Very clean and comfortable room. Fairly easy self check in. Did have issue opening outside door (my fault) but staff seen pleasant and helped. Five minutes or so from railway station and right in the city centre. Coffee and tea making facilities which were topped up daily.
Being niggly, two bulbs were either mossing or not working, the shower extractor did not appear to work. Dependant on when you had a shower the water could be tepid rather than hot. It was hot in the morning about 8am but only tepid at about 7pm.
location
cleanliness
The room was great, the location was spot on. The staff on arrival were pleasant and lovely. Also I really liked the biscuits, nice touch.
shower pressure was too low
Location could not have been any better for visiting Lancaster. The sofas were a little past their best but still more comfy than most holiday lets.
Although we didn’t cook, if we had wanted to, there were not enough pans and the hob had a large chip. One of the skylight blinds didn’t open.
Great location in the centre of town
The skylight was very difficult to close the blackout window with a long pole & there was no fridge to keep our milk call in our 4 day stay
Good room - comfortable bed.
My room was on the street side so noisy from traffic & people!
Location
The price on the location
Also nur Fake-Eingang.
Given the price paid, the quality of the room and comfort of the bed vastly exceeded my expectation. This sounds a little like damming with faint praise. In fact, for our needs, the room was almost perfection, as was the location of the hotel relative to the city centre. What capped our visit was that the staff in the adjacent headquarters of the hotel group were also prepared to store our baggage pre/post check in, at least during working hours, greatly facilitating our visit.
The only slight niggle we had was that the shower end of the bath had reached the point where some regrouting would be appropriate.
The location was excellent, self check in, we got the key from the key box. The room was a nice size, comfortable bed and a nice size bathroom. Overall a really good place to stay.
The room door didn't lock automatically you had to lock it manually, didn't see ANY staff. The parking was a bit ropey, there are only 3 spaces @ £15 a day and 1 could be blocked in.
The location is excellent for central Lancaster, Castle, Priory and town. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Pre arrival communication (with Marta) re parking, luggage drop etc was very good.
A number of small factors, which the hotel are addressing so it is unfair to itemise, lowered the room score. Our room 7, was atop of 2 flights of very steep, large rise would be tricky with heavier cases or any lack of mobility. No room daily housekeeping meant used tea and coffee not replaced etc. It could be that one could get replacements from reception, but it is not publicised.
The location was excellent The bed was comfortable TV. Electric fan and Iron were provided. The room was quiet and spacious. There was a clear notice about noise, visitors etc
Our room did not have a window The room had a skylight and a bathroom window. There was no fridge; if you want coffee. take some coffee mate. There was only one chair in the room. Room service is by arrangement with reception, it is not automatic
Location
Parcheggio coperto per moto
The location was close to where I was working.
It wasn’t clean, there was hair on the towels, stains on the walls. Additionally the main road was extremely loud and due to the single glazing you could hear everything, including people leaving the pubs. Not much sleep was had.
Super king size bed was very comfortable. Central location, great for people travelling by train, right near shops.
Found the stairs difficult but shouldn’t be an issue for younger , fitter folk 😁
Very comfortable place to rest for a night. Central with a parking area just down the road. Easy access and very comfortable bed.
Couldn’t open a window for fresh air.
No breakfast provided. Location was good for shopping
No breakfast
The bed was comfortable
Very tatty hotel. Needs completely refurbished. Our room looked nothing like the photos on booking.com. I felt I was misled. There was mould in the bathroom, the fan did not work, and the lights did not work. There was no attention to detail and the room was really disappointing. The parking was double the price of nearby car parks. I went down the 3 flights of steep stairs to complain and ask for a better room, but reception was shut.
Very close to City center, very tidy, good reachable and direct car parc. We would choose Crows Hotel again
Good bed. Convenient for city centre.
Shower door came off the runner but managed to get it back on. Trying to close the skylight blind was dangerous for two 70 plus year olds- had to stand on the bed and the long pole was almost impossible to use. Tile paint flaking off on bathroom tiles. Biscuits uninspiring and different quality to online photo.
Basic room with everything you'd expect. Nothing particularly special but very central location. For the price - in comparison to other hotels it's cheaper.
Room is on the main road which is very noisy. Room was very stuffy so it was struggle between having the window open with the noise or keeping it shut and increasingly getting warmer and stuffy,
Well presented room, clean, comfortable. Easy check in/check out
The room was facing the street and it was a high traffic road, trucks were still going by at 2am. The windows did little to block out the noise
Easy to find and near the station, nice large room and bathroom with good furniture, effective and easy system for key retrieval outside reception hours. Could leave my luggage in reception while I was in town.
I was happy with it but worth noting that tiny winding staircase to the top floor wouldn’t suit everyone
It was safe ,warm, comfortable and clean.
Nothing
Room was very nice and very handy location. Staff were polite and friendly.
Traffic noise was grim.
No breakfast available Location OK for shops etc.
Due to type of room, the heatwave turned it into an oven. Definitely not great for sleeping. The shower cubicle had seen better days!!
Room was very clean and well decorated with all facilities provided
windows were not openable
Location
No Parking at the property
Clean, convenient, cosy, comfortable, with all the necessary facilities, very close to the city centre, and to main sites of interest! Clear communication and supportive staff. Overall I would give it a very high rating. Thank you!
Some noise from the street, but it didn't bother me, just gave one the sense of a lively place. Maybe some better shading with darker blinds would protect one from the 5 am morning sun of the summer 😉
Great location, good size room, very clean
Too warm - one small fan which was quite noisy and I had to remove the kettle plug under the table to plug it in due to a shortage of sockets
Didn't have breakfast. Location convenient.
Bathroom tired
An excellent location - not far from the station but right in the city centre. A nice spacious room and huge double bed.
The wifi was very intermittent.
Great location.
There isn’t any parking outside the property but Parking available on request, it’s a short walk away but you you have to pay £15.
Good room easy to use
The walls very thin!
The chairs...very gd grip. Very gd location near 2 everything
The staff was polite, the room was comfortable, and the kitchen was better than expected.
Stains on the walls and a fair few flies flying around.
Clean and central in Lancaster. Bathroom was clean and bigger than expected
Gets way too warm and needs better airflow
Nice clean room. A little noisey at night. Very near to the castle (where I had a conference). It was a self contained studio apartment. There is a reception in working hours but key not hard to find if coming late for auto check in.
Posizione centrale
Ho sofferto molto il caldo nelle giornate più calde
Always a pleasure to stay at Crows Hotel
Very clean friendly staff clean and great location
Our third stay. Staff super friendly. Location brilliant. We stayed in super hot weather. The lock to our room had seized up in the heat. The manager arrived promptly to let us out and was super friendly. He was also great on our previous stay. Super clean and comfortable rooms.
A few more accessible plug sockets as they had lighting, fridges and kettle all required in them. Just required plugging and unplugging.
Excellent location. Spacious room. Good water pressure in the shower.
Noise - especially when you have to open the windows to sleep during summer. The towel radiator was a bit rusty - not ideal
Excellent location and lovely room
Would have preferred king size bed and the street was quite noisy
Excellent location. No messing key retrieval. Everything we needed, kettle etc. Great comms beforehand.
It was very bright in the morning. There was no blind on the skylight that we could see.
Very clean, central location - good value .
The room was v hot & the fan did not seem to make much difference.
The convenience
The open blind on the sky light in room 2 bedroom woke us up really early as we couldn't close it
The room was just the right size. The location was excellent right in the hub of the town.the beds were very comfortable. All toiletries were provided.i would highly recommend a stay here.
Room and location
Reception only available by phone
Very good location for the train station. Extremely clean and comfortable. There was everything we needed for one night's stay.
Great location and parking was closed by
Property was very clean and is super close to the train station and the center. The check in was easy and very well explained in advance
Just missed blinds which make the room dark and the mattress could use an upgrade. All else was very comfortable
Locatie is geweldig
De vloer voelt een beetje plakkerig aan. Er is geen ventilatie in de badkamer. De waterkoker is behoorlijk vies.
It was clean and comfortable in a great location. Staff were very accessible and attentive even on Sunday morning.
The room we had had no outlook. I would ask with a room with a view next time.
Location was great
Good location
Shower needed a bit of tic
Very central
No black out curtains..blinds didnt keep out lights from buildings opposite that stays on all night
Hotel is very central to everything. Easy instructions to check in and the person I spoke to was very pleasant when confirming booking
As it’s a central hotel it is very noisy and the windows don’t block anything out. It is also very bright in the room due to only having Venetian blinds at the window and no curtains
Location was brill to the centre
Being on the main road side couldn’t sleep as it was to noisy
Great room in a central location with access to everything. Some very good pubs with live music and some lovely restaurants.
Nothing to not like really
Near to where our friends live, on route home from Scotland. booked at short notice (day before) Parking space available (£15) Good communication via message regarding check in.
Couldn’t open the windows, very warm. Requires a black out blind or curtains in room (9) facing high street, very hard to sleep with street lights and noise. Thank goodness it was only us parking in very tight spaces.
Very central location. Good customer service. Comfy room and for the price everything you needed.
Only blinds were on the windows so it was very bright in the morning (some curtains would fix this).
The location was great - very close to the train station and on one of the main streets. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable.
Because the room overlooked a main road, there was traffic into the night. Not good for light sleepers.
Comfortable rooms close to the station and good restaurant (Merchants). Very kind helpful staff.
The steps up to the outside rooms were tricky for our older companions.
Brilliant location and staff. We were able to check in early and also leave our bags after checkout. Any queries I had got very quick responses
It’s definitely seen better days and needs some maintenance e.g the sink had lots of cracks
Decent location. Room was large and comfortable.
Parking charges (£15) and the limited spaces need to be made clearer before booking - we ended up parking somewhere else. Room is on a busy road so quite noisy at night. Wifi took several attempts to access - the password listed in the room doesn't work so you need to carefully check the email from the hotel.
Central
Bathroom very dated, on the main road so noisy all night. And could hear other people in their rooms.
On my arrival all l had to do was ring a reception telephone number to gain access to a key cupboard for entry to the Hotel and my bedroom. The bedroom was immaculate with a fully tiled toilet etc. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Lancaster.
Nothing to dislike.
Fantastic property Great Location
Location and clean
Nothing
Good location. Comfortable night stay.
Location is excellent right in the the centre of Lancaster Check in instructions are easy Comfy beds Little kitchen area excellent
Unable to turn the radiator down the room was uncomfortably hot
Brilliant location and self check in so easy
Was a bit cold but I just put radiator on!
The location is wonderful, right in the heart of the city and close to the train and bus stations.
There were some stains of the walls and I feel the kettle should be replaced ASAP.
Very good location in city centre.
On a very busy road. Constant traffic noise and street sounds.
Close to train station
No curtains/blind up in bathroom. Creaky floorboards No you tube on tv
Great location. Perfect for us as a quick stop close to the station given our train got in late at night
For a single night prefect. Not much space for clothes etc for a longer stay
