Мы были голодные с дороги в отеле нет ни фруктов, ни каких то снежков, печенья. Для пятизвездочного отеля это странно. Завтрак тоже был недостаточный, мы остались голодные, масок из упаковки. Есть красивая гостиная, модно накрывать завтрак там а не оставлять под дверью. После выезда, нам прислали фотографию что мы испортили стол, хотя ничего горячего даже не было и мы использовали подставки.

Juliet and David are wonderful hosts! They made sure we had all that we needed and were so informative about the area. They really go to great lengths for their guests. The property is stunning and the room was beautiful. Juliet made delicious breakfasts Can’t say enough good things about our stay. Wonderful.

David and Juliet are wonderful hosts and have a dreamy little spot. I’ve never seen so many stars. We loved staying here.

We had a wonderful one night stay. Juliet greeted us on arrival and was very warm and helpful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the wonderful breakfast delivered to our room! A lovely spot away from the hustle and bustle of town and 5 minutes from a delightful brewery where we had dinner.

Our stay at Moonlight Escape Lodge was phenomenal! A stunning experience all around. We particularly loved the personal touches and appreciated the allergy-friendly options for breakfast. The booking system for the hot tub was well managed. Hosts were just the right amount of accessible and discreet.

Slightly out of town, but never an issue as we had a hire care and preferred to be away from the busyness anyway.

We loved everything about this wonderful place!! It was like going to stay with friends... greeted upon arrival, shown around the house then to our gorgeous room. Definitely a 5-star experience with quality supplies (lovely linen) and superior service. So private, but owners are discreetly available if you need anything. Amazing value for money. We will definitely be returning for a luxury getaway again in the future.

We loved everything. Some people might find their winding gravel driveway a bit of a challenge, but it's well maintained and nothing to be anxious about. No cooking or washing facilities (totally fine by me) but lovely restaurants close by.

It’s was so remote and quiet however so close to everything and only 10 min drive to Queenstown town centre. The hosts were so accommodating for breakfast and the spa booking was fantastic after a long day out exploring.

The property is absolutely stunning 😍 the room we were staying in was super comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. We also loved the breakfast that was included. This was a really nice touch. They also have a hot tub which is included for you during your stay. We did this at sunrise and it was beautiful

I couldn’t fault the property itself only location maybe it was a little bit further from Queenstown than we would have liked however if you want to be a little further from the noise than this location would be ideal for you because it is close enough that you can drive to Queenstown

Just about everything was exceptional. The breakfast was lovely and what a great view from the room to enjoy whilst eating it. We could not have felt more welcome by our friendly and helpful hosts!

We liked everything about our experience and walked to the nearby Canyon Brewery and back where we had an excellent evening meal and refreshment. The walk back took about 15 to 20 minutes, but was a bit steep in places, so some might find this a bit challenging.

We had such a wonderful time at Moonlight Escape Lodge. It is a beautiful property and the garden and surrounds are stunning. Close to lots of things and a quick 10 minute drive into Queenstown. The hosts David and Juliet couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The rooms were spotless and breakfast was delicious. The shared living space is so warm and cosy, we almost didn't want to venture out. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The property is a fantastic hideaway but close to Queenstown and Arrowtown. Very well manicured, exceptionally clean, the hot tub is a real treat and our hosts were amazing.

What a great find! Only a short car ride to Queenstown and easy access to other areas nearby eg Arrowtown. This property is absolutely stunning from the inside to the beautiful outside garden. The perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality linen which made for a great nights sleep! The hosts were super friendly and easy to contact with quick response time. Juliet makes the most wonderful breakfast with our highlight being the delicious homemade banana bread!

David and Juliet were such accommodating and amazing hosts. The rooms were extremely comfortable. The stay was excellent overall.

The hosts were so accommodating- we didn’t have a car and both David and Juliet drove us into town and then again to pick up a car at the airport. They were so fun to chat with and the rooms are immaculate, comfortable and everything you could want has been prepared.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich wunderschön. Top ausgestattet, wahnsinnig sauber und wirklich sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man ein paar Tage abschalten möchte. Wir hatten die Honeymoon Suite und es war wohl das schönste Hotelzimmer in dem wir jemals waren. Total hell, toller Ausblick und wunderschön eingerichtet. Juliet und David waren tolle Gastgeber - wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Kann ich nichts nennen - war wirklich alles perfekt.

L’établissement est placé au calme , via un accès sur un chemin et petit à petit nous arrivons sur de jolies végétaux pour arriver sur le parking et la maison que nous avons personnellement adorée . Décoration très jolie, canapés et lit King ou Queen size très confortable. Salle de bain avec douche et baignoire . Petit déjeuner superbe avec un toast chaud , œufs brouillés et avocat, et jus d’orange , céréales etc…et j oubliais le banana cake ….l’hôte est très discrète et est gentiment venue nous saluer à notre départ….franchement un trop court séjour dans ce magnifique endroit .

Difficile à dire en fait, y en a t il un ?! Je ne crois pas…peut être juste mentionner le manque de volets occultant mais en fait c’est anecdotique et c’est comme ça dans tous les endroits en NZ…

The best banana bread ever! The Moonlight Escape is surrounded by lush greenery high up on the mountain and welcomes its guests with a stylish dining room and a few exquisite guest rooms, each with its own bathroom (with underfloor heating) and a view of the countryside. The hosts, Juliet and David, give their guests a very warm welcome and immediately offer to reserve a hot tub for them. Breakfast is served in your room or at the long table in the dining room, as you wish. There is warm, fantastic banana bread and toast with scrambled eggs, avocado and bacon to go with freshly brewed cappuccino made with love in a very stylish atmosphere. We were even given warm banana bread to take with us for the journey 😍 Thank you, Juliet and David, for the wonderful time. We felt right at home! Nicole and Edgar

It was very calm and relaxing. We enjoyed the stay very much and the hosts are so lovely and caring!

We chose the location for the peace & quiet yet a short drive to Queenstown & loved it! Great view from our balcony room, delicious breakfast, friendly helpful hosts.

We could not have hoped for a better place to stay, or for better hosts. Juliet and David have created a beautiful place to stay in a quiet, stunning setting, forming a perfect base from which to explore Queenstown, Glenorchy and all of the stunning area around. The room was perfect, the breakfasts were outstanding ( they do undersell them by calling them Continental breakfasts......they're so much more than that), and the banana bread is more legendary than Lord Of The Rings 😊. To top it all, Juliet and David are perfect hosts; friendly, generous, informative...everything you would want from hosts, and so much more. If we are lucky enough to return to New Zealand again (sooner than the 20 year gap between our first and last visit), this will be the first place we book. Lovely host Juliet. Complimentary breakfast was great. Hot tub was great. Quiet spot. Might pay to get a 4wd if going up windy driveway to the lodge as was a bit skiddy for us in a qashqai.

We absolutely loved our stay at Moonlight Escape. Juliet and David were fantastic hosts. Our room was huge with 2 sofas, 2 easy chairs and a large comfortable bed. There is also a guest lounge/dining room. The whole place is tastefully furnished. Juliet served delicious cooked breakfasts each morning, followed by home baked banana bread. She really looked after us well. The views from the property are amazing and it is set in a beautiful position above the Shotover river. It was great to get back to the peaceful location after a day in the bustling town of Queensland which is only a 10 minute drive away.

The best accommodation that we stayed in and a lovely luxurious end to our 4 week road trip in NZ, very well located between Queenstown and Arrowtown with a great view down to the river from the lookout in the garden The suite was very spacious with high quality furnishings and a most comfortable large bed. Juliet and David made us extremely welcome and the homemade breakfast was perfect. Booking the outdoor hot tub late in the evening with a glass of wine looking up at the stars is highly recommended! We're hoping to go back to beautiful NZ again next year and if we stay anywhere in this area we will have no hesitation booking ourselves into Moonlight Escape Lodge again.

The unpaved driveway could do with some smoothing out and repairs but don't let it put you off, we were just a bit unprepared for it when we first arrived but our small SUV hire car managed to get up and down OK by taking it slowly.

Room was comfortable, generously sized, and the views from the property overlooking the river were great. The breakfast was listed as continental but that description very much undersold the delicious food we were served. A great base for nipping over to Queenstown and Arrowtown. Great hosts.

A beautiful place to stay overlooking the Stopover River. Tranquil and quiet up a 800M driveway to the property amongst the forest of trees. The hosts were a lovely couple who always appeared approachable, friendly and informative. Juliet's breakfasts were lovely! The hot tub was delightful.

One of the best stays I've had from booking.com. Moonlight escape was absolutely magical. Stunning views, delicious breakfast, super comfy beds, spacious room and a great hot tub. Juliet and David absolutely exceeded expectations. I would highly, highly recommend moonlight escape!!

Beautiful property in beautiful quiet surroundings. Warm welcome fabulous large room and lovely home cooked breakfast. Comfortable bed and lots of space to sit and read.

The drive is quite steep we had an AWD vehicle and it struggled at one point. Not sure if that was just us being unfamiliar in how to approach the driveway.

Super Amazing host David and Juliet. Made sure we had everything we needed and more. Went out of their way to make breakfast that catered to Gluten allergy. Down to earth and amazing people who run a clean, comfortable and beautiful Lodge. Cant thank them enough for all their recommendations on local food and activities as well as just being warm friendly good people.
