Location very close to beach and walking distance to all restraunts. Staff was very cordial and super nice. Always smiling.

No lifts, elderlies can have difficult experience and if you have heavy luggage, be ready for a workout.

Friendly and helpful staff, room had everything I needed (the fridge, microwave, sink and crockery were handy), great location, very central and close to beaches, surf schools and shops etc. I would definitely stay again.

Location, location, location. The penthouse is gorgeous with 2 bedrooms. Main bedroom has superking size bed with lounge chair and view of the ocean from the window (also seen in the lounge). The bathroom is massive. The 2nd bedroom is smaller with bunkbed (double). Open plan with acees to all the mods of kitchen for cooking and utensils. Raymond (front desk) is fantastic and very engaging!

Both televisions did not work (master bedroom and lounge).

Great location close to beach and high street, we found free parking on the road for the week, nice friendly staff with good family rooms, nice comfy clean beds.

Staff friendly, but this is the only good thing. Not what we expected. Not good value for money at all.

Advertised on website as sea view (you could hardly see the sea from the side). Old furniture, doors, carpet, everything in the bathroom, textured linoleum and could see dirt. Very dirty carpet on hallway. Smell in the room, not sure if damp smell. Stains on the bed sheet.

Was offered a free upgrade to their standard studio room which was perfect. Self-checkin instructions were very easy to follow. The studio was spotlessly clean with most of the amenities you would expect from a studio. Definite bonus to have access to a washing machine. Very comfy bed. Great location.

Shame that the kitchenette didn’t have an oven or air fryer but not the end of the world as I was only expecting one of their standard rooms without any cooking facilities. However, if intentionally booking a studio for a long stay, a microwave and hob would be a bit limiting. It would be good if they provided larger bath towels but that’s really not a major issue. The lack of parking is a bit annoying. However, it is well advertised on the listing and for the majority of the nights managed to find on-street parking.

Absolutely perfect location, close to everything and quiet in the evening. The on street parking is free however does get quite busy, we managed to park outside thankfully. The room was a good size and the bed very comfy. Nice powerful shower and a great view over the town and beach from room 15. The staff member was very chatty and helpful. For the price I don’t think you would get better.

Parking could be an issue but wasn’t for us, our room was on the top floor which I do prefer but might be awkward for less mobile people.

Everything close to the beach and town amazing staff brilliant is all I can say ray and his wife really work hard to look after you lovely people

Quiet, good location ie near town and beach. Not far from Newquay station. Staff nice, didn't bother us unless we needed something which didn't really happen as most things supplied. Ray at reception very pleasant and helpful.

No lift to top floors, quite a lot of stairs.

Friendly man on reception, easy room key pick up and drop off. Room was small but what we need for the night. Bedroom and bedding was clean, bathroom a tad dated but all worked well, hot shower. Had a TV with apps

Very friendly and informative receptionist and staff., Lodge is central and close to town and the beach. Rooms were cosy too, loved the beds.

Not much only thing I would suggest is maybe to put a sink in the lounge / common area to wash hands etc. When we came in with food I had to drag the kids all the way to the top floor to wash our hands. Also mini fridges in the rooms will be very handy especially for those of us with little ones.

Location is great. We had see view room. Bed was comfy and room clean. Tv and wifi work fine.

Only one towel per person and during 3 nights stay and they were not changed. Tea and coffee was provided but not topped up. Only kettle was in the room and microwave is downstaurs in the communal arrea. Shower head was strangely positioned - it was so hard to not wet my hair. No parking

Absolutely everything. We have had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Can't recommend Reef Lodge highly enough. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Inna who sorted out our booking situation so efficiently and Ray on Reception-what a guy! Our room was immaculate and a fun layout for a family of 4 with double bed and steps up to a cabin-style twin bed set up for our kids. They had their own exciting space to play games, draw and play up here. The room also had a fantastic sea view. We felt so at home throughout the entirety of our stay here and will definitely be back again. A PERFECT location too...5 minute walk down onto Towan beach and the shops~ Book it! You will not be disappointed.

The hotel has a great family atmosphere, along with its excellent centr a l location ,I would recommend it to anyone who wants a safe and comfortable place to stay for a family holiday in Cornwall, /Derek and Julie/ Dublin

Fantastic location, basic but well appointed and comfortable triple room & really nice helpful & responsive staff.

There was no wardrobe in the triple room so if you’re staying for a longer period, could be tricky but didn’t matter for my 3 nights

Authoritarian rules. No eating in the rooms. Common toom closes at 10 pm. No refrigerator access No almirah in the rooms. Takes £50 security which is confiscated if you break any of the rules.

parking was an issue which was expected due to location so be prepared, we walked everywhere as did not want the hassle of trying to find a space, other than that cannot fault our stay, will return.

Super Lage. Man kann zu Fuß in die Innenstadt zu den Geschäften, Pub und Restaurants und am Strand ist man auch ganz schnell. Angenehme Zimmergröße mit großen Fenstern und somit gutem Blick auf die Stadt und aufs Meer. Sehr freundlicher, unterhaltsamer und sich kümmernder Rezeptionist.

Der Wasserstrahl in der Dusche könnte etwas besser sein - sauber wird man aber trotzdem.

The apartment was fairly clean (even though the carpet could have used a better cleaning) and centrally located

We were given the apartment on the last floor and it was simply too hot. At night, with less than 18 degrees Celsius outside, inside the room was still above 28. The kids bed were even in a hotter area, being located in a very small (and quite unsafe to reach) loft. The window openings were too little to allow proper air circulation. At the end, we had to sleep all together in the main bed with the fan on, because sleeping in the loft with no fan was not an option.

There was a giant hole in the staircase the stairs are absolutely filthy the room was so tiny . It was extremely hot the windows only open an inch probably because when people stay they jump out of them .The paint on the floor in the bathroom is all peeling . A little bit of effort and this could have been an ok stay.

That there wasn’t air con, was quite warm being on second floor.

The location was good and the building itself was clean the room was clean as well.

The room had one fan and no aircon. We stayed in the family view which has a loft which looks a lot bigger in the photos, we ended up having to move our mattresses on the little floor space left downstairs as the loft was actually suffocating because it was so hot it is not safe to stay up there even with the fan on and windows open, considering that it was a family view and that is the children’s sleeping area there should be better ventilation and air con for a property that’s peak season is in summer. The room looks a lot bigger in the photos there was very little space downstairs I wouldn’t recommend a family stay there even two adults would struggle. The bathroom was clean enough but the facilities were average felt like a public bathroom. Also the lift was not working it was hard to carry all our luggage up the very narrow steep staircase to the top floor. A minor note is that there is a floor length mirror pictured that was not in our room.

The internet was not working at night. I was strugling to fall asleep and decided to watch some youtube videos on the tv,but the internet was off.Other things was excellent.

Ray, the Owner we believe, is a superstar! We stayed for one night before moving to another hotel as the Reef was fully booked. Luckily, we left our luggage at the Reef while checking out the next hotel as the next hotel proved to be awful in every way, especially for our children. Ray, on hearing our situation, went out of his way to accommodate us for an extra night even though the Reef was tentatively fully booked. It gave us valuable time to sort out a much more suitable alternative than what we had previously booked. Aside from that, our extended stay at the Reef proved to be highly satisfactory! Great job, Ray and the team!

The Hotel is a perfect location for accessing all parts of Newquay and the seaviews are amazing. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. You are made to feel like old friends, rather than guests with lots of recommendations available for whatever you wanted to do in the area.

Not a negative but just a warning - there are a lot of stairs.... not a problem for us, we loved it.

De locatie is ok, redelijk dicht bij de main shopping street, grotendeels zonder al te veel lawaai (hoewel er op zaterdagavond wel een vechtpartij onder ons raam was).

Het is een wat liefdeloze omgeving, op de begane grond is een gezamenlijke ruimte waar ook spullen worden opgeslagen. De lift werkt structureel niet, was afgeplakt (onze kamer was op de derde). Smal trappenhuis naar de kamer die echt klein is, twee eenpersoonsbedden konden net diagonaal tegenover elkaar staan. Vloer van badkamer is afgebladderd, daar ligt dan een matje overheen.

It’s in an excellent location to explore Newquay. Two minutes to the town centre and not far to the beach. Some rooms have a side sea view. Staff were welcoming and the rooms and bathrooms very clean. Bed was really comfortable. I’d stay there again.

We booked this hotel for a last minute getaway. We was welcomed by a lovely gentleman on reception and shown to our room. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean..the location was brilliant, central to everything including the beach.

Run down, needs lots of repairs and a revamp.. not the cleanest.. no lifts and lots of Floors and stairs to climb, nit good if you have a lot of luggage and not very disabled friendly

Host was a great guy and the place is very clean and comfy would definitely stay again.

Only thing was the shower being a push button, the water was hot and room to wash, juat like an old push button shower you had a school or thw swimming baths.

I stayed for a whole week at Palace Surf Lodge. I stayed with my 18 year old daughter and my cousin. I can honestly say we had a fantastic week, It's basic, we had our own room with bunk beds and our own toilet and shower We found the beds to be very comfortable and we all slept really well. It was clean. The owner is very helpful, approachable and easy to contact. The location is amazing. I would definitely return. It's a that does what it says on the tin.
