Uniquement l’emplacement : idéalement situé !

Accueil passable, la chambre faisait vieille avec du mobilier très vieux qu’on ne pouvait pas utiliser, un tapis sale au bout du lit et une salle de bain pitoyable! Même la salle de bain dans une maison de retraite est mieux configurée ! Le plafond de la salle de bain était pourri, nous devions aussi faire attention avec l’eau sous la douche pour ne pas risquer une inondation ! Nous avons été très déçu vu le tarif de la chambre ! Nous jugeons que nous avons uniquement payé l’emplacement. Et bien sûr pas de parking ni de tarif réduit proposé pour les parkings de la ville.

The concierge was very helpful: my wife and I arrived separately but there was only one room key so I was able to leave it with him for my wife to collect. The location is also really good. Not right in centre of town so no real noise at night, but very close to pier and right next to a bus stop to take you to the Marina. Only a short walk to the Lanes.

My wife said the bed was very uncomfortable. She also found a curly hair on the bed sheet. There was also a very long hair on the bathroom wall above the toilet around head height (nowhere near the shower, so no idea how it got up there). Also the lights over the bed provided almost no light and the light in the bathroom dims after about ten seconds of no movement and then brightens when you move, which is really odd.

The receptionist was very VERY kind to upgrade us to a balcony room for free just because I was a fool and booked the wrong room in the first place 😅 - very polite and friendly, and check in was easy enough!

When we lifted the bed covers we noticed lots of little bits of dirt - and after looking at some reviews (which A lot of them said about bedbugs on google so should have read there first) and we ended up finding a good bit of evidence the room may have had them too 😭😭😭 which is such a shame after the staff were so nice as to upgrade us for free... Overall the room was a bit in shambles (bits of paint chipped off walls and baseboards a bit rotten) so we ended up checking out the same day and going to stay at a different hotel. The photos on Google and booking.com are definitely misleading.I think it needs to be updated. We didn't even really stick around to take photos because I cannot handle bugs 😅

We were given an up-grade to a room with a balcony and sea views, we were very happy!

Reception were helpful.

Didn't realise there was a pub attached so music played late and from 9.45am.

The hotel is really well located to the main local attractions, with good close by amenities and good transport links. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They will always go out of their way to help if they can.

We had the basement room and the noise from the bar above was quite a problem. The shower was quite small and the curtain didn't fit very well so the bathroom did get quite wet.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience with the room, especially considering the price. The main issue was not that things went wrong — they do. It was how the hotel dealt with them. The inside door lock, one electrical socket and the wall fan were not working. I reported each of them to reception. The response to the door lock was particularly surprising. I was expected to feel safe simply because the receptionist said so — following by that he was there, there were cameras, and only the manager had a key card to enter the rooms. I was eventually told that the inside locks didn't work in any of the rooms. I prefer an actual working lock rather than a “trust me, you're safe” arrangement. 😏 When I raised it further, management explained that the receptionist was new and that I should try harder with the lock. So apparently, the lock wasn't the problem. My technique was. 😏 There was also a strange amount of passing responsibility around — who had to call the manager, what the receptionist had to do, what I had to ask for. I was the guest reporting a faulty room, not the person running the internal staff procedure. The room itself was quite crowded, the wardrobe was difficult to access because of bulky items, and there was an easy-to-miss step between the room and bathroom, the room became hot without the wall fan, and opening the windows brought constant outside noise. The mattress was also very uncomfortable. None of these individually would necessarily make me write a review. Things go wrong. I can accept that. What I cannot accept is that THEIR TOLERANCE for FAULTS became something I WAS EXPECTED TO TOLERATE too. I paid for a room to rest and relax. I expect the basics to work — and when they don't, I expect them to be treated as problems, not as something I simply need to tolerate. Will I stay there again? Maybe. The location is excellent and the 24-hour reception is a definite plus.

I was in a basement room and during the night it rained.water came through a gap in the door and the floor was soaked. My clothes were on the floor and when I woke up my clothes were wet through.

The floor was not clean. I had to clean the bathroom. Even though it states there is a lift to upper floors, we were in the penthouse and had to walk up 20 stairs. Not a problem if you can walk up them. The bar was not open and food was not available. If you wanted anything you had to go next door even then they didn't serve breakfast. The penthouse didn't have any complimentary bottles of water. The staff on reception were nice but English wasn't their first language so communication was poor. If we had known this we definitely wouldn't have paid for the penthouse or even stayed there.

on arrival the staff wasn't welcoming just stared at us made us uncomfortable but as we seen them a few times was friendly I don't think they had worked here long

1. Upon arrival the lady (who I found out later was the landlady), did not know anytjing about my stay or for how long. She checked me in for two days only and I booked for 6 days.. She gave us a key and when we went to the room.. The key didn't open the door. So we needed to go down again to sort it out. She didn't know so she said to come back later. 2. Cleanliness of the room. A piece of biscuit was under the bed since I checked in. I noticed it there hoping it oculd be cleaned. Nothing changed. Rug full of dust. Shower. Moldy. Shower faucett could be hardly work. 3. Dust under the bed. 4. My room was made up once and they didn't remove the bins. I requested to the staff but hskp never came to remove bins. 5. I couldn't sleep any more there among djst and dorty linen so. I decided to leave the place before my original date.

The room was dirty especially the floor when asked to get someone to clean was told in 10 - 15 minutes no one showed up in that time. You could hear people waking through the corridors. Woken up by seagulls early hours of the morning.

The location was brilliant; right on the front by Madeira Drive, minutes from The Lanes and The Pavilion and The Pier. Room was small but well appointed with a comfy bed.

We were round the side so rather a grotty view but we were only in the room to sleep so not an issue.

The property was very dated, on arrival we were unable to park, the toilet was leaking, the evening staff was accommodating and moved us upstairs straight away, however, the message had not been relayed to him by an earlier staff member who I spoke to before leaving the building to go out, that there was a problem. The shower room had mould on the grout and in the bathroom generally. The floor was not clean we used towels to stand on. Walking in the bedroom turn the bottom of your sock, black very quickly. Rooms were hot, but fans were provided. Parking, says there is parking, however you were charged £20 a day for a permit. When checked about permits to park outside hotel in zones C and N it should be £10. Mattresses were not comfortable as springs are poking through. Toiletries were provided with white clean towels.

Staff on the desk were friendly and helpful. Location spot on. My room wasn't at the front of the hotel but I could still see the sea from the window. Good there was a fan in the wardrobe as it was very hot when I stayed. A nice touch to have the tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

As per previous reviews yes the hotel probably could do with modernising and the stairs a good hoover but on a personal level I didn't have any specific issues with my room. Overall good value for money and met the description.

The hotel was in a great location and the room was the expected quality for the price. Prime seaside location, easy to walk into city centre within 10 minutes, many restaurants and bars within 1 minute walk of hotel.

I was overcharged for parking by almost 3x what was advertised when I booked. When I contacted the hotel about this, they claimed that their listing had the correct price, but when I provided them with screenshots proving that was untrue, they stopped replying and I had to chargeback via my bank. Room was a little unclean with paint flaking off of walls/ceilings and stains on the flooring.

It was in a fairly good location to the event we were going to.

Felt the the was overpriced for standard of the hotel, very noisy location with bar below the hotel finally got to sleep at 4 am. It was only an over night stop, but would need improvements to entice us to stay there again .

It wasn't my first time staying here - and it definitely won't be my last :-) The guy working behind the desk was very helpful and kind. The lady who offered room service was very nice. The view from my room were beautiful :)

the hotel was just like 5 min walk from where the coach left us. the staff(Receptionist let us check early and he was friendly with the rest of the team) we got a different room and it was bigger due to the shower) and we got allowed to check out after 11 pm as we were tired off

The receptionist was disgracefully rude towards us! As a gay person the receptionists perception of gay people was offensive in the least and in fact borderline homophobic!

I highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean, the room had a lovely sea view, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always there to help make our stay better. Abanod was especially professional, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience.

There was nothing significant to complain about. We had a pleasant stay.

Il ragazzo alla reception è stato disponibile e gentilissimo ma la pulizia in camera non era delle migliori. Però la stanza era ampia e con una bellissima vista sul mare. La posizione comodissima per Brighton beach

La stanza pulita non benissimo. Il pavimento era appiccicoso e i tappetini del letto molto sporchi ma è bastato spostarli.

The location was close to the seafront and pier with easy access to shops, etc. As I had a single room on the top floor at the back the noise from bars and nighttime venues was faint even with the window open.

Although the room and shower room looked newly painted and walls tiled the shower spray was past it's best. The bath towel was small

You can’t deny that the club downstairs is loud even on a week night (less so than weekend I’m guessing) and you can hear all the doors of the other rooms around open and close… so noise level not optimal, but for a short stay we were fine

Spent 2 nights in the hotel. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Good location. View could of been better from window .looked out onto very untidy back yards ! Staff were freindly . Particularly Aba who gave us clean towels , more soap and toilet rolls. Extended our stay by a extra hour without extra cost .
