The view is amazing and the breakfast was really great. The hosts are also very friendly.

The moldy smell in the room unfortunately killed it for us. It was overall fairly clean, but I felt really uncomfortable. The bathroom smelled even worse. It overall didn’t make us want to spend a lot of time in the room.

Everything about this place was amazing, from the rooms, the scenery, the location and especially the hosts who were just the most amazing people who went out of there way to accommodate any needs I had. They're an amazing couple and I can't wait to visit them again. An amazing experience and a friend for life.

Сам номер соответствует описанию, в нем приятно находится, чистый просторный санузел, великолепный завтрак, который сервируют в любое время по твоей просьбе

В номере только вентилятор, но это было указано при бронировании. Отель находится в отдаление от основных ресторанов и магазинов, но на тук-туке очень быстро добраться до центра города за 5-7 минут, так что это не является проблемой, а наоборот добавляет впечатлений.

Large room with stunning views, Danushka was a very communicative host and the breakfast we had on our final morning was affordable and delicious! Thank you :)

There was no water filter where we could refill our bottles to had to rely on bottled water, which wasn't so environmentally friendly. The fan in our room also sounded like a jumbo jet engine, but everything else was fabulous.

La chambre est magnifique avec une vue sur Ella qui a elle seule vaut le coup, la literie est très confortable. Bonus du petit déjeuner (qui est lui aussi excellent), servi sur le balcon à l’heure choisie par nos soins. Les hôtes sont géniaux et se rendent disponibles dans l’instant. Ils proposent leur service de tuktuks et de taxi lorsqu’on le demande. Ils nous ont même permis de garder la chambre 1h de plus afin de visiter tranquillement une cascade sans se presser ! Je recommande à 100%

Emplacement au calme et donnant une vue époustouflante sur la vallée au réveil. Le personnel au petit soin et toujours disponible pour nous aider. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables.

Le manque d’une Clim est le seul point négatif, le soleil tape le matin sur les fetres il fait donc très vite chaud et le ventilateur ne suffit malheureusement pas, mais ça reste supportable et largement compensé par cette vue!

Es war eine rundum tolle Erfahrung. Das Zimmer war mit dem einzigartigen Ausblick unübertrefflich, die Besitzer waren sehr zuvorkommend und auch das Frühstück war ein Traum.

The owners were super friendly and helpful with everything! The room was lovely, but the balcony and the view are definitely a 10/10. You can even watch the sunrise right from there! It might look a little far from the main street on the map, but it’s actually only about a 10-minute walk down some easy stairs. The breakfast was also delicious and very generous. We really enjoyed our stay! 😊

We absolutely loved our stay at Rock Paradise! The location is simply stunning, with a phenomenal view that makes you want to stay forever. But above all, what made this place so special were the incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. They were always there for us and went above and beyond to help with everything we needed. They arranged tuk-tuks, scooters and taxis for us at very reasonable prices, which made everything so easy and stress-free. And the breakfast… absolutely incredible! Fresh, delicious and honestly one of the best breakfasts we had during our trip. A beautiful place, with beautiful people. We would wholeheartedly recommend Rock Paradise and would love to come back! ❤️

La habitación muy amplia, luminosa y con unas vistas espectaculares. El baño también muy completo. Nos consiguieron alquiler de moto y también driver+jeep para ir a Yala National Park. Ese dia al irnos muy pronto al parque, nos prepararon el desayuno para llevar. El personal muy atento en todo momento!

Para llegar si o si tienes que llegar en tuktuk o alquilar moto... Está arriba de la montaña y tiene muchas escaleras.

Camera bella, spaziosa e molto accogliente, con una bellissima vista sulle montagne. Danu e sua moglie Chathu sono di una gentilezza straordinaria. La colazione è ricchissima, varia e davvero ottima. La posizione è comoda: circa 8 minuti in tuk tuk dal centro, servizio che può organizzare direttamente Danu, oppure circa 20 minuti a piedi.

L’unica piccola pecca è che al mattino entra molta luce in camera, quindi consiglio di avere una mascherina per dormire.

L’hotel si trova a cinque minuti di tuk tuk da Ella, situato in un’area più alta con una vista bellissima sulla natura. Nei dintorni ci sono ottimi ristoranti dove mangiare e il proprietario è disponibile con il proprio tuk tuk o auto a portare in giro gli ospiti. Ad esempio a noi è venuto a prendere in stazione e ci ha portato a casa (gratis), mentre il giorno dopo ci ha portato a fare un escursione a delle cascate molto belle (a pagamento). La colazione è ricca e molto buona e servita sul balcone da cui si ammira con una vista stupenda. C’è anche la possibilità di usufruire del servizio di lavanderia.

La stanza è molto minimal, potrebbe essere arricchita con un armadio o qualcosa per appoggiare i vestiti. Per il resto tutto perfetto!

Es war unsere beste Unterkunft in SriLanka! Chathu und Danu waren tolle Gastgeber, sie waren zuvorkommend, sehr nett und konnten gut Englisch. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen großartig und wirklich sehr viel. Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr schön, es gab ein Mückennetz und einen Ventilator und die Aussicht war fantastisch. Das Badezimmer war auch super.

Es war etwas heiß ohne Klimaanlage, aber ansonsten gibt es nichts zu meckern.

While travelling about the country we planned to stay at this hotel just for one night, but after the first days we decided to extend our staying there. The hosts, Chathu and Danu, are the most hospitable, kind and respectful hosts we have seen here. There is everything you need there: absolutely clean, spacious and bright rooms with an amazing view; hot water, tea,coffee, teapot, fridge, so you don't need to think about anything. The vew is breathtaking and the sounds of nature at night time is wonderful. Moreover, Chathu and Danu help with tours, places to visit,with the transportation, Danu rides Tuk Tuk really well and never rejected to take us to the places we need. It's worth mentioning very tasty breakfasts served on the balcony, which are made by Chathu. So, we absolutely fell in love with this hotel and the city itself, and hope to come back one day!

Our stay at rock paradise was amazing! The view is absolutely incredible!!! The home stay is up on the hill, just outside of the centre. The centre is a short 15 minute walk downhill with stairs along the way that act as short cuts. You can also rent a motorbike to get around which is what we did and loved it - less than 5 minute drive downhill The owners are incredibly hospitable, kind and friendly. They were very responsive via WhatsApp with any questions or requests we had and even kindly offered to pick us up from Ella train station! The breakfast is also amazing and very generous servings. It’s a beautiful way to start the day with breakfast on the balcony. They also offer a laundry service which was great and convenient. Would highly recommend staying at rock paradise - a big highlight for our time in Ella!

This was one of our favourite stays across our whole trip around Sri Lanka! The location is excellent, being central enough to walk into town but also far enough to be distanced from the noisy bars and streets busy with tuk tuks. Our room was really nice, clean and had excellent facilities (the shower was particularly special!). And the view from the balcony was breathtaking - we made sure to wake up early each morning to watch the sunrise over Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock. But the highlight was the friendly and helpful hospitality offered by hosts Chath and Danu. They were ready to help with anything at all, giving recommendations on local sites, arranging tuk tuks/cars for short/long journeys, and serving delicious breakfasts on our balcony each morning. We couldn't recommend Rock Paradise more highly!

The owners, Danu and Chathu (sorry if my spelling is wrong), are the sweetest people ever! So helpful and attentive. The views from the balcony are also seriously the best I’ve ever seen, photos can’t do it justice. The breakfast is delicious, the bed was super comfy and the shower is HOT (which can be iffy in parts of Sri Lanka). Highly recommend to anyone :)

Absolutely everything! The hosts were so accommodating - they cooked us delicious food; breakfast and dinner. They made us feel so warm and welcome and were happy to help us with booking tours and transportation. The view from the room is incredible! Couldn't have asked for a better stay in Ella!

Danu and Chathu were such great hosts. They made our stay so easy and enjoyable and organised us a scooter and gave such helpful recommendations and advice for Ella and our activities. The accommodation was so comfortable, clean and perfectly located, the view from the balcony was unmatched and the breakfasts were 10/10. We would have loved to stay longer and would highly recommend it to anyone else staying in Ella.

Everything was amazing. From the view to the exceptional host we had. The flat is not central but not far either (is 15 minutes walk from centre) but it’s worth the walk. Waking up and having breakfast with that view is incredible. Also the breakfast is huge and delicious and only 1800per 2people. The hosts were so nice, they recommended us so many things to do and see. Me and my boyfriend are not the best planners so we’d always had last minute requests for transportation and they would always help and when they couldn’t help they would recommend what to do. The place is great but Chathu and Danu made it fantastic. Please go there if you go Ella

Very very nice, and clean room with a spectacular view to Ella Rock. Very good shower with Hot water. Extraordinary breakfast, extremely nice couple who helped us every moment we had a question. Danu drove us to little Adam Peak and he showed us the way to Nine arches Bridge. He helped us booking a cooking class and organised a Driver to IUawalawe. Wow!!! We had the most lovely stay here. Chathu and Danu, the couple who run Rock Paradise are the most lovely and hospitable people we have come across on our travels. I would 100% recommend Rock Paradise Homestay if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Ella. Hospitality is 11/10 with a super convenient location. Breakfast was also absolutely delicious with stunning views from the balcony.

The owners were fabulous so caring I have never seen such hospitable homestay owners. The breakfast was superb. Very honest they found us very reasonable ride coming back to Colombo airport. Will come back soon.

I loved everything

The host couple are also lovely and communicative to ensure our arrival to the accomodation is safe. They welcome us with welcome drinks. And their breakfast is really good. The room is clean. The host is really helpful with navigating around Ella.

The power went off a couple of times... but it doesn't bother us to much.

De eigenaren zijn echt de liefste, meest behulpzame mensen ooit. Het ontbijt was fantastisch en het uitzicht vanaf je balkon adembenemend!

Ik kon nergens echt mijn kleding ophangen en de douche werd niet altijd even goed warm.

Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de kamer en een erg lekker ontbijt. Hele vriendelijke eigenaren die altijd voor je klaar staan, van het regelen van vervoer tot het doen van de was.

De kamer was wat warm zonder airconditioning. En de douche was niet afgeschermd waardoor de hele badkamer nat werd.

The views are exceptional, the rooms spacious, modern and comfortable. You can watch the sunrise from your bed and sit out with a cooling afternoon breeze. It’s a 15 min walk to town or a 5 min tuk tuk ride but there are also lovely restaurants on the doorstep. The hosts are so kind. I had to visit the medical centre whilst there and Chathu took me in his tuk tuk, no charge. The breakfast is beautiful and they also do laundry 500 LKR/kg, very reasonable and back the same day.

This homestay was absolutely amazing. The family really made a great effort with us. They organised all of the activities that we decided to do and also all of the transportation. They made our experience in Ella great and they even brought us to try some local foods. The homestay had honestly one of the best views in Ella and was so worth every penny. I would recommend anyone who is visiting Ella to stay here for at least a night. 10/10 experience. Thank you guys❤️❤️

Rock Paradise Homestay was a breathtakingly beautiful place to stay in gorgeous Ella. The view was just stunning and the glass all the way around the room mean you can really soak it in! I could happily have passed an entire day on the balcony/ in the room if there was wasn’t so much to do in the surrounding area! It was a really special experience to stay here, and I will particularly remember eating breakfast on the balcony with the view, enjoying the comfortable balcony in the early morning and evening, and the absolutely lovely hosts, Chathu and Danu. They were just so warm, lovely and helpful and we couldn’t have asked for more. The breakfast is also absolutely delicious, and massive! The room is equipped with everything you would need and also water is hot :) We also had our laundry done here for a great price which was another bonus!

As others have mentioned, it’s a walk up/down the hill to get to the center (approx 15 mins), but tuk tuks are incredibly easy to arrange so this was no issue for us at all.

המקום מהממם ונקי, מתאים למי שמחפש שקט. החיסרון היחידי זה המרחק מהמרכז אבל הם משפחה מהממת ונענם שמזמינה לך טוקטוקים ולפעמים גם הבעלים לוקח אותך. הבעלים לקח אותי לרכבת עזר לי לקנות כרטיס ובאמת שזה היה ממש נחמד מצידו.

היה חסר לי מזגן והמרחק מהמרכז מלבד זה הכל עבד מעולה

Husband and wife team who both spoke good English and were super helpful. Apartments are well thought out with amazing views from the balcony. Fantastic breakfast Need to be aware it’s up a high mountain and it’s a steep walk down hill. Definitely Tuk tuk material. Some nice restaurant options near by.

Best accommodation in Sri Lanka and possibly the best we've stayed in for a very long time! If you're planning a trip to Ella, this place is an absolute must! The room is incredible, starting with the super comfortable bed (even the bed linens were of exceptional quality), the beautiful bathroom with a modern rain shower, and the terrace offering breathtaking mountain views (we got take away dinner the first evening and enjoyed ourselves there, as you cannot get enough!). You can literally watch the sunrise while lying in bed! The breakfast was incredibly generous and delicious, the best we had in Sri Lanka. I'm definitely going to miss those amazing honey and coconut crepes! I also can't say enough about Danushka and his family. They were incredibly attentive, welcoming, kind, and always ready to help throughout our stay. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up extending our visit by another night. As for the location, we had our own tuk-tuk, which made getting around easy. However, even without one, I would still choose to stay here and simply take an Uber or tuk-tuk from Ella town. The experience is far more peaceful and authentic than staying in the busy town itself, and it's only a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride away. You can also hike to Ella Rock directly from here, reaching the top in less than two hours. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience. I'm giving it a 10 only because I can't give it a 100! Thank you, Danushka and your family, for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

We loved everything!

Het uitzicht vanuit het balkon van de kamer was prachtig! We kregen hier elke dag een heerlijk ontbijt. De eigenaren waren heel erg lief en behulpzaam, voor ons het fijnste verblijf van Sri Lanka!

Super vriendelijke eigenaren! Het uitzicht en het uitgebreide ontbijt op het balkon elke ochtend waren echt het hoogtepunt. Het is op redelijke loopafstand van het centrum. De douche is ook heerlijk!

Wat ons het meest opviel waren de enorm lieve en behulpzame eigenaar/eigenaresse. Je kon ze appen over alles en ze hielpen met liefde! Kamer was ook heerlijk! Schoon en met een prachtig uitzicht! Bedankt voor deze heerlijke 4 nachten en elke dag een heerlijk ontbijtje!

We had a wonderful stay at Rock Paradise. The breakfast was the best we have had and the view - just wow!!! Communication was excellent. The room was clean and the bed really comfy. They helped us out with tuktuks and also arranged a tuktuk to take us to all the places we wanted to visit at a very reasonable price. We were also really lucky to be there for the Poya Day procession which passed by and was all explained to us. All super friendly. We would highly recommend.

All excellent. It’s a bit out of town but we knew this and it was not a problem. The view was so worth it!

Mon seul regret c’est son emplacement , un peu excentre . Cela dit se situant sur les hauteurs , il offrait une vue imprenable sur les montagnes et la vallée . On ne peut tout avoir .

La chambre très spacieuse , propre , avec une terrasse très agréable . Dommage pas de gel douche ni shampooing et pas de bouteilles d’eau , comme c’est le cas partout où je suis passée .

By far our favourite place we stayed in Sri Lanka! The family that host are so lovely and kind! Always smiling and happy. I wish them so much happiness and success in their future. The room was super clean and the views are beyond beautiful! We extended our stay adding another night as we were enjoying it so much.

Everything! The room was spacious and cozy, with an amazing view from the balcony. The hosts were super kind and helpful, and prepared delicious breakfast for us every morning at our preferred times. The location is quiet and peaceful, and it is possible to walk down to the city in about 20-30 minutes, as well as hike to famous landmarks.

Prachtige locatie, hoog in de bergen met mooi uitzicht! Vriendelijke eigenaren en zeker waar voor je geld. Absolute go to als je wilt verblijven in Ella. Met een short-cut ben je met kwartiertje lopen beneden in het stadje. Fijne bedden en een deken.

I had the most AMAZING stay at rock paradise! The owners are the kindest people I met in Sri Lanka - they helped arrange all transportation during my visit and set up a motorbike for me to use. The room was very comfortable, and the view was unbelievable. I slept the best all trip at Rock Paradise! I can’t recommend this place enough. I also liked being a few minutes outside of the main town - it was quiet and relaxing.

Bei dieser Unterkunft hat einfach alles gepasst, sehr sauber, wahnsinnig gutes Frühstück dass sogar auf dass Zimmer gebracht wird, alles vor Ort was man braucht und dass Personal einfach der Hammer!! Ist sehr bemüht dass man sich hier richtig wohl fühlt und sie geben viele Tips was man alles unternehmen kann. Kann diese Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen!!!

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war rundum großartig. Wir waren mit allem mehr als zufrieden und haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Das gesamte Hotel war stets sauber und gepflegt, was den Aufenthalt zusätzlich angenehm gemacht hat. Danu und Cahthu waren außergewöhnlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und sind jederzeit auf unsere Extrawünsche eingegangen. Auch der Wäscheservice war ausgezeichnet und sehr zuverlässig. Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
