Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Great value. Lovely big bathroom. Free parking.
Bit grotty. No mattress protector. Thin blinds so gets very light very early, bring an eye mask. Its a bit like being in a uni halls of residence. Lots of road noise.
The location is good - just over the Welsh bridge. Spacious and clean room. Shower room very clean and again a good size.
For those not used to keypad entry a mention of the open padlock symbol after the code would be helpful. It was quite hard to see and we had to help some other guests who were struggling to get into the property. Chairs, hooks and a table between the beds would have been handy. Shower room extractor didn't seem to work in the triple room.
All apart from there was only 1 coffee ☕️ pod and one milk. Not a big deal but. ??
See above.
It was a comfortable, clean room in a central location.
For the money we thought it was good.
Central location, free parking (the video helped, so thanks for sharing), comfy bed, plenty of wardrobe space, nice shower.
The bin in the shower room had not been emptied so had previous occupant’s sanitary product in there, stained bedding, shower gel was empty. There is no one to contact at the place, you are literally left to your own devices. So despite emailing upon arrival, I never got a response!
The property was ideally located and the room was clean and comfortable.
The double bed was very small.
Comfortable stay in a nice location with easy check in.
There wasn’t any tea and although coffee pods were provided, the coffee machine water reservoir had light mould on it so we didn’t want to use it.
I found the instructions to gain access to the car park and the property very convoluted. A series of YouTube videos, they relied entirely on an accessible, stable internet connection. Also, the directions to find the road to the car park are not current. Once inside my room, the window frames and sills were very grimy, as was the glass shelf in the bathroom.
Good value for money in Shrewsbury. Perfectly good room with nice bathroom
Great location, and parking. Comfortable room.
Very good location and helpful information as to accessing the car park and the hotel rooms.
Some consumables in the room had not been refreshed - tea bags, shower gel.
Great room and location
Shame about hairs on floors, on towel and in the bed
No breakfast
Needed blackout blinds as the street light was right outside the window, also a bit of more attention to dusting and hoovering and hand soap in the bathroom
Brilliant location. Incredibly clean and tidy. Really bright and airy. There was air on in the room and a coffee machine. All staff we met were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Absolutely brilliant!
Slightly noisy from the main road
Short walk to town. Great parking
Additional chair would be beneficial
Centrally located and easy to find on street but if you have a double room 2 chairs would be nice so you don’t have to sit on bed all night.
Parking difficult to find only due to not watching video that was sent
Location, clean room
The room had very small windows and was unbearably hot at night, the provided fan just stirred the air. Booking dot com does not make it clear than only some rooms have air conditioning. Our room was not serviced as we stayed two nights, very small amount of milk and teabags supplied for first night. The large fridge in the room made it even hotter, in hindsight we should have turned it off. We asked to change to another room for our second night but they said all rooms were occupied but only four cars in the car park both days!
Very comfortable and excellent location. The instructions for parking are good because it can be tricky to work out - plenty of parking. Easy access to Shrewsbury centre. Really happy.
It was in a fantastic position with good parking which was free which is great staff were really good if I contacted them
When we arrived the room could do with the paint touching up as there were marks everywhere and they also only left 1 toilet roll which had already been opened
This was better than we expected, the air-conditioning was a definite plus with this location/room. It was very clean, great location and very well informed.
Great location. Although not face to face staff were very helpful and friendly - easy to contact. City centre location but suprisingly quiet. Parking very close and useful. Video directions very helpful.
Room was not as clean as I would expect. Carpet was dirty (didn't appear to have been hoovered properly). Grouting in bathroom shower dirty with some black patches.
Liked the cleanliness and size of the bathroom
The car park area was quite dark
The location, security and everything was prganised well, with video of car parking, accesd key etc.
No negatives
It's clean and comfortable. The location is good, accessible to all the attractions.
No reception so no staff interaction. Not able to request top up of supply in the room.
Great location
Had to change rooms due to smell of drains and dirty pillows
Wouldn't book here again which is a shame because the location is decent, and the self check in service is convenient. I was in room 2, it is a very small room but that wasn't actually an issue for me. I never write negative reviews but this needs to be said. The room is absolutely unbearable to sleep in due to the heat. It is VERY stuffy and hot. We tried to sleep for quite some time before deciding we would have to make the long journey back home at 1am because it was not possible to get to sleep at all, we had a few cold showers and wet towels before we decided it was genuinely not possible to sleep in those conditions. There is one fan and it just circulates hot air. Felt so sick. Was such a relief to leave the room and get outside to walk to the car, where it was actually cool. Room 2 is clearly a heat trap. Sorry but I would not recommend having this room up for booking without air con in the summer months. Was left so tired the next day because of booking here.
Hotel room was decorated lovely, shower was powerful and modern, great location situated with in couple of minutes walks from town, park and river,
Bit awkward getting in to hotel first time ie codes weren't explained properly, on how to get key, this wasn't only us ,as we then helped other guests as they arrived,, Double was very small for 2 adults, Tea and coffee facilities were poor we stayed for 2 days and were given 1 teabag and 2 little pots of milk for 2 of us for 2 days
Convenient location with parking. Room had everything we needed.
Access was a bit quirky but nothing that unpleasant.
As described Air conditioning - a god send in this warm weather Fridge Toiletries and provisions provided
N/A
Check in information very good with videos showing how to access parking and the check in procedure. Staff very helpful when we arrived 20 minutes before check in time and couldn't get in as access code not activated until check in time. The lady opened the door for me and got my key, which then allowed access.
Expected the tea/coffee/milk to be replenished daily and it wasn't. We had 1 coffee pod, 1 tea bag and 3 of the little milks you get in hotels for the 3 days we were there. There were 3 oat 'milk' tubes (like you get on planes) and 2 decaff coffees, and that was it. There was also a light buld missing from a bedside light that I reported but nothing was done about it. There didn't appear to be any staff easily contactable there (the one I saw on the way in was a chance meeting as she just happened to be going to their other office while I was around). The room itself was ok but I wouldn't stay there again.
Location
It was too hot in the room and there was advertised air conditioning but it was just a fan in the room.
It is a short pleasant stroll by the river from the railway station. Entry and check in is easy. The room is clean and comfortable.
Minor hiccup with the check in email where the link stopped working after a single use. Otherwise nothing I didn't like
Good location for the Shrewsbury centre and the railway station . Good sized car park . Great shower. Comfy Bed
We did not think that our room or communal areas had had a vacuum or seen a duster in a long time ...dark hair and balls of fluff all over the carpets. Dirty window ledges . Only 1 sachet of milk. Bedside light not working . In need of a good clean for sure . Electrical item plugs 'safety testing' out of date .
Convenient location. Clean room. Comfortable but small double bed
Baking hot. We couldn’t leave blind open with windows open due to being overlooked in room 2. Pub behind was really noisy making it even more difficult to get to sleep. Finally, 2 tea bags and 2 small sachets of milk. A bit mean when the accommodation is over £100 a night
Location was very central, parking and directions were clear. Having a fridge in the room was great for keeping items cool.
Unfortunately due to the hot weather the heat in the room was unbearable, a circulating fan doesn't count as air conditioning. The extractor fan for the bathroom needs repaired as it wasn't working, really noisy if switched on, one of the bed sidelights wasn't working either. Having a fridge in the room also kicks out heat from the condenser which puts more heat in the room.
Excellent location. The room was better than expected, the fridge was a nice addition. Neutral bright decor and parking was a bonus, they let us park up earlier to the check in time. Had aircon which was great during the heatwave.
The entrance was unkept and a little creepy. Full of cobwebs and looked abandoned. The room was mostly clean, the bedding was nice and fresh but the carpets hadn't been vacuumed and there were cobwebs across the ceiling in both the room and bathroom. Windows had cobwebs/ dead flies and had not been cleaned.
Central location and safe parking
The room needs a deep clean and the entrance to the main hotel is via what looks like an old indoor/outdoor bar.
The place was clean, bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice and the air con was amazing in the hot weather.
There was only one tea bag and 2 little pots of milk.
Nice decor, decent sized, great location for getting my into town, had parking, good locking system, air con, nice coffee machine
Wasn’t very clean, dead flies on window ledge, marks on the duvet cover, sheets felt damp I think from air con though, windows were wide open when we got there so room full of flies and moths, floor hadn’t been hoovered, Needed more milk in room, bizarre entrance area to hotel downstairs, no black out blinds so too light in the room with street lights, NO FULL LENGTH MIRROR! A must for ladies getting ready for a night out.
Easy check in and great location close to the centre
Air con was brilliant. Bed brilliant. Shower brilliant. Location brilliant. Parking brilliant.
Place was absolutely filthy. Windows filthy. Blinds broken. Mirror broken. Windows filthy. No toilet roll. No cleaning staff. NOT A HOTEL. No mention of 30 + stairs and as an invalid and pensioners (both mid 70s) struggled to get upstairs. IT IS NOT A HOTEL. Sorry but although lovely location and ideal location for Shrewsbury it was filthy. No cleaning staff around.
Great location with parking easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Our room and bathroom were good in size with the added bonus that our room had an air conditioning unit in place as it was warm whilst there
Not a problem as such but would recommend screenshotting the entry code as I had no signal in the car park so had to go for a walk until I could get the info needed!
Good location
Poor attention to cleanliness - there was take away food left in room 4. Poor ventilation in room 1.
Shower TV room in general was all good and great location.
Second time staying here as I thought it might be a one off that I had a dirty room. Cleanliness is definitely not good. Stains and hair on sheet's before I've even used the bed. Carpet incredibly dirty.
Convenient location close to the town centre, pubs, shops and restaurants. Large comfortable bed and great shower. Air conditioning was an absolute godsend on the day we visited since the temperature was over 30°. Helpful directions and a video provided by the host.
No soap in the shower. Only shampoo. Quite complicated to find the car park, but help was provided. Only a small thing, but the tv was quite small for such a large room.
Spacious room and given the weather the aircon was much appreciated !
Nothing really although the entrance from the car park is a little quirky!
Fantastic location, easy parking, easy self check in, omfortable room with ac which was greatly appreciated in the heat!
The tea and coffee statipn was a little frugal with 2 tiny pods of milk which gave enough for one cup. Wouldn't cost much more to them to offer litrle bit more milk so you could have more than one drink? Decaff coffee was included but not decaff tea as well which would have been good.
The location is perfect
The only thing is the window blinds could be darker the bright light streams through
Great place to stay. Instructions for checking in were very clear, with videos to show exactly where to park and obtain the keys. Location was excellent, being very close to the town and the theater. Having aircon was a lifesaver and made our stay very comfortable.
Couldn't fault anything. Perhaps a larger mirror somewhere might be nice.
Airco/ clean
Good location and added benefit of parking
Tired, very noisy floorboards outside of room. Very low water pressure in sink. Badly stained carpet, generally tired and tardy. Bathroom mirror dirty, no sink plug, peeling paintwork and looking very tired in its decor.
Good location with off street parking
The room overlooks a hotel that has live rock bands playing from 2.30 in the afternoon till late. The bands are playing outside and its impossible to sleep. The bed is tiny and it’s a very hot room
Great location if a little noisey being on a busy road. Parking is great once you find it.
We were on the top level and the stairs would not suit a lot of people. Would be good if it was mentioned in the description.
Excellent location . Lovely room
Nothing to report
Stain on side of matress and bed and some sort of velcro on side of tje base of the bed which caught on my leggings causing them to get pull marks on them
Location was ideal for our visit to the Theatre. Video with directions for parking was excellent. By chance we met a member of staff who was very helpful in taking us through the check in process.
Two sets of stairs, room right above a very busy street which unfortunately spoiled the experience as traffic was constant. Disappointing that the room beverage tray did not have tea bags, coffee yes but no tea.
Perfect location as is close to everything
It's so close to the pub next door that if you have a room at the back it's really noisy as they have live bands on weekends
Well organised 9
Needed a chair or 2 to relax in when watching TV or reading
locatie was prima loopafstand tot centrum. rond en toegang tot kamer wel minder
toegang en directe toegang tot kamer
Central for my visit
Need more coffee pods in the rooms
Small double bed, seemed complicated to get access, having to go to different pages for instructions
Easy self check in, videos beforehand to show you where to find parking, great location, clean room
Location in walking distance from the river and all local shops, theatre , cinema restaurant and pubs
No lift in hotel quite difficult to lug medium sized luggage bag up 27 stairs.
Location 5 minute walk into town, 15 minute walk to Castle. Room was a good size, bed was comfy. Air Con in room, good shower, with choice of hose or rain shower.
Self check-in... I was sent a code to use for the door and key box, but it hadn't been activated. Luckily, someone was on site (about to leave). Shower had body wash and shampoo, so I took no shower gel in with me. Only once in and wet did I find the body wash was empty There's a nice desk, but no chair with it. There was a comfy chair along the corridor, so I used that, but it was quite small, compared to the desk, so my laptop was around shoulder height Blinds on three windows, but only 2 could be pulled down. Sash windows didn't come down enough to lock
Central location with parking, the rooms were spacious, great facilities and comfortable, staff friendly, self check in easy to understand with the instructions sent
Self Check-in Rasche Antwort auf Anfrage 1 Lage
Strassenlärm Keine Antwort auf Anfrage 2 Kleine Duschtücher
Very clean & easy to find 😁
Nothing 👍
Go walk from theatre
Perfect location! Information provided before arrival was foolproof, room was ideal as only there for a night. Had everything we needed - well, mostly!
It was advertised with air conditioning, only to arrive on the day (being in the middle of a heatwave!) to no air conditioning but a fan, which subsequently led to an awful nights sleep as the room was unbearably hot!
Well located, clean and modern. Air conditioning in room. Lovely shower!
stairs to get up to room - no lift.
Great location, free parking, comfortable bed
Sensored light in the bathroom turning it pitch black whilst in the shower. Plenty of switches
Class Stays is in a great location for Theatre Severn Easy to find parking Great air-conditioning system Nice bathroom/shower Staff member onsite very helpful
Could not gain access going in, had to get help from staff Stair carpet very stained/dirty Blinds in room let in light all night so very bad nights sleep On the main road in to town so very noisy with traffic Laundry left outside adjoining room during our stay Fire Action notice needs to be filled in with a sharpie as it was too faint to read
Very clean and spacious rooms, with great parking facilities.
Great location to walk into Shrewsbury Car parking lot safe and off road. Video was very helpful in finding the parking area
There were a few small things I feel would improve the stay We were in room 4 and the windows are low, therefore a net curtain on at least the bottom of the window would mean we wouldn’t need to keep the blinds down when changing. Enough tea bags, coffee sachets and milk for the duration of a stay, A full length mirror Hooks for coats
We've stayed here many times and rooms always had a good king/queen sized bed hadntcrealised this was a double bed so very small . Room size was good.
The tea and coffee hadn't been restocked from previous occupiers. So 1 tea bag, 1 oat milk, no normal milk
The location to the centre of Shrewsbury is excellent and the booking and checking in procedures are simple and effective. It’s also great to get a secure parking spot on site, which we really appreciated.
There was a strong smell of drains in the room we were in (room 7) and so it made it quite unpleasant in there. It got slightly better with the windows open, but having to sleep with the windows open meant it was quite noisy with traffic from the road outside.
Good location for city centre and river. Secure access to hotel through 3 locked doors so felt very safe. Room comfortable and clean and nice bathroom so made an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Very good value for money. If you dont like dealing with people is very private. Shrewsbury has plenty to offer for a weekend break so get booking!.
Oat milk supplied in room doesnt work. Pub behind had disco although finished at 11pm. If your out n about in very lively nightime Shrewsbury you wouldnt notice.
Close walking distance to town centre. Clean room , good communication building up to the stay
Was ok for us but room 7 was at the top of the building with a lot of stairs. No coat hangers in the cupboard. Car park was ok but a bit difficult to find but they did supply a video. Without the video we would of struggled.
Very good info before arrived re: parking, access codes etc
Nothing
Very clean room and comfy bed - location is great for the theatre and town centre
The carpet on the stairs to the room was very muddy
Location great.
No coat hangers whatsoever in the walk in wardrobe, hence nowhere to hang our coats! We couldn't hang our coats on the back of a chair either, as there was no chair available! It really wouldn't hurt to put a couple of folding chairs and a small table in the room. Lying on the bed trying to drink a cup of tea isn't ideal.
