The room we were given was not good: the main light was not working and theee were no bedside lights, but we got changed to a very acceptable one. One of the two lifts was out of order and the working one was grubby.

Room was like an oven. Cleaners left a bag of rubbish on my bed.

The bed was very comfortable, excellent tv quality, great location, tea and coffee facilities were good and decently friendly staff.

The shower wasn't great as it took awhile to heat up and water temperature constantly changed and was quite slippery without a mat in it. The shower also had several hairs on the wall, had several dark red marks on towel. The main light didn't really light the room very well, there was also a big water stain on the ceiling.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is pretty central which is handy. Also the shower was ok, good power which is rare in cheaper hotels.

The hotel in general has seen better days. I realised I stayed here maybe 7 years ago when it was an Ibis Budget still, and I'm not sure anything has been updated or maintained since. - The security locks that you used to need to scan your key on to enter no longer work, so anyone can access any floor of the building. - Only one lift works, and on at least one floor, the down button to call it doesn't work so you have to press the up button and hope no-one is heading further up - the mattresses are old and you can feel the springs in them, I ended up using a second duvet as a mattress topper to make it more comfortable. - the main light took about a minute to decide it wanted to turn on, and some of the other lights around the bed didn't work at all. - WiFi was patchy (and still the Ibis one...)

The room was spacious and clean. The WIFI was excellent and soundproofing was very good. Great week of sleep. They provided a fan on one of the hottest days of the year and it was a welcome gadget. Staff were very nice at the front desk and super helpful and they looked after my bags when i checked out so i could visit the town. Excellent location and near to many shops and restaurants.

No extractor fan in the shower room so hot steam leaked into the bedroom and the window was difficult to fully lock down and you had to try a few times.

While the property doesnt offer breakfast but the hotel is just next door. Location was brilliant. Rooms were cleaned every day.

Not a good place to stay during summer.

The location was great, right in the centre of Lancaster. The family room was fine and the beds were comfy. There was a lift up to the room and someone on the reception 24 hrs.

It was rather basic, which is fine for the price. Our main problem was that the windows didn't open very much and it got pretty hot and stuffy in the room, even though they provided a fan.

Basic clean hotel, car park opposite, weatherspoons next door for food. Able to walk to the train station about 7 minutes.

Bit noisy as next door to weatherspoons pub but nothing major and Lancaster is a student place afterall, with the university. Could do with updating the carpets in the rooms as old and very stained. Bit pricey for the room but did the job and no.major concerns

The reception wasn't very welcoming, quite miserable really - including most of the staff! WiFi didn't work.

The chair in the room was practical plastic but not very comfy. A TV chair may have been better. I understand that some want a working chair but I don't enjoy lying on my bed to watch TV.

The location was excellent, especially with the fairly large grocery store right next door. On a different time of year this is probably a very good solution, particularly for solo travelers. The noise from the street was also surprisingly tolerable, even with the huge Wetherspoons next door.

The room was unbearably hot. Even though there was an unprecedented heatwave going on, it's absolutely unacceptable to only provide a small fan and a window that barely opens in a modern hotel, and I can't imagine the situation would've been much better with more normal summer weather. Also, the elevators didn't work for most of my stay.

Good location for the train station and the venue i was attending

Room was very small and warm even with the window open and a fan. Only 1 pillow per bed, had to ask at reception for extra towels and milk and coffee and felt like I was being a nuisance.

There was no adapters along side beds to charge phone. No password for intranet connection was available in room and there was no tooth brush paste or shampoo was there. I was scrohing my skin wholenight in bed there was mites in the bed. Very poor arrange and stay

Room was very basic but good size and in very good location right in town center.

Our room was above a pub and dustbin area so it was noisy at night due to pub noise and early morning due to bin collection. Bathroom was very small with a tiny shower area and no cupboard space just a rod with few hangers to hang couple of clothes. There is no restaurant in the hotel so no food or drink is available but it’s in the town center so lots of shops and eating places nearby. Rooms needs updating and modernization.

It was a convenient location and the staff were friendly. The room was a good size.

The room door kept slamming very loudly. The lights also lept flickering.There was no AC and we were only given a very small fan. The wifi didn't work which was very disappointing. Also the sheets were not the cleaniest unfortunately.

Window wouldn't close properly so heavy traffic noise all night. When informed staff next morning at reception they weren't that bothered. Also curtain was hanging off curtain hook.

Hotel was convenient to the town centre and railway station. It was clean and comfortablw.

Reception had to be contacted by phone in order to check in. The external doors were closed from 7pm and access was obtained by means of an intercom at the front door. Admittedly this was easily managed, but it was a slight inconvenience.

Complaint regarding cancelled booking and missing refund! I am extremely disappointed with this service. My booking was cancelled at the very last moment, and I still have not received my refund. The only communication I received was a short email saying: “Sorry, we have cancelled your booking.” No explanation, no compensation, and no refund!!!

The room was hot. We bought another fan but that barely helped. It was uncomfortable to sleep. While we were checking in there were two couples that had their bookings cancelled with no notice. That was poor customer service. We were all there for our children graduation.

Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to the city center and nearby attractions. The hotel is also very clean, and the rooms are well maintained.

there are two drawbacks. The rooms do not have air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable during warm weather, and the hotel does not offer breakfast.

It was a heatwave but the room was unbearably hot. The staff were lovely and provided a fan. The WiFi didn’t work in the room. I believe they said that WiFi was in the public spaces. We hadn’t read this. Please read the specifications.

Hatte Zimmer direkt über dem angrenzen Frühstücksrestaurant. Daher sehr früh, sehr laut durch An- und Ablieferung.

The lift to the second floor was not working. It was excessively hot and you had to ring to get anything from reception. Kettle in room did not work and very limited space in the rooms.

Location is great and have had perfectly pleasant stays here previously.

The room wasn’t especially clean, dirty carpet under the beds. Thick layer of dust and lost sock on the shelf. No ac but a fan provided, except the fan was dirty and ineffective. Was surprised to fine ear plugs provided, found out why early next morning when the Weatherspoons next door had their glass ins emptied. The door didn’t fit the frame so you need to put your shoulder to it.
