op het dakterras heb je uitzicht op de nijl. Laurice en Ossame zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ik kom graag terug!1

Lovely family-run accomodation. The host was very helpful and we felt peaceful and at ease at Kemet house. The location next to the ferry on the west bank of the Nile is convenient to access sights on both sides of Luxor and it is also a lot quieter than Luxor centre. There is also a bike rental shop just next the corner. We enjoyed delicious breakfast: tasty egyptian staple food and we appreciate the refreshing fruit salad. If we ever come back to Luxor we would stop there.

Excellent location, just a few hundred metres from the public ferry, easily accessible on foot. The landlady and her family were very warm and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended for a stay in a peaceful spot

Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour à Kemet House : - chambre très confortable - petit déjeuner copieux et excellent - proximité du ferry pour rejoindre l’autre rive, proximité de nombreux restaurants (et avec moins de sollicitations que sur l’autre rive) - et bien entendu des hôtes très disponibles qui fournissent d’excellents conseils. Nous sommes passés par Kemet House pour l’organisation de la visite de la rive occidentale et avons grandement apprécié ! Le programme de notre demi journée a été adapté pour que nous puissions profiter des plus beaux endroits, sans la foule et sans débourser une trop grande fortune dans les entrées des sites historiques. Laurice et Ossama sont d’une amabilité incroyable et aux petits soins pour nous… Ils respirent la bonne humeur et organisent de très bonnes excursions. Le rooftop en haut de leur maison est superbe.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Kemet House. L'excellent accueil, l'ambiance, la disponibilité, les conseils, les services proposés, la localisation font de Kemet un lieu incontournable pour loger sur la rive Ouest du Nil à Louxor (La rive où se situent la grande majorité des sites à visiter). L'aspect extérieur du bâtiment est dans le style égyptien, très récent, très bien fini. L'intérieur est très récent, très bien équipé et très bien fini (ce qui est rare en Egypte). L'ensemble forme un agréable mélange de la culture égyptienne revue par l'exigence de qualité européenne. La literie est confortable, la climatisation récente fonctionne bien. Des bouteilles d'eau sont fournies. Nous avons également vraiment bien apprécié les deux diners fait maison et tous les petit-déjeuners, copieux et excellents. La situation de Kemet à proximité du départ des traversiers (navettes régulières avec itinéraire fixe qui relient les deux rives du Nil, en avril 2026 50EGP/personne/traversée) et des bateaux privés qui n'ont pas d'itinéraires fixes facilite grandement les visites de la rive Est du Nil: Temple de Louxor, temple de Karnac, musées .... Loger sur la rive Ouest du Nil évite de faire beaucoup de kilomètres en voiture pour aller visiter les très nombreux sites de la rive Est (les ponts pour traverser le Nil sont très éloignés du centre de Louxor). La salle de douches est spacieuse, tout fonctionne. L'eau chaude est vraiment chaude et il y a beaucoup de pression. Un conseil pour les dames: prévoyez un bonnet de douche type charlotte si vous ne voulez pas vous mouiller les cheveux. La douche est équipée d'un système fixé au plafond formant une pluie. De nombreuses petites épiceries se trouvent à très courte distance de Kemet, nous avons entre autre acheter d'excellentes oranges à déguster (en Europe on est habitué à voir des fruits très beaux, bien calibrés mais pas toujours bons.

Pour nous ce ne sont pas des points négatifs, mais des informations à connaitre: il n'y a pas d'ascenseur; le ménage des chambres n'est pas fait tous les jours.

This family-run accommodation is an absolute gem. It is beautifully furnished with the greatest attention to detail. Everything is super clean, the location is perfect to explore the sites and Laurice is the sweetest host ever.

Familär geführt, sehr gemütlich, es arbeiten fast nur Frauen dort, gutes Frühstück, guter Znacht, hilfsbereite Besitzerin die dort auch mit ihrer Familie wohnt, da sie Französin ist weiss sie was Europäer wollen, es ust trotzdem wahnsinnig authentisch. Sie hat tolle Restaurant Tips und ha und spontan noch einen Guide für den nächsten Tag organisiert. Danke für die tolle Erfahrung!

Eine sehr ästhetische, komfortable und saubere Unterkunft mit phänomenalem Frühstück und tollen Gastgebern! Man wohnt mit der Familie zusammen und lernt alle kennen, sehr familiär!

I prezzi dei servizi proposti sono chiari e con un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. A Kemet House c'è una piccola biblioteca piena di libri interessantissimi sull'egitto e Luxor, che Laurice and Ossama mettono a disposizione dei viaggiatori curiosi.

Everything was above expectations! The place is so cute and curated, the rooms are very spacious, and we loved the patio outside! The host is extremely attentive and nice. Communication was fluent and they organized all our car movements. We felt safe and well informed the whole time. Dinner we had there was delicious and the best we had in Egypt, and even they suggestions on where to eat elsewhere in luxor where great! I did recommend this place to all my friends and relatives

I'm a frequent solo traveller. Kemet House is definitely one of the best hotels I've been to within my budget range. The room is very big, with a small living room and a balcony overlooking the beautiful inner court. I have to mention how comfortable the bed is (I rarely say this). There is also a balcony on top of the building to give you a glance at the Nile. The location of the hotel is a five-minute walk away from the Nile and 10 minutes from the main ferry Pier. The presence of the breakfast is beautiful, and to eat in the inner court is a pleasure as well. I think, more importantly, is the hostess, Laurice's helpfulness and kindness. I do feel she genuinely wants to help me have a better travel experience. I booked transfers to/from the airport, a half-day car & driver, and a Felucca (an Egyptian boat for a sunset experience on the Nile) with her. Among these, I booked my transfer the same morning before my flight, and Felucca for the same night after my landing. Laurice and her husband made all this possible, which is rare in my experience. All prices are very reasonable and saved me the hassle of negotiating with the locals. Luckily, I was the only person on the Felucca tour, which made it more unique. Most of the people who talk to you are trying to scam your money, but Laurice made my journey in Luxor much more relaxing and saved me all the trouble. Thank you.

The only thing is that the hotel isn't directly on the Nile, but I think that's what made it so peaceful and quiet. The inner court and the building itself are characteristic, and the top-floor balcony can offer a view of the Nile as well.

The guesthouse and rooms are lovely, the best of our stays in Egypt. The dinner at the guesthouse was excellent as well as the breakfast, I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Kemet House is fabulous! It’s beautifully decorated & we had such a comfortable bed! My husband especially loved the rooftop seating area and enjoyed looking out over the neighborhood. The hostess and her team were so kind! She helped us with our transfer from the airport and our taxi when we went on to Hurghada. She also helped me order a cartouche necklace which is my lovely souvenir I’m bringing back from Egypt. Highly recommended! 🌟

Super séjour à Kemet House ! Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement dès notre arrivée. La résidence est très calme et dégage une agréable odeur dès que l’on entre dans l’appartement, ce qui donne tout de suite une excellente impression. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le confort de la literie ainsi que la propreté irréprochable des lieux. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et de grande qualité, tout comme les repas proposés. Quel plaisir de séjourner chez Kemet House, on s'y sent comme à la maison. Les propriétaires sont particulièrement disponibles pour toute question et organiser des excursions. Ils nous ont proposé un très bon guide en autre. La chambre était grande, avec une partie séjour, un lit douillet et une salle de bain vaste et propre. La cuisine est copieuse et bonne. L'accès se fait facilement par taxi ou bateau.

La ubicacion del lugar es perfecta, en el west bank de Luxor a pocos minutos a pie del ferry público. Kemet House ofrece un espacio tranquilo donde descansar.

De la ducha se sale un poco el agua, pero es un detalle mínimo que no opaca en ansoluto cada detalle de este alojamiento. La decoración, arquitectura y staff son maravillosos.

J’ai tout aimé : l’accueil, le personnel, la situation proche de l’embarcadère à pieds, les moindres détails de cette belle maison d’hôtes. Cette maison d’hôtes gagne à être connue. Elle est très bien située sur la rive ouest, à 3 min à pieds du ferry public. La chambre était joliment décorée, propre, avec une belle terrasse au dernier étage. La salle de bain est très grande, avec eau chaude et pression forte. J’ai énormément aimé l’atmosphère de cette maison, un havre de paix dans Louxor. Je vous conseille fortement de dîner au moins une fois, le repas est simplement succulent. Merci à ce couple charmant, gérant de l’établissement, qui s’est montré disponible avant mon arrivée et leurs conseils et pour e tour en montgolfière.

The best stay we had in Egypt, no exaggeration. Beautiful traditional house, clean and spacious room, welcoming staffs, cozy environment... Everything just perfect. I would recommend it especially to solo female travelers and couples.

The staff were so incredible and kind. Kemet House felt like an oasis for us after a stressful trip. The facilities are incredibly clean. The rooms were super spacious and the comfort of the beds with the quietness of the rooms was very surprising. Kemet House is very much value for money. Additional services booked through the hotel went very smoothly as the owner was very kind and compassionate when speaking to us about where to go and what to book. The breakfasts are traditional and very worth waking up for, delicious. The special dinner for extra money is also incredibly worth it, delicious food and amazing customer service.

Many of the attractions are on the East side of the Nile, so a ferry ride was required a few times to see things on the East side. There is no elevator so physical effort is required to bring suitcases to your room. Bidets on the toilets were not effective.

This is what I was looking for: a family-friendly atmosphere with a unique, authentic style and charm. The three-story house-hotel follows a typical Arabian layout, with rooms overlooking the patio, all furnished with tasteful, traditional furniture and accessories—a place where you feel like a guest rather than a paying customer. Run by a young, attentive and dedicated French-Egyptian family, the hotel offers only four spacious rooms (mine was like a suite) plus some common areas: the beautiful, quiet, relaxing patio with chairs and tables where breakfast is served, a wonderful third-floor terrace overlooking the Nile, with sofa's and wooden stylish gazebo, and a library filled with books about Egypt. You can book a home-cooked dinner (I haven't tried it, but it looks delicious), and the "Egyptian" breakfast is simply fabulous: fresh, freshly prepared, and served with smiles and kindness. The location was the best for me: on the quieter west bank of the Nile, avoiding the chaos of the east bank, yet just a few dozen meters from the 24-hour ferry crossing the Nile or dozens of cheap water taxis, located right across the river from the Luxor Temple. There are many restaurants nearby (we were recommended an excellent place nearby that also serves delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes). Finally, you can book excursions and activities at the hotel. We had already organized them in advance, but I must confirm that the offer was competitive. Air conditioning, tea kettle, fan, WiFi are available in each room.

Our stay was absolutely incredible! The hotel is exceptionally comfortable and very well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A special mention for the food: both breakfast and dinner were delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren, een pand met een mooie rustige sfeer in de lokale stijl. Ze waren zeer voorkomend en hebben ons goed geholpen bij alle verzoeken die we hadden. Vraag hen vooral naar een lijstje met de meest interessante sites en tombes die je kan gaan bezoeken.

Mein Freund und ich waren fasziniert von der Gastfreundlichkeit der Familie Ahmad, wir haben uns wir zuhause gefühlt! Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf Nil erhalten, man konnte am Morgen den Sonnenaufgang schön beobachten, weil es dort eine gemeinschaftliche Dachterasse gibt. Ein Abendessen bei der Familie Ahmad ist auch ein Muss! Alles wird von der Familie selbst gekocht, es sind große Portionen, die sehr gut geschmeckt haben, sogar besser als in allen anderen Restaurants, wo wir sonst noch gegessen haben! Auch Frühstück war sehr toll jeden Morgen, schön gesättigt gingen wir nach der Mahlzeit die Tempel der Stadt erkunden! Danke, es war ein einzigartiges Erlebnis!

Die Apartments sind gleich neben einer Moschee, also man soll darauf vorbereitet sein, dass um 4:30 Uhr in der Früh durch die Sprechanlage gebetet wird.

La struttura era molto pulita accogliente e sono stati molto gentili con noi e ci hanno aiutato con molta disponibilità in ogni nostra richiesta Abbiamo anche cenato da loro e oltre alla cura dei dettagli il cibo era ottimo.. una tipica cena egiziana. Consigliatissimo!

Un sans faute pour le kemet house, pour commencer un super accueil de la part de Laurice et Ossama, ainsi que de toute l'équipe sur place. Le logement est superbe et notre chambre magnifique, propre et confortable (super literie et douche). Le repas sur place est excellent (option végétarienne sur demande) pareil pour le petit déjeuner. Super emplacement dans un petit quartier animé avec de bons restaurants à proximité et proche du ferry pour traverser le nil. Ils nous ont également organisé nos excursions (balade en felouque sur le nil au couché du soleil, vallée des rois et alentours) à bon prix et avec des prestations de qualité, également aidé pour notre transfert à hurghada. Merci pour ces deux nuits au Kemet house, pour l'accueil la discrétion la disponibilité les bons conseils et la gentillesse. Si nous revenons à Louxor c'est chez vous que nous reviendrons dormir sans hésitation.
