È possibile fare una passeggiata per poter andare ad ammirare la cascata in zona. Host super disponibile per qualsiasi evenienza, ci ha accompagnato fin sopra il treno panoramico per Ella. Super consigliato!

We really enjoyed our stay here. ❤️ The staff were so friendly, kind and helpful. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, the facilities were great, and everything was well taken care of. The breakfast was especially amazing — actually, it was the best breakfast we had during our one-week holiday in Sri Lanka! 🥰 We were very happy with everything and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! ❤️

Un animal qui a fait du bruit toute la nuit nous empêchant de dormir. Nous comptions sur le diner, nous avons été prévenu que c'était pas possible une heure avant alors qu'il pleuvait énormément.

Perfektes Erlebnis. Der Besitzer ist unglaublich nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat mich von der Busstation abgeholt und wieder hingebracht. Abendessen und Frühstück ist unglaublich lecker und sehr grosse Portionen. Der Besitzer hilft dir bei allem was du brauchst. Das Haus ist blitzsauber. Es werden Hausschuhe getragen, so das immer alles sauber bleibt. Das Bett ist super bequem und die Bettwäsche riecht sehr frisch. Das Haus ist gemütlich und schön eingerichtet, man fühlt sich direkt sehr wohl.

The hosts were great, and the stay included all the promised facilities. Dinner was amazing—the Egg Kothu was super tasty and came in a very generous portion! Breakfast was also included and featured delicious pancakes, fresh fruit, and Sri Lankan roti with curry.

Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit en août à Ruchi House. Les chambres sont propres. Nos hôtes étaient très gentils et attentionné ce qui a rendu notre séjour très agréable dans une ambiance cosy. Ils ont pris le temps d’échanger et de nous conseillé. Le petit-déjeuner et varié, permettant de découvrir un éventail de spécialités sri-lankaises. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié le repas du soir. Une excellente adresse que nous recommandons vivement !

La famiglia che gestisce la struttura è davvero gentile ed accogliente. La camera è pulita e comoda. La colazione è davvero ottima. Il signore ci ha anche accompagnato alla stazione di Nanu Oya, ad un prezzo vantaggioso e si è preoccupato di farci salire sul treno.

El día que fuimos hacía MUCHÍSIMO frío y la casa al ser tan antigua no aislaba nada.

Struttura molto accogliente così come il padrone di casa, abbiamo avuto la possibilità di cenare entrambe le sere lì spendendo veramente poco e di alta qualità! Il padrone di casa super gentile ed onesto, ci ha anche portato in stazione il giorno della partenza.

Host super gentile, camera grande, funzionale con tanti posti dove poggiare le proprie cose, e pulita. I propietari mi hanno fornito anche delle ciabatte per stare in casa e delle ciabatte per la doccia, cosa che ho molto apprezzato, perché nelle altre strutture non mi era capitato. Anche il mio driver quando ha visto la camera ha chiesto e prenotato una stanza lì per la notte. Inoltre la colazione era abbondante e buonissima.

Fijn ontbijt, en goed geprijsd. Er is ook een menu voor het avondeten, waar je uit kunt kiezen. Echt top! Het werd meteen nog gemaakt toen wij laat aankwamen met de trein uit Ella. Heel erg fijn. De dag erna regelden ze een extra tuktuk om op pad te gaan, want wij zijn met 5 personen en zelf hebben ze er maar eentje. Heel lief! Ook werden we naar het busstation gebracht (weer met een extra tuktuk), ideaal.

De gewone tweepersoonsbedden zijn 1.40 breed, wat wij best knus vinden... Wel met heerlijke dekens, en je hebt ze ook nodig 's nachts.

숙소 정말 추천합니다. 우선 도착하면 사장님이 픽업 와 주셨고 길이 익숙해진다면 메인로드에서 걸어서도 충분히 다닐만한 거리입니다. 그리고 숙소는 너무 아늑하고 예뻤으며 가장 중요한 청결도를 100점 주고싶습니다. 원래 1박 계획했는데 연장해서 머물렀습니다. 사장님은 정말 친절하셨고 제가 몸이 좀 안좋았는데 많은 도움을 주셨습니다. 그리고 조식은 맛있으며 양도 정말 많았습니다. 최고의 숙소입니다

Nous avons été au centre ville à pied... Mais le tuk tuk est préférable si vous n'aimez pas marché le long d'une route très passante...

De host was supervriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Niets was teveel gevraagd. Heerlijk ontvangen met thee, en direct huiselijk gevoel. Avondeten was mogelijk met enkele van de heerlijkste curry's die we al hadden. Ook ontbijt was overheerlijk. Absoluut een aanrader!

Lo que más nos ha gustado y agradecemos es la constante atención y cuidado por parte de los dueños. El desayuno es muy variado, abundante y estaba riquísimo. Dos noches cenamos también en la casa, tienen diferentes platos para que podamos elegir y la cena estaba muy rica. Hicimos una mañana entera de excursión en tuk tuk con el dueño de la casa y estuvo genial. Es una casa colonial que mantiene el estilo de aquella época. La casa está rodeada de tiestos con diferentes plantas y tiene una mesa con sombrilla, que también hemos utilizado. Recomendamos este alojamiento

The food was excellent, with a great variety and delicious flavors. The entire experience was relaxing and enjoyable, and the property was well maintained, making it a perfect place to unwind. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. We will definitely be visiting again!

Very kind and friendly owner. He really cared about our stay, was helpful and provided info regarding our plans. The breakfast and dinner were great. The room was clean and cozy, well equipped.

Location was good for us, we enjoyed walking through and experiencing the local town life and not just the tourist side. Food, breakfast and dinners were great, but the best thing was the hospitality of the owner and his wife. Nothing was too much trouble to organise and provided transport as required.

Nothing really, there was some street noise at night but not excessive, Would recommend to anyone seeking value accommodation in Nuwara Eliya in a special house.

築100年ほどの英国時代のイギリス人邸宅だそうで、インテリアもとてもかわいかったのと、かなり清潔だったのが印象的でした。また、宿の方にとても親切にしていただいて、すごく快適に過ごすことができました。朝ごはんも美味しかったです。宿から30分ほどのお散歩でLover’s Leap Waterfallという滝に行けるのもよかったです。夜はかなり冷え込みましたが、毛布もあり暖かく眠れました。シャワーもしっかりしたお湯が出ました。

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Ruchi House. The owner and his wife were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The house itself is a real gem—a beautifully preserved colonial residence that is over 110 years old. It was originally owned by a British lady named Miss Hover and has been passed down through the current owner's family. He has carefully renovated the property while preserving its original character and authenticity. The house is also spotlessly clean and full of historical charm. If you're looking for a genuine colonial-era experience in Nuwara Eliya rather than just another hotel, I highly recommend Ruchi House. It is a unique place to stay and one of the highlights of our visit.

On the first night, a neighboring property hosted a birthday party that continued until about 1:15 a.m., with loud music and noise. However, this was clearly beyond the owner's control, and we understand that it was an exceptional event rather than a regular occurrence. It certainly did not diminish our overall positive impression of Ruchi House, and we would happily stay there again.

Gastheer was erg vriendelijk, gastvrij en erg behulpzaam. Rijd je overal heen met zijn tuk tuk. Heerlijk gegeten, zowel ontbijt als avondeten. Kamer heeft een leuk zithoekje, daarnaast is er nog een eet/zitplek buiten je eigen kamer.

Unique colonial house with original decor. Very clean and comfortable with large room and walk-in shower. Very humble and helpful host who took us in his tuktuk to catch train to Ella. Nice breakfast included.

We stayed at Ruchi's House with two toddlers for 3 nights and felt very comfortable. The property was very looked after: very clean, no mould at all, comfy beds, crispy linen, quiet location (when our kids weren't going crazy 😂). Sanjee and his wife were welcoming and lovely to talk to. We had breakfast everyday at the property and dinner a couple of times; the food was absolutely delicious. We would definitely recommend staying with them!

Beautiful accommodation with attention to detail just outside of the city center. The hosts are so kind and helpful from arranging excursions and transportation to preparing delicious meals for us to enjoy. They charge a very reasonable price. Wonderful place, I highly recommend staying here.

Everything was perfect! The host was very kind and helpful, and had a strong sense of hospitality. The room was clean and big enough with a hot shower. I received a free pickup from the bus station and a tour of Nuwara Eliya, including a visit of a tea factory (for an extra cost). For a fair price, the host also organized my trip to Horton Plains National Park and dropped me off at Ambewela Station. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for the stay.😊

I had a a great stay at Ruchi House! The hosts were super nice and reacted very quickly via what’s app! The breakfast was amazing and a lot! You will for sure have a solid base for hiking! I also had a huge Kottu for a fair price which was very tasty. The rooms are spacious. I didn’t freeze during the night as I had very thick duvets. They also offer slippers for the shower so you won’t have to walk on the wet blood and slippers so you feet won’t get cold!

We loved everything about this property. A quaint 150 year old English house, with only a couple of rooms. The hosts were extremely friendly and happy for a chat. The breakfast was delicious, and the Chicken Kottu we had for dinner was the best so far. They were also very helpful and had a tuk tuk if you needed a ride anywhere, for a fee. Our room was very cosy and had the most comfortable bed, with lovely smelling linen. Only a short walk into the town centre. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough, it was amazing!

Personnes très accueillantes et aimables. Très arrangeants et ponctuels, nous souhaitions aller à Horton plains tôt le matin, ils nous ont préparé le petit déjeuner à emporter à l'heure. Chambres spacieuses et propres, eau chaude avec pression. Ils se sont débrouillés pour nous rapporter une figurine que notre fils avait oublié dans leurs hôtel.

Wir haben uns sehr gefreut eine Unterkunft für eine Familie mit 3 Kindern zu finden. Die Leute sind super nett, man wohnt mit im Haus, aber separat. Das Zimmer ist nicht sehr groß, und das 2. Doppelbett auch nicht super breit, aber wir haben alle Platz gefunden und für den Preis war das sehr in Ordnung. Wir sind morgens früh gestartet zur Wanderung nach Worlds End und hatten daher ein Frühstückpaket. Haben abends dort gegessen und das war eine gute Entscheidung.

Absolutely perfect homestay with the kindest hosts who went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay . Great value for money. We were picked up from the train station by Tuktuk, which was greatly appreciated since our train was delayed and we arrived late at night. We also got a ride to the bus station on our last day with helpful tips on which bus to take. The room and house were exceptionally clean, and homely. The breakfast was great, as were the dinner options (we ate in each night). Overall we could not recommend enough - 10/10 and would happily stay again! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ruchi house. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and our hosts were just the loveliest, kindest people you could ever wish to meet. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the bedding had a really lovely smell. Our breakfast each day was very good and the evening meals were just wonderful- freshly cooked and so delicious. We chose to go on a trip to Ramboda Falls and a tea factory with our host and we had a great time- well worth the money.

Outstanding! Extremly friendly hosts, they even prepared a cake and a surprise for our son's birthday. The dinner was delicious and the portions huge! Also the breakfast was great! The room was impeccably clean. At the evening we walked around 30 minutes up the hill to the waterfall and we really liked it.

Great place that has a really cosy farm house vibe to it. Very comfortable beds and very affordable. Owner was ready to assist us with anything we needed whenever we needed it. No need to go out late at night as you can get dinner at the accommodation.

Excelente! Es la mejor estancia en la que hemos estado en Sri lanka. El dueño fue super amable y nos ayudo con todo. La habitación era super limpia y super grande. El señor tiene la opción de llevarte en su tuktuk por buen precio. El desayuno fue excelente y muy abundante

La casa es antigua de la época colonial, tiene su encanto. El señor es muy amable. El desayuno estaba muy bueno.

La habitación sería perfecta sino fuera por el aislamiento, entraba frío, ruido y olores del exterior. Un pequeño radiador no iría mal. Por lo demás genial.
