Good location and people were friendly

The showers were not good. It is gym locker style that women and men share. You don’t really get your own space to do what you need to so people can just walk in and see you in the shared area. I didn’t have a shower there but my roommate said the water you have to press the button every minute or so to turn the water back on? But room was clean and kitchen was ok. I just like a good shower…

No lockers provided in rooms and not arranged beds in a way of getting privacy from other bed, its kind of arranged in a row three people on three beds can see each other so had to cover my bed with blankets also no sockets for each bed provided, only one extension have 3-4 sockets for all 8 beds

We had a great stay here! The place was very clean, the food was good, and the staff were very friendly. The location is beautiful with amazing views, and the town around it is like a fairytale. It is also close to the waterfalls, Llandudno, Conwy, and other lovely places. Highly recommended!

Excellent location right near the centre of the village

My daughter and I spontaneously decided to have breakfast before a hike in the mountains. It was no trouble at all; the young woman quickly prepared a delicious and hearty English breakfast for us, with unlimited coffee and tea.

Showers could be a little better but to be expected at the price point.

The convenience of the location was excellent. The room was lovely and the free parking was a bonus. Fairly easy to find and drive to and within walking distance to everything in town which was fab.

The snoring guy in the other bunk. :) One of the people in our party found the bed uncomfortable but I found it decent. Be sure to bring your own towels when staying as this isn't mentioned in the booking.

Kitchen facilities and drying Spaces were not good enough for the volume of people at the hostel.

The hosts were very welcoming. The bunkhouse is tidy and cosy, the decor adorable. It's a great place to meet fellow travelers. You can get some good pizza dinner and an amazing breakfast. There are some stores and restaurants nearby, too, and a bus and train station. However, you don't even need to take a bus to have a great trip, there is plenty of beautiful places within walking distance. Sometimes an incredibly cute kitten can be spotted on the premises :)

I wasn’t sure if the kitchen was for everyone to use but it was indeed. I only realised after a few days though, so perhaps more clear information about that would be useful.

The staff was super kind. The breakfast was great. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The town around is charming.

Maybe there is too few toilettes regarding how many persons can sleep here.

Great location, cheap and cheerful bunkhouse with great sized rooms, good Loos and common areas and great water pressure and temp in the showers. Close to everything in Betws-y-coed and really friendly and helpful people.

It was as expected, so nothing. If you expect the Ritz you will be disappointed. If you want a comfortable bunkhouse then you've found a gem. Bar not open every day but thats no big issue.

Showers are pointed right at the clothes hangers and are on/off only with no temperature or pressure control. So you get lukewarm water and a wet towel & clothes. Small frustration that could easily be fixed.

Nicely placed for shops and pubs

Got kicked out the kitchen because the owner was doing breakfast to sell and supposedly we weren’t allowed in there at the same time. What kind of bunkhouse doesn’t let you use the kitchen. I didn’t want to buy breakfast from them I had my own 🤷🏼

Your staff were exceptional, friendly, very accommodating and helpful. I had food that needed to be in a fridge and they helped me with this. The pizzas were amazing!!!!

Only having 2 toilets amongst 30 odd people was a challenge! It was disappointing not to have any staff on site to sort out the noisy/drunk stag group that was staying, talking/laughing loudly at the outside tables and chairs until 1am when we had to get up at 2:40am for a charity climb. I also booked rooms where all our colleagues would be together yet one of team ended up on his own in the room with the stag group, he didn't get any sleep and had a day of climbing 3 mountains in front of him!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely home cooked pizzas for evening meal option and great breakfast. Couple of minutes walk from the picturesque town centre. Clean and tidy. No problems with parking right next to the bunkhouse.

Accommodation information states the kitchen is out of use, but it turns out you can use the kitchen when not in use by staff. Wish I'd know this earlier in stay in order to bring some of our own food and save some money. Dated, basic rooms but beds were comfortable. Fairly pricy for what you get but I guess it's all relative as Betws-y-Coed is generally an expensive place to stay.

We were put in a room with a other person, which considering the amount of rooms available was not great, there were beds unmade from previous stayers in the room AND the bar wasn't open! Considering that was a reason for choosing the place it was really disappointing.

Great staff, Cally was very nice, helpful and had a lot of patience. Good location, at a side street so you don't hear traffic. Restaurants, shops and the bus stop are all in a walking distance. Very comfortable. Bed were comfy, the place was clean. Very good value for money.

Not really set up for self catering. They let us do our food in the kitchen because they had so few guests but it was clear this wasn’t their usual set up. Toilets smelled on some floors. Communal areas small.

Cally was really friendly & helpful, she made us really welcome and prepared some really tasty pizzas for dinner one evening 😊 The Vagabond is in a lovely village and about 30 minutes drive to Llanberis if you’re looking to climb Snowdon. We had a family room which had plenty of space and the double bed was really comfy. Showers are nice and hot, and there’s an onsite bar if you don’t fancy strolling to one of the pubs/restaurants. This was my second stay and would happily return 👍

It was located in the centre of the town. Easy access to public transport

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and very good value for money. We had a great view from our room. Perfect location. Beds were comfortable. Overall good value for money.
